Possessed (3 page)

“Possessed,”
Mike filled in. “That’s what his parents said when they disowned him.”

“Yes,”
Keva agreed quietly. She didn’t like this situation at all. It was the sort of
thing that made people afraid of psychics. She put her thumb between her teeth
and bit the tip as she began to pace. What could she do?

“When
he’s like that, he’s harmless, though he seems otherwise,” Mike said.

“But
it’s when he’s at his most powerful,” Ken added. He flopped down onto the
couch. “I was hoping that he’d give us a solution when he was in that state.”

Keva
grunted. “The only recommendation he had was to lewdly suggest that I…” She
trailed off as the two men turned to look at her.

“What?”
Ken asked leaning forward. “What did he suggest?”

“It
was nothing. He was very flippant with me.”

“It
may have seemed that way, but—”

“It’s
not a possibility,” she cut Mike off. As they stared at her she could tell they
weren’t going to let the subject drop. “He suggested that I sleep with him.”

Mike’s
brows rose. Ken blinked rapidly. “What were his exact words?”

She
waved a dismissive hand. “That I let him work off his energy that way.”

Mike
turned to Ken. “Would it work?”

He
shrugged. “Maybe.”

Keva
stopped. “Look, you can stop positing that I screw your friend. It’s not going
to happen.”

Ken
looked at her sadly. “Keva, you don’t understand. He’s been like this for
almost a week. He’s getting worse every day. We told him we were going to
Vegas, but the intention was always to get him into IOP. But he couldn’t take
Vegas. There were too many people, too many lights. We had to get him away. We
brought him out here because he’s going supernova.”

Her
eyes widened. She couldn’t help it. Her gaze swung to the lightning storm going
on outside. If Sebastian blew, he was going to take a considerable chunk of
land with him.

Mike
approached her. “Please, Keva, was he serious?”

She
thought back to Sebastian’s words, the expression on his face when he said it.
“He was taunting me,” she concluded. But she wasn’t sure and her words lacked
strength. The two men exchanged a look. They didn’t have to say anything for
her to know that they were going to push this issue. “If this is a matter of
sex, then one of the two of you will have to do it.”

“He
doesn’t swing that way,” Mike said.

“And
neither do we,” Ken pointed out. “And we’re not Channels.”

“Please,
Keva—”

She
held up a hand to cut Mike off. “I-I can’t.”

“You
can’t tell me that you don’t find him attractive,” Ken huffed. “Women are
always throwing themselves at him.”

“Yeah,
well, I just met him,” she snapped and recommenced pacing.

“It’s
never made a difference before.”

“Shit,”
Mike blurted. “He was serious. He’s never propositioned a woman before. He’s
never had to.” He turned pleading eyes to her. “You’ve got to do it.”

She
shook her head even as she opened her mind to the possibility. This wasn’t the
way they handled clients. But could she stand by and let him go supernova,
endangering their lives and an untold number of lives in the surrounding area?

How
horrible could it be? It would probably be over in minutes. He wasn’t
unattractive. That was an understatement. He probably wouldn’t be any good in
bed. In her experience, good-looking men never were. They got women based on
their looks and didn’t feel pressured to work on their skills in the boudoir. Her
last boyfriend, Devine, was a prime example. He’d been born Erskine Skinner,
Jr., but had legally changed his name to Devine. That should have been a hint
and a half to her, but she’d been wowed by his good looks. Sex with Devine
lasted all of five minutes, foreplay included. She didn’t suppose she could
expect much more out of Sebastian who had to be the best-looking man she’d ever
seen.

She
bit her lip in indecision. His friends seemed so desperate to save him.

There
was the tiny problem that the man scared the hell out of her. She trembled at
the memory of his voice. When he lost control it was so deep and dark as though
he were being dragged from the bowels of a pit. Keva cut that thought off. She
needed to stop thinking like that. Sebastian was not possessed. He was a man.
Possibly a good one if his friends were willing to risk their lives to save
him. At this point, she may well be saving him, his friends, and herself.

She
swore. She had to do this.

Sebastian
breathed a small sigh of relief when the door closed behind Keva. As much as he
was hurting, he didn’t want to drag her into this. Hopefully he’d frightened
her into leaving and she would be safe.

She
was more beautiful than he’d imagined. Her caramel skin glowed with health and
was complimented by her thick tresses. She wore her long, black hair parted in
the center. It fell straight and dark like a black satin curtain to her
shoulders. He’d been seeing her in his dreams since he was twelve. To finally
meet her, to touch her, made him feel as though his life was complete. He
wasn’t so foolish as to believe that they could have a happy ever after. She
was an amazing, strong woman, and he…well, he was a freak, a mutant…all the horrible
names his—No, he wouldn’t go there. He shoved the memories back into the past
where they belonged.

He
ground his teeth together as a surge of energy pulsed through his body. It wrung
him out and made him tired. But he welcomed it. It reminded him of why he
couldn’t expose Keva to a lifetime of this shit. He wanted her as much as his
next breath. If he took her tonight, he’d never be able to let her go. She
would be chained to him, as possessed as he was by his rabid abilities.

When
his parents had thrown him out of the house at sixteen, he’d been hurt, but he’d
understood. Having him in the home made the family a target. The painful part
came in knowing that they believed that he was capable of hurting them.

Burying
his face in his hands, Sebastian wondered how to convince Ken and Mike to leave
him. He tensed as he heard the door open. Keva hesitated and then she kicked
off her shoes. He viewed her through the thick veil of his hair. She removed a
band from her pocket and bound her hair. Then she paused again. Sebastian
inhaled deeply as she grabbed the hem of her blouse. “What are you doing?”

“Taking
you up on your suggestion.” She moved quickly as though if she paused she might
change her mind. Her T-shirt was tossed to the side. She undid the button of
her pants and they dropped to her ankles.

“Stop!”
he barked. She froze, her hands behind her back working the clasp of her bra.

“Let’s
just get this over with so that I can go home.” She shrugged out of the bra, a
plain white garment that did not begin to hint at the beautiful breasts it
contained. Her skin was creamy and smooth, her nipples the color of chocolate.
He thought he could quickly become a chocoholic. Her hands moved to her white
boy shorts, shoving them down her curvy hips without further ado. Sebastian
licked his lips at the sight of her pussy. He had to look like a panting dog as
she crossed to the bed and climbed onto the mattress. Sebastian’s dug his nails
into the carpet though he knew it was futile. Nothing would keep him off her.

He
growled. “You’re willing to let me fuck you? Why?”

She
stared up at the ceiling. “Because I want to help you. You have two friends who
are willing to risk their lives for you so you must be a pretty special person.”

He
half walked and half crawled to the bed, drawn to her in spite of himself.
She’d spread her thighs to accommodate him and there was no stopping the sound
that rumbled up from his chest. At her flinch, he zeroed in on her face. Her
eyes were locked on the ceiling above them. She had her bottom lip clamped in a
vise of tiny white teeth. “Look at me,” he demanded. She blinked and did as he
commanded.
“Why?
Why would you do this for me?

“Will
this work? Will this save you?”

He
nodded. He’d never tried it before, but he knew this would work.

“I
want to help you. And if…this helps, then it will have been worth it.”

She
was so brave and giving. He wished he could be too so that he could turn her
away and face his end. But he wasn’t. He was selfish and he wanted her.

Sebastian
pushed down his briefs. Her eyes dropped to his erection, and her breathing
faltered. He knew he was large, but it had never been a problem for him until
now. He didn’t know how much control he had on himself. He wanted to be gentle
with her, but he was afraid that was beyond him.

He
laid a hand over her mound. She was warm, but she was in no way ready to be
taken. He crawled over her and molded her body to his. The sensation of her
soft skin against his was ecstasy. His body hummed with it. He buried his nose
in her neck. She smelled sweet. Like warm flowers and candy. He nibbled his way
up to her ear. “I’m going to fuck you so hard and deep, you’ll never forget the
feel of me.”

Keva
shivered as a sliver of arousal raced down her spine at his erotic words. Her
nipples beaded against the hot wall of his chest. He chuckled. “You like the
thought of that, huh?”

She
balled her hands into fists. “J-just do it already.”

“You
want me to hurt you?”

“No,
but the sooner this is over, the better.” And it would keep her from backing
out. She felt her courage failing her. He shifted so that his forehead rested
against hers and his hair surrounded them. When his mouth took hers, it was
incredibly gentle. His lips moved over hers in a soft, slow exploration that
let her appreciate the pillow-like plushness of his mouth. She opened to him as
his tongue flicked at the corner of her lips.

The
kiss grew hungry. Each slide of his tongue against hers increased the fire
burning in her belly. She gripped his shoulders. They were hard and strong and
so impossibly wide. Sebastian held the back of her head and deepened the kiss.

Their
legs were intertwined. Sebastian shifted so that the firebrand of his erection
worked its way between her folds. She moaned as he stroked against her clit.
His hands found her breasts, kneading until her nipples were like diamonds.
Only then did he squeeze and flick the tips with his thumbs. She arched into
him helplessly. It was as though there was a string connecting her nipples with
her pussy. Every tug of the turgid tips caused her hips to thrust into his.

Sebastian
broke the kiss. “You’re beautiful, Keva. Far more beautiful than I dreamed.”

He
spoke as though he’d been expecting her. It wasn’t the first time he’d made
such a comment. “What do you—” She gasped as he took her nipple in his mouth.
He suckled first one nipple and then the other. She buried her hands in the
cool silk of his hair.

He
moved down her abdomen, his destination obvious. She didn’t try to stop him,
but she wondered at his motives. Cupping his face, she made him look at her.
His eyes were silver. “Why?”

Sebastian
blinked and the glow of the silver dimmed but his irises did not return to
blue. “You can’t receive my energy if you’re not prepared. You have to come for
me.” He held her gaze as he parted her with his thumbs and took a long lick of
her pussy. Her fingers tightened in his hair and he grinned.

The
man was wicked, Keva decided as his tongue circled her clit. He laved each
side, placing pressure on the engorged bud before closing his lips over it and
sucking. Her hips bucked. He groaned. He  slid his hands under her ass as he
devoured her.

She
was panting his name and on the verge of an orgasm when he stopped. He crawled
over her. Her scent marked him. He pressed her thighs wide and fitted the head
of his cock to her opening. She bit her lip at the burn as he thrust forward,
burying his considerable length in her pussy. His thick possession was a
pleasurable burn as he stretched her to accommodate his size. He was shaking
and growling as though he was fighting with himself. His skin glowed with his
untapped energy.

Keva
opened her legs wider, trying to give him what he needed. “It’s okay, Sebastian,”
she whispered. “Let go. I can take it.”

“Can
you?” Starting at her hips, he ran his hands up her body. He locked his fingers
with hers and pulled them over her head. His eyes when they met hers were
lustrous. He thrust, changed his angle, and thrust again. She cried out. He’d
found her G-spot. He gave her a superior grin and began fucking her hard,
hitting the same spot every time. She wrapped her legs around his and tilted
her hips up for him.

What
she’d estimated would take five minutes had already surpassed that. She couldn’t
hold on for long though. It had been over two years since she’d been with a man
and this was the best sex she’d ever had. Her pussy milked his cock as her
orgasm rushed over her like a wave. She screamed his name, her shock at how
easily he’d made her come clear in her voice. He stopped moving, allowing her
pussy to ripple around him.
