“S’okay. You don’t have to move.” Parker grunted, running his hand down her side.

That’s easy for you to say. You’re not on the bottom
, Jared sent. He heaved at them, and Parker spilled to the side, slipping out of Tessa’s body. Jared carefully unhooked the nipple clamps, rubbing his hands soothingly over her abraded nipples before gently shifting her off him. Tessa sank into the mattress, tucking her head into Jared’s neck while Parker wrapped himself around her, his hand landing on Jared’s stomach.

“We’re going to kill each other like this,” Tessa said a half hour later. She was glued to Jared, and Parker was glued to her. She didn’t care.

“I don’t care,” Parker said, a thread of humor in his voice.

“I care,” Jared said. Tessa lifted up her head to stare at him, disbelievingly. “What? If we kill each other, we won’t get to have sex anymore.”

Parker laughed, and Tessa dropped back down, giggling. Giddy. Three months and everything was still working. They were still in love. Still bonded. She’d sold her house and moved in with Jared. Parker closed on his house today and would be moving in, too. It was a crisp autumn day that made her think anything was possible. The trees were brilliant orange, red, yellow, and incredibly hopeful against the infinity of the blue sky. She knew they’d be going for a run later, shifted into their cat bodies, paws and claws digging into the earth in a joyous sprint that would leave them exhausted. Exhilarated. There was no sign of the couple who’d tried to kill them.

“We’ll find them, eventually,” Parker murmured, running his hand down her arm to clasp her hand.

Tessa shrugged. “I don’t know if I want to find them.”

“Me neither,” Jared said, sighing. “Although we’re probably the only ones who can stop them. Us and Duncan, Jake, and Emma.”

“I know.” Tessa stretched, trying not to wince as their skin peeled away from each other. “I know. But we don’t have to do it today.” She settled back down.

No, we don’t have to do it today.
Jared’s soft pulse of love and agreement followed Parker’s thought down the bonding link. Tessa closed her eyes and let herself sink into her bond-mates, reveling in the heat of their bodies. When she finally fell asleep, she dreamed about dancing, carefully moving through the steps of the tango Jared had taught them. Later, after their run in the forest, when they’d finally settled in their bed for the night, she dreamed again, this time of making love to Jared and Parker on the train, in the sweet, anonymous darkness.
