It meant teeth—no fangs, Tony did have
some
self-control—and nips, a battle of tongues and grappling at each other. Tony was aware of Augustin trying to roll him over. As if Tony was going to allow that. As wily as Augustin was, he’d probably already ripped a piece of wood off the headboard and was preparing to stake Tony.

Except, Augustin was into the kiss, totally into it. Tony straddled his hips and felt the bulge of Augustin’s erection through the blankets. He liked the softness of the man’s body, the give of his belly and the smooth warmth of his skin.

Tony fisted a hand in Augustin’s hair and pulled until Augustin arched his neck.

“Ow, ow, ow,” Augustin groused. “Let me go!”

Tony did, but he licked a sweet path down from Augustin’s mouth to the middle of his neck before Augustin shrieked and tried throwing him off.

“No! No biting! What the fuck is wrong with you?” Augustin shouted.

Tony wasn’t biting. In fact, his intention had been to prove that he wasn’t going to attack Augustin… Well, not in a way Augustin didn’t want him to. That erect dick was telling Tony that Augustin was interested in some kind of body to body contact.

“Don’t—oh God,” Augustin drawled when Tony skimmed down to lap at a nipple.

Tony paused in case Augustin was saying no to everything. He wouldn’t force himself on anyone.

Augustin grabbed him by the ears. “Don’t stop! What’s wrong with you?”

Tony snorted and lapped at Augustin’s tit again.

“Ohmygawwwwd!” Augustin rutted against him. “Wait, I can’t—you’re dead—”

“That stupid line again,” Tony said, teasing at Augustin’s nipple as he spoke. “Do I feel dead?” he asked in a louder voice since Augustin was panting rather loudly. “Did I taste dead when I took your mouth?”

In retrospect, that might have been phrased badly.

Augustin hissed and started shoving at him. “You
took
my mouth? Seriously? My mouth is right here still and—”

Tony shot up the little bit he needed to and crushed his mouth to Augustin’s. Yes, he had definitely found a great way to cut off those razor-sharp words.

And he was feeling pretty damned proud of himself—not to mention so turned on his balls ached—when Augustin gave a full-body heave and sent him over onto his back.

Tony scrambled to get up and Augustin proved surprisingly fast as he threw a leg over Tony’s. At the same time, he caged Tony in place with his arms.

Tony could have gotten up, had he tried, but Augustin with that fiery expression and lust all but dripping from him was kind of captivating. Plus, there were no stakes involved.

Augustin had them both tangled in the bedcovers. Tony was able to raise his hands and touch the patch of fuzz on Augustin’s chest.

“You better have Listerine or Scope,” Augustin grumbled. “Kissing a dead guy. What the hell is wrong with me?”

“I’m not dead like a freakin’ zombie,” Tony said with more patience than he had thought he could muster. “And you haven’t kissed me yet.”

Augustin opened his mouth—Tony could see the argument coming. What he got was a question instead. “Zombies are real?”

He nodded slightly, wary of Augustin’s reaction.

It was kind of predictable—the same way Tony had reacted when he’d found out about the existence of the true living dead. There weren’t many of them, and they weren’t big on human brains, but they did exist.

Augustin blanched, looking horrified. “Ew. That’s— Maybe vampires aren’t as dead as zombies, but I still want mouthwash.”

Tony wanted another kiss. “I’m not dead. You can… You can kiss me.”

“I shouldn’t, because you sure as hell aren’t alive, either.” Augustin’s gaze darted to Tony’s lips. “Then again, my last boyfriend was a living, breathing, heaping pile of shit, and I
have
already had my tongue in your mouth…”

All sound reasoning to Tony, and apparently to Augustin, too, because he finally closed the distance between them and kissed Tony with a flood of need that threatened to turn him inside out.

Yet it didn’t surprise him when Augustin ended the kiss after a few seconds.

Augustin sat up and wiped his mouth. “The hell is wrong with me? I have Stockholm syndrome, that’s what it is. Or it’s that vampire brainwashing voodoo crap.” He glared, an expression Tony was quite familiar with on the guy. “You’re making me want you. I’ve never been kinky at all, and necrophilia—”

Tony surprised himself with the roar he let loose. “I’m not dead!”

“Calm your tits,” Augustin said, “and put your damned fangs away. I swear to God, if I find a fingernail file anywhere around…”

“You’ll stake me with it?” Tony asked, unreasonably hurt by the idea.

Augustin got off him and cursed as he untangled the bedding from his legs. “No, I guess I won’t. You made me nice, asshole.”

Tony didn’t think he’d ever stop laughing over that accusation.

Chapter Nine

Well, he apparently wasn’t going to be devoured, or sucked dry. Augustin shivered a little at that thought, because yeah, he could deal with some sucking, that was for sure.

But Tony had laughed—which had been pretty amazing to see and hear, not that Augustin would ever say so— then left the room shortly thereafter, saying he had things to take care of.

“I am
so
glad he didn’t think he could take care of me. As if,” Augustin huffed. He flopped over onto his stomach. And blinked. “Really? What kind of stupid vampires put their captives in a room with a wooden headboard? I could—” He closed his mouth, but his mind was racing. Tony might be sexy, and kiss like no one else could, and he might have a perfect body and a nice, thick-feeling cock.

He was still a vampire, and he’d helped bring Augustin to wherever the hell he was, against his will.

And here Augustin had been weaving horny little slut-boy fantasies about the oaf. God, he was so screwed up.

“I’m blaming Jim. He was a shitty enough boyfriend to scar anyone for life.” Augustin tapped the headboard. It really was wood. He sat up and examined it closely. The majority of it was a solid piece of wood, smoothed, sanded, varnished. He didn’t think he could peel off a splinter, much less tear off a stake.

But the sides of the headboard had slender pieces of wood on them. If he could free them from the metal framing them in, then find something to sharpen the tips with…

“Considering the morons holding me here, there’s probably an ax and a whetstone in the nightstand. Maybe even a chainsaw.” Augustin opened the top draw and saw nothing but lube. “What the
fuck
do they think’s gonna happen in here? Presumptuous bastards!”

He slammed that drawer shut and opened the bottom one. Augustin’s eyes bulged. “What. The. Fuck?” His dick perked up even as he tried to be indignant. “Who would even—?” He plucked up a thick, silver dildo, still in its package. “King Kong Dong. Well, no shit. Jesus.” It was huge, entirely too big for use, except to maybe bludgeon someone to death with. He opened the package, because
Why not?
The dildo was a little softer than he liked his toys, way bigger than any he had, and it smelled funny.

Augustin brought the thing up to his nose and sniffed. Then a sharp laugh burst from him. “Bananas!” Someone in the sex toy business had a sense of humor.

“How did I know that’d keep you busy?”

Augustin shrieked and flung the dildo.

“Ooph!” Tony caught it…with his stomach. He folded over so fast the toy didn’t even drop to the ground.

“You pervert! That thing could kill a man!” Augustin kicked the drawer shut with his heel.

“W-woman,” Tony panted out. “’S Chelsea’s.”

“Eek!” Augustin shrieked again, this time so loud his own ears rang. “Gross!” Then a worse thought occurred. “I’m in her bed? I’m in her bed! You twisted—”

Tony stood up and pointed the dildo at him. “Don’t even start. This isn’t her room. It’s one of the spare bedrooms. But these are her toys. She ran out of places to store her stuff.”

“Well, at least I know why there’s a goddamn half gallon of lube in the top drawer.” Augustin eyed the dildo. “That thing has got to take a quart to get in anywhere.”

Tony waggled his eyebrows. “Wanna find out?”

Augustin smirked. “Sure, bend over.”

Tony scowled at him. “Pretty sure you’d be the one taking it.”

“Pretty sure?” Augustin parroted. “Dude, I do not want something the length of a walking cane and the width of my thigh shoved up my butt. You, however, are already dead—”

“I am not dead,” Tony growled, and that fierce rumble did all sorts of naughty things to Augustin’s guy bits. “I’m alive and can be killed just like you can.”

“Is that a threat?” Augustin asked, trying his best to growl back. Unfortunately, he sounded like a Chihuahua that’d sucked down some helium.

Tony’s lips twitched.

Augustin leaped forward and reached for the dildo. He’d beat Tony with the damned thing.

“It’s not the size of a cane or your thigh,” Tony said as he fucking well floated up until his crotch was right about face level with Augustin. “Gotta love high ceilings.”

Augustin’s smart-ass retort withered up under the view. He licked his lips, scolded himself with a firm mental
No
and took a step back. “You think I’m that easy?”

Tony laughed. “There’s nothing easy about you, Augustin. Nothing.”

Augustin sniffed. Unfortunately, that got him an enticing snoot-full of Tony’s odor. Spicy and clean, all male, it made Augustin’s insides tingle with need.

He took another step back—and tackled Tony, wrapping his arms around the man’s thighs. They smacked against the wall then bounced down to the floor.

“Why…is…violence…your…preferred…foreplay?” Tony rasped out as they scrambled for holds and who was on top.

“Not foreplay, you ass,” Augustin hissed.

“Is too,” Tony spat back, at the same time cupping Augustin’s dick. He gave it a little jostle.

Augustin yelped, not hurt but damn, he could have been. “That’s not for you!”

“For this?” Tony asked, whacking him on the arm with the dildo.

Augustin didn’t answer. He was already out of breath from the wrestling, and he wanted that damned dildo away from him.

Before he could get a hold of it, Tony tossed the damned thing across the room. It landed with a thud while Tony rolled on top of him.

“Gotcha,” Tony crowed.

Augustin narrowed his eyes.

Tony stopped gloating and started looking nervous.

Chapter Ten

“What mean thing are you thinking about doing to me?” Tony asked, hoping for a verbal answer rather than a physical one.

It was ridiculous to be scared of a human. Tony could overpower him, had done so, hadn’t he? The problem was, Augustin was smart, and Tony…was Tony. He had no false beliefs about his intelligence. He wasn’t a total idiot, but he wasn’t ever going to be a genius, either. Augustin was probably close to being one, or maybe he was a member of Mensa. Whatever, he could outsmart Tony, and that made him dangerous.

If
Tony really believed Augustin would kill him… He didn’t. Not after that kiss, after the heat and fire and need he’d found in the man. Yeah, Augustin might hurt him some, but he wouldn’t stake Tony.

Though Tony’d bet dollars to donuts Augustin would stake Chelsea without hesitation. You just didn’t call a guy a fat ass like she’d done, any more than you’d say such a thing to a woman. It was asking for death, as far as Tony was concerned.

Augustin still had that look in his eyes, and Tony tried really hard not to flinch. Since Augustin still hadn’t answered, either, Tony was getting worried.

And okay, a little scared.

“This is the longest I’ve been around you without you speaking, unless you were unconscious,” Tony said, prodding at the man’s pride.

Augustin’s eyes narrowed just a little more, then he made his move.

It wasn’t what Tony’d been expecting at all.

Augustin grabbed Tony on either side of the head and jerked him down for a rough kiss, one fueled as much by anger as by desire.

Tony went with it. Augustin’s sweet flavor was addictive, and he really liked the man’s body, the soft spots and crinkly hair on his chest. The way Augustin felt like a warm shelter rather than a hard, uncaring man.

Augustin brought to mind safety and comfort, and arms around him in a loving way. Tony whimpered, scooting down until he was all but lying on Augustin. A little shimmy and Tony had his cock aligned with Augustin’s, or as near as he could through their clothing.

This time, Tony was going to blow Augustin’s mind. He kissed Augustin with an enthusiasm he’d never had before. Tony wanted him, wanted to know every erotic hotspot on Augustin’s body, what he sounded like when he was so close to coming he couldn’t hold back, the moans and pleas he’d make, the way he’d look and shake as he came.

And Tony wanted to come, too. He rolled them onto their sides. Augustin didn’t fight him, which was a miracle in itself. Tony ran one hand down Augustin’s side. He hooked his fingers in the waistband of Augustin’s briefs then tugged at them.

Between them, they got the underwear out of the way enough that Tony could palm the long, heavy length of him. It wasn’t enough. Tony had to break the kiss and sit up. “Naked,” he explained when Augustin scowled.

But upon hearing that one word, Augustin’s scowl turned into a sexy little grin. “Naked’s awesome.”

Tony agreed. He stripped off his shirt, shoes and pants.

“No underwear,” Augustin mused. “Jesus, look at your dick!”

Tony did. It was the same dick he’d always had.

Augustin reached for it. “Yeah, well, if you’d seen my ex’s pecker, you’d know why this is so impressive.”

That was a kind of backhanded compliment, but Tony would take it. His cock was a little longer than average, with a nice girth and plump head. He’d never gotten any complaints, though he knew he wasn’t walking around with a monster-sized dick. He did know what to do with it.

And now, he let Augustin stroke it a few times before he pulled him up to kneel on the bed in from of Tony.
