"Oh god YES!" Tara cried as Layla simultaneously lowered her pussy onto Tara's waiting mouth, and her own mouth to Tara's waiting pussy.  Both women fell utterly silent outside of their gasping breaths and relentless licking.  Tara came first, finding Layla amazingly effective at licking her clit.  Then, the act of enthusiastically tasting the gorgeous woman's juices triggered Layla's shuddering, screaming orgasm, and they both spiraled down from a brink they'd never known before, together.

Three Months Later

W
hat began as an extremely dangerous, very rare, secret affair soon became comfortable.  Seth became increasingly involved in drugs which made Layla feel her chances of a safe, clean break were diminished.  But, his constant running around and spending less and less time with Layla made it easier for the two women to be together.  So, what once had been extremely nervous making became second nature.  They became less and less afraid of being caught, until eventually they were completely confident that their secret was safe from a strung out loser who was never around.

There came a one week break in Victim Unknown's touring schedule where they would all be allowed some free time back in L.A.  Layla and Tara were thrilled to finally be able to spend some quiet time alone on their home turf, doing the things they wanted to; as lovers.  Once Layla and Seth arrived at their house, he quickly dumped his luggage inside the front door, showered, changed into clubbing attire, and told her not to wait up.

It kind of made her laugh how much this once would have upset her.  But she didn't give a second thought to where he might be going and instead phoned Tara.

"Hey," Layla purred.  "Come spend the night with me."

There was an awkward pause.  "Um, are you sure that's a good idea, Lay?"

Layla laughed.  "Well sure, why wouldn't it be?  He's already gone.  He won't be home."

"Well, why don't you just come over here, just to be safe?"

Layla knew she was worried about being caught.  But, it would be a lot more detrimental for Seth to happen to return home and find Layla not home, than it would be for him to find her best friend asleep in the spare bedroom.  "Look, if you're that worried, when you're ready to sleep, just crash out in our guest bedroom.  Alright?"

After a long pause, Tara, as always, gave in to Layla.  "OK, I'll be right over."

The lovers spent the most normal yet fun evening they'd ever had together.  With no band commitments, they were free to do anything they pleased.  They took a skinny dip together in Layla's pool and hot tubbed after.  They went for a walk around the neighborhood, struggling to resist the urge to hold hands.  As the sun set, they returned home to sip wine and watch movies.

As the hour grew later, and the women grew tipsy, emotions perhaps triggered by the chick flick they watched, began creeping up.  They sprawled on the couch, Layla leaning into Tara's arms.  "This has been a wonderful night," Tara said reflectively.

"It has," Layla agreed with a touch of sadness.

"I wish all of our nights could be like this."

Layla shifted her body to move on top of Tara.  "They will, Tara.  I'm going to see a lawyer this week.  I'm going to see what my options are, and the safest way to get out of this."

Tears glistened in Tara's eyes, and she traced her fingers down the side of Layla's face.

"And if my options aren't good, then…  We'll just bounce.  We'll disappear."

She leaned into Tara to seal her promises with a kiss.  It quickly deepened into a steamy, needy thing that seemed as though it would never end.  Soon they had scurried up on their knees on the couch, hurrying to undress each other.  Both of them wore sun dresses that easily fell away once spaghetti straps were pulled down.  Neither of them wore bras or underwear, which was just one of the many secrets they shared.  They kissed, stroked, rubbed and petted everywhere they could get their hands; in a frenzy to have each other.  All of each other.

Tara popped off the couch, and onto her knees on the floor.  She took Layla by the hips, guided her down into a seated position and pulled her forward.  Her feet rested on the floor and Tara eagerly spread her legs.

"Oh, baby, yes," Layla moaned, throwing her head back and closing her eyes as Tara sought and found her wetness with two twirling fingers.  "Yes, yes, yes," she cried.  Tara fingered her G-spot and lowered her face to tongue Layla's clit at the same time.  A string of naughty words tumbled out of Layla's mouth as her passion mounted.  Tara saw to herself as well, banging both Layla's and her own pussy with the same rhythmic intensity.

Soon both women found themselves on the living room floor lit only by the light of the television.  They moved into a scissor like tangle of legs and pelvises, and began grinding their clits together.  Both women moved in a sultry rapid rhythm, panting and rotating their hips as a mutual, powerful orgasm approached.

Which was when the front door, located in that very room, banged open.

Layla and Tara, yanked from their passionate reverie, tore apart from each other, both floundering for their dresses.  But it was useless.  Seth had turned on the living room light and stood there gaping.

They scrambled to put on their dresses and both fought tears as they peeked at his face.  He stared open mouthed for and instant, and then his face split into that malevolent grin they'd both seen before.

"Well, well, well," he said with a raunchy tone, strolling toward them.  "Why am I not surprised?"

Tara leapt up and darted toward the kitchen where both of them had left their purses.  But, Seth snagged her by the elbow and jerked her to an abrupt halt.  Layla leapt to her feet as well, advancing toward them.

"Where you think you're going, there, sweet ass?" Seth said condescendingly.  Tara's pretty face blanched.

"Get your hand off me, Seth," Tara said.  Any shrapnel of guilt she'd felt had swiftly been replaced by anger.  "I'm getting our purses, and then I'm taking Layla the fuck OUT of here.  You got me?" she barked, staring him dead in the eye.

Seth chuckled.  He dropped her arm, but before she could take even one step, he delivered a punch to her jaw that sent her clamoring to the floor.

"Oh god NO!" Layla screamed, dropping to the floor next to her wounded lover.  An angry red bruise already formed on Tara's jaw.  Layla began to sob, but Tara refused to let any tears fall.

Seth hulked over them.  "Here's how this is going to play out, ladies," he growled.  "No dike bitch is coming into my house and fucking my wife.  Unless…  She fucks me too."  The leering smile he gave them was so ugly; Layla shuddered to think exactly what all he might be on.  It said clearly, that Seth was capable of anything.

"Stop Seth," Layla begged.  "Just let Tara leave, and we'll work this out privately."

"Layla, no.  I won't leave you here alone with him," Tara said urgently.

Seth cackled again.  "That's right, lover, you sure won't," he agreed.  "Now let's not play games.  All I want's a little pussy girls!  Just like you!  Does that make me bad?"

Layla and Tara rested on their knees facing each other.  Layla gave her a pleading look.  "Let's just give him what he wants, baby.  Please," she asked softly.

Tara's face looked stricken.  She regarded Layla with wide, horrified eyes.  "Layla, what…  What are you saying?"

Layla leaned close and placed her lips right up to Tara's ears.  "Just this once, so we can get out of here.  And we'll never look back.  Please baby, please."

Tara sobbed inconsolably.  "I…  I can't believe you'd ask me this, Layla.  No, please, no!"

With a vicious roar, Seth reached down, grabbed Tara by her hair, and yanked her up.  "NO!  What the fuck do you mean NO?" he screamed.  Layla shrieked, crawling on her hands and knees, and grabbed at Seth's pants leg.  But he acted as though Layla were entirely invisible as he dragged Tara back across the room and tossed her like a rag doll onto the couch.  "You think you just get to fuck my wife and walk right out of her FOR NOTHING?  Fuck you, Tara.  You been asking for this from the first time I meant you anyway, you fucking bitch!"

He held her down with a knee planted firmly between her shoulder blades and buried her face down into the couch cushions while he awkwardly grappled with his fly.  Tara wept and squirmed as much as she could, but he quickly brought out his cock and restrained her hands at her sides just after yanking up her skirt.

"Oh yeah," he said, grinning down at the sight of her perfect body.  "This is gonna be good."

Tara began screaming and pleading.

And then, with a sickening, liquid sounding thud, Seth tipped off the couch and crashed to the floor.

"Oh my god!  What did you do?!"  Tara screamed hysterically.  She scrambled off the couch and onto her knees next to Seth on the floor.  Layla stood looming over them, her hands up as though surrendering.  A look of sheer terror riddled her face.

Seth lay on his side on the floor, his eyes closed, and blood pooling beneath him.

"I…  I couldn't let him hurt you, Tara," Layla croaked.

Tara hovered over Seth, assessing his injury.  He looked incredibly pale, and the heavy handle of a butcher knife protruded between his shoulder blades.  Blood steadily oozed out around the imbedded blade.

"Can we help him?" Layla asked urgently.  "Can you save him?"

Tara gently placed her fingers on Seth's neck and found only a weak pulse.  She looked up at Layla.  "I can remove the knife and he'll be dead in a matter of seconds.  Or I can leave it in, and he'll be dead in minutes.  Either way, he's not going to make it, Layla.  This is a fatal injury, you hit his heart.  No one can save him now."

Layla began to weep, and she beckoned for Tara.  "Move away from him.  Don't get his blood on you."

On trembling, weak legs, Tara stood, and the two women left the room.  In the kitchen, they both sank onto chairs at the table.  Tara fumbled with her purse and extracted her phone.  Layla's hand shot out and snatched the phone away from her.

"What are you doing, Tara? You can't call the cops!"

Tara's jaw dropped and she stared blinking at Layla.  "What?  Layla, I have to!  We just killed a man!"

Layla's bottom lip began to tremble as she felt hysteria bubbling up.  "Exactly, Tara.  I just murdered my husband!"

Tara reached across the table and took Layla's hands.  "Lay, it was self-defense.  Anyone can see that."

Layla shot out of her seat, yanking her hands away.  She began to pace.  "Can they?  Tara, every single person who knows us can attest that I had plenty of reason to want to kill him.  But just because he was a dead beat certainly doesn't mean a court will think it was OK!  And what about you!  If the truth comes out about us, if anyone finds out you were here when he died?"  She shook her head and rubbed her temples.  "They'll think we planned this Tara.  You'll go down too."

The wind rushed out of Tara as she sat lifelessly contemplating the sobering thought.  It occurred to Layla that she was thinking of her future while the only man she'd ever been with lay dying in the next room.  She turned and bolted to the sink where she vomited.

Tara crept up behind her to pull back her hair and comfortingly rub her back.  It took a long time for the violent heaving to release Layla.  She finally straightened and splashed cold water into her face.

"What do you want to do?" Tara asked quietly.  Layla turned to face her.  Tara's face was calm and her eyes searched Layla's.

"I'm so scared, Tara."

Tara wrapped her arms around Layla.  "I know, baby."  She pulled back but left her hands on Layla's shoulders.  "But we'll get through it together.  I'll do whatever you ask of me.  Now, what do you want to do?" she asked again.

Layla stared at Tara for a long moment without saying a word.  Finally, she averted her eyes and went back to her purse.

"I told you I've been making plans to run away if we had to," Layla revealed, reaching into her purse and extracting a manila envelope.  "I hoped it wouldn't come to running away," she said, her voice breaking.  "But, it happens that I'm prepared."

She opened the envelope and invited Tara to peek inside.  A small bundle of papers, appearing to be a passport, and other identification documents.  "I can become somebody else.  Tonight.  Right now.  All I have to do is fix my hair up to match the wig I wore in the pictures and I'm ready…"

Tara stared at Layla wide eyed with an expression of complete shock.  "What about me, Lay?  You're going to leave me?"

"Tara, you need to stay behind, OK?  Stay here and don't tell anybody that you were here tonight.  That way you're not incriminated.  They'll assume I killed him and attention will be off you."

Sobbing, Tara threw her arms around Layla and clung to her.
