“Hello Ms. Hughes. My name is Tyson Miller and I would be happy to show you around. I don’t mind taking time to do this service.”

With that, Tyson walked away. His hand was hovering over the area just above that delectable looking ass. Paulette Hughes hadn’t gone unnoticed in the short time that she’d been with the company. The guys all had to put in a daily appearance at the office to turn in forms and hours. Paulette sat at the front desk with another administrative secretary. The forms were filed in one area of the circular desk that caused her to have to exit her chair and walk away from them. There wasn’t one male that hadn’t commented on the junk in that beauty’s trunk. Dario always laughed because he noticed, but he didn’t pant after her like the other seeming hybrids he worked with. The bunch tended to turn into animals when a pretty woman was around. They fought to mark their territory.

“Dude, did he just ‘soft voice’ her? Y’all heard him, right?” Neal called out.

At age twenty-six, he was the next youngest on the team, but the first to call someone out if he felt it necessary. Dario shook his head as he watched the guys crowd around to observe the master, Tyson, in action.

“Paulette is probably going to quit before she even really gets started. The girl is new to everything. He’s about to ruin her before …”

A loud crack was heard and Dario immediately stopped speaking. Each of the guys started to move back and act as if they hadn’t been watching the scene unfold.

“Maybe she’s not as new as you thought, Boss,” Neal stated as he turned to face Dario.

Dario knew what he was trying to do. Neal was trying to make it appear as if he’d been talking to him and not watching as everyone else was. Ty was making his way their way and the audience would not have been appreciated. Surprisingly, Paulette followed.

Her small stature and curvy body garnered attention from a lot of the guys. The way that she dressed and carried herself had her appearing as if she was the picture of innocence. A few of the guys made the reference on several occasions in the last two days. With every step she took behind the big guy, she was proving all of them wrong.

“Excuse me. Tyson is it? Let me help you out with something. Your sugar sweet voice did nothing for me. I was attracted to you before you tried to run that tired game on me. I am the youngest of five with four older brothers. I know all of the pitiful lines that guys will try use when wanting to get into the pants of a female. If you want a quick screw, then you’ve got the wrong girl. I don’t do notches on belts. If you want something more, then try again when your cheek heals.”

Tyson stood stunned for a few minutes before he gave a slight nod of his bald head and walked away. All of the guys were shocked that he’d said nothing in response, if the mumbled words and slight whispers were any indicator. There were times when the men really were worse than some of the women he knew with the gossip. Ty turned back around. Jogging up to Paulette, he snatched her phone out of her hand. She’d been on it so her usual screen lock wasn’t showing. Quickly entering his information, he made a call to his phone then handed hers back to her. Ty didn’t say a word. He just walked away.

Paulette stood quiet for a few minutes before turning to Dario and speaking with confusion peppering her voice, “Mr. Anderson, I’m sorry that you had to witness that. I don’t usually do those sorts of things. I don’t want the men here to think that I’m the type of female to just allow any and everything to fly. I’m here to work, not be chased down like some prize for some idiotic male. Please excuse my reaction.”

“Paulette, you have nothing to apologize for. If anything makes you uncomfortable, please feel free to seek me out and let me know. I won’t allow any of my employees or co-workers to feel disrespected or mistreated whether male or female. Know that it is not tolerated.”

“Thank you, Mr. Anderson. I appreciate that. I’m fine. Like I said, I grew up in a house with four brothers. It takes a lot more than a rude statement to get under my skin. I’ll go take care of the paperwork you needed me to when I return to the office. I’ll come back after everyone has eaten something. Maybe the guys will be on better behavior if they’ve got full stomachs. Have a good lunch, guys.”

Dario laughed at the shocked expressions on all of the men’s faces that stood around him. They couldn’t believe she stuck them so quick and moved on without a backward glance. Tyson looked to be licking his wounds in the corner with two other guys. His phone was in his hand. He looked to be texting. Looking in Paulette’s direction, she was as well. Maybe, he didn’t have to lick his wounds. They didn’t appear to run too deep. It looked like things might be looking up for Tyson. Too bad Dario couldn’t say the same for his own situation.
