Slowly pleasuring her, taking care with every stroke of my tongue and pulse of my fingers, I built her to the pinnacle and felt my dick ache as she ground out a deep cry through a tight jaw as she came.

I slithered my way up her body, stopping a moment to swirl my tongue around the jeweled barbell in her navel that made my cock twitch. Pulling the triangles of her bikini top down away from her breasts, I groped the supple flesh. My mouth, greedy for the taste of her again, claimed one of her nipples. As my tongue teased the puckered skin, she moaned and dragged her fingernails harshly up my back. The scratch felt so fucking good; my teeth tugged on her nipple and her voice dropped an octave as she let out more delighted noises.

I continued to savor her breasts, sucking harder and harder to hear her cry out. The tips of her fingers pressed into my shoulder blades and I hoped with everything that she was leaving behind the intricate, unique pattern of her fingerprints on me. I wanted her identity marring my skin.

With my lips still encapsulating one nipple, my hand snaked between us to stroke her pussy. The sudden touch made her jump and I pushed myself up to look down at her beautiful face. Her were lips parted, heavy breaths panting out of her, her eyes gently closed.

Caressing her cheek with the back of my hand, I smiled when she opened her eyes and looked up at me. The weight of her gaze made my expression crumble. We’d already gone down this road once, but this was somehow different. We knew the repercussions—or rather, she thought she did. We made this choice to fall into bed together, despite how difficult it might make our future as friends.

I took her chin between my fingers and moved to kiss her lips, thinking every kiss might be our last. As my mouth hovered over hers for a moment I whispered, “You’re so sexy, baby.”

She pushed up against me, kissing me hard and lifting her hips, pressing herself against my hand between her legs. Her fervor, the heat of her flesh, and the depth of her kiss fueled my desire. I reached for the nightstand, where a few days’ worth of turn-down service condoms were stacked and took one. Georgia snatched it from my hands and tore it open with her teeth all while pushing me onto my back. She rolled the condom on me with her mouth, my head falling back against the pillows with a groan. When she moved to straddle me, I sat up against the headboard before pulling her near. She sank down on me and we each expelled our own disjointed sigh.

I wrapped my arms around her waist as she rocked back and forth, riding my dick. My hands gripped her ass as she moved faster, arching her back and pushing her tits in my face. She scraped her fingernails across my neck as I began to thrust into her from below. I caught her earlobe in between my teeth and spoke against her cheek.

“I want to see you touch yourself.”

Georgia’s wildness had been rubbing off on me. I’d never had a no-name hookup, a fight, or talked dirty during sex prior to meeting her. The woman intoxicated me into the untamed beast fucking her. A sinful grin bloomed on her mouth as her hand dipped between us. Her chorus of moans began as she fondled her clit and ground her pussy down on my cock.

“Oh, fuck,” she whimpered.

Her chest heaved and I felt her begin to tense up, her eyes fluttering open then closed again. Words fell out of her—
yes, God, please, more
—as she bucked harder, gripping my neck firmly and pushing us both to the edge. I pulled her closer to me, pressing my hands into the small of her back before I pulled her hand from between her legs, hearing a noise of protest. I planted those delicate fingers in my mouth, sucking them clean, and made my thumb dance over and around her clit, teasing the release the rest of the way out of her. She bellowed and clawed at me again as she rode out the orgasm, her pussy clamping down on my cock. I gloried in the way she let me ravage her right to the very end, sinking my teeth into her shoulder as I let go.

The tension in her fingers subsided as she stoked the back of my head and dropped her forehead into the crook of my neck. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her close to me, still comfortably inside her.

She kissed my throat and I nearly shuddered. Sweetness became her and I felt like she had no idea. She certainly didn’t have any idea what it did to me.

“Mmm, that was good,” she muttered against my skin.

I inched back to look at her and threaded my fingers through her blonde hair. “I should ask for kisses more often,” I replied.

We lay there in silence for what felt like hours, Georgia cuddled against my side, my arm holding her firmly to me. I listened to her breathing and while it slowed and nearly synced with mine, I knew she was just as awake as I was. I could feel her lashes flutter against me every time she blinked.

“Thanks,” she started with a faint laugh, “for defending my honor...” She trailed off and I smoothed a hand over her hair.

“You’re welcome.”

“No one’s ever stood up for me like that before.”

I heard the catch in her breath halfway through her sentence and my heart sank. She sat up and stretched and I mimicked her, watching as her hair spilled down her bare back when she tossed it with her fingers. The urge to touch her again consumed me and my hands easily gathered her hair. She stiffened just barely then relaxed the moment I split her strands into three careless sections.

She looked over her shoulder at me with a half grin. “What are you doing?”

Braiding her hair quickly, almost absently, I shook my head. “You, uh, you braided your hair the first night we met…I assume you wear it like this when you sleep…” I paused, pinching the end of the braid closed with my fingers and looking around for some way to secure it. From over her shoulder, she handed me the black elastic that seemed ever-present on her right wrist and I wound it tightly around the tail of the braid. Letting the braid hang down her back, I couldn’t stop myself from lightly touching the length of her spine beneath it. I saw a shiver roll through her and heard a sigh fall from her lips before I cleared my throat.

“So I guess I should, um…”

I didn’t want to leave her but a part of me knew she was much more accustomed to kicking her bedfellows out than I was. Georgia reached one hand around to feel my handiwork on her hair. She smiled easily at me and reclaimed her place beside me. She surprised me by snuggling up on my chest, the smile still tugging at her lips.

“Stay the night?” she whispered. “Yes, Harrison, you should.

13.

Goodbye, Stranger

Harrison

The stunning sight of Georgia’s chin resting on her folded hands on my chest greeted me as I awoke. She watched me with a soft expression when I smiled at her, a little grin pulling at her mouth, but it floated away as quickly as it appeared.

“Good morning,” I whispered, letting my hands drift down her naked back. She purred and laid her cheek against me. The sun coming in through the windows made my stomach turn. I had to leave her.

“What time is your flight?” she asked, as though she’d sensed my thought.

“One o’clock. The shuttle is picking me up to take me to the airport at eleven.”

She didn’t say a word but I heard her swallow thickly. I didn’t know what to say. What did last night mean? What did any of it mean? My hand rose and smoothed over her hair before I bent to drop a kiss on the top of her head. She looked up and met my eyes afterward. I had no clue what was churning behind those brown irises.

“Breakfast in bed?” she offered with a sexy smile.

I chuckled and reached for the room service menu in the nightstand drawer, passing it off to her. Her eyes held me before she glanced at the food choices.

“I think I’m gonna miss you, Harrison,” she said softly.

Like a kick to the gut, I expelled a breath and fought to regain composure. I let a grin spread on my face and reached to trace the curve of her cheek.

“I
know
I’m going to miss you, Georgia.”

The bashful sweetness that painted her surprised me. Just as I dropped my hand, she buried her nose in the menu and became the girl I expected, warming my thumping heart.

“Well, obviously.” She laughed.

When our food was gone and she’d made a few more friendly jabs at me for my machismo the night before, I stood from the bed on jelly legs and got dressed. I had to go back to my room, pack my stuff, and catch the shuttle. There was no more time. She sighed heavily and pulled the messy braid over her shoulder, her fingers working quickly to undo it.

“Georgia…”

“I don’t do goodbyes,” she replied quickly.

She was still naked, wrapped haphazardly in rumpled white sheets that showed me slivers of her honeyed skin depending on how she moved beneath them. She sat up a little straighter and scooted to the edge of the bed. I bent forward and took her hand in mine, causing her to freeze. Staring at her slender fingers in my grasp for a moment, I fought the urge to tell her how happy I was we’d gotten one more night together. She ducked her face into my view and tilted her head to one side, the sheet falling away from her breasts as she did.

“You’re gonna miss your ride…” she said.

I forced a smile and brought her hand to my lips, brushing a kiss along her knuckles. Her cheeks bloomed with a blush at the move and she grinned.

“It’s not goodbye,” I breathed against the back of her hand. “I’ll see you again soon.”

Georgia nodded solemnly and for a split second, I thought I saw her eyes glisten. Then a sexy smile split her lips and she pushed up on her knees, losing the sheet completely. She linked her hands behind my neck and pulled me to her.

“See you around,
friend
,” she whispered against my lips, still beaming a smile before she kissed me goodbye.

My head ached and my skin crawled. I fucking hated flying. Trying not to think about the germs that coated not only my baggage, but also my body, I pulled my bags inside and flicked on a light. I bristled when a noise sounded from somewhere inside. I dropped my backpack and darted toward the fireplace, my hand hastily twitching to grab the wrought iron poker.

“Evan?” I hollered in the deepest voice I could muster. It was perfectly reasonable that he would be in my home. He knew what time my flight was supposed to be in…but Danielle was in town. Why would he take time out of their weekly bang-fest to greet me?

Another noise clanged, this time I could tell it came from the kitchen. I palmed the fire poker and took four long strides to the swinging door that led to my kitchen, raising the poker in the air as I pushed through it.

The second I laid eyes on the tiny brunette in flannel pajama pants and a white t-shirt, shaking her butt in front of the stovetop with bright pink headphones on, I breathed a sigh and lowered my weapon. She spun around and when she saw me, a scream ripping out of her.

“Shit!” she yelled. “Harrison, Goddammit, that’s not cool at all!”

My baby sister stamped her hands on her hips after she yanked her headphones down to rest around her neck.

“You’re the one breaking and entering, Holly.” I laughed. “What the hell are you doing here?”

Her eyes flashed wide and she glanced around my kitchen as if she was devising the perfect excuse. “I…made you a welcome home dinner!” she resolved.

I peeked into the pot on the stove and saw little pasta rings in bubbling orange sauce. I shot Holly a glare. “SpaghettiOs? What a treat.”

She scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Ugh, fine! I had to get away from my roommates. Retta is obsessed with this new vegan-low-carb-no-fat-no-taste diet and Lisa is always shaking the walls with her boyfriend. It’s a madhouse there and I just couldn’t stand it anymore. So I figured while you were away…”

“You’ve been here the whole time I was gone?!”

The sheepish look on her face gave me my answer but the puppy dog eyes that followed broke me the way they always did.

“You could’ve just asked me, you know,” I said, making my way to the refrigerator for a can of cola. I sighed when I took the first swig, still standing with the door open, letting the cool air soothe me. “Honestly, I have the room. If you wanted, you could—”

I stumbled forward when little arms flung around me from behind and her face burrowed into my back. “Move in?” Holly exclaimed. “Yes! You moving here was just perfect. I’ve been thinking about asking since I’m so close in Jersey and I hate it there. Oh my God, I love you!”

“I was going to say stay for a little longer.” I laughed again. “Let me at least get back on Eastern Time before you fill out change of address forms.”

She cleared her throat and patted me on the back. “Of course. So how was your trip?” she asked, with a little
ooh-la-la
to her tone. Holly was the only one of my sisters that I’d told about my vacation. Everyone knew I was out of town but only my little sister, the one who never judged me, knew the truth. Holly was eight years younger than I was—the surprise fifth child of the Simms family. We’d always had a different kind of bond and we’d always been able to be honest with each other. I’d driven her home and hidden her away the first time she snuck out and got drunk in high school. And she’d come to my defense when the entire family blew up at me for breaking things off with Meredith.

I sat down at the small kitchen table as she served up two bowls of our childhood favorite. “It was…really good,” I replied.

Holly sat down and scrunched up her nose at me. “Gross.”

“Not like that.” I chuckled. “I, um, met someone.”

Her brow rose and she whipped her spoon over her bowl, motioning for me to continue.

I dragged a hand over my face and stared into the bowl of kid’s pasta. I’d never been afraid to tell Holly anything. Though she was young and still a little reckless with her life—leaving me to clean up her messes every now and then—she’d always been there for me.

“It’s kind of a weird situation,” I started.

“It’s a guy!” she barked.

“Fuck, Holly! I know it crushes your dreams, but you do not have a gay brother. Deal with it.” A laugh trailed behind the end of my words and her head hung low so I could continue. “The first night, I met this
girl.
We didn’t exactly get to introductions…”
