“Why would I ever use being gay against someone? Even my father.”

“I hope you can forgive me for not telling you as soon as I found out. I wasn't sure if you'd want to know.”

I wiped the tears off my face. “I don't think I was ready to hear or accept this before now. But I needed to.”

He gave my shoulder a pat and crossed the room.

“Walter?”

He stopped by the door and faced me.

“Could you check into someone named Danny Conner?”

“Yeah. What am I looking for?”

“He went to college with my father. They were friends. Or maybe they were more. I don't know for sure. But Conner died of a drug overdose the day before their graduation.”

“You think your father had something to do with it?” Walter asked.

“I think my father gave him the cocaine that night.”

Richard stood taller. His body stiffened.

Walter shook his head. “Why?”

“Maybe Conner was going to out my father. So he gave him some bad shit to shut him up.”

Richard stepped closer to the desk. “How did you find this out?”

“A reporter called me, hinting that my father had something in his past he was hiding. I started checking into it.”

“Of course he has something to hide,” Walter said. “He's gay, and he's paying for sex.”

“Maybe it's more than that.” Was it? Was I seeing what I wanted to?

Richard leaned over the desk, his palms flat on the surface. “This isn't something you should be digging into.”

“Why? If he killed Conner, I need to know. Everyone needs to know.”

“I'll look into it,” Walter said. “How do you know he had the drugs that night?”

“His friend gave me a picture that was taken three hours before Conner died. Conner's watch with the coke was in my father's pocket.”

“Okay. Let me see what I can find out.”

“Thanks, Walter.” I closed my eyes as Richard and Matthew said their good-byes and walked him to the door.

The truth hit me again, slamming into me as my head hit the chair behind me.

Warm hands tugged me out of the office chair. My head landed on Richard's chest. Matthew snuggled in beside me, his arm around my waist.

“I can't believe I never saw it. I should have. His hatred of me... it was too specific, too personal, even if I was his son. There was more there, and I didn't want to see it. I wanted to keep my distance, keep him from feeling at ease about me. I never wanted to give him anything to use against me. If I had no one, nothing important in my life, he couldn't take anything else from me. Now he's hurting you.”

“He's not taking me from you,” Richard said. “He'll hurt himself by asking too many people to intervene in my business. Eventually it'll get out what he's been doing. I have plenty of money. Plenty of contacts who know me. Let him play his games. In the end, we'll be the ones who come out with our dignity and self-respect intact.”

When I didn't speak, Richard pulled back. “Luke?”

“I knew he'd never leave us alone. Walter suggested I go to the press, turn him in for making the threats against us. That doesn't sit right with me. It'll anger him more.”

Matthew's arm tightened around me. “I don't want to see him when he's angrier than tonight.”

“I'm sorry I didn't tell you about him. I wasn't sure you'd want me to stay, knowing who he is— knowing what we'll be up against.”

Matthew kissed me. “I don't care who he is. You're deserving of his love, and he threw you aside. Well, you're ours now, and we're not giving you up.”

“I wouldn't let myself destroy this; I'm sure as hell not letting him.”

Richard ran his hand up and down my back. “Then stop looking into his past, huh? You think your father had something to do with a man's death, and you poke around. How does that sound like a good idea?”

“I have to know.”

“Walter'll let you know if he finds anything.” Richard held my face. He forced my eyes upon him. “Matthew and I will make it all go away. Let us take care of you.”

I nodded.

They kissed me. Each pressed into my mouth in turn. Their tongues dived in with devotion and determination, with passion and strength. They were giving me more than pleasure of the body. They were feeding me their love.

I let it spread over me like a protective shield— to keep me warm and safe when the storms came.

They removed my clothes and swiped aside everything on the desk. Richard spread me out on my back, giving me a perfect view as they undressed before me.

Richard located some lube and came back to me. He stood between my legs, and his hands spread my thighs apart. Matthew's mouth met mine again. He gave me not a moment's rest from the assault of lips and tongues. He tortured my chest with flicks and sucks and continued down my body, humming and moaning as he adored me with his tongue. I arched off the desk.

The wet heat of Matthew's lips covered my cock as Richard sent a thick finger into me. I moaned, the sound desperate, a little sad. I gripped at the edges of the desk. Richard assaulted me with his fingers until I writhed and begged for more, anxious for him to push in deeper, fill me wider, and for Matthew to take me all the way in his mouth.

Without warning, Richard pulled out. I begged again, pleaded with words they may not have understood. Whatever I said, it made Matthew suck harder, and his mouth took me in farther.

Richard pressed in again. I wasn't sure how much of him was inside me, but he stretched me wide, wider than I'd ever been taken with someone's fingers before.

“More.”

He pushed in and spread my legs apart with his body until my thighs burned with the stretch. I was being split open, sucked dry, and it blasted explosions throughout every nerve. My stomach muscles tightened, and my body propelled forward.

“Stop, Matthew,” Richard said.

Matthew gave no protest. He withdrew his mouth and hands. Richard slipped his fingers out in a slow drag. I groaned and collapsed back onto the desk.

I lifted my head. “No, no. Don't stop.”

Richard held my balls in one hand and squeezed the base of my cock with the other. “Breathe for a minute, Luke. We're gonna make this last. Stretch this out until you can't stand it any longer. Make you come until you're soaring. You'll forget about tonight. Hell, you'll forget where you are.”

“Yes. Want all of you. Inside.” I threw my head back to the desk. I arched up in a desperate appeal for more. I wanted what Richard promised. I needed it. But I couldn't forget who was giving it to me. I met their eyes.

Matthew kissed me. I tasted the faint remnants of my precum in his mouth. “Love you,” he said and kissed me again, filling my mouth with the taste of him and me.

“Matthew,” Richard said, “go get us a couple of towels and the large bottle of lube from the bathroom. In the bottom right drawer.”

Matthew stared at him for a moment, his eyes wide, his mouth hanging open, and then he was gone.

Richard's eyes never left mine. I couldn't look away.

“We really going to do this, Luke?”

“Yes. I need you. All of you.”

Matthew sprinted into the room. He tossed Richard the supplies and stood beside me again. He kissed me once, and then his searing mouth closed over my prick.

Slick fingers entered me until the fullness and stretch of a moment before returned.

“Oh God.” The slow torture compelled me to the edge with ease and care. Richard spread the slick of more lube around the entrance to my body. The pressure spiked as he pushed farther into me.

His voice was tense with desire when he spoke. “Oh, Luke. Are you going to take all of it?”

“Yes! All of you.”

A large hand stroked over my hip, and a small hand rubbed in circles over my stomach. The wet heat of Matthew's mouth continued to suck my cock with abandon, and his tongue scrubbed along my shaft. He knew how to work me over, but he'd never gone at it with such vigor before. Who knew he could get better?

My name on Richard's tongue was all the warning I needed. The pressure of the stretch intensified, and Richard's hand worked in past the widest point.

Then his entire hand was inside me.

The only man I'd ever trusted enough.

I couldn't see it, but there was no doubt of what he'd done— what we were doing.

“Richard.” I wanted him to move, to fuck me with his hand. If we stayed still for one more moment, I might lose my mind. “Richard. I need... anything. Please.”

“Luke.” He was breathless. “Hang on. Matthew and I— we'll take care of you.” If I could have opened my eyes, I was certain I'd have seen tears in his.

His hand moved, and all words were gone. I understood nothing of what they said or what I screamed. I was lost to all things but the two men touching me— inside and out.

I rode the waves of my orgasm far longer than I imagined possible. Matthew swallowed what he could, but even he had to pull off my cock before I finished spurting. He sucked in a deep breath and took me back in his mouth until I went soft. He licked everywhere, tasting all of me.

My body slumped onto the desk, and I was pretty sure I had no clue where I was. But I knew they were there with me.

Matthew patted my stomach. “Oh, man. Luke, he's... all of his hand.”

“Going to pull out now,” Richard said. “Relax.” I tried to follow the instruction, but he sounded far away, and I rolled about in a fog. I heard myself groan, and his hand left me.

He collapsed into the chair behind the desk. I was vaguely aware of Matthew straddling his lap and riding him for what seemed like a few short moments before they both came, grunting each other's names, with my own mixed into their cries.

I wasn't aware of moving from the office upstairs to our bed, but when they snuggled in beside me, I came back to myself and found my voice. The slow drawl of it surprised me. “That was... intense. Thank you.”

“You're welcome,” Richard said. “But I think I should be thanking you. I've never gone that far with anyone before.”

“Me neither.”

“I like that.” His arms tightened around us. “The kid's next.”

Matthew gasped and buried his head in my shoulder. The reaction reminded me of our second night at the Haven when I'd pondered what he'd sound like fucking Richard. I was glad I knew exactly how he sounded buried inside Richard. I was also glad we still had moments to come that could send him into such an overwhelmed state at the mere thought of them.

I'd have vocalized my contemplation, but I couldn't find my voice again, and I didn't care to. I traveled along a current of satiation that wouldn't let me care about much of anything. Not about clubs, parties, or investors. Not about elections, mothers, or fathers.

I only cared about them. The two men who held me between them, with them, in them.

I had Matthew and Richard, and everything else paled in comparison.

Chapter Thirty-five

“Is he home yet?” Richard asked.

“No,” I said. “I thought you were working. Go back to your office.”

“Okay. Holler when he gets home.”

It was the same conversation we'd had five minutes earlier. And a half hour before that.

Richard poked his head around the corner. “Hey, the spaghetti sauce smells good.”

“Thanks.” It came from a jar. Unscrewing the lid hadn't been that hard. It tasted okay. Not like Matthew's homemade, though.

“Don't forget to let me know— ”

“The minute he gets in.”

Richard took off for his office.

I set the plates and silverware on the table. The act of making dinner for them gave me a domestic satisfaction I'd never known in my life. I was happy to fill in for Matthew. I hadn't even gotten pissed when the water boiled over and I caught the towel on fire trying to dry the stove off.

The entire task was a welcome distraction.

After Richard's party, I forced myself to stop thinking about my father or his threats. I didn't want to give him any more power over me than he already had. I had to trust Walter— trust that he'd find something if there was something to find.

And if not?

I wouldn't allow myself to go there.

Whenever my father got around to announcing he'd be running in the election, my life was going to change. Even if my father didn't want to acknowledge me, I was going to be the son of a presidential candidate. A gay son who lived with two men. I couldn't hide from that.

Until then, not thinking about it helped... some. Making spaghetti while Matthew spent the day at a career counseling seminar helped more.

I strained the spaghetti, and it didn't stick. An accomplishment.

The front door opened, and Matthew stepped into the kitchen a moment later. “Hi, Luke.”

“Hey, kid. You better go get— ”

Richard rushed in and hugged Matthew from behind.

“Never mind,” I said with a laugh.

“What did you learn?” Richard asked as I dished out the food.

Matthew took a bite and smiled his approval at me. “This is good.”

“It's just fucking spaghetti,” Richard said. He threw me an apologetic look.

I waved it off. “I want to hear about it too. C'mon, Matthew.”

Matthew ate another bite and set his fork down. “Well, I've been thinking about a degree program for a while now. A man in the field gave a lecture and had a booth setup. It helped me make a decision.” He wiped his mouth with his napkin and sat back in his chair. “I want to go back to school, full time, if I can manage. That way I can be done in two years. I can even start the classes in the summer session. From what I heard today, I should be able to get a loan without much trouble.” He picked up his fork and ate more.

“You'll take the loan from me,” Richard said.

Matthew raised his head. A string of spaghetti hung out the corner of his mouth. He slurped it in. “Are you sure?”

“I'm sure. They'll charge you interest. I won't.”

I hid a smile.

“And don't even ask about paying for this place or anything else,” he added. “I want you to concentrate on school. I can cover what you give to your mom too.”

Matthew dropped his fork. “That's... I can't let you do that.”

“Why?”

“I'm not a child.”

“I never said you were.”
