Picks & Pucks (20 page)

“Morning,” he mumbled.

“Yes, it’s morning, and I have to go before I’m late.”

He rolled on top of me, pressing his hips into mine.

“CJ,” I warned. He ignored me and did it again. I couldn’t help responding by rubbing my own hard cock against his thigh. He grabbed my hips, held me still, and ground down on me.

“Oh God,” I moaned. My shorts were soon around my ankles, and he had his face buried in my crotch. He pursed his lips and ran them up and down my shaft, occasionally poking his tongue out to taste the precum leaking out of the tip.

“Stop. Stop,” I said in a strangled voice.

“Why?”

“Take your pants off and roll on your side. I want to suck you too,” I said.

Even though CJ was sore from the game, he moved at the speed of light and was naked before I settled back on the bed.

I thought about messing around and teasing him, but his lips wrapped around my cock and I forgot what I was doing. He almost jabbed me in the eye when I didn’t touch him. He moaned when I took him in my mouth. I was already close, and it took about five seconds before I was shooting my load down his throat. He smacked his lips and smiled at me.

I gently rolled him to his back and scooted down between his legs. I traced the bruises darkening on his rib cage, kissing them as I moved back to his cock. His moans filled the air and I hummed and sucked. In a few minutes, he was filling my mouth.

He sighed and ran his fingers through my hair. I carefully snuggled in next to him.

“You’re leaving on Monday,” CJ said sadly. “I’m going to miss waking up with you.”

“You’re just saying that because I sucked you off,” I said, wiping my mouth.

He pinned me to the bed and stared into my eyes. “No, I’m not.”

The words came out as a growl, and combined with the intensity of his stare, heat rushed through my body. The demons backed out of the room, fading through the walls. He leaned down, and I was expecting a bruising kiss. Instead he pressed his lips to mine and murmured. “It’s more, Justin. Much more.”

“Jesus,” I said, pushing him off me. “I’m going to be late.”

The demons met me in the hall and eyed me curiously. I didn’t know how to take everything that was happening between CJ and me. The intensity of our new relationship, reminded me of how it had been with Danny. It scared the shit out of me.

Practice helped keep me from overthinking the stuff with CJ. I needed to stay focused on my skating, not on my love life. I only had a few more days before I would be on the ice at Skate America. At least I wasn’t premiering the new programs. I was pretty sure if that were the case, I’d have a nervous breakdown.

We’d brought out last year’s programs, dusted them off, and changed a few things to make them feel a little shiny. We also updated the costumes from last year. Tanja was a wiz at making something worn look new again. I’d skated them so many times last year, the programs felt like putting on a pair of comfortable old shoes. They were good enough, as long as I could hit the jumps.

“You are ready,” Marina said. “Our flight leaves at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Do I need to assign someone to wake you in the morning? I am assuming you and Janae will be riding to the airport together.”

“I can handle it, Marina,” I said.

“Good. Do not forget your skates.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m not twelve.”

“Take the rest of the day off.”

“Really?”

She hugged me. “Go spend the day with someone special.”

She winked and motioned toward the tunnel, where I saw CJ standing. His jeans hung low on his hips, and his bright red cheeks and lips made my breath catch. When he looked at me, I may have melted.

“You looked great,” CJ said and put his arm around me. I backed out of his embrace. He gave me a funny look, but I wasn’t ready to walk arm and arm with a hockey player in his home arena. “What?”

“Not here,” I mumbled.

He shook his head. The locker room door opened, and Danny and Spock bounded into the hall.

“Hi, Justin,” Spock said.

Danny’s eyes darted between CJ and me. I felt my face getting hot.

“Hi, Spock,” I answered quickly and scurried away, leaving CJ behind.

A few minutes later, CJ came into the skating locker room. “What was that all about?”

“It’s better for you if your teammates don’t see us hanging around together on a regular basis.”

“They know I live with you,” he said.

“You don’t live with me. We just live at the same address.”

“Is that what you think? We’ve been sharing a bed.”

“CJ, please,” I whined. “I can’t deal with hockey boy shit right now.”

“I thought if you had some down time, we could go home and have lunch. I don’t have practice today, and I would like to spend some time with you before you leave.”

I hung my head. This would be so simple if I were a fucking girl. Not that I wanted to be a girl. I liked my dick and who I was, but I was sick of all the hiding and game playing.

“I’d like that,” I whispered.

“What?” CJ said loudly. “Couldn’t hear you. Could you repeat that?”

“Stop it,” I said weakly. “Yes, I’d like to have lunch with you.”

“Okay. Would you like me to leave before you or are we allowed to walk out together?”

“It’s your funeral,” I grumbled and followed him.

No players were hanging around, but I got a creepy feeling that someone was watching us. I kept my eyes wide open, and when we reached the car, I let out the breath I’d been holding since we’d left the safety of the locker room. CJ didn’t seem to care who saw us together, and that freaked me out more than I wanted to admit.

“I thought you were out,” CJ said.

“Uh, I am, but I don’t advertise,” I said.

“Fair enough.”

“Are you out?” I asked.

“I tell people if they ask,” he said. “I think a lot of people know about me, though.”

“Why?”

CJ sighed and shook his head. “We’re going to be away from each other for almost a week. Can we talk about something else?”

“Sure,” I said. This time it was CJ who had been holding his breath.

I thought back to the conversation with Eli when he had volunteered to do some investigating. I’d never Googled CJ’s name or pressed him to talk about his past. He’d sparked my curiosity again, but if he wanted me to know something, he could tell me.

“Justin? You’re thinking way too much.”

“Just wondering how I’m going to sleep when I’m away from you.”

I wasn’t sure if I should have said that out loud, but the look of pure adoration on CJ’s face made it worthwhile.

When we pulled into the driveway and got out of the car, I noticed the backseat was full of demons. I wondered how many belonged to him and how many were mine.

The minute I closed the front door, CJ shoved me against the wall. He moved my jacket and shirt off my shoulder and bit down, then sucked hard until a dark purple bruise blossomed.

“So when you are gone, you remember who you belong to,” he whispered. “I’m going to fix us lunch.” And with that, he walked to the kitchen, leaving me struggling to stand. I slid to the floor and put my head between my legs, trying to catch my breath.

Eli opened the door and almost crushed me.

“Um, why are you sitting on the… oh,” he said, staring at my bare shoulder.

“Hey,” Taylor said, as he pushed the door open, hitting me again. “Justin? Why are you sitting on the…. Oh.”

His gaze landed on my shoulder, and he raised his eyebrows.

Eli finally snickered, reaching down to move my shirt over the mark. “And you laughed about my neck.”

“Apparently, it’s a mark of ownership,” I said as Eli pulled me to my feet.

“Nice placement,” Taylor said. “Easily hidden under clothing.”

He poked it and I hissed.

“Fuck,” I said. I followed Taylor and Eli to the kitchen. Without them leading, I doubt I could have found the table. Eli pulled out a chair for me and sat me down.

“You guys want to join us for lunch?” CJ asked.

“Love to,” Eli said. “What are we having?”

To me it looked like we were having grilled cheese sandwiches and salad, but with fancy cheeses and weird-looking lettuce, along with a special dressing CJ was making, it turned into a gourmet meal. The preparation involved a lot of work, but the taste was like pure sex. I almost slid off my chair. Eli made obscene noises and Taylor seemed to be worshipping his sandwich by building a small lettuce shrine as he licked the salad dressing off his fingers.

“Holy shit,” Janae said. “I was scared to come in here. I thought an orgy was going on.”

“There is. It’s a food orgy,” Eli said. “Taste this.” He held up his sandwich, and she took a giant bite, then moaned loudly as she chewed.

She tried to wrestle it away from Eli, but he growled and sheltered his food with his arm. CJ quickly rose and made one for her before an all-out war started in the kitchen.

We had a fun afternoon. We laughed about stupid things that wouldn’t be funny to anyone who happened to walk in on the conversation. As the day wore on, Janae headed back to the arena for a few lessons, and Taylor and Eli left for the library to finish a paper.

I helped CJ clean up the kitchen, and he snapped my butt with a towel when I made fun of his apron. We chased each other around until he cornered me and kissed me so hard I forgot to breathe. He flicked his tongue against my bottom lip until I opened my mouth. His tongue slipped in, and I could feel my knees going weak.

“Can we go upstairs?” he asked. “I need to touch you.”

“Fuck me,” I whimpered. I couldn’t believe I’d said it out loud. I couldn’t believe I’d said it at all. I was supposed to stay away from guys, not casually invite them into my bed. The demons swarmed me, silently reminding me what happened the last time I’d let a hockey player screw with my life.

He shook his head and his brow furrowed. I backed out of his arms, thinking about making a run for it. He obviously didn’t have the same idea, but he quickly grabbed my wrist, holding tightly.

“Justin,” he said, pulling me back to him.

“I shouldn’t have—”

He put his hand over my mouth.

“I’m not going to fuck you.” His intense stare went right through me. “I want to make love to you.”

I may have lost consciousness when those words left his mouth. All I remember was floating up the stairs. I was almost sure I walked, but it wouldn’t be a big surprise if I found out CJ had carried me. The next moment of awareness for me came when CJ lifted my shirt over my head.

“You have a beautiful body,” he said, licking the mark he’d made earlier in the day.

“I work hard,” I muttered.

His hands were warm on my skin, and it made me break out in a sweat. He suddenly spun me around, then held me tight against his chest, pressing his dick against my ass. He slid his hands down my abdomen and stopped at the waistband of my jeans. He toyed with the band and slipped his fingers below barely grazing the base of my dick.

“You’re hard for me,” he whispered. His lips pressed against my ear and my entire body shivered.

“Touch me,” I begged.

One by one he popped open the buttons on my jeans but didn’t go any further. Humping the air wasn’t helping my condition either, so I started to whine and beg for him to do something, anything.

“CJ, please.”

He kissed my neck, whispering my name as he slid his hands down my sides until they rested on my hips. He gently pushed my jeans down my legs until they pooled at my ankles. I stepped out of them. My underwear followed.

I tried to turn around, but he held tight to my waist, keeping me in place. The click, click, click of his zipper filled the air, and my dick jumped. His bare dick brushed against my ass, and I had to count the stripes on a dirty shirt hanging over the chair or risk coming before anything happened.

A snapping noise made me jump, and I felt cool slippery fingers slide down my crack. The bottle of lube landed on the bed.

“Spread your legs,” he growled.

“Fuck,” I said as I sucked in a deep breath.

He chuckled and kissed my shoulder, just as he pushed one finger into me. I squeaked. When he had me worked open, he turned me around and gently laid me down on my bed. He lifted my knees and ripped open the condom packet with his teeth. He slicked his cock and guided it into me, then pressed slow and steady until I felt him bottom out.

When he didn’t move, I opened my eyes. His eyes were tightly closed. The steady rise and fall of his chest was the only movement in the room.

“CJ?” I whispered. “Are you okay?”

“I’m trying not to come.”

“Well, personally, I’d like to come,” I said.

He smiled at me and kissed me, gently thrusting into me.

“Okay?”

“Yes,” I hissed, wrapping one leg around his waist to drive him in deeper.

“I’m not going to last,” CJ said.

“Don’t care.” I grabbed my dick, stroking hard. “Hurry.”

His pumps became frantic, and just as I came all over my hand, CJ grunted and shoved hard into me. His muscles clenched and he came.

“Shit,” he panted in my ear. He rolled off me, slipping out of my body. I grabbed a handful of tissues and cleaned up my mess while CJ disposed of the condom.

“Move over,” he said, shivering. “I’m fucking cold.”

He burrowed into the blankets, cuddling me until he stopped shaking. I fought to stay awake for a few seconds, but my eyelids slid shut and sleep won the fight.

A
CHILL
ran through me, and I blindly felt around the bed, searching out CJ’s warmth. I came up empty and realized he wasn’t in bed. The demons gathered around me, whispering about boys leaving in the middle of the night. The pain in my heart increased with every beat, but when I opened my bedroom door, I heard laughter and smelled breakfast. After a shower that lasted about five seconds, I dashed downstairs to find CJ at the stove, with Janae, Eli, Taylor, Marina, and my dad all gathered around the table, eating.

They smiled and chuckled. I wondered if I had that just-fucked look.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

“This is your family and friends wishing you good luck,” Marina said. “CJ called yesterday and said he would like everyone to come for breakfast.”
