Still blushing, Monica withdrew her hand. “Sure, why not. Just give me a half hour. I’ll meet you in the lobby.”
“I sure will. I’ll be there as soon as I sign and log out.” Colin left the Evidence Room with great urgency.

Colin stood in the four sided, bullet proof glass lobby. The glass walls extended from the ceiling to the floor. They gave a clear view to the outside landscape and parking lot. Colin looked over his backdated memos that were left in his office mailbox while he waited patiently for Monica. It wasn’t long before a beautiful woman of mocha complexion with long brown hair and an hour glass figure was striding in his direction. He knew right away that it was her. Colin felt like an anxious, untamed puppy waiting for his bone, but he knew he had to calm down. Taking in a deep breath, he loosened his tie and collar before she approached him.
“OK, so you ready to clear this joint?” Monica asked as she walked up alongside Colin.
“Yes, I am! That sounds like music to my ears. It’s been eight months since I’ve been amongst civilization. I can’t wait to leave this building and to get out of this suit.”
“Holy crap! You’ve been gone that long?”
“Yes, I have, and I can’t begin to explain all that I had to deal with.” Colin chuckled. “But you’ll see eventually, what accommodations you have to make for your position. All in the name of our job right?”
Monica laughed too as they walked towards their cars. As they exited outside, the wind was blowing and the temperature was below twenty degrees. She answered Colin with chattering teeth. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. Look, you follow me to my place and we can drop my car off and then go straight to lunch.”
“Sounds good. But be careful, there’re still some icy spots in the parking lot.”
“Yeah, I noticed when I came in earlier, but I will. I’m famished, let’s get going.”
“Yes, I know what you mean.”
Colin examined Monica up and down as she entered her car.
But I would settle for, and be completely content with, a bite of you, Monica. You just don’t know, I’m about to explode.
He became conscious of his intense stare because she turned around to look at him as if she felt it.
“What are you standing there gaping for?” Monica giggled. “Get in your car, man, let’s go!”
Colin slanted his eyes and smiled, tailing Monica’s car to her place. He waited for her to park and jump into his car. They sped off to a restaurant of his choice.

“I’m glad you allowed me to pick the place for lunch. I wanted something very nice for you.”
“Colin, we could’ve gone anywhere simple. I’m easy and trouble-free, I just wanted to eat. I am a simple and plain type of gal. I don’t need extravagant or fancy.”
“No. You’re more than that. As beautiful as you are, you should be treated with much more. That’s how I see you.” Colin reached across the table and caressed the top of her hand.
Still smiling as she took in her surroundings, Monica responded, “That may be true from your point of view, but I don’t have to have things lavished on me.”
“So, you’re saying you don’t like the finer things that life may have to offer?” Colin knew he really meant that he had to offer, but didn’t want to come off aggressive.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s nice sometimes, but it’s not necessary or mandatory all the time.”
“I think I know what you’re saying. Well, how about we skip all of this and just get down to business?”
“What?” Monica answered with widened eyes.
“I mean let’s lighten the chatter and, let’s order our food first, and then we can continue conversing.”
Colin could tell by Monica’s facial expression that she thought he was making a sexual request.
Monica laughed with a little embarrassment. “Oh! Since you’re so familiar with this restaurant you can order for the both of us.”
Colin joined in with her laughter. “I’m sorry. I should’ve been a little clearer.” Signaling a waiter to come over to their table, he began to order.
“Good afternoon, sir. What would you like to order?” the waiter asked.
“Good afternoon. Ah, we’ll have the Greek Salad, the asparagus soup…”
Monica interrupted abruptly, “Holt, hold the asparagus. NO asparagus soup!”
“It’s good, trust me, you’ll like it. Just try it, if you don’t like it, just don’t eat it.”
“Alright, I’ll try it, but I’m not playing, Colin. I better not get sick because of this. I don’t like surprises when it comes to my food.”
“You won’t, I promise.” He continued with their order. “Bring some of your infamous goat cheese bread also. Ah, and the gazpacho with crab, and the picnic plate that is accompanied with the shrimp and scallops. Thank you, sir.”
The waiter bowed before walking away. “Thank you, sir.”
“Yes, sir, right away, sir,” the waiter said.
Another waiter brought over a bottle of Verdi. “Would you like a glass of wine, complimentary of the house?”
“Yes, please.”
Monica reached for her glass. Colin saw that her face remained a bit red, and wondered if she was still entertaining embarrassing thoughts. To quickly enhance the atmosphere, he grabbed his glass as well.
“See, that’s why I chose this restaurant.
Rioja,
always gets great reviews, not just by Denver Restaurant Critics, but in my book as well. I love how elegant and classy they are. Come on, let’s propose a toast.”
Monica’s smile returned. “What are we toasting to?”
“To your new job and to…”
“And to… what?”
“To us. I would like to take you out on a real date. I think we’re hitting it off pretty good. We’re awesome together. What do you think?”
Monica took a sip of her wine and froze, gazing at him before she responded. “I think I’ll let you know after lunch.”
“I can’t wait to hear what you have to say.”

Arriving back at her condo, Monica expressed her gratitude.
“I really enjoyed having lunch with you today, Colin. You helped make this day really special for me.”
“Well, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.”
“I did indeed. I don’t have family here. So it was really nice sharing this special moment with you. But, you really didn’t have to go to the extremes. We could’ve gone to my favorite place for lunch,
Famous Dave’s Legendary Pit Bar-B-Q
.”
“Nah, I couldn’t have that.”
“Nevertheless, everything was nice and elegant too.”
Monica smiled after delivering a kiss to his cheek. Her soft lips ignited a feeling of hot lava flowing violently throughout his member, he wanted to surpass the theatrics and absorb every ounce of moisture that rested on her luscious lips. They were so full and felt like flower petals against his skin.
“Well, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and I didn’t mind at all. I enjoyed myself as well, especially with you.”
“Aw, that was nice of you to say. Thank you, I enjoyed being in your company too. You’re funny and I like listening to your stories. You have to tell me more, soon.”
Colin took a step closer and his voice deepened. “I can tell you more over dinner if you like?”
He watched as Monica slid her gaze to his hair. She brushed back an out of place curl from his forehead. He thought that perhaps she was uneasy by his closeness to her. The uneasiness she was feeling wasn’t a negative kind, but one of …nervousness, nervous desire. Her body language, along with the hardness of her nipple pressing through her blouse, told him she wanted him too. Colin also noticed her biting her bottom lip as she grabbed a hand full of his hair as if her desires were getting the best of her. He knew that that was his cue to make some kind of move.
“Yes, I would like that very much,” she answered in a whisper. She then followed his gaze with hers until she was also staring at her chest.
Hell! Enough with this.
He leaned in toward her as he planted his lips over hers to seal a kiss. Electric shocks engulfed his body while he embraced hers. He thrust his warm tongue deep into her mouth. His senses were heightened and he could taste the strawberries that still lingered on her tongue from the strawberry mousse that was served for desert at the restaurant. Monica offered no resistance, but instead wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Mm,” she moaned as she welcomed his tongue by curling hers around his.
Colin felt his pants tent. He grabbed at Monica’s firm cheeks. Her eyes widened with surprise.
Monica pulled back. “Alright. Don’t start nothing you can’t handle, sir. You know I’m a trained agent. I know how to handle myself.” She laughed.
“Damn, that sounds inviting. Don’t tempt me. You know I wouldn’t mind seeing you in action.” He growled as he pulled her close to him once more, and whispered in her ear.
Monica laughed as she pushed Colin away from her. “You are a mess. Maybe next time, if you’re a good boy.”
“I’ll be a good boy for you. When do you want to go out again? Next week?”
“Hell no, that’s too long! I need you… I mean you got me all aroused now. We have to get together sooner than that if you want to see me in action. But let me warn you. Don’t go home crying to your mommy afterwards,” Monica said.
“We’ll see. I like that. You have a lot to say right now, Ms. Monica. I like that very much. That sounds like an offer I can’t refuse. In that case, I will be picking you up here tomorrow after work. Remember those words. And we’ll see who will be calling mommy,” Colin mocked, laughing, as he backed away.
Feeling sexually aroused after the foreplay with Monica, he knew that he was headed for a cold shower as soon as he hit the door to his place. Her fragrance was embedded into the senses of his memory. He couldn’t stop thinking of her, the time they spent together eating lunch and the thought of the possibility of them making love. After getting home, taking a shower, and lying across the bed, he quickly fell asleep with her name on his lips.
“Moe.”
Man, I need to hurry up. Colin will be pulling up in any minute. I’m not sure what to wear. He didn’t say where we were going. Maybe I’ll wait till he gets here.
Just as soon as Monica finished her thought, Colin rang her door bell. It was about five thirty when he arrived. She felt like she was out of time when she answered the door. She was still in her robe.
“Hey! I’ll be ready in a sec,” she said by way of greeting.
“Hey. I thought you would be ready by now. I waited an extra hour so you could unwind a little.”
“I know, but I thought I had more time to take a quick shower. Afterwards I realized that I didn’t know what to wear because I didn’t know where we were going. We never decided. I didn’t know if I should dress up, go casual, or even if I should wear tennis shoes or not.”
Colin walked in and Monica closed the door behind him. She walked past him as she welcomed him in.
“Welcome to my humble abode. It’s a small condo. I had to move suddenly when I took the job at the Bureau. I really didn’t have the time I thought I would to look around Denver and ponder over my options.”
“You have great taste. So you like expensive things too.”
“No, not really. I do like nice things, but things that are not too expensive. See, I like to shop for bargains. I’m very cautious about my spending, I refuse to waste money on unnecessary things. I like simplicity, things can be nice, but I’m realistic about their value.”
Colin nodded his head in concurrence. “I like nice things too, and I enjoy the finer things in life. I was also brought up to treat women as such, and to provide her with the finer things.”
“Well we sound like we like the same things, but just don’t overdo it. I still think you spent too much on that lunch yesterday. That bill was over two hundred dollars just after taxes. We could have treated the whole job to lunch at
Famous Dave’s
.”
“Yes, but remember something, we were celebrating your new job and us. So come on, get dressed.”
“Well, tell me where we’re going so I know how to dress for the occasion.” Monica stood with her hand on her hips. Her breasts were sitting full and to attention. So much so that it caught Colin’s eye.
“Don’t do that!”
“Do what?” Monica asked as she noticed a sudden stiffness in Colin’s pants.
He responded as he turned away to regain his composure with the clearing of his throat. “Never mind.”
Monica walked over to the refrigerator to open it. “Do you need something to drink? I have some flavored water.”
“Yes, please,” Colin answered in a low voice.
As she shut the door with the bottled water in her hand, her bathrobe tie caught on the door handle. Colin’s eyes widen and his mouth dropped open with thirst for more than just water. He walked toward her. He realized that she that her robe was partially pulled open. She tried to catch it but was too late. Her belt fell to the floor leaving with no reinforcements. Holding the bottles of water for them both with hand while pulling onto her robe offered no justice, her breast still ended up being exposed.
“Here, is this what you need?” She extended her hand to give him the bottle of water.
Colin reached for the water and sat it on the table. He turned back to Monica in silence to caress her breast.
“No, this is what I need.”
Monica took a short deep breath and swallowed. “Then what are you waiting for? There’s nothing here to stop you.”
“I was waiting for the green light.”
Standing on her toes, Monica reached up to the six-foot-four sculpture before her to plant a kiss on his lips. She felt his cold hands and strength come to her aid as he lifted her toward him. The imprint of his hardness pressed against her. Chills and shivers of burning desire pulsated and ran throughout her body. Their tongues locked on each other allowing the release of overwhelming pleasure. Her head flew backward permitting Colin to kiss his way down her neck until he was able to reach her breast. He pulled them from her robe as he caught them with his mouth.
“Oh my god, Colin. What are you doing to me?” Monica moaned uncontrollably.
“I wanted you since I first saw you, Moe. You look so good right now. I want to taste you all over.” He sat her on the counter.
