Mia's Masters [Locks and Chains 2] (Siren Publishing Ménage and More) (5 page)

“What?” Mathew hollered.

“I think we give her an offer of free room and board in exchange for cooking, cleaning, and being our bed mate. Basically our servant,” Peter explained. “Craig was telling us in the club that she wanted to be a submissive. I have a feeling there’s a little more to our Mia than any of us realize. While I was holding her a while ago, I had the distinct feeling she was snuggling a little more closely than was necessary for comfort. Maybe she’s been attracted to us all along as well.”

“Do you know the sexual harassment laws we would be breaking? Not to mention the negative implications of what you’re proposing if you’re wrong and she rejects the offer. God she might even quit, and where would we be then,” Mathew replied.

“Look, I never said this would be easy, and I’m not sure she will go for it, but we could give her two offers. A loan of some money, or a deal to become our submissive servant,” Peter said.

“Okay. Not bad. I think I could sell this!” Mathew said, running through all the angles in the sales pitch.

“Hold it right there, you knuckleheads. This poor woman has just discovered her apartment and all her possessions in the world have gone. And you’re both trying to bully her into become our sex slave on the very same day,” Dylan said with indignation. He wanted Mia as much as either of them, if not more. But his moral compass pointed to this idea being lecherous and grossly unjustified, and they were all better than that.

“Yeah, you’re right. Maybe we should leave it till tomorrow.” Mathew grinned.

“Look, let’s just be friends to her right now. We’ll help her through the rest of the day and give her a warm, comfortable bed to sleep off her shock. Tomorrow we can talk again.” He saw Mathew and Peter look at each other with matching predatory grins. They wanted Mia, and just as a spider builds a web, he could see they thought they had their little bug caught. They’d give her all the support and warm bed she needed, including warm bodies for that touch of extra heat. They would have her so wrapped up in their world, she wouldn’t even think about leaving them.

Mathew followed the directions from his iPhone navigation app toward her apartment stopping when they reached the media trucks and police tape wrapped around the sidewalk. It was a circus of media crews, police, firemen, and god knew who else. It didn’t matter. What mattered was poor Mia. She had been folding her hands in her lap the entire drive, her knuckles white from pressure. Now her face was white as a ghost. All the color had not only drained from her face but from her entire body as well. He was concerned she might actually pass out, like in some eighteenth century love story. Thankfully, his Mia was built of stronger stuff. Or at least he hoped so anyway.

“I probably should go over there.” Mia pointed to what looked like a command tent on the opposite side of the street from the burnt remains of the apartment building.

“I’ll go with you,” Dylan demanded, halting both Peter and himself from opening their doors.

They had all decided to come and help her. Not that it would need three men. The decision was made because they’d started to argue over who would be left behind. In true Dom form, Dylan told both Peter and himself they’d be getting cropped for fighting, and they would all go. Hell, the crop was going to hurt, but Mia was worth it. He loved Dylan and Peter, and the thought of maybe having Mia in their lives was something he had dreamed of. He imagined the things he could do with her, like naughty sex, and shopping. She might even enjoy some of his outdoor adventures. Dylan was too dignified to go to a football game or play ball. And Peter was such a feminine type. He would rather read a book or clean the house. Mia might just turn out to be his buddy as well as his sex mate. He hoped so.

But right now he just had to sell the deal and get her to agree to come be their sub. He looked over at Peter beside him in the front seat and thought just how much he loved him. With his sandy-blond hair and soft, gentle features, people often commented how much he looked like Brad Pitt. Although, when he looked into his eyes, he could see a depth of pain and hurt there that made him weep sometimes. Over the time Peter had been with them, though, he could see more confidence building in him and the look of pain diminishing. Dylan, his Master, helped in that. He treated Peter and himself as any good Dom should. He showed them respect for the trust that they had given him. He was sometimes hard on them, which was what they wanted and needed. But he was always fair and took into consideration their individual personalities.

Being a Dom, as he knew, wasn’t just about ordering one’s subs and slaves around. It was a huge responsibility to care for them as human beings, both physically and emotionally. Dylan was a great Dom and was well respected in the lifestyle as being both fair and reasonable. He could Dom it up like the rest of them, but he was the first to step in if a scene was getting out of hand. With his six-feet-three-height and his Johnny Depp looks, he was an intimidating sight when angry. He was also the most conservative dresser he knew. Nobody nowadays ordered custom-made English suits. God, the man only wore jeans when they needed to work around the yard. On the other hand, he loved the feel of soft chinos or jeans and loose casual shirts. He loved nothing better than a session at the gym followed by a beer and a football game on television. He also had a passion for shopping, which was a little strange, or so Dylan said. Dylan wouldn’t be caught dead in a store. He ordered all his stuff via the computer.

Peter, on the other hand, could sometimes feel intimidated by bossy sales assistants. He had the stores he loved and seemed to always buy his stuff there. Peter loved the hair salon, though, and had his hair styled and a facial every few weeks. Peter’s standard of personal grooming bordered on obsessive sometimes. He was a crappy cook, though. In fact, they all were, so they tended to eat out a lot. He again looked over at Peter, who seemed was lost in thought, and wondered impatiently what was taking Dylan and Mia so long.

Chapter Five

Mia tried to hold onto her panic. Her hands were sweating, and she could feel her heart beating faster with each step. She so didn’t want to have a panic attack here. She’d only ever had two panic attacks in her life, and, personally, it was two too many. The stupid movie directors portrayed woman fainting clean away because they couldn’t handle a situation. Well how wrong were they. A true panic attack was not pretty, and there was no fainting. For her, it always ended with her throwing up and shaking violently. Uncontrollable and messy was her best description. I can handle this. I can handle this. I can handle this, she chanted to herself like a mantra
.

They approached the tent, and a police officer asked them who they were. After explaining that she was one of the tenants, he led them to another tent next door. A kind officer explained that the building was too dangerous to let anyone inside, and most likely it would have to be demolished. He explained that her apartment on the fourth floor was totaled and everything destroyed. So far, they couldn’t tell the cause of the fire, and as there were over twenty apartments in the building, it would take quite some time to sort out the mess and find the cause. Thankfully, no one had been killed. Her apartment was in a good, cheap end of town, and nearly all the occupants worked during the day. It was an old building, and she could understand why it had gone up so quickly. It was probably an accident waiting to happen. After she thanked the officer, she stood on the edge of the street just looking at the building. It was a morbid, macabre burnt shell of what it once was. A small group of her neighbors stood around crying. Well, at least she thought they might be her neighbors. She’d never actually taken the time to meet any of them.

There were no more tears for her to cry. She just felt tired and hollow, lost without a sense of direction. She guessed it was the shock.

“It’s okay, little Mia. You don’t have to worry about anything anymore. Let’s get you home,” Dylan said reassuringly.

What a novel idea, home. She was looking at her home. It struck her then that he meant his home. She sighed and turned to face him. She didn’t have anywhere else to go, and she knew her three bosses well, and they wouldn’t hurt her. Hey, if she admitted the truth to herself, she wished they would take her home to have their way with her. Actually, right now the idea of having mindless, unemotional sex sounded just the antidote to her situation. She wouldn’t be able to think about what the hell she was supposed to do next. “Okay.”

Dylan watched as Mia sighed in defeat and accepted his offer. It had torn his heart out seeing her go through the trauma of finding all her worldly possessions gone. It brought out all his primal protective instincts. He wanted to hit her over the head and carry her back to his cave. He felt so useless and impotent standing by her side. He didn’t have the authority to take charge of her. She wasn’t his sub. She was just his receptionist. It annoyed him more that it should. He wanted control over her. She was his, just as Mathew and Peter were his. Mia had been his since the day she’d started working for them. He would never forget the first time he had commanded her to complete his orders. He’d been worried that his autocratic tone would upset her, but she responded like a true submissive and did as he asked. His inner Dom roared in approval. He had been planning to bring her into their lives. She would give them the feminine touch they were missing.

Then she up and betrayed him with that prick, Jake. He wasn’t truly angry at her for being with him. It wasn’t like he had announced his claim on her. It was his fault. He had waited too long. He wanted to get Peter sorted out and Mathew on board before he captured her. And in the months he’d waited, she fell for that idiot. He let her go after that. He may have been many things but homewrecker wasn’t one of them. Now, though, their little Mia was free and clear. She also now needed a place to stay. He would leave her be for now and just give her the comfort and support she needed. Then he would tie her down and ensure she could never leave. Just the thought of her kneeling at his feet and calling him Master made his cock so hard his zipper pinched and crushed him. Raising his hand to Mia’s elbow, he turned her round and headed back to the car and on to the next chapter of their lives.

They rode home in silence, and it occurred to Mia that she should say something, but her heavy heart sapped all her strength. She just wanted to sleep and forget this horrible day. They turned into the driveway, and there was the house. God, it was beautiful. It always took her breath away. It was built into the hillside overlooking the valley. The house was an imposing sight, and yet it seamlessly slipped into the landscape as though it had always been there. One entire side was made of glass. She knew from being there before that those windows looked out over the valley, allowing the outside in. It was just stunning. Mathew stopped the car at the front entry to allow everyone to go in through the front door instead of driving round to the garage. She knew he did it for her benefit, and she appreciated it. Peter opened the door and allowed her to enter first.

The furnishings, just like the house itself, suited its male occupants. With its heavy wood units and leather sofas, the living room furnishings really complemented the mostly glass-and-steel construction of the house. She had never really liked pink and frilly things. Those dolls that some women collected freaked her out. She couldn’t get past their creepy little faces. However, she felt their home lacked the little knickknacks and the beauty of fresh flowers to give that welcoming and lived-in comfy feel. What was she thinking? She was just staying here tonight, not for the rest of her life.

“Peter, go get one of my shirts and boxers so Mia can have a shower and clean up,” Dylan commanded Peter, who ran off to do his bidding.

“Mia, darling, let me show you to the guest room downstairs. It has its own bath, so you’ll have privacy.”

He took her arm and led her down a short hall to the room, which was massive. She was operating on autopilot, her body and mind not connected to each other. She didn’t respond to Dylan turning on the shower and warming it for her. Only as the bathroom door clicked shut did her brain kick into gear. She stripped, leaving her clothes on the bathroom floor, and stepped into the hot shower. Her muscles started to relax, and the stress slowly washed away. Using the soap, shampoo, and conditioner she’d found in the shower, she scrubbed the grime of the day off her body. She then wrapped herself in the largest fluffy white towel she’d seen outside a five-star hotel. She searched the bathroom cabinet and found a brand new toothbrush and toothpaste. They obviously catered for guests who forgot the most basic essentials.

Her eyes burned with unshed tears at the thought that she didn’t even have the most basic essentials anymore either. Sniffling, she pulled herself together. She could survive anything. This was just another challenge. After cleaning her teeth, she felt brand-new, and thanks to the clothes left out on the bed in her room, she even felt covered and comfortable. The shirt fell to mid-thigh, the armholes at her elbows, but she was thankful for the comfort. Breathing in, she could smell the faint scent of Dylan, and a sense of warmth and safety washed over her. She was not alone. They would help her. Not that they had to, or even needed to, but she instinctively knew they would. Some day she would repay them for their kindness in helping her out.

Dylan found Mathew and Peter in their bathroom, both of them stripping for a shower. Even with Mia in the house and knowing she was so close, he still desired his boys. He knew he always would. He loved Mia’s soft curves, but he also loved his boys’ hardness.
