“I won't,” she sniffled.

“If I ask you a question, you tell me the truth.”

“I will,” she nodded.

“I believe you,” Jay said, kissing her gently. He opened his arms, and she stepped into them, gratefully accepting his comfort.

Chapter Six

“You feeling better?” Jay asked her when she finally pulled back a little and loosened herself from his embrace.

“Yes,” she said nodding. “As a matter of fact, I do, apart from my damaged ass.”

“You'll live,” he said giving her bottom a pat. “Besides, that wasn't a very hard spanking at all.”

“It was plenty hard,” Alex said with a pout. “But I'm brave.”

“Well, good,” Jay said, taking her hand and leading her towards the back door.

“Where're we going?” she asked. Jay had an aura of amusement about him, and she had a bad feeling.

“I told you I have a good idea.”

“Am I going to like this idea?”

“I hope so,” he said. “At least, I'm sure you'll learn to like it.”

A few seconds later, Alex found herself being tugged towards the pool. She stopped dead and pulled her hand back, planting her feet firmly on the ground.

“I don't have a bikini,” she said, trying to keep the panic out of her voice.

Jay stopped right in front of her. “I thought it might be fun to go skinny dipping,” he said.

“Naked?” Alex asked.

“Yeah, why not. It'll be fun,” he said with a smile. “I'm game, if you are. No pressure, but it wouldn't hurt to have some fun, would it?”

Alex smiled calmly, but her mind was racing. Fun? Oh yeah, swimming in the buff with a hot guy that was your sort-of-boyfriend, that could be fun. The butterflies in her tummy swarmed in agreement. She wasn't totally sold on getting naked
before
she was in the water, though she wasn't about to tell Jay that. What the hell, she thought. You only live once. She took the hand that was held out to her and crossed through the open pool gate in front of Jay.

Alex watched as Jay slipped his clothes off with a sense of unabashed ease. Well, why wouldn't he, she thought. He was
fine
. She longed to just fall against him and run her hands all over his tight, tanned body. Thank God there was a moon. Oh God, there was a moon! The fact that Jay could be seen clearly, more than clearly, meant that so would she. That moon, with its soft light that accentuated the tight muscles of Jay's sculpted body, would be the same soft light that would accentuate every ounce of cellulite on her own body. As if he could read her rebellious mind, Jay stepped closer to her, and his cologne swirled around her, fogging her senses.

“Your turn,” he said. He turned her gently and slid down the zipper at the back of her dress.

“Thanks,” she said nervously. His fingers brushed across her lower back, making her shiver. She was grateful that she was no longer wearing any underwear under her dress. If she had to get naked in the moonlight, at least this would be quick, and she could jump in the water where there would be more touch and feel than look and see.

“You're nervous,” Jay said. He had to try really hard to not to let his own show. His fingers brushed across the warm skin of her back, and as he felt her shiver with pleasure his own erection sprung to life. It was all he could do to not rip the dress from her back, but he took his time, giving her time to relax.

“A little,” Alex whispered. The fact was she was more embarrassed than scared. She sighed as he slid each strap down her shoulders one at a time, taking the time to savor the baring of her creamy skin. He kissed the light sprinkling of freckles across both shoulders, and excitement tingled down her bare back as the dress dropped to the ground. Jay's fingers danced down the center of her back until they reached her warm bottom. Her arousal almost wiped out her worry about being totally naked outside. Almost. “Hey!” Alex said with a grin. “I thought we were going for a swim!” She broke away and jumped in the pool, leaving him looking after her with a look of wry amusement.

Her eyes widened, and she swam away from the edge as Jay came after her. A large splash and he disappeared into the water. Her head spun around in every direction searching for him, but she felt him before he came into view. His hands tickled her tummy until she was writhing around, squealing.

“Jay!” she yelled making a half-hearted effort to push him away.

His head bobbed up beside hers, and he kissed her. “You don't want me to touch you?” he asked.

“I didn't say that,” she said. This time she was the aggressor, and her mouth found his. Her tongue swirled around his as his hands once again went to work. No tickling this time though. His fingers kneaded her bottom, his own tongue dancing with hers as he pulled her body close to his.

“Now, isn't this fun?” he asked with a grin.

Alex grinned. “A little,” she giggled. “It has cooled my ass.”

“Really. I might have to fix that,” Jay chuckled before disappearing under the water.

She blew out a breath as those punishing fingers released her freshly spanked cheeks. It had hurt, but the sensation wasn't exactly unpleasant. “Ohh,” she found her herself groaning. His mouth was on her breast, and he was sucking hard, sending frissons of electricity through her body to her aching pussy.

Jay popped up beside her again. “You like?” he growled into her ear.

“Ahh, yeah,” she said with a shiver.

“You know, I didn't mean we'd skinny dip in here,” Jay said pointing to the hot tub area of the pool.

“No? I just assumed, you know, skinny dipping, water, pool,” she stuttered out between chattering teeth. She just hadn't had time to think of it before. She'd panicked at the thought of losing her clothes in front of Jay and had reacted without thinking.

“You're shivering,” Jay said pointing to the hot tub attached to the pool. “That part's heated remember?”

“I'm okay,” she lied. It was true that the hot tub was attached to the pool, but she would have to get out and parade around the pool in front of Jay to get to it. The stupid thing may as well be on the moon for all the good it was.

Jay frowned. “You're still shy?”

“I'm trying here,” she said. “You have to give me some time.”

“Of course, but I'm not going to let you sit in the cold water and shiver because you’re timid,” he said. He took her hand and swam slowly towards the edge, and there was nothing she could do but wade after him.

When they got to the stairs and started to climb them she balked. “It's a little warmer over here,” she tried. There was no way she was getting out of that water.

“Get in the warmer water,” he said with exasperation. “You're going to get sick.”

“I…” she said, desperately trying to find an out.

Jay shook his head. “That does it,” he said. He bent down, grabbed her by the waist and hoisted her over his shoulder, giving the wriggling target a sharp pat.

“Stop that!” she said pounding his back with her fists and fighting to get free. She
did
get a little distracted by the close up view of his own wet and very muscular ass, but too soon she found herself immersed again in the water, only this time it was warm and bubbly.

“Ahh,” she breathed with rapture. Despite the renewed sting in her bottom, she couldn't help but react to the soothing water and the closeness of Jay's body.

“Better?” he asked.

“Yeah,” she said. “This is nice.”

Jay pulled her onto his lap. “It can get nicer,” he said, kissing her deeply.

Alex's mouth opened, but all that escaped was a deep moan as Jay worked his fingers between her legs.

“Don't stop,” Alex was surprised to hear herself saying when Jay eventually withdrew his hand.

“Shh,” he said. “I have something better in mind. Lean over the edge.”

“I don't think I want to,” Alex giggled.

“Trust me, you do,” Jay said with a grin.

Reluctantly and without taking her eyes off Jay, Alex bent over the side of the pool offering her bottom. Albeit a little reluctantly. She waited for the first spank, but it didn't come right away. Jay's warm hands massaged her neck and shoulders and worked their way down her back until he got to her bottom where he rubbed and patted and massaged, spreading her cheeks a little to explore. When his hand landed on her right cheek, she sighed. It stung a little, but she rocked her bottom, urging him to spank faster.

“Jay, please,” she begged. He seemed to be taking so long between spanks that she couldn't stand it.

“You want more?” Jay asked, responding with firmer and faster spanks.

“Yes,” Alex panted. “More.” She moaned as his other hand slipped beneath her and flicked at her swollen clit. She squirmed against his hand.

“More what?” Jay said huskily into her ear while his hand bounced off each cheek.

“More everything.”

“That's it, baby,” he whispered. “Let go. Enjoy it.” With each smack he could feel her getting closer.

“I want you.”

“You sure?” he asked.

“Please,” Alex begged.

She cried out when his engorged cock slipped inside her, slamming against her reddened ass. Her hips rotated, seemingly of their own accord, her breathing quickened almost to a rhythmic pant as he met her pace and then some.

When her body began to shudder and her muscles clamped around him, Jay clung to her, savoring those last couple of moments. He sucked and nibbled her back, neck, and shoulders anywhere he could as she thrashed around underneath him. With one final thrust, and a primal grunt, he came. Alex collapsed back against him, and taking her with him, he floated back into the warm bubbling water.

“Wow,” Alex said, recovering her voice finally.

“Yeah wow,” Jay agreed.

“That was something,” Alex giggled nervously.

“It sure was,” Jay said. “There was a slight oversight though. I'm sorry, I didn't plan that. I got a little carried away.”

“I'm taking birth control,” Alex admitted. “Not that I thought that I'd need it or anything, well not for sex, I mean I, needed it for other reasons.”

“Relax,” Jay said, pulling her back against him. “It isn't wrong for a woman to protect herself. Whatever the reason.”

Alex smiled. “I know.”

“You know we never did have our coffee,” Jay said. “How about I make us a fresh pot.”

Alex nodded. “That'd be good,” she said.

Do you think I could borrow some something to wear?” Alex asked as they got inside. “This dress really isn't very comfortable.”

“Sure,” Jay said. “Up the stairs. Last door on your left. Help yourself while I make the coffee.”

“Thanks,” she said with a smile.

“There's clean towels in the bathroom if you want to take a shower,” he called out as an afterthought.

When she got upstairs Alex found Jay's room easily. His bed was big and made with another handmade quilt. It was truly beautiful. How sweet, she thought, that he made his bed and so perfectly. She hardly ever bothered unless it was the day she washed the sheets. What was the point? You were only going to mess it up again anyway. She opened one of the chests of drawers and found them just as neat. She winced. He was going to get a surprise if he stayed at her house. She snagged a t-shirt off a neat pile in one of the drawers and then a pair of stretch boxers from another and stepped into the bathroom to change.

“You look cute,” Jay said when Alex padded into the room in his overly large clothes. “Will you stay tonight?”

“I hadn't thought of that,” she said. Her sister
was
next door, but then staying would mean her boys would know she'd been out all night. “I could stay till the early hours and then go home before the boys got up.”

“Sounds like a plan,” he said. “It'll give you a chance to tell me what you think about this room.”

“Oh, I'd love to do that,” she said. He handed her a mug of coffee, and she walked around the room pointing out what she saw as flaws and showing him the best way to let the light into the room. He was nodding and agreeing with everything she said, pleased that she seemed to be so knowledgeable in the subject.

Alex pulled open one of the heavy dark drapes from a window that faced her side of the house. There was an automatic light on above the garage, so as she pulled the material back the light flooded in. “See, in the daylight this would flood the room with light.”

Jay frowned.

“You don't like the idea?” Alex asked.

“It's not that,” Jay said, suddenly opening the window and sticking his head out for a closer look at whatever it was that caught his attention. “What happened to your roof?” he asked

“Um, I don't know. A tree branch or something maybe?” Well, that was dumb. She didn't even believe herself. Still, she couldn't really go back on it now.

“It must have been a pretty big branch,” he said.

“Yeah. A really big branch.”

“When did this happen?”

“Sometime in the afternoon.” Alex chewed the side of her lip and then took a big gulp of her coffee.

“After I put the ladder away?” Jay asked, his eyes not leaving hers for a second.

“I guess,” she said. “You make a good cup of coffee,” she said, lamely trying to change the subject.

“That's interesting,” Jay said taking her coffee from her and putting it down on the table. He towed her back over to the window and pointed to the sky in several different directions. “Where do you think the branch came from?”

“Uh… a tree?”

“Nope,” he said. “A tree that had branches that big would be a pretty big tree. No big tree like that anywhere I can see.” His eyebrow raised, and he fixed Alex with a stern glare, daring her to tell just one more lie.

“Would you believe that a big wind maybe blew it from someone else's backyard?” Obviously a brisk swim and good sex was good for her nervous system, because she was so relaxed she almost giggled. Apparently it wasn't so good for her common sense or her ability to see trouble coming.

“No, I wouldn't,” he said. “I suggest you tell me the truth before you make it any worse. As it is, you're about to find out how deadly serious I am about lying.”
