Keeping Meg (Devil's Knights #6) (14 page)

I had called Demon after fighting with Meg, letting him know what was going on and to get out on the streets and see what he could find out. I had Edge scrambling to find any and every piece of information on the Assassins, except he had been running into a dead end since day one.

“You’ll get him, handsome. I know you will.” Meg reached over, grabbing my hand and threaded her fingers through mine. Here I was lost in my own thoughts, and she still knew how to make me feel better.

“I hope so, babe. I’m getting sick of all of this bull shit. I just want everything back to the way it was before the Assassins came into our lives.”

She squeezed my hand and scooted over to the middle of the seat and rested her head on my shoulder. “I trust you, Lo. You’ll make everything right.”

I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her into my side. I hoped she was right because I was going to die trying to make everything right.

Meg

“Oh, my sweet Jesus. Rigid is going to have to roll me to our room. Who let me eat that last piece of pie?” Cyn was sprawled out on the couch, clutching her growing stomach and groaning.

“I tried to tell you that was enough, but you threatened to cut my pinkie off if I didn’t step away from the pie,” I called from behind the bar.

We had just gotten done cleaning up all the dishes from Christmas dinner, and everyone was scattered around the common room of the clubhouse either playing pool, watching TV, or starting a game of poker. After a long, drawn out fight with Ethel about where we should have Christmas, she finally relented and agreed that the clubhouse was the best place. She had taken over the kitchen the whole day before, having cooked and baked her ass off.

Everyone was here beside Gwen and Gambler, who had left a couple of hours ago to spend the rest of the day with Paige and her Grandmother. Remy had also been here earlier, but he had to leave to go spend time with his dad.

“Babe, grab me a beer, would you?” Lo called, grabbing a cue stick.

“Me, too,” Troy added.

I grabbed two beers out of the fridge, popped the tops and headed over to Lo. “So I’m the beer wench today?”

“Not just today, every day,” Troy laughed, grabbing his beer.

I growled at Troy, glaring and Lo grabbed his beer and threw his arm over my shoulders. “Not my wench for very long,” he whispered in my ear. “Soon to be my wife.”

“Can we please play pool without you manhandling my best friend the whole time?” Troy complained as Lo nuzzled my neck.

“Five more days before you can call me your wife, handsome.”

“Counting down the days, babe?” Lo asked, wrapping his arms around me, ignoring Troy.

“Who me?” I asked coyly.

“Hmm, you feel like playing tonight, don’t you?” He nipped at my ear, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, tilting my head to the left.

“Pool or something else?”

“Hmm,” he growled. “You know what I want, babe.”

“Finish your game before Troy has a coronary. I’ll let you unwrap your last present before bed tonight.” I pulled out of his arms, throwing a wink over my shoulder and sauntered over to the couch where Cyn was laid out.

“Twenty minutes and you’re mine, Meg,” he called.

“I’ll be right here,” I replied, sitting down next to Cyn.

“You’re teasing that poor man again, aren't you?”

“Eh, he can handle it. He needs to see what kind of crazy he’s marrying.” I grabbed the pillow that was in between us and set it on my lap.

“I think King is very much aware of the crazy that encompasses you.”

“So, what’s left to do in the five days before the wedding?” Ethel sat down on the couch across from us with Gravel following right behind her.

“Well, I’m going to start baking the cake in two days. Tomorrow I have to go shopping for all the taco stuff, get the meat marinating, fry up a shit ton of cinnamon nachos, and buy probably five gallons of ice cream.”

“Hmm, ice cream. You should probably buy six gallons, I’m likely to eat one gallon all by myself.” Cyn laid down completely, stretching her legs out and propped her feet on the pillow that was on my lap. “Make it seven.”

“I can help with the cooking if you want, sweetie. I don’t go to the doctor till after the wedding. I’m done with this round of chemo. Now we wait to see if it worked.”

“It worked,” Gravel rumbled. “And if it didn’t, we’ll try until the fucking cancer goes away.”

Ethel waved her hand at his, shushing him. “I need something to do to occupy me. Hell, I’ll blow up balloons as long as I don’t have to sit in my house and worry.”

“I can totally use help, Ethel. Lo was mad that I had decided to make everything myself so this will make things easier if you help.”

“Great. I’ll come shopping with you tomorrow. We’ll take my car because it’s supposed to snow.”

“I have a car, too, Ethel,” I laughed. “I just hate driving it.”

“I’ll pick you up at eight tomorrow. Lo mentioned that you took off work for the wedding.”

“Yeah, I was going to try to keep working, but it’s just easier to use a vacation. I have over a month's worth of time saved up, so I also took a couple days off after the wedding, too.”

“Ten minutes, Meg,” Lo called. I glanced over my shoulder at him, watching him shoot a ball into the pocket. He leaned against the table and crossed his arms over his chest.

The damn man looked good no matter what he was doing. “Whatever you say, handsome.”

“What’s Lo yelling about?” Ethel asked.

“Oh, he wants to open his last Christmas present, but I told him he had to wait until after dinner.” I turned back around, a small smile on my lips.

“He’s eager to open it,” Cyn laughed.

“We have wedding plans we need to discuss. Tell him he can open his present out here while we plan.” Ethel shook her head.

Cyn busted out laughing, “I don’t think this is the type of present Lo wants to open in front of everybody.”

“Oh, Lord, Lo,” Ethel called, “Keep it in your pants. I’m talking to your girl.”

“Eight minutes, Ma, then she’s mine.”

My face turned bright red, and I couldn’t believe this man could still make me blush. Although I’m sure, anyone would blush if the person they were sleeping with announced to their mother they were going to get it on. “I’ll be ready at eight, Ethel. I’ll make sure to bring all the lists I’ve been making.” Blue ambled in from the body shop and collapsed at my feet, resting his head on my shoes. “Hey, big man,” I mumbled, reaching down and scratching him behind his ears.

“Sounds good, hun. Did you want to come with us, Cyn?” Ethel asked.

“If you were going at say, noon, I’d totally come, Ethel. Eight o’clock does not exist to me at this point in my pregnancy. Sleep is king.”

Rigid walked through the front door, his eyes immediately searching Cyn out. “You ready for bed, beautiful?” Rigid asked, walking over and kneeled in front of her. He brushed the hair out of her face and my heart melted a bit at the gentle way Rigid had with Cyn.

“I could lay down.”

“You already are,” I laughed.

Cyn rolled her eyes and threw the pillow she had behind her head at me. “Wyatt has been kicking the hell out of me today. Bed sounds good.” Now she was calling the baby Wyatt? I would definitely have to try to talk her out of that one.

“I already told you, beautiful, we are not naming our kid Wyatt.” Rigid grabbed both of her hands and help her off the couch.

“Well, we for sure aren’t calling him Axel,” she huffed.

Axel? What the hell were these two thinking? Have they heard of normal names? Although I wasn’t really one to talk, I named my son Remington. “You two have plenty of time to figure out what to name the baby. I wouldn’t stress over it,” Ethel said standing up.

“We going, woman?” Gravel asked.

“Yeah. If I need to be at Meg’s by eight, we should head home and get to bed.”

I glanced at my watch seeing it was only a little after seven. Ethel and Gravel going to bed before eight o’clock? Seemed to me that maybe Ethel also had another present Gravel needed to unwrap. “Whatever you say, woman,” Gravel mumbled walking out the front door.

“Oh, that man is just rainbows and sunshine,” she sighed hitching her purse up on her shoulder. “I’ll see you in the morning, hun. Bye you two,” Ethel called. “Bye, ya’ll!” She waved to Lo and Troy and followed Gravel out the door.

Cyn and Rigid headed down the hall to their room, both listing off names that they wanted for the baby. It was going to be a miracle if those two actually came up with a name they both agreed on in the next five months before the baby came.

“I’m ready for my present,” Lo growled in my ear as he wrapped his arms around me from behind and nuzzled my neck.

“Did you finish your game?”

“Troy wandered off to find Marley. It didn’t take much to find her. She’s in the kitchen, trying to make some casserole for breakfast tomorrow.”

My stomach instantly rolled at the idea of Marley making a casserole, and I thanked God that Ethel was picking me up at eight so I would have an excuse not to eat it. “Hmm, looks like you’ll have to suffer through that on your own. Your mom is going shopping with me tomorrow for all the food for the wedding.”

“I’ll just sleep till noon and pray that Marley is out of the damn kitchen.”

“She just needs to practice, Lo,” I laughed, reaching up and running my fingers over his rough cheek. “You didn’t shave today.”

“She does need to practice, just not on me. That’s why she has a man. He can choke her food down; I don’t need to.” He pressed a kiss to my hand and spun me around, his arms going around my waist. “You like when I don’t shave, babe.”

“Hmm, I have become partial to your beard.”

He leaned down, his lips hovering above my mouth. “I want my present. Now.”

“Come and get it.” I pressed a kiss to his lips, pushed out of his arms and sprinted down the hall to our room.

I glanced over my shoulder right before I turned the corner and saw Lo slowing stalking down the hallway. A thrill ran through me at the blatant desire that was all over his face. I made it to our room and threw the door open. I slipped in, shutting the door behind me and sprawled out on the bed and waited for Lo.

His present wasn’t going to unwrap itself.

Lo

I stalked down the hallway, my eyes on Meg right before she turned the corner and disappeared. Meg had been teasing me all day, and she was driving me crazy with every small touch and lingering glances.

These five days couldn’t go fast enough before I make her mine forever and lock her in our room for three days. We couldn’t have a honeymoon right now, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t fuck her six ways to Sunday after she said I do.

As soon as I turned the corner, I saw our door close, and I slowed my stride knowing she was either undressing or sprawling out on our bed. I hoped it was both of them.

I opened the door slowly, and the light from the hallway lit up the room and my eyes fell on Meg, who was laid out on the bed, laying on her side. “It’s about time you got here, handsome.”

“I was hoping you would be undressed by the time I made it here.” I closed the door behind me, leaning against the door and crossed my arms over my chest.

“Hmm, I told you that your present still needs to be unwrapped.” She slid off the bed, slipping her shoes off as she walked over to me. She stood in front of me, her hands on my chest and stood on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to my lips. “Your last present is under my clothes,” she whispered against my mouth.

My hands went to her hips, pulling her to me. “I fucking love you,” I growled, slamming my lips down on hers. She moaned, wrapping her arms around my neck and my hands slid around to her soft, plush ass. I lifted her up, and she wrapped her legs around my waist and deepened the kiss. I could get lost in Meg’s kisses. She gave so much in each one that all I wanted to do was drown in her.

I turned around, pinning her to the door and my hands went to the hem of her shirt. I slowly pulled it up, my hands exploring her body as my tongue invaded her mouth. She lifted her arms over her head, and I pulled her shirt off, tossing it on the floor. Her tits were encased in a bra I had never seen before. It was dark purple with black lace around the edges that pushed her tits up, offering them to me. “Holy fuck.”

“I thought you might like it. Wait till you see the panties.”

My hands immediately went to the button of her jeans, tugging them open. She dropped her legs to the floor, her arms on my shoulders and I pulled the zipper down. I pulled her jeans down, kneeling down in front of her. I was face to face with her sweet pussy that was wrapped up in a tiny dark purple thong that matched her bra. I leaned forward, pressing a kiss to her stomach just above her panties. “Fucking perfect and mine.” My hands snaked around, grabbing her bare ass, and I buried my face in her pussy, inhaling her scent.

“Lo,” she gasped as I tugged on the tiny triangle of fabric that was covering her pussy. I pulled it down with my teeth, exposing her bare, sweet cunt.

She put her hands on my head, steadying herself, but also letting me know she didn’t want me to move. She spread her legs, and I tugged her panties all the way off, leaving them in a puddle on the floor. I looked up at her, and her eyes were hooded with desire and her hair was hanging around her like a curtain. “I need you,” she whispered, biting her lip.

Those were the only three words I needed to hear for the rest of my life. With her, I had everything I would ever need. “Keep those legs spread, babe,” I ordered. I didn’t give her time to respond. I buried my tongue inside her, flicking her clit and feeling her body tremble under my hands. Her fingers delved into my hair, gripping and pulling with each touch and taste of her.

I pumped my finger in and out of her, bringing her closer and closer to the edge. I wanted her to cum on my dick, but I had to taste and tease her. My touch was torture to her, but so was the taste of her on my tongue.
