Love In Strange Places (10 page)

“Long day.” He pulled back and massaged her shoulders.

She closed her eyes. “Yes…” she moaned as his hands worked magic on her sore shoulders.

He spun her around and she finally saw him.
Damn his washboard abs
. Not one once of fat, unlike hers. She extended her hands and placed them on his chest.

He took her hands, pulled them to his lips and kissed her fingers, surveying her eyes. “
Abigail—”

“Who the hell is
Abigail?” she asked. She pulled back her hands. “I can’t believe you called me by another woman’s name.” She was about to back away when he pulled her forward.

He smirked, making her more furious. “Feisty…I miss that.”

He lowered his head to kiss her and she backed away. “Are you crazy? I’m not kissing you after you called me by some other name.”

He tugged her into his body and whispered against her lips. “Isn’t
Abigail your middle name?” He arched an eyebrow.

“Oh yeah
,” she said to herself.

“Something special between us.” He cupped her face and gently kissed her awaiting mouth. “I’ve wanted you for weeks. I was giving you time to come to me, but you’re so damn suborn.”

“You are too.” She placed her hands in the back of his neck. “We’re supposed to be making a baby, and you haven’t touched me.” She gazed up at him.

“I
thought you time.” He gave her a feather kiss on her neck.

“I never needed time.” She pulled him down, devouring his mouth. “Take me.”

He walked her backward to his bed, until they bumped into it. “Are you still on birth control?”

“No.”

Her clothes were off within seconds. He pulled down his shorts and picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist. “Please don’t keep me waiting any longer,” she said.

His heart was beating so fast as he grabbed his dick, and rubbed it against her core. He’d never been with a woman without protection in over fifteen years. The thought almost made him come.

“Please…Andrew.” She moaned, and then she gasped when he slowly moved his cock into her wet, tight canal.

“Fuck.” He growled. The sensation was multiplied by the tenth
when he entered her. “Oh, God, Sher—” He couldn’t even finish his sentence. She rotated her hips, squeezing her pussy muscles. He pulled her short hair and devoured her mouth, stroking her tongue in the same motion he used to stroke her pussy.

Sherry
’s hold on his neck got tighter. She nibbled on his shoulder, moaning. “Fuck me…harder…”

And that he did, going deeper without hurting her. Her legs started shaking.

She moved up and cupped his face into her hands. Her eyes were filled of pleasure, desire, want, and his mouth was slightly opened. Their lovemaking was getting intense, as he thrust deep. She brought her mouth down to his and bit his bottom lip as he pushed up inside her.

“Make me….” Her head went back.

Thank God he had his arms tightly around her or she would’ve fallen.

“Tell me…” He growled the words through gritted teeth.

She gave as such as he did, matching each thrust. “Make me…yours….”

He placed her down and turned her around, spreading her wide. “Can you take al
l of me?” he whispered.

“Yes. Give it to me.” She arched her back.

He slowly pushed into her pussy, and began to give her long, slow thrusts, making her murmur. She was saying things he couldn’t understand. Her pussy felt so good, no barriers between them. Her walls began contracting around his cock. “Baby, come for me,” he said, playing with her clit.

“Oh…Yes….Yes! Andrew!” She yelled.

He let her come down from her high, and he gripped her hips and pumped into her until he felt his balls tighten and rush of sperm shot out. He fell on top of her and kissed her. “You’re mine,” he said, trying to regain his strength.

“That was
…crazy.” She said under his huge body. He leaned off her back and slid to the floor, where she joined him on the blanket. “I meant that in the best way possible.”

“I know. That was powerful.” He pulled her closer to him. She placed her head on his chest.

They eventually got up and took a shower, and eventually returned to the floor to eat the meal he’d prepared for them. She rested between his legs as he fed her the last strawberry.

“How was work?” he asked.

“Everything that could go wrong, did.” She took a drink of water.

“What happened?”

She
turned to look at him. He looked like he actually really cared about her day. “One of my best guys called in sick, and then some of the programs crashed.”

“Did you fix it?” He combed his fingers through her hair.

“Eventually,” she observed him. “You’re spoiling me.”

“Because I asked about your day?”

“No, because of all this.” She looked around. “And yes, because you asked me about my day. It’s like you care.”

He leaned his head to her ear. “I do care.”

“How was your day?”

“I spent my day thinking of making love to you,” he said, moving down her neck, nibbling on her collarbone. “I hope we made a baby tonight.”

She closed her eyes and moaned. “Me too…but just in case, let’s practice again.”

Chapter Twelve

Sherry gazed at Tiffany’s baby, wondering if her baby would look like its cousins, either Matthew or Makayla. She smiled. Every time she thought of Andrew, her heart raced double-time. It had been three months since Vegas, and they had a new routine down. They took turns cooking breakfast and dinner. She couldn’t remember the last time they’d taken jabs at each other. She couldn’t believe the way she was acting, at work. She couldn’t wait to rush home and see her husband. She was a completely different person when she was with him. With him, she was able to be the real Sherry: all her defenses were down when she was with Andrew. He’d become her friend and lover.

“Earth to
Sherry.” Tiffany waved her hands in her face.

Sherry
finally looked at her. “Sorry. I was daydreaming. What did you say?”

“Damn, girl, is he that good?” Tiffany laughed.

“I have a lot on my mind.” She picked up little Ricky.

“You can’t lie to me. You’re falling for your husband. It’s all over your face.”

Sherry ignored her and kissed her godson. “Ricky, you’re looking more and more like your mommy.”

“Don’t ignore me.”

“I’m not, Tiff. I just never expected to feel this way about him. I always thought he was selfish, full of himself, but I was so wrong.” She sighed. “I’m feeling things, things I’ve never felt for anyone else.”

Tiffany gently took
her son and put him in his stroller, and touched her hand. “It’s called love.”

Andrew couldn’t stop smiling. He thought of his little girl or boy; would the baby have his eyes? Her lips? It didn’t matter. He would love them regardless of how they looked. He couldn’t wait until Sherry got pregnant. And in the meantime, he was counting down the time to go home so he could cook dinner for his wife.

“Damn, you got it bad,” he said out loud to himself, laughing. He wondered what story she’d have to tell him today. This feeling he was having was different than any he’d had before.

He picked up the phone and dialed. “Hey, beautiful.” He smiled, feeling something strange, his heart pumped a little faster, when he heard her voice, over the sounds of a baby crying into the phone.

“Hold on,”
Sherry said. He could hear her talking to Tiffany. “Andrew?”

“I’m here.”

“I’m sorry about that. Ricky is a little fussy.”

“It’s okay. I miss you.” There was silence on the line.
Shit, why did I say that?
He was waiting for her to say something smart, but her response surprised him.

“I miss you too.”

His heart raced a mile a minute. “You do?”

“Yes, I really do. Did you need something?”

“No, I just called to hear your voice and tell you I miss you.”

“I needed to hear your voice too.”

There was a knock at his office door. “Come in.”

Jason entered his office with papers in his hands, and Andrew lifted a finger asking him to wait for a second.

“See you tonight.”

“Bye.”

Jason sat in the chair in front of Andrew’s desk and started laughing.

“What?”

“Was that your wife on the phone?”

“Yes, why?” Andrew asked, leaning forward.

“Because of that big smile on your face.”

He leaned back in the chair. “What smile?”

“I’ve never seen you so relaxed in the years I’ve known you, but then again, love does have that effect.”

That comment made Andrew stand up. “What?”

“You heard me. I know this started as a contract, but you can’t help who you love. Ask Kay. It took us years to get our shit together. I can’t see my life without her,” Jason said solemnly.

“I know you didn’t come here to get mushy on me.” He leaned on his desk.

Jason just laughed and handed him the papers. “Take a look at the date on the bottom.”

Andrew read the documents. “So they did know.”

“Yes, John did some research and found those. They knew the equipment was faulty, but they falsified the annual review.”

A
ndrew walked behind of his desk and sat in his chair. “This means war. He will keep us in court for months or even longer.”

“Are you up for this?”

“I’m always up for a challenge. The question is, are you?”

“Always,” Jason said.

“This case is big. That means long hours. If Mr. Peter Shin thinks he’s going to win, he’s in for a big surprise.”

Chapter Thirteen

“It’s Saturday.”
Sherry took the last bite of her sandwich.

“For real.” Andrew laughed.

“When was the last time you did something fun?” Sherry asked him.

“I’m having fun right here with you.”

“I’m being serious.” She stood and began to clear the table.

He watched her closely as she placed the dishes in the sink. He got up
and stood behind her. “What’s on your mind?”

She turned smiling. “I want to go skating.”

“Skating?”

“We’re young. We need to have fun, live life.” She took his hand. “Please say yes.” She put his hands around her waist, and then she placed her own around his neck, getting up on her tiptoes. “Please say yes,” she said, breathing the words against his lips.

“What do I get in return?”

She wiggled her eyebrows and gave him a naughty smile. “Anything you want.”

“Grab your shoes. Let’s go.”

“Sherry, maybe this isn’t such a good idea. I haven’t skated since I was a kid.” Andrew fumbled with the laces of his skates.

She got up after tying her skates and began pulling Andrew’s hand. “Come on, don’t be a chicken. You’re going to have fun.”

They slowly made their way to the rink.

Sherry
released him and skated away, twirling around and laughing like she was a kid. She passed by him multiple times.

Andrew took his time, slowly skating around teens and kids.

She came up behind him and took his hand and pulled him, making him go faster as she guided him around the ring. “I got you,” she said, laughing.

He found
his rhythm. It was like riding a bike. Once you learned how to do it, you never forgot.

She moved in front of him
so they faced each other and he began spinning them around, laughing. He hadn’t had innocent fun like this in a long time. She brought out so much in him.

She couldn’t stop laughing. “Stop! I’m getting dizzy.”

He pulled her close to him, kissed her nose, and skated away.

She went to follow him but she must still have been dizzy because she fell. He rushed back toward her, thinking she was hurt. Her hands were covering her face and it sounded like she was crying.

He kneeled down by her side. “Sherry, please tell me you’re okay,” he said, his voice rattling.

She uncovered her face. Instead of crying she was laughing. He didn’t know he’d been holding his breath until he saw she wasn’t hurt.

“Yes,” she said, still sitting on the ice.

He stood, extending his hand to help her up
. She took his hand and jumped up.
