“You’ve g
ot your work cut out for you, Q,

she said,
as they sauntered into the main room.

“I’ve got a little help coming. First thing in the morning, I’ll have the cleaning people out.”

“When are you
officially
moving in?”

“Tonight. I won’t have to pay another red cent to that pricey hotel I’ve been staying in. I may ha
ve to sleep on the floor
, but hey, I’ll go shopping tomorrow for a nice, comfy bed.”

“I would get lonely in here all by myself,” Julissa walked through the dining room and looked up at the glass chandelier, gleaming in the
afternoon sun
light. “I wanted to ask what one man would do with so much space.”

“M
ove in with me
then.”

One look at him revealed that he was absolutely serious. “You know that is not an option.” Julissa walked into the huge kit
chen. Her stilettos made click-
clacking noises
on the tile, echoing through the empty space
.

Quinton placed a paper bag
on the counter. He pulled out a bottle of wine and two plastic champagne glasses. “Hope you don’t mind the plastic. At least until I get some real dishes in here.”

“This is just fine.”

Quinton popped the top of the bottle of champagn
e and filled both their cups
with it.

“A to
ast?” Quinton handed one to her and picked up the other
for himself. “A toast to new beginnings.”

“To new beginnings.”
They toasted, and then peered over their cups at each other as they drank
.

Quinton placed his empty glass on the counter and pulled another item out of his bag. The box was covered in black velvet. It was way to
o
large to store a ring, but Julissa had seen enough to know that the box contained some type of jewelry.

“For you.” Quinton handed the box to her.

Smiling, she accepted it. “Q, you didn’t have to.”

“I wanted to. Without your help, I couldn’t have gotten a better deal on this house.
” he said.
“O
pen it.”

Julissa lifted the lid and almost dropped the entire box. Inside was a diamond necklace. The platinum base was thick platinum and was the type worn just below the collar bone. It sparkled and gleamed from the light above them.

“It’s beautiful.” She lifted the necklace out of the box and placed it against her chest.

“Like you.
” Q
uinton reached for the necklace.
“Let me.”

Julissa held her hair up as he fastened the necklace on her. She didn’t miss the tingl
es that shot down her spine as his fingers grazed across t
he back of her neck. “Perfect.”

“I love this, Quinton. But, you know

“I know, Lissa. Don’t say it. If you want, you can keep it here and wear it when you’re with me.”

“Q…” she started. How could she tell him that she planned to never see him again?

Quinton reached in his bag again and the words that were on the tip of her tongue were forgotten. This time it was a box wrapped in red shiny paper. “For you, too.”

“Thank you, Q, for the necklace. And for this. But

“Open it, please. This one, you can take with you…”

Julissa peeled the wrapper off the box to reveal a bottle of the perfume that she always wore. In fact, she was wearing it right now.

“How did you know?”

“The smell. With the help of the sales lady, I finally found the one you wore.” Quinton lifted his hands to her face. “Even now, you smell so good.” He pulled her face closer to his.

“Q, I don’t want to hurt anyone. I don’t want to hurt you.”

“The only way you can hurt me is if you refuse to see me like you did this past week.” He moved in to kiss her.

Julissa didn’t protest. She kissed him back. Just one more time
. One more time. And then she’d
let it be over.

He senses things.”

“Forget about him when you’re with me. Or better yet, leave him.” He sucked on her lower lips softly.

“It’s not as easy as you think.” She stepped into
his arms and sighed as
his body
pressed
against hers.

T
hey kissed
aggressive
ly
and her hands were all over his body. Down the front of his pants, squeezing his ass, and running her palms across his chest. Likewise, his hands were moving all over her. He was already making love to her lips, face, neck, and shoulders with his lips and tongue
.

Catching her off guard, Quinton lifted her and placed her on the
center island.
His lips were still on her neck.

Julissa didn’t know what had happened to her, but she was already trying to undo his zipper. The dic
k she had been yearning for
was hidden in his pants. She couldn’t wait to see it again. When she reached down to cup him, he groaned. He returned the favor by spreading her legs, moving her panties aside and inserting two fingers inside her pussy. She immediately arched her back to meet his fingers as th
ey moved in and out of her
.

“Who’s been messing around with my pussy, Lissa?” he whispered into her neck.

“I…Ooooo
.

His thumb circled her clit, slowly, softly.

“Who?”

“No one pleases me like you, Q. No one.” His finger
s were working magic on her, and her juices soaked
the seat of her panties, as she became aroused.

Julissa moved her pelvis in sync with his fingers.

“That’s right, Lissa. Work that pussy for me.”

“Are you gonna make me come
, baby?”

“You know I always do.” Quinton reached behind her and unzipped the back of her skirt. Lifting her up, they both removed her clothes until she was naked on top of his island. He licked his lips before he dove his head b
etween her legs. His tongue entered her pussy.

One thing was for sure…this man loved to eat pussy and he was extremely good at it. There was no schooling him on staying in tempo. There was no pushing or pulling on him to get him to lick softer or harder. He had the art of pussy licking down to a science. Moments later she was screaming his name as she came. Without
lifting her up, he entered her
. The more she moan
ed and screamed the
harder he fucked her.

“Is it good, Lissa?”

“Yes!”

“You like the way I fuck you, huh?”

“Yes!”

He lifted both her legs on to his shoulder and moved her hips forward in tempo.

“Are you gonna talk that shit again about breaking us up?”

“Noooo!”

“That’s good, because I promise that I’ll never stop fucking you.” He spread her legs, moving faster,
watching as her breasts bounce
up and down.
“That’s a promise I intend to keep.”

“Don’t ever stop..
.”

“Whose fuckin’ pussy is this?”

“It’s all yours.”

“Who
se
?”

“Quinton.

Her entire body trembled the moment she came, making
her pussy clamp around his
dick like a suction on a vacuum. Muffling the sound of his groans by biting into her ankles, he came long and hard.

When she realized that she’d stayed longer than she was supposed to she hurriedly pulled on her clothes.

“Have you made amends with your girlfriend, yet?” Julissa w
as straightening up her blouse.

He leaned against the kitchen sink and peered over the glass of water in his hand.
“You’re my girlfriend, right?”

“Let’s be real, Q.”

“I am being real. Really, I broke up with my girlfriend way before I moved here. We agreed to be friends. She wanted me back, but I closed that chapter in my life the moment she betrayed me. And when I met you, I knew that it was completely over between she and I. Besides you,
Lissa, there is no other woman for me.

“How did she betray you?” Julissa had never bothered to ask what happened between he and his last girlfriend.

Quinton turned his back, rinsed th
e glass
and placed it inside the sink. It was moments before he spoke again. “She was cheating on me.”

“What?”
Julissa
gasped
.

Wasn’t she just as unworthy as a girlfriend than his last girlfriend was? Why was he allowing himself to be cheated on all over again? Julissa placed her hand on his back and he turned around. His eyes looked sad, but that didn’t stop him from taking her
by the waist
and moving her body into his.

“Q, tell me wh
y you want this. W
h
y would you want to deal with this
again?”

“Because I love you.”

Julissa squeezed her eyes shut.
She loved him too, but she didn’t want to hurt him.
“Don’t say that!” How could they have both let their
feelings and emotions take over?

“I’m sorry. I can’t control my feelings, no more than you can control yours. Do you want me? Do you want this?”

“I want to be with you, yes.”

“Are you afraid?
” Quinton lifted her chin, forcing her to look in his eyes. “Look at me.”
He kissed her on the chin
. “Are you afraid to leave your fiancé for me?”

S
he nodded.

“Why?”

“Q, this thing started out as sexual between you and I. I didn’t know that I’d be standing here with you right now, still cheating on my fiancé.”

“I didn’t know either. I want to tell you the truth. Okay? And please don’t be mad at me.”

She nodded her head and gave Quinton her undivided attention.

“That first day I saw you walk into the hotel, I was willing to do anything to get to know you. Those few minutes that we talked to each other I knew that fate had brought us together for a reason. Not only were you an attractive woman who made my heart beat faster when I looked at you, I also found out you were a very successful realtor.
Me…a real estate investor. You…a realtor. The possibilities were endless. I just knew we’d be good tonight.
So, I thought, maybe I could have you to myself and expand my real estate inve
stment business in the process.
I’m a motivated professional, and I love seeing my business grow.

“It was a win-win, wasn’t it?” Julissa agreed.

He nodded. “
I found out
you had a boyfriend. He looked
like a pretty good guy. Appeared that he had
lots
of money and it looked
like he’d
been doing a good job of taking care of you. I knew the competition was tough. One part of me wanted to leave you alone right then and another part of me just couldn’t let you go. I didn’t have anything to lose because I was a single man in a new city. I thought…if she would…then I would, too. So, I made the move. One kiss was all it took and I knew from that moment that it would not be the last.

“Our first kiss…at the night club.” It was a moment she could reminisce on forever and still get butterflies in her stoma
ch just from thinking about it.

He smiled. “I still remember that night. The way you kissed me so passionately.
I was so mad at myself for falling for you. I thought, if this woman would cheat on her fiancé, then she would do it to m
e. Just like Melanie—
my last girlfriend. But, I didn’t want to sto
p seeing you
, I couldn’t stop. I won’t stop. See the difference betwe
en this relationship and my previous one
, is that I love you. Every part of me loves you. I don’t know what’s going on between you and him. I sense
that there is something wrong…something so wrong…
that you come to me and
we do this week after week. So
if I have to wait my turn to have you, I will, Lissa. But, I ask you one thing…please don’t make me wait too long.”

Julissa hugged him, burying her head in his chest. It was all she could do, because no
words would come
. This man had just poured out his heart to her and she had absolutely nothing to say. Although, there was someth
ing she needed to get off her chest.
