What he didn’t realize was that no man had ever
taken this kind of time wooing her. Last night he had spent hours
seeing to her pleasure, delaying his own gratification in many
cases. In her circle of friends, unselfish lovers were rare
commodities. She had no plans on giving him up as a lover, his cock
was her crack and she was addicted.

Let’s shower.” The suggestive
tone in his voice alerted her that the shower would be off the
chain. Normally, she hated sharing baths with anyone. It had been a
bone of contention with her ex. Then again, no man had ever brought
her to orgasm with just his fingers and tongue. Khayden had
rewritten so many of her taboos in such a short amount of time, she
had trouble processing the changes.

She raced him into the bathroom,
totally liberated and horny. Slowly he stalked her. He crowded into
the shower, turned on the water, and took the bulk of the water
against his broad back until he was pleased with the temperature.
Leaning forward, he pulled her against him and took his time
exploring her mouth. She released a tiny sigh of contentment and
snuggled closer, loving the feel of his strong chest against her
painfully hard nipples.

I love the way you taste. Feed
me.” He had started this last night, requiring her to place her
breast into his mouth. The throbbing between her legs increased.
His eyes darkened as she offered herself to him.

Once his mouth latched on, her legs buckled beneath
the firestorm of sensations. Sensations ricocheted between her
nipples and woman’s core. He picked her up, wrapped her legs around
his waist and sheathed her in one stroke. Unbelievably full, she
hung on tight as his hips flexed and relaxed in slow motion. Her
body recognized his and, like any addict, hungered for more. She
bit his shoulder and licked the spot. He had frozen the moment she
bit him. Unsure what to do, she thought to apologize when he held
her in place against the wall and pounded into her weeping
core.

Spirals of bliss swamped her. She moaned. “So close.
Ohmigod…”Lifting her right leg changed the angle and a few more
thrusts were all it took. A keening sound filled the shower as her
body shook through her release. Khayden wasn’t far behind. His loud
bass finished their concerto. Winded, but satisfied, she rested
against his chest. It beat fast and steady, a sure sign they had
enjoyed themselves.

Slowly, he released one leg and then the other. She
stood on tiptoes, squeezing his softening cock. He groaned as he
slipped out, his cum running down her legs into the drain.

She reached around him, took the sponge and liquid
soap. “Turn around,” she whispered, her voice scratchy. He
complied, giving her his back. Swallowing back a sigh at the
perfection of his wide shoulder muscles and rounded cheeks, she
stroked him gently with the sponge. He sighed beneath her
ministrations, widening his stance as she bent to wash his calves
and feet.

Clearing her throat, she prayed she could complete
her task. “Turn.” When he did, his rod stood hard and pulsing close
to his lower belly. Swallowing hard, she stood, re-soaped the
sponge, and started at his neck. Refusing to look in his eyes, she
tweaked his nipples and spent a moment or two longer on his pecs.
Journeying to his trim waist and rippling six-pack took less time
than she wanted. All too soon she was at the apex of his thighs.
His long thickness wept in greeting as she took him in hand.

He groaned. Her eyes flew up to his only to discover
his were closed and there was a grimace across his face.

Smiling, she bent and washed the front of his legs,
all the while holding onto his erection as a lever to steady her.
When she finished, she placed the sponge beneath the water and
wrung it out until all the soap was removed. Then she filled the
sponge with clean water and wrung it out over his chest, rinsing
him. Ignoring his whimpering, she continued until she removed all
the soap.

A glance at his cock’s purple
mushroomed head made her hungry for the milky fluid dropping to the
shower floor. Bending forward, she took him into her mouth, and
laved at his slit. He jerked at the contact and then touched her
head. She took in more of his hardness and ran her tongue beneath
the sensitive area below the crown. A deep-throated groan was her
reward. Relaxing her throat, she sucked and released, bobbing up
and down until he tapped the back of her throat. By now, his loud
moans rivaled her earlier ones. Committed to making him lose
control the way she did with him, she got to work sucking him off.
He bucked into her a few times and then shot off a sweet load.
Surprised he had come so soon, she swallowed without tasting,
something she would rectify the next time.

He pulled her up and attacked her mouth, kissing her
with a fevered zeal that caught her off guard. Pleased she had done
this to him, she allowed him to have his way.

You are…” He breathed against her
lips. “You are incredible,” he whispered, taking the sponge from
the ledge.

She snatched it from him. “No.
I’ll do this. It won’t take me long.” She soaped the sponge and
bathed. He leaned, appearing exhausted, against the tile. His
half-closed eyes watched her every move.

Next time, I bathe
you.”

The promise of sensual retaliation
threaded through his voice, sending a shiver of delight through
her. Excited that he planned to spend more time with her, she
nodded as she rinsed off. Her ex-husband had called her prudish.
She smiled at the thought of Ricardo being the fly on the wall last
night or this morning.
Prudish my
ass
. She followed Khayden out of the
shower.

The knock startled her. “There is someone here.”
Lorenzo’s cryptic remark had Khayden pulling on his jeans. She
pulled a house dress over her head.

He looked puzzled. “Where are you going?”

Shrugging the dress in place, she
glanced at him. “This is my house. If someone’s here, I need to
know who.” There hadn’t been time to wash her hair, so she pulled
the curly mass tight and stuffed it beneath a knit cap. Her scowl
dared him to remark on her odd appearance. Khayden backed away,
hands in the air with a grin. “I will follow you.”

Adding a bit of bounce to her step, she strode ahead
of him. Glancing at Lorenzo, she frowned at his stance as she
headed to the door. “Did someone knock? I didn’t hear the
doorbell.” Khayden moved quickly and blocked her from the door.

Lorenzo moved and glanced out the window, his
movements quick and silent. “No one knocked. I sensed another
presence outside.”

She looked at him and then swung
around to Khayden, who was backing her up toward the kitchen. His
head lifted as though he were tasting the air. She’d seen him do
this last night at the restaurant before that awful smell. As the
memory rushed over her, she stepped back and concentrated hard.
Khayden moved toward the front door.

Her hand stretched toward him. “Stop,” she yelled.
He froze and stared at her, a question in his eyes. “Someone nearby
has a similar foulness to the men last night.”

Khayden turned and moved back to her. “You smell
them?”

She nodded. “When I focus, I can.”

His demeanor changed, he appeared cautious and
excited. “Where are they now? Can you pinpoint the smell?”

Closing her eyes, she released her senses and
cringed as she brushed against the greasy smell. “One is in the
back yard.” Biting her lower lip, she searched for the others.
“One’s on the roof, and the other is at the front…” A loud crash
from the front of the house blocked her last word.

Khayden spun toward the sound while moving his
fingers in quick succession in her direction. Within seconds, the
sounds softened as though someone had taken off the edge. Stepping
forward, she gasped at the sight of her lover using a blue small
ball against one man while punching another. His movements were
precise and economical. Not to mention fast. Covering her mouth,
she turned to see Lorenzo pummeling another man near the rear
window.

Amazed, she watched a man crawl
down the chimney like an insect. Her stomach dropped as she
realized the danger and she wondered how to alert Khayden of the
man’s presence. His yellow-green eyes glowed when they lit on her.
Instinctively, she moved backward. A scream locked in her mouth as
he leapt forward, releasing something akin to a knife. Heart in her
throat, she closed her eyes, frozen with fear. The clang of the
weapon to the ceramic tile drew her attention. Peeking down, she
saw a long wicked blade with weird loops and holes on the floor.
Shocked and confused, she glanced at the man and winced as
Khayden’s fist connected with his face repeatedly before releasing
the blue fire. The man disappeared like all the others.

He tried to kill me,” she
whispered in disbelief, looking at the neglected weapon on the
floor. Reality surged as she reached out for the blade. Her hand
came in contact with some type of clear film. Intrigued, she
discovered she was encased in some type of clear bubble. She could
see and hear the action from the other rooms, but couldn’t leave
the kitchen.

Okay, time to wake up, girl.
Lizard men who try to kill you means something weird is going on.
Khayden, the man you slept with, is destroying men with blue fire
that he holds in his hand. He placed you in some type of bubble.
What does that mean?
Her mind rejected her
conclusion.

She cringed as two men jumped on Khayden’s back from
behind. He shook them off as a dog does water. Grabbing both men,
he slammed their heads together. The loud crunch of broken bones
filled the room as their heads lolled at an unnatural angle. Within
seconds, the blue flame ate them up as well.

Numb, she tried to reconcile what
she saw with what she knew to be real and could not. “Maybe he
works for the military or something and is testing a new weapon of
sorts.” Then Khayden kicked another lizard man in the chest, the
sound of breaking bones deafening in her small space. “Or maybe
not,” she whispered, thinking of the type of strength and stamina
required to fight off all the men he had so far. She searched for
Lorenzo with no luck.

A foul odor, reminiscent of the
one from the restaurant, permeated the bubble. Shocked and afraid,
she turned to Khayden just as he destroyed what appeared to be the
last intruder. The odor stung her eyes and her vision blurred.
Tendrils of the horrid smell wrapped around her throat, choking
her. It forced her to take small sips of air. Tears ran down her
cheeks as realization dawned, her safe haven had become her prison.
She would die without accessing the clean air outside.

One thought reverberated in her mind as the darkness
edged closer. “Khayden!” Unsure if he could hear her agonized
whisper, she tried to call out again. Her legs buckled and she fell
to her knees.

The stench tightened around her throat as snug as a
rope. Gasping to breathe, she saw the blade on the floor and
reached for it. Her hands fumbled against the unyielding
bubble.

Desperate, she pushed against her prison without
success.

Her face hit the cold tile. A scream of rage split
the air as she succumbed to the darkness.

Chapter 13

Alayna’s lids were heavy as lead. The effort to open
one left her breathless and panting.

Easy, love. No need to rush
things, your body needs a little time to heal from the
poison.”

The female voice sounded familiar,
yet she couldn’t place it. The word
poison
passed through her conscious
unchallenged, although she knew she should have some reaction.
Thinking sent shards of pain through her, but she resisted
returning to the dark.

Thirsty,” she whispered through
the pulsing pain in her throat. Soft, firm hands lifted her head.
Seconds later, a lukewarm beverage filled her mouth and slid down
her bruised throat. Her stomach reacted with outrage at the
invasion to its space and for a moment she feared it would be
ejected. By some miracle, the drink made peace with her belly and
settled.

A soft voice with a melodic quality spoke above her
head. “We have been worried. I am glad to see you have recovered.”
Once again the impression of familiarity brushed against her, but
it was so fleeting she couldn’t catch the name or place a face with
the voice.

Master Khayden is pleased you
have awakened and is on his way.”

Despite the heavy fatigue, her
eyes flew open at the mention of
his
name. She looked into light gray
eyes and stuttered as recognition slammed into her. “Ooo…Olga?” Yet
it was not the Olga she remembered. This woman appeared younger,
with a blazing vitality the one in her memories lacked. Alayna
couldn’t put her finger on one particular thing, but there were
small differences.

Without thinking, she blurted, “What happened to
you?” She took in Olga’s smile and serene demeanor.

Nothing really, I am just feeling
much better, thank you.” The older woman, who no longer looked old,
pulled the sheet up around Alayna’s chest and then laid her cool
palm against her patient’s forehead. “Good, the fever has passed.”
For a moment the two women gazed at each other.

What happened? You mentioned
poison. How long have I been sick?” A barrage of questions flew to
the forefront of her mind, becoming jumbled in their haste to break
free.

Olga petted her arm as she tsked. “The Geleets
released a poison in the air, which caused you to lose
consciousness. You have been here for three days, waking and
sleeping. This is the longest you have remained alert, which is a
good sign.”
