Never actually watching him get dressed before a show, made me wonder if he was nervous or anxious. He seemed calm, but distant. More distant than I had seen in awhile. He sat on the edge of the bed applying lotion to his arms and hands. Davien walked to the far wall and stood in front of the full length mirror. He reached for a bottle of gel from his dresser and styled his hair perfectly. I wished those were my fingers running through his hair, pulling slightly and begging for my needs to be released. He caught my eye from the mirror, for some reason he looked hurt. He seemed disappointed and I didn't know if it was something I had done or if he was regretting everything we had been doing. But I took everything for my own guilt. We both quickly looked away.

He made me feel like an unwanted room mate. Surely regretting to share a bedroom, let alone a whole damn bed. I felt like strangers again, strangers that shared a bed on a nightly basis. Would he ever be honest when he was ready for me to leave? Just last night we shared the same bed. We were very distant and our 'talks' had shortened but he hadn't seemed actually angry.

Over the next half hour, many thoughts went through my mind. I wondered if he was talking to another girl, but didn't know how to confront me about the situation. Maybe he even wanted to bring her home, but I was there. What an awkward thought. But the truth was, it was his apartment, his room and his bed. I wasn't his girlfriend I had simply stated that I wanted to take things slow. I wasn't sure if I was ready for a relationship and I surely didn't know if my next relationship wanted to be with a man like Davien who left each girl to find the next. If he wanted to bring any girl or many other girls home, I had no right to have a say so in it. I just hoped he would respect me enough to let me know before I watched the girls jump in bed with us.

After another half hour of pampering his self we still never spoke. I continued putting my heels on and applying my make up. I was showing off the 'New Avery' tonight. I was pleased with my dress and I rocked my new shoes perfectly. The dress reached sky high to the very top of my thighs. The top dipped low enough to show off the tops of my curvy cleavage. The small, black piece of fabric that I was wearing gripped tightly around my hips and held me in places only a couple of men had ever touched. I licked my lips as I turned to check my sight in the mirror. I caught Davien's eyes watching my mirror now and before I dropped my eyes, I saw his nostrils flare with anger.

With a loud sigh, I finally ended the quiet room. “I'm riding with Natalia.” He never responded to my statement, just continued covering his feet with socks and shoes. “Bye.”

I could have cried when I stepped from the room, but I held myself together and waited for Natalia to arrive. Davien never came upstairs and even though he had never said anything, I knew he was waiting for me to leave before he attempted to come up the stairs.

The bar was packed that night and since Natalia and I had stopped for a bite to eat, the guys were already there. I was ready to run out the door, or possibly throw up right in the building when my eyes locked on Davien's body. He sat with another woman and they had no problem showing off their desire for each other. She held his hand and he never pulled away. The obnoxious woman traced the edges of Davien's hair with her fingers as she giggled with each comment he spoke. I realized she was the same woman that Davien had taken a shot from her breasts just weeks ago. I actually wondered how long they had spent together that night. He obviously didn't bring her home, since I was there. But did he take her to a hotel or maybe back to her place? Had they dated in the past or maybe presently? Remember he sleeps with whoever he wants. Sick bastard!

We slowly approached the table where Scott and Davien....oh and the other girl were sitting. My heart was racing with eagerness to snap any minute. But he wasn't mine and never had been. We were simply room mates and we were doing a lousy job at keeping it that way. Davien's chair was turned from the table and his back was to us. He never turned to see our arrival. I kept staring at the couple when we rest on the chair. “Hey baby.” Scott smiled at Natalia. “Hey, Avery, what do you guys want to drink? I was just heading to the bar before we hit the stage.”

Natalia placed her order and without thinking I blurt out. “Four shots... whatever you wish.” Davien's eyes darted back at mine when he heard my voice. He never blinked while he studied my looks. His nostrils only flared and he bit his bottom lip so hard I wondered if he drew blood. Actually I was sure he hurt his self as he clenched his jaw that held his lip tightly between his teeth.

Scott's eyes nearly popped from his head. “Four shots it is.” He said cautiously

“Make it five and a vodka lemonade... you know how I like those” I mentioned with strong sarcasm. My voice loud enough, making sure our entire table could hear. Scott slowly stepped backwards from the table. His looks killed my heart while he begged to stay out of the middle. He saw the tension between Davien and I, but never asked.

Natalia had no clue to what was going on, but she made it very clear that she was caught off guard from my attitude. When I left the house I was angry, but when I arrived at the bar and saw the man I wished could be mine, and he was stuck to a sickening woman, made me furious. I had no words to explain the thoughts that raced through my mind. I was sure that Natalia had watched my eyes as I stared at Davien.

The blonde heard my answer and chuckled in response. Davien looked at her face and dropped his hand from the busty blonde's lap but continued talking to her innocently which still didn't please me. I shook my head as I examined the woman. She had thick blonde hair that reached just below her shoulders. Her body was a medium build, slim, but her breasts caused her to look much more curvy. She was dressed in extremely obscene clothing, well my dress was too, but Davien seemed to like it.  I guess he seemed to like hers as well.

Scott arrived with the drinks and he slowly lowered each of my shots next to my drink. Continuously watching my eyes, he made sure he was doing the right thing. As if he had heard me incorrectly, but I just kept nodding and smiled at each glass. He stood straight as his nerves showed fire. I felt bad that I was doing this to him. He placed a drink in front of Natalia and poked Davien on the shoulder, causing him to turn to the table for his beer. “Thanks man. I could really use that...you know with the show about to start.”

My nostrils flared with heat pouring out and Davien watched my every move. Very politely he asked the other woman to sit at another table, but he still never attempted to speak to me. Without thinking, I took my first shot. I sat straight up as I felt the burn travel down my chest. I looked at the line of shots placed in front of me. I had four more and I had no intentions of making them last. I picked each one up after another and downed each one like a pro. Picking up my vodka drink I washed everything down and exhaled as I felt the burn fade from my chest. After I placed my drink back to the table, I noticed the bright blue eyes attached to me. I couldn't make out his facial expression or thoughts. But I knew he was just as out of place as I was feeling. It was more than odd.

“The Pits will be on stage in the next few minutes, so grab your drink and let's get the show started.” The familiar voice sounded over the speakers. Justin and Vince were already sitting on the steps to the stage. Each had a few women at their sides. One girl was lifting the back of Justin's shirt and obviously looking at a large tattoo on his back that I could barely make out. Dropping Justin's shirt down she wrapped her arms around his waist as she stood behind him. His hands went over his head and he lift his head until his arms wrapped to the girl's shoulders.

I had to say, pretty boy Justin also came across as a heart-breaker. I wasn't sure if he was a slut like Davien, but the girls at CJ's were always goggling over him. He spent a lot of his time with Vince and I realized they were just as close as Scott and Davien were to each other. When Justin and Vince would sit at the table, all of the girls just pointed at Justin and giggled like young girls pointing out their first crush. Vince preferred the more mature ladies. The ones that didn't look as trampy as the ones that followed Davien around the bar.

The crowd was growing and the sounds we getting louder as Scott and Davien grabbed their things “Ready, Bro?” Scott pulled Davien's eyes from me. As they walked to the stage, Davien looked over his shoulder and took one last glance at me and shook his head.

The blue lights shined over the guys as they grabbed their things from the stage. Vince pulling his hair back tighter as he walked behind the drums, Justin managed to break free from his adoring fan and grabbed his bass guitar from its stand and Scott did the same with his guitar. The center man approached the mic. “How's everyone doin' tonight?” Davien screamed over the eager crowd and everyone gave a loud applause “Let's have some fun.” His whole demeanor changed where he left my side.

The music started immediately and Scott winked at Natalia causing her to jump to her feet and scream like the other girls. “C'mon girl, lets dance a little.” The place was packed, everyone was crammed in their own corners. I stepped to the floor at Natalia's wishes and immediately felt the shots take over my body. “You okay girl?”

I nodded my head. “Yep, I'm cool.” I lied. My stomach was queasy and my head was blocked from reality. Natalia pulled at my hand, trying to steady me until we reached the same dance area that Davien and I had shared together only weeks ago. She rocked to the music alone and I followed her moves. I felt like a carefree woman for once. I was beyond mad at Davien, I was pissed, but I was having a blast between Natalia and I.

I let loose as I felt the drinks getting stronger. She moved alongside me and the song was upbeat. It was a new song that I had been playing on my iPod and I knew every word. Davien's voice made those words better, much better. But I tried to block his raspy voice from the song. He was driving me wild, mixing my emotions until I was sick.

I was so caught up in the song and the state of my alert, I started dancing more and more with my eyes closed slightly. Holding Natalia's hand for dear life. She held me tight, knowing that my body was in no condition to steady itself. I trusted her moves and she lowered her hands to my waist.

We were grinding together to the beat of Vince's drums when a loud noise came over the speaker. My eyes opened instantly and I watched as Davien jumped from the stage. He had dropped the mic to the floor and was running my way but Natalia made no attempt to move from my waist. My eyes darted from Davien, then across the way to Natalia's. Wait Natalia? I turned around and noticed a lanky light haired man standing behind me.  I pulled from his arms forcefully. The room was instantly quiet as if there was not a single person in the building. “Take her to the fucking bathroom Natalia.” Davien screamed at the top of his lungs. I squint my eyes as I watched Natalia running towards me. Everything was a big blur when she grabbed my hand and started pulling me towards the back hallway. I tried to pull back, wanting to watch the scene. I wanted to know what was going on. I could hear Davien's yelling loudly over the crowd “Justin...” On one last peak, I saw Davien on his knees squatting as he straddled the lanky man. I could see from my view that he was screaming at the man and his fist was in the air...... and then the bathroom door closed.

Natalia stood in the middle of the bathroom staring at me and I just squint my eyes at the blurry vision. I couldn't make out what was going on. “What is happening Natalia?”

“What do you mean?” She yelled back with an angry voice.

“What is going on? Why is Davien acting like this?” I cried out .

“Are you fucking serious, Avery? The man had his arms around your waist and he had your dress pulled up high enough to show the world your underwear. Glad to see you wore some at least. His hand was half way down your panties when I noticed him. Before I could make my way through the crowd, Davien was already jumping off the stage.”

“Who? Justin's hand? Justin was dancing? What are you talking about?” I was confused.

“Justin? No some guy in the audience. Justin and Davien are probably beating the shit out of him though.”

“What the hell does Justin have to do with this?”

“Let's say Justin does some dirty underground fighting and the man won't be walking out tonight with you on his side.” Her brows were flaming high on her face.

Davien ran into the bathroom and grabbed me, pulling me to his chest. He was out of breath and his chest was pounding. “What the fuck?” He pushed away to look at my face. His bloodied hands gripped at my cheeks as he looked into my eyes. “What the hell were you thinking, Avery?”
