Removing my blindfold, I smile at Kayden with a Cheshire cat grin. Cocking my eyebrow towards the straw roof, I stare into Kayden’s mesmerizing green eyes. When his eyes are burning with passion and he’s all sexed up, I swear his eyes burn the brightest green. Looking into them instantly sucks the breath straight from my lungs, and makes me feel as if I’m under his spell. Damn, it’s a spell that I don’t ever want to be broken.

“Hot fudge! HA!” I say matter-of-factly, swiping a small dot of chocolate from the corner of his mouth, seductively sucking it off of my finger, making Kayden’s grip on my hips grows stronger.

“Bingo, baby.” Kayden says, sucking my breast into his mouth again. “Damn good chocolate, if I say so myself. The tits ain’t bad either.” He yelps as I slapped his arm. Followed by a deep chuckle, I can’t help but soak up this moment, us laughing and carefree. It’s amazing, and I love Kayden for doing this for me…for us.

“I know how wild it made you our first night together at the penthouse, so I thought what better way to make this vacation the most memorable one you’ll ever have than to give you a night of delicious. Hot. Kinky. Sex.” He says in between the path of kisses he's leading to my mouth. Kissing me passionately for what felt like hours but was really only a few short minutes, he lays me back down onto the pillow. Climbing off of the bed, I can‘t help but stare at Kayden’s gorgeous ass and sexy back dimples.

“I don’t know about you, but I’ve worked up an appetite this afternoon.” Flashing that panty dropping smile once again at me, I can’t help but notice the twinkle in his eye as he dangles a can of whipped cream in the air.  “I’m cravin’ chocolate covered Savannah, with whipped cream and a cherry on top.” He purs as he stalks towards me, his eyes blazing with desire, as they slowly look me up and down. He looks like a lion stalking his prey; his tongue dipping out of his mouth, running over his bottle lip ever so slowly.

Curling my finger in front of me, I coax Kayden to come onto the bed. Setting the contents for our deliciously kinky evening beside the bed, Kayden climbs onto it and hovers over me. “I’m ready to be devoured, my love.” I say, biting my lip and batting my eyelashes playfully up at him.

A low growl vibrates in Kayden‘s chest and slowly rolls from his lips. “Baby, by the time I’m through with you, I’ll be ten pounds heavier and sporting the biggest fuckin’ grin on my face.” Gripping my sides Kayden effortlessly pulls me along the bed so that I’m laying flat on my back. Not wasting any time, within seconds I’m covered in chocolate and whipped cream, screaming out Kayden’s name until my throat aches.

Chapter Ten

***

The sun is setting and I can hear the music growing louder up the hill at Kayden’s house. The party going on up there is the last thing on my mind as I watch Kayden sprint down the dock and summersault into the turquoise water below. Laughing hysterically, I sprint down the dock behind him and cannonball myself into the water. Kicking my feet, I float up to the surface, and find myself being pulled tightly against Kayden’s chiseled chest.

Brushing the wet strands of hair away from my face with his magical fingers, fingers that just about made me pass out from all the naughty things they did to me in our romantic oasis, Kayden flashes a smile at me, “You got a little something here…here…
and here
.” He teases as he pokes my lips, nose, and traces the valley between my breasts. We’re covered head to toe in hot fudge and whipped cream, and both sporting some very satisfied grins on our faces right now.

“Perks of having an ocean at your disposal my sex god, we can easily wash it all off.” I say playfully, winking at him and wiggling out of his embrace, to dunking myself back under the water.

“Sex god? I like the sound of that.”

Rolling my eyes at him, I swim back to the surface and climb up onto the pier with Kayden following right behind me. Taking full advantage of having my ass in his face, you can hear the loud crack from his hand connecting with my wet behind as the sound echos across the water.

“Ouch!” I scream moving faster up the ladder. Whipping my head over my shoulder, I peer down at Kayden, momentarily dazed by the view beneath me. He’s dripping wet, with his hair drenched and hanging all disheveled. The red and pink sky behind Kayden is making him appear god-like as he steps onto the wooden pier.

Cocking an eyebrow up at me and looking all innocent standing before me, he asks, “What?”

“Don’t what me, Knox!” My voice laced with anger, but my face deceives me, because I can’t control the glimmer in my eyes as I take in the magnificent view before me. “You better start running, jackass.” Is all I have to say, and Kayden is sprinting towards the house like a bat outta hell.

I can’t control my laughter as he slows down allowing me to catch him. I cock my hand back and swing with all my might, slapping his sexy tight ass. Instantly, my hand is stinging in pain, and I'm jumping up and down swinging my hand in the air. “Son of a bitch! That stings!”

“What can I say? I’ve got buns of steel, baby.” Kayden says, laughing at me as I dance around bitching at myself under my breath for slapping him so hard. “Come on Chuck Norris, lets get your sweet little ass up to the house.”

Picking me up, I gladly jump into Kayden’s arms, wrapping my legs around his waist. Shaking my head, I can’t help but smile at my nickname he gave me. He calls me that every time I get rough and rowdy, ever since I told him that I punched Logan in the face the day he showed up at my doorstep in Galveston.

After a quick shower, I tossed on a floral strapless dress and Kayden another pair of ripped blue jeans and a tight fitting v-neck white t-shirt. Even though we just spent the last two hours fucking ourselves into oblivion. Looking at him now, I’d risk cardiac arrest to go another round with him.

Sliding his fingers through mine, Kayden pulls me against him, leaning down connecting his mouth against mine, making every nerve ending in my body fire. Getting caught up in the moment, I slide my other hand tenderly through his damp hair. I slowly slip my tongue into his mouth, and let out a small moan against his lips as our tongues twisted together.

“You sure you’re okay with me going out with the guys?” He asks, pulling away from my mouth. “Jerome will be here to keep an eye on the place, and Jax isn’t going to drink so he can keep an eye on things at the club.”

Running my fingers across his day old beard, I smile up at him, trying to mask my sadness. I don’t want to be one of those pathetic and clingy girlfriends. I know how badly Dixon wants him to go out with them tonight to the club.

“Go. Have fun. You haven’t gone out since my accident, Kayden. You deserve to have some fun tonight with the boys. Brooklyn and I will have a girls night.”

Snaking his arms around my waist, he hugs me tightly, nuzzling his nose into my hair. I can feel his heart racing against his chest as it beats loudly against my ear. He’s fighting an internal battle with himself right now, trying to decide if he should go and have fun, or sit here by my side and do what he can to feel as if he’s protecting me. I can see everyday the guilt slowly and agonizingly eating away at the soul of the man I love.

We both have a lot of healing to do, and I think this is the first step for us. Kayden and I both have to learning to live our lives again since I came home from the hospital.

We can’t spend every day with only each other, and walking on egg shells constantly. It’s going to be hard, but I know we can get back to what our lives were before Jacob and Zak shattered our carefree way of living.

“Okay, I’ll go. But if for any reason, I don’t care what it is, you want me to come back, just call my cell and I’ll have the pilot fly me back immediately.”

“Okay. Deal.” With that, it’s settled. Lacing our fingers together, we make our way downstairs. We run into Dixon and Jax in the living room, they’re all dressed to the nines too. Brooklyn is floating in the hot tub on the deck sipping on a glass of wine when I step out onto the porch overlooking the ocean.

“So, Knox is going too?” She asks peering over her glass at me. I can see even in the dimly lit porch, she’s fuming.

Walking over, I fold my arms on the edge of the hot tub and rest my chin on my forearms. Letting out a sigh, I smile at her sympathetically, “Yes I insisted he go out with them. He’s been with me or working, that’s it. Other than his fishing trip, he’s not done anything. It’s not healthy for either of us; we need to try and get back to our normal lives. I can’t live everyday in fear of Zak or I’m going to drive myself and Kayden crazy.” Holding my hand up, I stop her from butting in.

“And another thing, you need to pull your head out of your ass! If you want Dixon, tell him. Don’t play games, Brooklyn. You know better then anyone he’s a player. You need to lay it out there for him. Tell him you can’t do this casual…whatever the fuck you guys are doing, because you’re falling for him! You have an amazing guy standing in that living room who wants to be with you. Jax is nothing like that manwhore standing beside him. He’d love you and cherish you every single day of your life. Can you say that about Dixon?”

Chugging her glass of wine, Brooklyn slams her empty glass down on the edge of the hot tub. Pools of tears begin to swell up in her eyes, instantly sending a pang of guilt into my stomach. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt her. It’s just killing me seeing her waste her life away bouncing man to man. She deserves to be loved by a man, the way Kayden loves me.

“Don’t you think I haven’t said all the same shit to myself, Savannah? I’m not stupid.” For the first time in our entire lives, Brooklyn sounds weak and defeated. I immediately get the urge to hug her and apologize for everything I just said to her.

Walking around the hot tub, I gaze back through the glass doors and see the three guys are still in deep conversation about their night out. Wrapping my arm around Brooklyn’s shoulder, I take a deep breath and speak. “I’m sorry, bestie. The last thing I meant to do was upset you. I just don’t want to see you throw away a chance at happiness because you’re so busy chasing after a man who’ll only cause you pain and heartache.”

“Believe me, if I could just walk away from Dixon I would. Hell, I am not blind! I know Jax is amazing, it’s just with Dixon, I feel something I’ve never felt before. As soon as he enters a room, my breath is immediately knocked from my lungs. I feel as if a million angry bees are swarming in the pit of my stomach. I’ve used Xander and Jax as a fun distraction, and with the hopes maybe Dixon would get jealous and maybe decide he wants to be exclusive. But that hasn’t happened, and probably never will.”

“Well I think you need to think long and hard about what you want to do. I think first thing on that list needs to be a long discussion with Mr. Beaumont over there.” I say pointing my thumb behind me at Dixon.

Standing and climbing out of the hot tub, Brooklyn wraps a towel around her waist, and pulls me in for a quick hug. “Thanks for being my best friend, Savannah. It kills me to think there was the slightest chance we couldn’t be here right now having this discussion. I don’t know what I’d do if I ever lost you.”

Now I’m the one fighting back tears. It sucks having to witness so many besides yourself, completely shattered by the tragic events that I lived through several weeks ago. It hasn’t just affected me, but everyone I love and care about.

“I love you B, we’ll be BFF’s even when we’re old and grey. That I promise you! We’ll be toothless and nursing home roommates that’ll spend every day chasing each other around in our wheelchairs. Sixty years from now, we’ll look back at these moments and laugh about all of our wild and crazy days.”

I can’t help but laugh as Brooklyn rolls her teary eyes at me. “Toothless? Really? Remind me to floss daily, will ya?”

We’re both in a fit of laughter when the boys all join us out on the porch. Looking at us with puzzled looks, as if they missed the ending of a good joke. “The pilot’s here with the helicopter, so we’re going to head over to the tarmac.” Kayden says swooping me into his arms and fluttering kisses along my neck, working his way to my mouth.

“God, enough with the PDA, Knox, get your asses outta here. Savannah and I have a wild and crazy night of horror movies and popcorn waiting for us.” With sarcasm dripping from Brooklyn’s voice, I can’t ignore the stink eye she's giving Dixon as she talks to Kayden. I just hope she takes my advice and talks to him, because I hate seeing her like this.
