“Oh god, Skylar,
please. We’ve waited too long. I need you right now. I think I will come as
soon as you’re inside of me.”

He rose above
her, thrusting his hands up under her gown that still hung around her waist and
yanked her panties down and off her, tossing them to the side. She gave a
nervous giggle and stayed where she was as he reached for the package of
condoms, opening one quickly and sheathing his cock.

Imani bit her lip
as Skylar spread her legs then placed himself between her thighs. He spread her
wide and looked down at her bared pussy. His hand gripped the base of his cock
and he stroked so slow it was as if he didn’t have a care in the world. She’d
told him how badly she wanted him, but he seemed content to make her wait.

“You’re gushing
your cream for me, Imani.”

“I’m constantly
wet like this for you, Sky.” She put her hands on her breasts, squeezing them
together and undulating on the bed to the same rhythm of his jerking off.

“You sure you
want this cock?”

“I’m more than
sure.”

“Fuck, I love
your breasts, baby.”

“Skylar, I’m on
fire.” She heard the whimper that slipped from her lips. It was desperate and
needy. In the next moment he was covering her body with his own, and she
wrapped herself around him like a second skin as he plunged in deep. The
keening cry she gave was eclipsed by the heated howl of pleasure that she heard
torn from his lips. Perfection. He didn’t move. His body pinned her to the bed,
and he didn’t thrust.

“Shit, if I don’t
pause for a moment I’m going to make a fool of myself and come like a virgin on
his first date.”

She locked her
legs tight about his back and hugged him close. “This is so good; I can’t begin
to describe it. God ... any bigger and I don’t think you would have fit.” She
sighed as he tucked his face into her neck and kissed the skin there softly.

“Nothing will
ever be the same again after this, Mani.”

“You’re right,
and I don’t want it to be. Now please move, Skylar, before I break into little
pieces of white hot longing.”

Skylar slid back
almost as if he was going to pull out and then plunged into her, impaling her
over and over again on his thick length. Not one to be out done and wanting to
be a full participant she rolled her hips and moved with him, finding her
cadence. His downward beat was followed by her upward beat. The music of their
bodies crashing and melding into one beautiful love song that she’d been
singing in her heart and soul for him for longer than she cared to remember
filled her head.

She cried out as
he put one of his hands in her hair, wrapping his fingers into her long braided
tresses, tugging her head back so that he could kiss her throat and nip at the
tops of her breasts. His other hand was at her waist holding her hip bone.

The flick of his
tongue over a nipple had her arching up against him on the bed and when he
engulfed it in his mouth her pussy clenched on his cock and she heard him
groan.

“Fuck, you’re
going to make me come. I’m so close, Mani.”

“Then come, Sky,
I’m not far behind.”

He surged forward
faster and faster. The head of his cock continued hitting her g-spot, and in
the next moment she felt him jerk and come with a hoarse cry. She felt a
fluttering deep within and then with a warm gush of liquid she was coming just
as hard around his cock. Shaking from the contractions of a hard orgasm she
just held on to him, letting her body ride out each tingling sensation. His
ragged breathing filled her ears, proof that he too was overcome.

They lay
together, both of them damp with perspiration from their lovemaking, though for
how long she didn’t know. She didn’t want to speak for fear that it would break
the spell and all that had happened would be a dream. This was what euphoria must
be like, she thought languidly. Her eyes felt so heavy and she was fighting to
keep them open. She snuggled close, placing her face where his neck and
shoulder met. The last thing she remembered was his kiss to her forehead and
the covers being pulled up over them both.

Chapter Three

Imani stretched,
giving a soft purr of contentment as she reached for her new lover. Smoothing
her hand over the bed all she felt was sheets. Her bed was empty, and she sat
up quickly, peering into the room only lit by the greenish light from the lamp.
He wasn’t in there. Did he leave?

Oh my
God, did he leave? He left her without saying goodbye?

Scrambling she
untangled herself from the covers and got out of the bed. She had to see for
herself that he wasn’t in the house. She pulled the straps of her lingerie back
up over her shoulders and smoothed the silk back down, as she walked hastily
out of the bedroom. The spare bedroom’s door was open, and he wasn’t in there,
so that would only leave the living room, kitchen and dining room.

She stopped short
at the edge of the hallway that looked out into the living room. There was
Skylar sitting in the semi-dark on the couch with his face in his hands.

“Sky?” she said
softly, as she didn’t wish to scare him.

He looked up, his
emerald gaze direct. When he didn’t say anything she rushed head on, needing to
know he was okay.

“Is everything
alright?”

“Yes, babe, I
just came out here because I couldn’t sleep. I dreamed about mom.”

Concerned, she
walked over to him, kneeling in front of him and taking his hands in hers.

“Are you okay,
Sky?”

He squeezed her
hand and cupped her chin, pulling her face up to his; the kiss he gave her on
the lips was sweet and over way too soon.

“I’m fine, more
than fine in fact. It was a nice talk with mom.”

“What did she
tell you?” She couldn’t keep the hope out of her voice.

Imani shivered as
Skylar stroked his thumb across her bottom lip gently. “She told me that there
is a certain young lady who has always been there for me and that I need to
recognize her for who she truly is.”

A wide grin
spread across her face. “Oh and did she tell you that this young lady adores
you?”

“That she did.
She also told me that I need to quit wasting time, that I’m not getting any
younger.”

“Is that all she
said, Sky?”

She reached up to
cup his cheek, loving that he kissed her palm and rubbed his face into her
hand.

“No, she told me
to be honest with you.”

“Me?” She was
having fun playing along.

“Yes, with you.
So I wanted to tell you that I love you. I’ve loved you for as long as I can
remember and that isn’t likely to ever stop. No more living in the past, you’re
my future.” She was about to speak, but he pressed a finger to her lips.

“Shhh, let me
finish, love.”

“Of course, Sky…”

“I want to
promise you that I will love you always. I will do so to the best of my
ability, though I can’t promise not to drive you crazy at times. Because yeah …
it’s a given that we’ll do that to each other. No relationship is perfect. But
I promise to get as close to perfection as I can.” He winked at her, and she
chuckled. “I also wanted to thank you for being my family and for loving me as
you do. I went into the kitchen earlier while you slept and I saw everything
you prepared for me. I also couldn’t wait, and I ate some. Damn, girl, I felt
like mom was here. That took heart to learn. Thank you, Mani.”

As he spoke she
could not stop the tears that formed in her eyes and spilled over. Skylar
cupped her face in his and leaned in to kiss her eyes and then her lips.

“Sky?”

“Yes, baby?” He
picked her up and settled her in his lap, cuddling her close.

“I do love you.”
She held on to him tightly, so relieved at being able to say it finally.

“Thanks and so
sorry for not seeing that you do.”

“No, don’t be.
Everything happens in its time, and we have your mother’s blessing.”

“That we do. So
since we have it, I was wondering,” he paused and gazed into her eyes.

She eyed him,
speculating what it could be that he didn’t just come out and say it.

She found herself
swallowing hard and nodded her head. “Please what is it?”

He shook his head
a full smile on his lips. “Don’t look so worried. I wanted to ask if you would
you marry me?”

She gasped
softly. “Oh my god, yes!

Yes, I’ll marry
you! What kind of question is that?”

She heard him
chuckle. “One that needs to be asked or I’d be a caveman dragging you to the
church by your hair.”

“I don’t think
Father McGillicutty would appreciate that.”

“No, he wouldn’t.
But so your family doesn’t kill me … how about this time next year I make you
Mrs. Imani Magee?”

“There’s nothing
I would love more! Are you sure though that you want to get married on Saint
Patrick’s Day?”

“Very sure,
because that’s the day my eyes have been opened and I found my lucky charm.”

“Maybe I should
have made Boxties a long time ago.”

He grinned. “Why’d
you say that?”

“Cause the
folktale is right if you don’t make them, you won’t get your man.”

Skylar burst out
laughing and she couldn’t stop laughing along with him, his laugh was indeed
infectious. All was right in the world. Skylar was on the mend and with her
help he’d stay that way. He loved her, and she loved him. Nothing else could
compare, and as long as she was alive she’d make sure she gave her man his
Irish comfort.
