EPILOGUE

Packing the last bag into the car, I stand back and watch as Jeremy buckles the twins and Haidee in.

Once that’s done, we drive off to Edie and Jackson’s.  It’s Easter morning and the kids are all excited for the giant egg hunt we have planned.

After unloading the bags and bags of chocolate I brought, I place the twins into the stroller and let Haidee down to toddle off after her brother and cousins.

“Everyone’s out back, Aunty Ava,” Olive informs me.

“Thanks, sweetie.”

“Hi, everyone!” I say, giving a wave, while pushing the twins one-handed.

“Gosh, they’re growing so quickly, aren’t they?” Rhonda says, coming over to peer in at the twins.

“They don’t stay babies for long,” Dory agrees.

I make my way over to where the girls are sitting on the grass with the little ones.

Charlie and Ivie still aren’t walking yet, but they’re getting close.  Haidee started last week, and I think that was only because Oscar spent hours every day teaching her.  I would have been happy if she held off for a bit longer, but he was excited to teach her something, so I let them go.

Olive runs squealing past me with Banjo, Max and Ella chasing behind her.  I look up to see what they’re running from and find Oscar wielding a garden hose, spraying them.

I sit down on the picnic rug and lift Lila and Jagger down to lie on their tummies near Edie’s eight-month old daughter, Brooklyn.

Finally, I look to the girls and sigh happily, albeit tiredly.  “Happy Easter.”

The girls laugh and reply with their own well wishes.

“How’s Sebastian feeding now?” I ask Laura, as I look down at her beautiful ten-day old son, cradled in her arms.

“He’s latching on, thankfully.  And he’s gained weight this week, so I’d say it’s a success.”

As I look around, I can’t help but marvel at how large our family has grown in the last few years, and I wonder how much bigger it will become.

There is so much love, so much support and so much happiness, that I’m not sure there is anywhere else more perfect in the entire world.

“Oh my lord!  Who is
that?
” Jules gasps, pointing over to the side of the house.  We all turn to look and my eyes widen when I spot the spot the tall, dark, unbelievably sexy man walking across the lawn.

Holy shit
.

“Wowza,” Laura says.

“He’s hot,” Edie agrees.

“No shit,” Sienna chimes in.

“Oh my god! He’s with my sister,” I gape.

Kennedy walks over to us, leaving the guy with the men.  Plopping down beside me, she lifts Lila into her arms and plants a kiss on her cheek, before reaching over to tickle Jagger’s belly.

We all stare at her in silence, waiting for an explanation.  When she doesn’t say anything, I can’t refrain any longer.

“Who is that?” I ask.

“That’s Kye,” she answers simply.

I give wide eyes to all the girls and I know we’re all thinking the same thing.

We can’t wait to hear that story!

THE END.

I hope you enjoyed reading both Sienna & Zeke, and Ava & Jeremy’s journeys.  If you did, please consider leaving a review.

Next up in the Down Under Cowboy Series is Cowboy Redemption (Kennedy & Kye).  Coming in 2015!
