A week had passed since my meeting with Jackson, and the feeling that I was being watched never returned. It was a relief—but also unnerving—that I never found out what was causing it.

I was just about ready to go for a lunch break when I got a text message from a number I didn’t recognize.

Shall I tell Jag your little secret?

Unable to look away from my phone, I felt the pit of my stomach drop out and shivers course through my spine as I read those words over and over.
