His wet hand slides along my hairline as he intently looks at me. “No. Haven’t been with anyone in months, not since before the accident. Never banged anyone without cover.”

Huh
?
We just had the most amazing sex, and he calls me a bang? “Banged? Am I just a bang?”

“Hell no,” he quickly kisses. “Don’t even come close to a bang. Not now, not ever.”

He just saved his balls with that quick comeback, so I’ll give him a break, and show him how much his comeback means to me. More kissing.

LAST NIGHT. HOLY SHIT.
JUST
…holy, damn, fuck, shit.
Epic moment in the history of Slim and Lyric. Nothing can ever compare to our first night as an official couple. We both wanted to take this newfound relationship slow, yet our bodies and minds took over, giving us what we both needed. It brought on a whole new level, something I’ll never regret. Even though we have known one another for two years, we discovered something new. We got to know each other’s heart and soul. We connected in more ways than one, and I pray our connection never dies. Something amazing has started, and I’ll do anything to keep Lyric around - I can’t ever see myself without her. She’s become my flame, and I her moth. What more of a connection could two people have?

Slim and Lyric kind of speed is pretty fucking awesome, I’d hate to see it go away when Lyric heads up to LA for a few days. Something is up with one of her brothers’, and she is being summoned. Not that I am too thrilled with her leaving, but it might actually be a smart thing, considering the band has an early start tomorrow. Wayne is flying in late tonight, and whether or not he’s jetlagged we need to get back inside the studio. Time to start working on our new album.

Waking up this morning, I had an immediate hard on, thanks to a certain gorgeous blonde with an amazing body - which happened to be butt naked under the sheets. As much as I wanted to slide myself right back inside her deep heat, I decided to save it for another day, because once I’m inside her she may never leave my bed. Considering we both have a lot to do this week, taking each other hostage in bed may not make everyone else too happy. To calm my cock down, I went for long lap in our pool. The water was fucking cold, but it definitely got the job done. Shooter became as shriveled as a puny raisin.

My sexy sunshine is a late snoozer. She was still sleeping after my pool workout, tangled up in my sheets, blonde locks splaying every which way, I could have looked at her all day, but time was a wasting. So, I took a shower, then woke her up by bringing her breakfast in bed. Kissing her tantalizing lips, like the sleeping beauty she was, finally got her to rise and shine. I’ve always been a morning person, so having the pleasure of waking Lyric up makes me love mornings even more.

Before Lyric leaves my sight for a few days, and walks out the front door, I tug her into my arms, lightly kissing her on the forehead. Since we’ve been sleeping next to each other all this week, she hasn’t had any anxiety or nightmares. I’m worried once we’re apart they’ll return. “You gonna be okay, tonight?”

“I won’t enjoy an evening without you, but I think I’ll survive,” she smirks.

I know she’s trying to cover up her worries, to help
me
not worry, yet I know her too well to let it slide. Lifting her chin up with my fingers, I say, “Any problems, call me, yeah?”

Her eyes light up, with a bite to her bottom lip. “I’ll be calling you no matter what, Hot Stuff.” A low, quiet growl escapes me, and once again my growing hard-on twitches against her belly. In result, I slam our mouths together. Tasting her minty tongue, swirling along with mine, I’m about ready to flip her over my shoulder, and bring her back to bed to give her a goodbye fuck.
Can’t do it, dammit.
I want to go back to last night, and relive it over and over again. “Really did love last night,” I whisper against her lips.

She whispers back, “Me too.”

My grasp tightens around her ass, wanting to slide my fingers inside the hem of her pants, but I hold off.
Slow down, Shooter. Slow the fuck down.
“Could have taken you again, this morning. Could take you again, right now.”

She kisses me, then asks, “Why didn’t you?”

Slightly breaking our contact, I touch my forehead against hers, and switch my hands from her ass up to her shoulders. “Slim and Lyric speed,” I answer. She totally gets it. We’re not on anyone’s time clock, but ours, and it’s perfect. We walk hand in hand to her car. Once she’s belted in, I give her one more kiss. “Drive safe. Text me as soon as you get there.”

“Will do.” After I close her car door for her, she rolls down her window and says, “Have a good dinner with Wayne’s parents, and say hi to your dad for me.”

“I will. Bye, Sunshine.” I wait for her car to disappear around the corner before I head back inside. It’s going to be torture not having her with me in my bed, but the speed we’re at is a good thing. A few days apart will be good for us, because at the end of that long tunnel will be a reunion worth waiting for.

There wasn’t a whole lot to do once Lyric left. I cleaned up the house a bit, fooled around on my phone getting the goods on celebrity shit, watched a movie, and continued writing the new song I thought of the other morning. Not really sure where the song is taking me, but once it’s complete I’ll show it to the guys. Since it’s my first time doing this all on my own, I want to be sure it’s perfect. It’s for Lyric. She’s perfect, and the song should be perfect too. She texted me a couple hours later, and said the situation with her brother Brock is not a good one. She’d explain the whole thing to me later. This brother of hers seems like a real douche. I’ve seen his film
Jetlagged
, and thought it was a pretty cool action flick. It’s just too bad he’s taking his celebrity status as a means to think he can do or say anything he wants, and get away with it. He’s got a lot to learn.

I was starving by the time I got to Wayne’s parents’ house. Since it’s a Sunday evening, my dad will be there, as well as Wayne’s sister, Amber, and her little girl, Raquel. Not sure if Amber’s husband, Robbie, will be at dinner. He usually can’t make it, since from what I’ve heard, he’s trying to become partner at his law firm, and works grueling hours. Can’t say I’d want to be married to someone who’s life consists of long hours in a crampy office, and never have time for family. Although my life is now taking me away from
my
family, I shouldn’t be such a hypocrite.

We were almost through with dinner, having great conversations, catching up on the week, when Raquel brings up the one little secret I have tried to keep hidden all evening. “Do you have a girlfwiend, Uncle Slim? Mommy says you do.” She’s a sassy little thing. All eyes fall on me. Talk about awkward.

“Raquel, hush,” Amber scolds.

Raquel, being the little smarty pants she is, ignores her mother. “Well, do ya?” Her big blue eyes always seem to have a curiousness in them. It’s hard not being hypnotized into answering her question.

Before I get the chance to answer, Amber scolds her again, “You are being very rude, now finish your dinner.”

“Yes, Mommy,” she sighs.

“Sorry,” Amber says. “I kind of opened my big mouth about that Twitter picture of you and Lyric.”

“Uncle Wayne’s mouth is bigger, he told me they give goo goo eyes to each other,” Raquel giggles. Not only is she sassy, she cracks me the hell up.

Playing along with the cute six year old, I say, “Uncle Wayne’s mouth is bigger than the Pacific Ocean.” Raquel gets a kick out of my comeback, and continues to giggle.

After taking my last bite of mashed potatoes, Sheri - Mrs. P. - asks, “Speaking of Lyric, where is she tonight?”

“She’s in LA. Family stuff.”

“We’ve met Lyric before, haven’t we?” Michael - Mr. P. - asks.

Sitting back, and crossing my arms, I nod. “Yeah, she came to Wayne’s birthday party.”

“Oh, that’s right. She’s your manager,” he points out.

“Yes.”

And
a fine lady who’ll be good for me boy,” my dad chimes in.

Crap.
Here we go. “Dad -”

“Not bad. Not bad at all,” Mr. P. says, with a grin. “Have to agree with Slimmy. She’s a good one for ya, Slim. A very
very
pretty gal.”

“Yes,” placing his hand on my shoulder, my dad adds, “I was just telling me son that a few days ago. Beautiful Lyric. She is the perfect woman for him.”

“I’m right here, Dad.”

“You betcha you’re right here, so pay attention.”

“Pay attention to what?” I argue.

Dad flicks his thumb in my direction. “He’s a stubborn one.”

“Dad -” He won’t let me get a word in, he keeps talking as if I’m not even in the room.

“Needs a good woman in his life,” he remarks. He guzzles down the rest of his second beer, then continues, “Lyric is the one. She’s smart, witty, and beautiful. They’re a perfect match.”

I’m just keeping my trap shut. It’s no use explaining to him, while he’s been excessively drinking, that Lyric and I are together.

“She’s really pretty, Slim,” Amber voices.

Then Raquel’s exclaims, “She looks like a model!”

For the first time ever, I’m completely clueless on what to say. Usually, I’m the one cracking the jokes, along with Wayne, at the table. Not so much tonight.

“Okay, everyone, give Slim a break,” Mrs. P. cuts in. “Are we ready for dessert?”

Thank God for Mrs. P.. She sensed how weird this whole conversation was getting to me. I’m not used to the attention when it comes to girlfriends. I never thought I’d want to settle down with anyone. Not until Lyric.
Settle down
?
Did I just think that
?
Shit.
I’m more whipped than I thought. “Sounds good to me. Need help?” I offer.

“That would be nice, thank you.”

While helping Mrs. P. clear the plates, and preparing for dessert in the kitchen, she asks me, “You seemed a bit tense in there. Everything okay?”

I lean up against the kitchen island, crossing my arms, and ankles. “Yeah, it’s just my dad.”

Mrs. P. smiles, and touches my arm. “He only wants to see you happy.”

“I
am
happy,” I chuckle.

“I can see that, but does he know you’re in love with Lyric?”
Whoa
!
In love
? Mrs. P. has always been more of a mother to me than my own mother. She treats me as if I’m her own flesh and blood. She gets me, and has always given me the motherly advice I’ve needed my entire life. However, I cannot even bring up the words, “In love.” Yet somehow, she can see right through me. “Slim, I’ve known you for a very long time, you’re like another son to me. I know these things. But I understand if you don’t want to talk about it.”

Not denying or acknowledging the word, “love,” I simply say, “Nothing to hide. Not anymore.”

She squeezes her hand around my arm, and smiles. “I am very happy for you.”

“Thanks,” I smile back, but a bit nervous about having mine and Lyric’s relationship out in the open now. “But this is a new thing for me and Lyric. So, we’re taking things slow.”

“Very wise choice. There’s no rush.”

“Thanks. I just don’t want anything, or anyone messing up a good thing.”

“If this is as serious as you say it is, then you’ll do everything you can to make it work.” I agree with Mrs. P., and feel relieved she supports me.

Finally, once we finished talking about me and Lyric, we gathered the dessert plates, peach pie, and settled back in the dining room. After dessert, we took ourselves outside in the backyard, and had a few more drinks. Since my dad was overdoing it on the beer, I decided to cut my alcohol intake early. I was going to have to drive him home, he was in no condition to do it himself. Something was not right with him tonight. He was drinking a bit more heavily than normal, and became more withdrawn as the night wore on. Once Amber and Raquel left, I took it upon myself to end the night as well. My dad needed to get home. Mr. and Mrs. P. offered to let him to stay the night, but I thought it best to just take him home. Not sure how he would handle waking up in their house the next morning.

Mr. P. helps me lift my dad from the chair. He’s almost ready to pass out. Something is definitely wrong, he doesn’t normally get smashed like this. “Taking you home, Dad. You’re not fit to drive.”
