Plow (Brighten Sister’s Duet #1) (8 page)

Courtney

I
gently ease
myself onto his large cock, every muscle tightening as I adjust to his size. I watch as his face contorts from the apparent pain of needing this to elation as I give him what he wants. I bounce up and down on his cock, craving the release as badly as Brian. I grasp his large corded biceps, every thrust only helping to showcase his muscled body. His six pack abs contract and I watch that dramatic V that disappears as my body slams down once more. This man underneath me is so sexy my body hums knowing he’s mine.

I need more, so I lift myself off of his cock and turn, riding him reverse cowgirl. I lower myself back onto his dick, instantly missing the connection. With my legs braced on either side of his, I use the position to thrust harder and deeper. My pussy floods at the new angle of penetration. He’s hitting me just right, my walls beginning to pulsate. His cock starts to twitch, and I know he’s about to come.

The sound of him panting behind me makes me want to work harder for both of our releases. I reach through my legs, cupping his large balls because I know how much he likes it.

“Fuck me raw, baby. I want you to feel me for days.”

That does it.

His filthy mouth and his rock hard cock have me gushing. I hear him grunt out his release at the same time. My orgasm is so intense that I fall forward in exhaustion.

We are both coming down from the high when my phone pings. The only people who text me this late are my sisters, and it usually means trouble. I grab my phone off of the coffee table and slide the screen on. I wince at the name staring back at me.

Troy: I want to talk to you. I was serious about what I said. I want you back.

Me: Too bad, Troy. I’ve moved on. You should too.

“What’s wrong?” Brian asks over my shoulder.

“It’s Troy. He’s being a douche per usual.”

“Want me to set him straight?”

I smile at his bravado. “No, baby. It will only make matters worse. I’ve got him under control.”

Troy: With who? The lawn man? You’ve got to be kidding me, Courtney. I thought he was just a fling. I allowed it only because of my slip up.

Me: Your slip up? Try your fuck up. You know what? Thank you. Thank you for being the world’s biggest idiot. It helped me see the light before we made the mistake of going further.

Troy: You bitch. You’ll regret this.

Me: I won’t. Lose my number unless it’s for work purposes. We’re done here.

I throw my phone, ending the back and forth. I don’t care about Troy and what he has to say. I’ve said my piece.

“Who was that?” He questions.

“Troy. It’s over. I made it clear he needs to leave me the hell alone.”

“Right. Fucking unbelievable.” He grates out irritated.

His tone is not meant towards me but his hostility towards Troy.

“I promise. He isn’t like you.”

He scoffs. “You think I’m like
him
?”

“No!” I exclaim. “Not at all. I just meant that he doesn’t care enough about anyone but himself to fight for me. I know you would.”

“I shouldn’t have to fight for you.,” he says bitterly.

I’ve hurt him, and I regret it already. “Baby. I didn’t mean anything by it. I’m not comparing you to Troy. You are not even in the same realm as him. I know this, I was just trying to ease your mind.”

He relaxes. “I’m not angry, Courtney. I just want to strangle that asshole. I hate that he won’t leave you alone.”

I smile. “I love you. He will give up sooner rather than later. He’s a quitter. Regardless I am
yours
. Always.”

I never believed in instant love. Lust maybe, but not love. It took a long time for me to even consider the fact that I loved Troy, and now, standing here with Brian, I doubt I ever really did love Troy. He was a security blanket. Leaving my family was tough. My sisters and I are so close that it killed me to be this far from them. He was my false sense of home. I never had these crazy butterflies or this intense need to be with him, like I do with Brian. What I have with Brian is love.

T
hree days
later I’m still pissed that Troy won’t get a clue.

As if the snake was conjured up from my thoughts alone, Troy comes walking smugly in my direction.
Jesus H.
I am not prepared to deal with this jackass today.

“Decker.”

“I don’t have time for this. I’m meeting the Governor.”

“He’s not in today, so you’ll be meeting with me. Last minute family emergency. He asked me to apologize for him.” I inwardly cringe.

Doing business with Troy makes me want to eat nails, but I suck it up. This is business, not a personal meeting.

“All right. Let’s get this going. I have some things to do this afternoon.”

He turns on his heel and heads in the direction of Courtney’s office. She doesn’t know I’m here today. I was going to drop in before I left and ask her to lunch.

When we get to her door, she looks up surprised to see me. Her eyes light up, and a smile forms on her lips. “Mr. Decker. It’s good to see you,” she purrs.

“Courtney, there is no need to be formal here. I’m well aware you’re seeing
Mr. Decker
.” He says my name with obvious loathing. It brings me some satisfaction knowing I bother him as much as he does me.

“What we do outside of this building is between Courtney and me, no one else. I don’t see any reason why we’d owe anyone here an explanation,” I state. This is Courtney’s place of employment, and I don’t want to cause issues for her.

“Right, well, this is also not an
appropriate
place to be hiding in storage closets either, but I digress.”

Red infiltrates my vision. The extreme craving to strangle this fucking pussy has me shaking. I breathe to calm myself before I do something I’ll regret. Once I have myself in check, I turn to Troy. “I’m here on state business. Let’s get this over with. I have shit to do today.”

The meeting goes smoothly albeit tense. He’s one wrong move away from catching an elbow to the face. Luckily for him, he keeps all mentions of Courtney out of our discussion. I can’t help shake the feeling that he’s up to something. I have a bad feeling where he’s concerned. I’m going to keep an eye on pretty boy Troy.

Y
ou’re an ass
. Get the hell out of my office!”

“Lets get something straight. You will call off this new relationship and you will give us another chance.”

I bark out a humorless laugh. “The fact that you think you have any say over my life is comical. You and I are done. I’m happy and nothing is going to change that.”

A joker’s smile develops on Troy’s smug looking face. “Oh, darling Courtney. How little you know. Must I remind you that sexual conduct at the workplace is strictly forbidden and is subject to immediate termination?”

I give him a bored look.

“I have proof that you and Decker had sex in the closet. I also have proof that you’ve masturbated in your office and used a government-issued phone to do it.”

All I can do is laugh. “Are we in high school? Are you seriously expecting me to believe you have proof?”

He whips out his phone and queues up his videos. A blank screen pulls up but the troubling part isn’t what I see but what I hear.
“God, yes. You feel so good.”

I gasp. It’s my voice loud and clear. “What the hell? Were you spying on us? You sick fuck!”

“It doesn’t matter what I did. The fact is you and Decker are both going to lose your job if you don’t play things my way.”

“Go to hell, Troy. Do what you will, but I won’t be blackmailed back into your bed. Ever.” I start to storm out of the room, but his icy words have me stopping in my place.

“You may not care, but you both will lose it all.”

I spin around to face him. “You can’t hurt us, Troy.”

“Don’t be naïve. Once word gets out that he lost this account and why, you’ll see every other account in the area pulling their business. Nobody will want to work with someone the Governor has let go. As for you… well, you’ll be known as a whore.”

My body sags. Does what he says have merit? Could I have ruined things for Brian and me? “You’re missing one thing. The only voice you have on that recording is mine. You’re only speculating that it’s Brian.”

“It’s obvious. You’re seeing him.” It’s written all over his face. Doubt.

“Nobody knows that.”

“I do, and I will have no problem burying both of you with it.”

“The only person you’ll bury is me, and I’d have to care for that to matter. I’ve never wanted this job and you know it. Go for it. Show the Governor, but I’ll never admit it’s Brian. In fact, I’ll tell him it was you.”

His face morphs into rage. “You bitch.”

“You’ve done this to me. You’ve made me cynical, empty and bitter. He made me whole again. I’d do anything to protect him.” I smile, knowing what I have to do. “Don’t bother doing anything with that video. I’m resigning.”

His eyes go wide. “Why would you do that?”

“I love him and that’s what you do for the people you love. You protect them.”

His face morphs into an evil sneer. He presses some buttons on his phone and retrieves another recording. It’s me. It’s the video I made and sent to Brian.

“How the hell do you have that?”

“You forget who I am, Courtney. I plan to ruin you if you walk out that door. Are you prepared to be publicly shamed?”

A tear falls down my face. I’m hurt because this man in front of me is vile. I’d actually thought at one point that I loved him. “You do what you will.” I walk out, defeated and broken once more by Troy.

I knock on the Governor’s door. “May I speak with you?”

He looks up with squinted eyes. He can tell something is wrong. “Come in, Courtney.”

Once the door closes, I jump right in, wanting to simply tear the Band-Aid off. “I messed up. I did some things that are enough to cause a scandal and lose my job.”

His brow furrows and a line forms across his forehead. “What did you do, Courtney?”

“I really don’t want to give you the specifics. Just know I am resigning effective immediately. I don’t want this to ruin your upcoming election.”

“Why would you be so careless? You’re an important member of my team, Courtney. You’ve really put me in a bad place.”

I grimace. The last thing I ever wanted was to disappoint the Governor. He is a good guy and a great Governor. “I know. I would never want to put the election in jeopardy. You belong in office.”

He eyes me warily. “I don’t know how I’m ever going to replace you. Dammit, Courtney.”

“Thank you for everything. I will write up my resignation and leave it on your desk before I leave.”

I go to walk out when his words stop me. “Who’s blackmailing you?”

His question startles me. My mouth hangs open.
How does he know?

“Why would you ask me that?”

“There has to be a reason you’re coming to me. Someone has to have evidence of whatever you did.”

I want to be honest with him. He deserves it. “Troy. He’s angry with me, but there is someone else involved and that person deserves to be protected. It wasn’t his fault, it was mine, and Troy is blackmailing us with it. I’m hoping with me out of the picture he’ll drop it.”

He shakes his head and chuckles. “There’s no evidence of who the other person is?”

“No, only me.” I cringe.

“Christ, Courtney?” He scratches his head to calm down.

“I can’t promise you even with your resignation that the evidence won’t be leaked, but I’ll make sure that Troy understands that if it ever gets out he’s done.” I nod my thanks.

“All right, well, we’ll leave it at your resignation. I won’t listen or buy into any of his suggestions as to who the other person is. I’ll find another way to get rid of Troy. I’ve always hated the bastard.” He winks and I smile.

“Good luck with that, sir.”

“Good luck to you, Courtney.”

I walk out and begin the process of starting my new life. For the first time ever, I feel liberated and completely happy.

Brian

I
haven’t spoken
to Courtney since I left the state house today. I swear if Troy did anything to her, I’ll kill him with my bare hands.

I’m wearing lines into my wood floors by pacing when the door to my place opens and Courtney walks in. Something is different about her. She’s glowing.

“Hey, baby,” she purrs.

“Where have you been? I’m going crazy over here. What’s wrong?”

“Everything is fine. I quit.”

I blanch at her bluntness. “You what?”

“Troy was threatening me with a video, so I resigned.”

“Why would you do that?”

“I did it for me. For us.”

I eye her skeptically. “Explain.”

“He was going to out us to the Governor if I didn’t leave you for him. He had proof, but it only incriminated me. To protect you, I resigned.” She shrugs as if it’s no big deal.

“Courtney, that’s insane! We could’ve dealt with it together. Let the fucker at me. I have plenty of business.”

She sighs. “I knew you’d say that. You’re not thinking of the repercussions it would’ve caused you, had it been leaked to the press. By telling the Governor myself, I avoided that and put Troy on a very tight chain if he wants to keep his job.”

“What about you? It’s not fair that you lose everything.”

“What have I lost? I still have you. Besides, you know that wasn’t my dream. I actually spent the afternoon signing up for the spring esthetics class.”

His face lights up. “You did? Baby, that’s great! I’m so proud of you!” He lifts me off my feet and twirls me.

“I want you.”

He grins. “Princess, you have me forever.”

Right here, in this moment, my world is perfect.

Epilogue

O
ur bodies crash together
.

Our kisses become frenzied with need.

I clasp my hands behind his head and lift my legs to wrap around him. Brian takes hurried steps to bring us to his bedroom. He never breaks our kiss even when he lays us down and starts tearing at my clothes. Everything we are wearing is stripped off, only pulling apart for a brief second to remove our shirts. Once naked, he throws my body back down and hovers above me. I can feel him against my slick opening. My hips lift on their own accord, the tip of his length entering me slightly. Teasing me. I push up again.

“Patience, Princess,” he smirks pulling back. “I’ll give you what you want.” He presses the head of his cock back in my dripping entrance and then he does exactly what my body is begging him to do—he slams into me and takes my breath away.

My body shifts below him, I pull him in deeper and he responds by pumping his hips at a rhythm I love. Shallow then deep. His thrusts grow harder as he drives deep within me. His movements match the cries of pleasure pouring out of me as I climb towards release. Gripping tighter for leverage, I rake my nails down his skin. The friction from my hands causes Brian to cry out in ecstasy,

Slam.

Slam.

He keeps up the maddening pace until I feel my body begin to clench around him.

I go limp in his arms, his soft fingers turning my face so our gaze meets.

“You’re moving in with me.” It’s not a question, it’s a statement. The most perfect one I have ever heard because deep down in my soul it’s the only place I will ever want to be.
