Love vs. Payne (11 page)

"Room Number One," he smiled at the man and the small man smiled back knowingly, both turning to smile at the couple. The elevator door opened and he led them down a short hall to a door with a huge, silver number one in the middle. He opened the door and they both smiled in awe.

The huge room was spectacular, like nothing either of them had ever seen. A magnificent, cherry wood, four-post bed that was decorated in thick layers of crimson, Bordeaux and garnet colored bedding, dominated the room. The entire room was done in various shades of red, with splashes of deep plum and dark pink. From the silk sheets, the chiffon fabric draped around the tall bed posts to the brightly colored satin pillows scattered all over the room, everything screamed red. The walls were the deepest of reds, and the highly polished wooden floor was covered in brightly hued coordinating rugs he had purchased before leaving France. The room smelt heavenly, from the warm vanilla scented candles in thick silver holders to the faint trace of chocolate and berries.

"Enjoy your room and don't forget the chocolate," Pascal pointed to the sliver fondue pot that sat on the matching tray with had floral cutouts around the edges. They both looked in the direction he pointed. It was a dreamy looking little spot, a beautiful crushed-crystal end table stood between two exotically carved, wooden chairs with scarlet and magenta damask print satin cushions. Behind it, the huge window with the thick, deep-crimson drapes gave a perfect view to the magnificent magnolia trees in the yard.

"Unusual." Maddox said after Pascal shut the door.

"But sweet." she smiled back. "Speaking of sweet," she walked over to the table and saw the fondue pot filled with melted milk chocolate sitting beside a platter of the largest, reddest strawberries she had ever seen before. "I am addicted to strawberries!" He watched as she grabbed one, and then dipped it in the chocolate, eagerly bringing the juicy berry to her lips. His manhood instantly hardened as he imagined the other things he could have her do with those delicious lips. He walked over to her, standing very close then traced her lips with his finger. She held the strawberry up to his mouth offering him a bite and he bit into the sweet fruit.

"Taste it with chocolate," she purred as she dipped the fruit into the fondue pot. "It’s divine."

"I'd rather taste you," he kissed her neck, "did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?” he murmured, sucking on the soft skin.

"Yea right, in my hand sewn dress." she took another bite of the strawberry.

"You could have wrapped a garbage bag around you and you still would have been the prettiest girl at prom," he kissed her lips lightly, tasting the chocolate and fruit.

"Well did I tell you how handsome you look in your jersey?" she smiled, grooming him for a second as he played with a long dark curl. "I saw you the minute you walked in the door, everyone did."

"But you stole the show."

"No way." she blushed.

"Every guy there wanted to dance with you." he kissed her neck, going all the way to her bare shoulder as he inhaled her scent. She smelled so sweet, so soft and so feminine, that he wanted to eat her up. "And I wanted to stand on stage and announce that the only man you would be dancing with was me," he looked into her eyes.

"You are the only one that I wanted to dance with." she said, her eyes full of longing.

He smiled then walked over to the dresser with the huge oval mirror and turned on the antique radio, the old melodic beats with the soft French lullabies poured through the small speaker. He stood back a little from her, then with a wicked grin, he held out his hand and formally bowed, she smiled as she placed her small hand in his. He put his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him, dropping a kiss on her cheek. They danced across the room, her full skirt fanning around her as he twirled her in circles. He suddenly stopped and dipped her back dramatically before kissing her.

"I should have been the first and only one to dance with you, not Frankie." he said in her ear.

"You are the first and only."

"I wanted to take you to the prom." he said with a deep sadness in his voice.

"It doesn't matter who took me to the prom, it's who took me
from
the prom that's important." she smiled, "besides, I had a piece of you with Me." she pointed to the red bow on the small table.

"No fair, I didn't have a piece of you."

"Why have a piece when you can have all of me right now." she said. It was all he needed, he kissed her with everything inside of him, and everything he had been holding back for fear of falling to deep into her spell. He did not care anymore, he was sick of the regret, and fed up with the guilt. He wanted her in every way, shape and form, and he was done with fighting it.

She kissed him just as passionately, she did not care right now about anything else other than being with him. It no longer mattered that he was her sworn enemy, she loved him. She had been saving herself for marriage and true love, but as fate would have it, she could not marry her true love. She also knew she would never have true love with the man she ended up marrying, because she knew she would never be able to love anyone else as she did Maddox. She wanted her first time to be special, and it would only be perfect if it were with Maddox.

As he kissed her, he reached behind and unzipped the corseted top of her dress then slid it down, dangerously low on her hips. He kissed the tops of her breasts, still dancing slowly, as he unhooked the strapless bra, letting it fall to the floor. He pulled back to look at her.

He honestly could not imagine
not
having her. Her perfect full up thrust breasts with her hardened nipples that always seemed to point just for him, to the beautiful bee stung lips that he wanted to kiss every minute of the day.  Then there were those eyes of hers that seemed to look deep into his iron little heart and exposed exactly what he tried to hide. He loved the way that she thought, it amused him beyond no end, not to mention her strength, even when the odds were stacked against her. He also adored her voice, that deep, honeyed sound that flowed thick from her beautiful mouth.

"Let's leave," he said.

"Run away?" she asked.

"Yes," he rolled a curl around his finger.

"Where?"

"Anywhere." he ran a vanilla scented curl down his face.

"Anywhere there are no Payne’s, no Love’s, no feuds and no enemies."

"Only us." his deep voice caressed her soul, making her long for a place they could really run away. He ran his hands lightly over her breasts.

"I don't ever want to leave you," she looked at him and he frowned a little, pulling her into his embrace.

That stifling gloom came over her as she thought about what it would be like if she could never see him again. She was trying to hold up the best she could and be strong about it, although she was withering away inside. Maddox was more angry than sad, she watched him have to calm himself down, and try to stay level headed while not getting too worked up. He wanted to fight his family, and as much as she wanted to, she just could not openly defy her father. She was not as strong as Maddox, he was ready to take on the world and she was ready to run in her room and hide. "I wish we could just be together, I wish our families never had that fight." she cried the tears rolling her cheeks. If they were not enemies they would be together, she was sure they had fallen in love that first day of third grade, when they had no idea who they were or what their last names stood for.

"Shush," he held her close to him, her bare breasts crushed against his chest, "All I want to think about tonight is you." He held her until she calmed down, sliding his hand up and down her back, soothing her. He would give anything to stop those tears, he hated to see her cry, and he hated feeling helpless to her and to himself. He had to change the mood, the maddening reality of their situation was to intense not to make everything gloomy and grey. Well, not tonight, tonight was their night and he wanted her to relax and enjoy him as he was going to enjoy her.

Maddox picked her up and took her to the bed, setting her on the middle of the bright, thick comforter. He took a step back then slid off his jersey and the t-shirt underneath before tossing them down. Gia watched in awe as he revealed his powerful chest, his muscles flexing with each movement and his bulging biceps beckoning for her touch. She felt the warmth ignite at the apex of her thighs then slowly leak through the rest of her trembling body.

He grabbed the silver cart with the tray of strawberries, the bottles of champagne and the pot of chocolate, then rolled it over to the side of the bed. He grabbed the two tall champagne glasses with thick crystal stems that were shaped into the form of a nude woman, who appeared to be holding up the top of the cup. He then grabbed the champagne and filled the glasses before sitting on the bed facing her. He handed her a glass then held his up for a toast.

“A toast, to us.” he announced before they clicked glasses.

“And to us not getting caught for skipping the prom and going to a motel with the enemy.” she took a sip as he drained his glass then poured another.

“We only have tonight Gia, let’s not waste it worrying about our family, they are our
true
enemies.” he said as he pulled her closer to him, the thick fabric of her gown fanned out around them like a billowy, gold-flecked cloud. “I don’t even want to talk about them, I just want to focus on you tonight, every inch of you.”

“I like that idea.” she whispered as he laid her back on the bed, and then gently kissed her full lips. His lips left hers to lay soft kisses on her chin, then trailed down her throat to focus on the valley between her breasts. He grabbed her dress and slid it down her body as he kissed every inch of skin her revealed in the process. Once the dress was removed from her body, he kissed his way back up her leg until his lips reached her panties. Gia felt her belly began to flutter erratically as he grabbed the waistband of her panties then pulled them from her body. He stood back to look at her for a moment, but the intensity from his untamed stare was doing things to her and she had to sit up.

“You really are beautiful Gia.” he said as he sat back down next to her.

“So are you.” she threw her arms around his neck and pulled his head down to kiss his lips.

"You taste good too." he whispered against her lips.
