“Lean back, honey. Rest your weight on your hands behind you.”

She did as he commanded. The stone was smooth beneath her palms, a testament to how many couples had come this way before.

Then he lifted one of her legs and bent it, perching her foot on the tray to spread her wider and allow deeper access. He feathered a light kiss over her lips. “Hold on the best you can. You’ve been tempting me for the past hour, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to be gentle now.”

If she’d tempted him, it was his fault. But she kept that thought to herself. His declaration was a soothing song after a hectic day.

He didn’t wait for a response anyway. He braced one hand on the tray next to her hip and wrapped the other arm around her torso. He rocked in and out a few times, testing his range, and then he hammered her hard. She met every thrust, pushing against him in a harsh collision every time just so he didn’t move her back with the force of his passion.

In seconds, she shouted her release, but she knew better than to give in and enjoy it fully. He was far from finished, and if she abandoned her obligation to stay in one place, it would interfere with his pleasure. The guilt that would gnaw at her would take forever to assuage.

The hand he had placed on the tray found its way to her breasts, plucking and lightly pinching her nipples. With the other hand, he pulled her closer, sealing her stomach to his, and he picked up the pace.

The stars shone brightly, splashes of pale color in the vast blackness. They faded to pinpricks as all semblance of control left her body. Her legs and arms went numb. As always, he caught her as she fell, holding her close for those last two thrusts that sent them both into the stratosphere.

She let herself float along for as long as she could. When she came back to Earth, she found herself shivering uncontrollably in his arms despite the warmth of the night.

“Honey?” Jonas withdrew and held her back a little. He perused her body with a quick scan, but he didn’t appear to be worried.

“I’m okay. That was intense.” Her teeth chattered, stuttering her words.

He helped her down from the stone tray and fixed her clothes before attending to his shorts. “We’ll go back to the room. Can you walk?”

It was slow going, due in no small amount to her sore pussy, but they made good time. As he unlocked the door, she caught the decidedly cocky slant to his mouth. He was proud of the depth of her reaction.

“Were you hoping I couldn’t walk?”

He chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. We have a few days. There’s time for that.” He tugged her hand, urging her into the room. “We’ll go hang out in the hot tub for a little while, and then I’ll put you to bed.”

Chapter Four

She woke the next morning with her head still pillowed on his chest. The last time this had happened was before the kids were born. Usually she woke up alone or to the sound of a baby calling. Jonas tended to wake up before everyone else. Sometimes he would have sex with her—whether or not she completely woke up—before he started his day.

A glance up showed that she’d indeed awoken first. His lashes curved against his cheeks, and his breathing was slow and even. Since she almost never had the chance to study him when he wasn’t aware of her perusal, she took this opportunity. He’d definitely aged well. Forty was just around the corner for him, a mere two months away, yet he remained easily one of the most handsome men she’d ever encountered. At rest, she could admire his high cheekbones, the strong lines of his jaw, the slight arch of his brows, and his firm lips.

He’d developed some light lines around his mouth and eyes, side effects of his almost constant smile. Even when he wasn’t smiling, he still had a twinkle in his eyes that hinted at his vast well of internal happiness. Sabrina liked to think she’d given that to him.

He kept his long, lithe body in shape by spending time in the weight room he’d installed in the basement and from their activities in the pool house dungeon. Though he flogged her only a few times each month, he put in time with a practice dummy to keep his aim and technique true.

She looked at her arm, bent across his chest, and reflected that she could use some time in the weight room as well. Though she swam regularly, her workouts weren’t as punishing or as frequent as they used to be, and she found herself struggling just to maintain her current weight. This wasn’t an issue she’d ever anticipated having. It seemed the hormonal changes wrought by having children had tampered with her body chemistry. Her metabolism had slowed drastically. Now when her sister brought over award-winning confections, Sabrina often turned down her portion.

Jonas didn’t seem to mind the added padding. He honestly delighted in her new curves. That was fine for when they were alone, but she couldn’t seem to come to terms with showing her body in public anymore. When they’d first married, she and Jonas had traveled the world, visiting sex clubs where she was often naked or very scantily clothed. Her husband was an exhibitionist. It came with the territory.

Now she didn’t mind performing with people watching as long as she could remain at least partially covered. Last night he hadn’t pushed the issue. He’d exposed and played with her breasts in public, but he had kept the rest of her problem areas covered. When he’d taken her on that stone serving tray, the deep shadows of evening had obscured most of what he’d exposed. She wasn’t sure who, if anyone, had watched them, but she was certain they hadn’t seen much. The skirt of her dress had ended up bunched around her waist, but the sides hung down enough to hide the stretch marks on her thighs.

Beneath her, Jonas shifted. The muscles in the arm under her tightened. He pulled her closer as he rolled toward her. Now her head rested on his arm and his body pressed along the length of hers. His cock stirred against her stomach, and his hand moved over her hip.

Even though he didn’t open his eyes, she knew he was awake. “Good morning.”

He hooked his hand around the back of her knee and brought her leg up to drape over his hip. Then he reached around and lined up the head of his cock with her opening.

She’d still been moist when he’d put her to bed the night before, but now her body responded enthusiastically. Before he’d made it an inch, heated cream rushed to her pussy, easing the way. He slid home.

He thrust lightly, teasing her with a languorous rhythm. She hitched her leg up higher to give him more access. He opened his eyes at long last, revealing the topaz depths of his desire. Then he rolled her onto her back, pushed her legs up and apart as far as they would go, and pounded into her.

The deep thrusts touched her core, hitting that sweet spot just right each time. She tried to lift her hips, but he held her legs down with his weight, so the movement was futile. The delicious helplessness of her position raised the stakes.

Her climax built slow and crashed fast, triggered by hot jets of his semen. He collapsed on top of her, the thud of his heart beating against her chest. She held him in her arms, taking the opportunity to run her fingers through his blond, curly hair and to explore the hard lines of his back and shoulders.

When his heartbeat returned to normal, he rolled away. She inhaled deeply, replenishing her starved lungs. He wasn’t too heavy, but she couldn’t breathe normally with all his weight resting on top of her.

They lay there in silence, listening to the sounds of the ocean breeze and enjoying the quiet peace that followed their interlude, until her stomach growled. She hadn’t eaten a full meal the night before. “How about a quick shower and we go get some breakfast?”

“We have a fully stocked kitchenette. I’ll make breakfast.” He sat up. “I’ll take a quick shower first. You can take your time. We’ll eat on the balcony.”

That sounded much more intimate and romantic than her suggestion. She smiled and nodded.

* * * *

Jonas added sugar to the pineapple chunks simmering in the pan. He wasn’t sure Sabrina liked pineapple too much. He’d seen her eat it, but she’d never gone out of her way to ask for it. At home when he made toppings for pancakes, he stuck to blueberries or strawberries, fruits he knew both Sabrina and Rose liked.

He tamped down a small pang as he thought of Rose. He missed his kids. Last night, he’d successfully kept Sabrina’s mind off them. He wouldn’t be so lucky today. The water sounds from the bathroom ceased, signaling that he had about five minutes before his lovely wife appeared. He opened up the laptop he’d brought and dialed his mother’s Skype account. By the time Sabrina appeared, he had Rose onscreen. His mother sat behind her with Ethan on her lap.

Sabrina appeared wearing a wraparound peach dress that draped over her curves nicely. It fell to just above her knees. He wanted to unwrap her and feed her slow bites of breakfast from his fork.

He settled for something tame, as befit the moment. “Honey, come say good morning to Rose and Ethan.”

Her face brightened, and she joined him at the table. They talked for a few minutes. Rose reiterated everything she’d done in the past day. Ethan squealed, his big brown eyes widening with excitement, and tried to come through the screen.

By the time they signed off, Sabrina seemed to have relaxed a little. As they ate a leisurely breakfast on the balcony, he observed that she was still wound tight. Being high strung meant she was successful in nearly everything she did, but it also meant she had issues with letting go. He didn’t mind forcing her. It turned them both on.

“So I was thinking.” He let his beginning drift between them, a warning of things to come.

She set her empty plate on the small glass top of the table next to her chair. Her gaze remained on the horizon. “Was it painful?”

He grinned. “It might be, but not for me.”

Her focus moved closer. Now she played with the hem of her dress. Her anxiety betrayed her interest. “You want to visit the Fields of Punishment?”

They’d get there eventually. “I want your submission.”

Her eyebrows knit in confusion, and she looked up at him. “You get that all the time.”

Technically her statement was true. Whenever he initiated sex, she submitted to him. Even when she seduced him, she submitted to him. Before and after a scene, she didn’t show a hint of submissiveness. He had a hunch that it cost her a lot to always show her strong, independent side, especially as life became more complicated and busy.

He wanted to show her that she didn’t have to shoulder anything alone. He was more than willing to support her. Part of his reasoning for choosing to honeymoon at Elysium was to give her a safe place to explore that side of her nature. Perhaps if he hadn’t felt the urgency of his age and let it drive his need to have children so quickly, they might have had the opportunity to travel this path earlier. He didn’t regret the decisions they’d made, but it was high time for Sabrina to understand and accept the true depths of her submissive nature.

“Outside of a scene.”

Wheels turned behind her eyes with amazing speed. She scowled at him. “You want me to kneel at your feet and call you ‘Master.’”

He lifted his brows. “You can call me all the things you usually call me.”

From the expression on her face, he had a hunch he didn’t want to know what kinds of names she was currently considering. She leaned toward him. “I’m not kneeling outside of a scene.”

He could handle that, mostly because he was proposing an extended scene. “Okay.”

“I’m not going to ask your permission to do things. Well, not outside the normal realm of good manners. I’m not into the slavery thing.”

In the past few years, she’d had more than a few glimpses into the world of sexual slavery. His best friend and her husband had opened up. When the kids were away and the adults got together, Ellen and Ryan frequently appeared in their preferred roles. Ryan very much enjoyed serving his Mistress. And his youngest sister lived with two Doms. Though they toned it down, they didn’t completely drop protocol when Sabrina and Jonas visited. It had been a little uncomfortable at first to see his sister in that role, but she was blissfully happy, so he accepted it.

Sabrina thought it was demeaning to women, though she didn’t seem to have an issue with Ryan in the same position.

Jonas knew that kind of life didn’t appeal to Sabrina. It came as a relief because it didn’t appeal to him either.

Submission was another thing altogether. He was wired to be Dominant. While he loved and admired her strength, he didn’t like the toll it had taken on her in recent years.

“Yes, you will. While we’re here, you will ask before you do anything. You won’t be my slave, but you will defer to me in all things.” He braced himself to face her wrath. While she’d improved in her ability to express anger, she still kept a lot bottled up inside. When she got mad, she tended to sputter, and she hated sounding anything but smooth.

The sharp inhale of breath indicating she was struggling to keep it together never came. She stood and rested her hands on the railing. “You mean I won’t get a say in anything? I don’t get to have an opinion?”

That she was considering his proposal so seriously spoke volumes about what she really wanted. Losing that much control would be very difficult for her. She liked when he overpowered her in bed, but she hadn’t yet submitted to him in any other way.

“You will be given the opportunity to voice your opinion. I’ll take it into consideration. Then I will make the final decision.”
