Taurus responded, “She? Aries?”

“Disappointed, Zodiac? Don’t be such a bigot,” The Pope answered.

Taurus said, “Do not put words in my mouth, Pope. Where is she hiding?”

“There is a technique gazelles use to avoid becoming food to their predators, and it’s quite an effective survival technique, if I should say so myself. The closer they are to their enemies, the safer they feel. This whole time for centuries we’ve been looking in all corners of the Universe when she was right here in Rome. She has deceived us all.”

Taurus said, “How did you discover Aries’ location?”

The Pope continued, “Sometimes, even the greatest of techniques will, at some point in time, reveal their flaws. It was only a matter of time before she made a mistake, and we were ready when she did. Luckily for us, she has yet to discover that we are aware of her error.”

The Pope’s assistant handed over Aries’ coordinates to Taurus and Pisces.

“Good luck. Do not fuck this up, Zodiac. Make sure she is turned and ready for obligations.” The Pope motioned them to leave his presence.

“This is Margerett Bell reporting to you live at ZDVV News station in Washington DC. Another dictator and a politician accused of committing crimes against humanity have been found murdered in their suburban homes. Other politicians have been taking drastic measures for their own safety by upping the ante on security and fleeing to other countries

.

There’s still no word from our President following the incident that left this World devastated when our First Lady shockingly turned out to be someone she’s not. The incident has caused total disorder ever since. The footage has reached record-breaking views all over the World.”

The President turned off the television and said, “At last, the cattle question their slaughter. I’m just counting the hours before they remove us from our chairs, one way or another. I would be better off just shooting myself in the head right now, or letting that angry mob of protesters outside do the honors.”

A window in the President’s oval office shattered, and intruders assembled into his office. Members of The Pursuers exterminated their decoys and security. Unearthed in their true evil forms, the existing President, along with his Vice-President and Former President, locked eyes with their intruders.

“Mr. President, please come with us!” Secret Service Agents shouted. Clothed in suits and ties, but with their Demonic faces exposed, they grabbed at the President.

However, he put them off. “What’s the use? I’m dead either way!”

He saw the determined eyes of Natenal behind his golden mask planting a special spear through the Former President’s back, the Former President lay slumped over the desk of the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, more Secret Service Agents entered the room and engaged Natenal. They gave a good contest, but lost their heads and limbs as a result.

Natenal approached the current President. The President aimed his gun towards Natenal’s face, but the Pursuer moved in fast and swiftly knocked it from his hand. Natenal grabbed the President and pushed him into a group of awaiting Pursuers who bound his hands and feet. They left the way they had come in. Hidden, but in plain sight, a misty cloud enveloped the craft. The impeccable kidnapping of the President left the remaining Secret Service Agents speechless.

Once inside the craft. the President became more and more belligerent. “You’ll never get away with this, you bastards! Where the fuck are you taking me!”

One of The Pursuers threw a sheet over the President’s head. But that didn’t stop him; he continued his rants. However, rants coming from under a sheet proved more comical than threatening.

“Shut your mouth. Your threats will not work here,” Natenal said.

They continued in silence, traveling through the thick clouds and warped into full speed after witnessing the approach of unidentified craft.

Pharisees woke up and realized that his hands were bound with a weird iron-like material. Two Angels he’d never seen before grabbed him, took him up to the craft’s control room, and shoved him down in front of Malachi. One said, “You said to bring him to you when he woke up. Here he is.”

Malachi spoke, “Ah, yes. Impeccable timing, Pharisees. We are almost there. How was your sleep, my friend?”

Pharisees stared uncomprehendingly at Malachi. “What is the meaning of this, Malachi? And, where are you taking me?”

Instead of a trip to a restored Judgment Realm as he had been assured, Pharisees set his eyes upon a mysterious land corrupted by darkness. In the distance, a group of Demon Archangels waited by their craft.

Their craft landed on the hill of a windy estate. Anthony and Malachi ordered their Angels to follow.

Malachi spoke to one of the Demon Archangels. “As promised, we’ve apprehended one of The Pursuers. Tell your soldiers to remove themselves from the Halls of the Judgment Realm.”

Pharisees broke in, “So it was all lies! The Judgment Realm was never restored!”

Anthony answered Pharisees. “Not until now, thanks to you …”

Pharisees interrupted, “You coward. This is deplorable. Do you fornicate with these Devils as well, Anthony?”

Anthony hollered, “Silence!”

Anthony moved in to strike a chained Pharisees. Pharisees moved, but a jolt of electricity surfacing from the strange silverish restraints stopped him. The shock knocked him to the ground leaving him dazed and immobilized.

“Ha-ha,” one of the Demon Arch’s chuckled. “It seems you have kept your end of the bargain. I will order my men to remove themselves from the Judgment Realm, as agreed.”

Pharisees said, “You dare meet at a negotiating table with Devils? I am sure God has no knowledge of this. This explains the gathering upon these cursed Mortal grounds.” He shook his head as he watched Malachi and Anthony exchange Scrolls with the Devils at a tabletop nearby.

Pharisees went on, “This land is an abomination. It is a fornication pit stop. I’ve heard of it. Demons and Angel’s come here to force themselves upon one another, away from the eyes of their rulers.”

“That is enough!” Anthony kicked the downed Pursuer across his face, knocking him over to his other side.

Malachi added, “He’s all yours.”

One of the Demons responded as they apprehended Pharisees, “This will be remembered when your kingdom is overturned. I will also give word to Lucifer to spare you and your comrades we’ve witnessed here this day.”

Malachi spoke to the Demon. “Hold your boastful tongue, Devil. This is only a minor setback. God didn’t appoint me as one of his strategists for no reason. I was sent to restore order back into the Judgment Realm, and I’ve achieved it without the fatality of any more Archangels.”

A Devil inserted, “By betraying one of your own? You seem to be content with your deed, so I will keep my views silent.”

They departed, and the Devils carried the unconscious Pharisees with them aboard their own spacecraft.

“Instead of meeting us on the battlefield, he took the route of a coward and just handed over one of his own. Nevertheless, it is less work for us. Ha-ha-ha.”

Daniel and Goliath reached the safehouse. “Good, there is no one here at the moment to see us in our hopeless form. Let’s clean up before they return,” Daniel said as he paced towards one of the restrooms.

They each went to separate bathrooms. Goliath stared into the eyes of something he’d never met. “What have I become?” he questioned himself.

“You can learn so much from me.”

Startled, Goliath fell back and almost landed in the bathtub. He saw the Vampeer, his Host, speaking through the mirror.

“Goliath, I can teach you to be stronger than you can imagine.”

Goliath collected himself. “No!”

He punched the mirror, shattering it to pieces.

He heard Daniel yelling from upstairs, evidence that he’d experienced a similar event.

The mirror was another mode of the Vampeer’s communication. The chances of Daniel and Goliath ever seeing their reflection again without a surprise were slim.

“How long will you continue to refuse me? Soon you’ll seek my help. All that power needs to be contained or it will destroy you. You’ve been warned. I will come for you soon,” Dracuul said.

His voice was a mere echo in the air, but he’d made his mark upon The Pursuers nonetheless.

A few hours passed. They woke from their sleep after hearing a door open downstairs, followed by a very angry voice.

“You bastards! Why don’t you just kill me and be done with it?” An unfamiliar voice resonated within the halls.

“Set him down over there,” Natenal instructed.

They drew their weapons after noticing someone approach. “Brothers!” Pleased to see the return of his comrades, Natenal embraced them, and the rest followed.

Zodeen was not fooled and didn’t say a word, but thought to himself, “They both bear the mark of a different Covenant, but I sense no danger. Hmm, strange.”

Daniel and Goliath went outside; and to their surprise, they saw the bodies of their fallen comrades being carried from the craft. “My God, what’s happened here?” Goliath asked.

Without a word, Abdeen walked past them, very upset. He took the misfortune the hardest. “Betrayal. Bishop and his Kingdom are planning a move against God,” Natenal said.

Daniel inquired, “The Mover of Suns? I don’t understand. How could this happen?”

Levi answered, “No one knows his reasons. And quite honestly, I do not care. He must be eliminated.”

Natenal stated, “The situation has significance, but it is not our affair. We must focus on our task first, and disregard the questioning of his treachery. Sabrina is on her way to forward the message to our Father himself. I assure you he will take care of it.”

Abdeen returned and said, “They didn’t even give him an honorable death! They crucified him upside down to make it look as if Devils were responsible.”

“What would be the point of framing Devils if they’d left the Bookkeeper alive to give his testimony?” Daniel argued.
