Ruby Falls (24 page)

“Fuck, baby. Your skin’s so soft.” His hand slid up, under the hem, and he slid down, his mouth pressing kisses on her belly.

She loved the way he touched her, but suddenly she wanted her turn to play. She rolled, pushing him to his back, and her mouth came down on his belly. She heard the hiss of his intake of breath, and his hands gently glided over the hair on her head. She trailed a path of kisses lower to his belly button and down, her hand reaching for the fastening of his jeans. She found the top button was already undone, so she moved to the zipper. Spreading his fly apart, she pulled his cock out, and her eyes met his as he looked down his chest at her. Then her tongue slid out and licked him from bottom to top.

His hands fisted in her hair, and he hissed, “Christ, Jess.”

Encouraged, she closed her mouth around him and watched as his head fell back against the bed, the muscles in his arms solid as he fought to keep from pulling her against him. He groaned as she sank on him. “Sweet Jesus, you’re a fast learner, sweetheart.”

Steve rolled Summer to her stomach and putting a hand under her, he pulled her up to her hands and knees. He moved behind her, his knees spreading hers apart on the bed, then he pulled her upright, his hands running over her corset and breasts. One arm wrapped tight around her waist, his forearm locking solid and pulling her back against him. “Put your arms around my neck.”

She lifted her arms, circling them around his neck and turning her face to nuzzle his throat. He dipped his head, giving her the access she sought and pressing a trail of kisses along her shoulder. His other arm came around her, his hand stroking along her stocking and then tracing the edge until his fingers were between her spread thighs, stroking her. “You’re wet again. You ready for me so soon, baby?” he whispered in her ear.

She nodded into the curve of his throat. “Yes, honey.” She arched her body, the curve of her ass rubbing back against him. Begging with her body for him again.

“Want you to come again, before I take you once more.” His fingers moved, stroking. He felt her thighs try to clamp together trying to gain firmer contact with his hand. He held them apart with his knees and his forearm tightened around her ribs. She bucked as his fingers teased her. “You like that, baby, huh?”

“God, yes. Yes.”

“Show me how much,” he growled in her ear. She clenched her hands around his neck, straining toward his touch, rocking against him. His arm around her waist moved up across her breasts, and his hand clamped on her throat, pushing her jaw up as his mouth came down on hers. He held her tight as he brought her to climax, swallowing her moan as she bucked and then melted back against him. He took her in his arms supporting her weight until she settled. Then he whispered in her ear. “Down on your knees, chest to the bed, baby. Gonna take you now.”

She lowered to her hands and knees, and he pressed his palm between her shoulder blades. “Down to the bed, baby. Ass in the air.” She complied, and he leaned over her, grabbing another condom off the nightstand. He tore it open, and put it on. His hands moved over her thighs. and he slipped a forefinger under each garter strap and snapped them. She jumped, and he chuckled, “Damn, baby. Those are so sexy.”

“Glad you like them, honey,” she murmured, twisting her head to look at him over her shoulder.

He grinned, and his hands clamped over her hipbones, and he thrust into her in one surging stroke. He slid out and rammed back in.

She groaned.

“You like that, sweetheart?” he asked and did it again.

“Yes. Harder.”

He slid out and slammed back in. “Whatever the lady wants.”

Cary moved over Jessie, gliding in and out, trying to be gentle.

“Cary, please,” she pleaded.

“Please what?”

“I…I don’t know, I just need…”

“What do you need, Jess? Tell me.” He continued gliding in and out.

“More.”

“More?” he asked, his eyes searching hers. “You mean harder?” He slid out and slammed back in.

“Yes, I guess.”

“You guess?” He grinned.

“Where’s that tiger you said I awakened?”

“You want it a little rough, baby? You sure you’re ready for that?”

“I don’t know. I think so.”

He grinned and kissed her. “You tell me to stop if it’s too much, yeah?”

She nodded.

He pulled out and moved to the end of the bed. He grabbed her ankles and yanked her to the edge. She gasped as she slid across the sheets. Then he grabbed her up and flipped her onto her stomach, pulling her hips to the edge of the mattress and wedging her legs apart with his knees. He leaned over her, pressing his chest to her back. He slid an arm under her hips yanking her back against him as he thrust into her. His mouth came to her ear. “You know what those texts of yours did to me?” he asked slamming into her. “Huh? Do you?”

“No, Cary. Tell me,” she gasped.

“Tellin’ me you were gonna torture me.” He slammed into her. “If I was good.” He slammed into her again. “This good, Jess, huh?” His hand slid between her legs, stroking her.

“Hmm, Cary. That feels so good.”

“Yeah? How good, baby? Want to hear you tell me.”

“Great. Better than great.”

He nuzzled her ear. “As good as your mouth felt on my cock?”

“Cary…please.”

He pulled out and yanked her up to her feet, then he grabbed her waist and tossed her onto her back on the bed. He came down on top of her, grabbing her wrists and pinning her to the bed. “Can you still handle the tiger, baby-doll?”

“Yes.”

His hands released hers, and his arms moved to hook her behind her knees. He pulled up, pushing her back against the bed, pinning her, and then he plunged into her again. “Done playin’, Jess.”

She reached up, took his face in her palms, and pulled him down, lifting her head to kiss him. He groaned into her mouth and rocked against her, increasing his tempo until sweat was glistening on him, and he was breathing hard. His eyes locked with hers and he thrust in one last glide and went solid. “Jess,” he groaned, collapsing against her.

Steve pulled Summer closer against him, his arms wrapping around her. She snuggled closer, her head resting on his chest as he lay on his back. He idly stroked his fingertips up and down her back. He pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Meant what I said, earlier,” he murmured into her hair.

“About opening a charge card?” she teased, smiling into his chest, and pressing a kiss there.

He chuckled, his chest rumbling under her. “That, too. But I was talking about you letting me know if something comes of us not using a condom that first time.”

“Oh.”

He twisted his head to look down at her and tugged on her hair to get her to tip her head back and look at him. “Other than pregnancy, you got nothin’ to worry about sweetheart. I swear.”

“Okay. You don’t either.”

He grinned. “Good to know. Not that I was worried.”

“If there’s a baby…”

“You’ll tell me. You will not hide that shit from me, understand?”

She nodded.

“We’ll deal with it.”

“Deal with it?”

“Hey?” He turned on his side, taking her face in his hand. “I didn’t mean it like that. A baby is always a good thing, no matter how it comes about. So, get that shit out of your head.”

“Okay.”

He searched her eyes. “Let’s lighten the mood.” He pressed a soft kiss to her lips. “Just want to say again, I really appreciated that gift you got me.” He grinned at her, his hand sliding down over her naked body.

She smiled. “You’re welcome.”

“I’m gonna have to think up some way to return the favor.”

“I think you did that already.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“You sure? I could take care of you again, if you need. You just say the word.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.”

He grinned. “Hey?”

“Yes?”

“Thanks for everything you did for Jessie. It meant a lot that she had another woman to help her with all that shit.”

“All that shit?”

“Girlie-shit. You know what I mean.”

She grinned. “Yeah. I know what you mean.”

He ran the backs of his fingers down her cheek, and her smile faded. “She’s not the only one that likes having you around, Summer.”

“Good to know,” she smiled.

“Can I tell you something?” he asked, getting serious.

She searched his eyes. “Alright.”

“Don’t know if you want me bringin’ her up, especially not here and now, but I think it’s important you know.”

“What?”

“You’re the first woman I’ve had in this bed since Rita.”

“You mean you haven’t-”

He shook his head. “Not sayin’ there haven’t been women. There have. Not a lot. A few. But never here. Never in this bed.”

“Steve-”

“Not tryin’ to put anything heavy on you. Not sure how you feel. Just wanted you to know I don’t take this lightly. I’m not just playing with you.”

She laid her head on his chest and slipped her arm around his abs, holding him tight.

He kissed the top of her head. “Sleep, baby.”

Chapter Fourteen

It was Saturday afternoon the following week, and Steve, Summer and Pop were headed in Steve’s pickup truck to town for the annual fall festival called Harvest Fest. Cary and Jessie were following behind in his pickup.

Cary looked over at Jessie. She was looking out her window. He slid his hand across the bench seat and took her hand in his, lacing their fingers. She turned, looked at him and smiled. He would have pulled her across the seat to sit next to him, but they were within sight of Steve’s truck. They had to be content holding hands. “You look real pretty tonight, Jessie.” He lifted their hands, kissing the back of hers.

She smiled at him, her chin tilting up. “Thank you.”

He returned their hands to the seat, and his eyes slid down over her. The hot-pink strapless sundress looked beautiful against her long dark hair and tanned skin. It fit like a glove and came to just above her knees. Of course, sitting in the truck, the hem was hiked up to somewhere mid-thigh, and Cary was having a hard time keeping his eyes on the road. He couldn’t believe her father had let her leave the house dressed like that. Of course,
his
eyes had been on the pretty little dress Summer had come out in, so he may not have even noticed what Jessie had on. At least she’d brought along a demure little sweater to cover up her bare shoulders. Now Cary just had to try to get her to put it on later. “The boys sure are going to be circling you tonight…like bees to honey.”

“Would you be jealous?”

He looked over at her. “Is that what you want? You want me to get into a fistfight over you?”

“You already have.”

“That’s not what I meant, Jess. He deserved everything he got and more. I’m talking about being ready to fight anybody that looks twice at you.”

She looked at him and said quietly. “No, that’s not what I want.”

Cary didn’t say anything.

“I’m not interested in any of them.”

Cary turned and looked out his window. “Maybe you should be.”

“Cary, don’t start that, please.”

“What? You’re young. You should be having fun with people your own age.”

“Are you going to act this way all night?”

“Maybe.”

They drove in silence for a few miles. Finally, Cary glanced over at her. He could see her eyes were glazed with tears. “Hey?” She wouldn’t look at him. He reached over and turned her chin to face him. “I’m sorry. Okay?”

She nodded, but remained quiet the rest of the trip.

The sun was just going down as Steve pulled down Main Street with Cary right behind him. They drove through town, turning right on First Avenue. Then continued on to the edge of town where the festival site was set up at the large 4H barn and attached acreage. Steve parked in a large gravel lot. Cary pulled in the spot next to them and they all got out and walked towards the festival.

There was a carnival set up, and arts and crafters. Summer looked around in awe. She saw booths with quilts, baked goods, jams and jellies, woodcrafts, candle making, everything you could imagine. There were food vendors. She saw some selling fresh squeezed lemonade, apple cider, barbecue, and roasted corn. It all smelled so good.

They wandered through the vendors. Pop stopped to talk to some friends. Jessie pulled Cary over to the carnival games, and Summer and Steve laughed as they watched Cary try to win her a stuffed bear. He lost five bucks before Jessie took a turn and won on the first shot.

“Show off!” Cary said, rubbing the bear in her face.

She shrieked and ran off with Cary hot on her heels, bear in hand.

Summer pulled Steve toward the Ferris wheel, and they took a ride. From the top, Summer spotted Miss Myra at the cotton candy vendor and called to her, waving.

At first Myra glanced around wondering who was talking to her, until Steve whistled and called, “Hey, beautiful, up here.” She glanced up, and they both waved to her. She smiled and waved back.

“So, you’ve met Myra, huh?” Steve asked Summer.

She turned to him and smiled. “Yes, I went in her shop. She’s a nice lady.”

“Yes, she is. I’ve always had a soft spot for her. She was always nice to me. I don’t think there’s a mean bone in her body,”

After the ride, they got off and wandered around some more. Steve spotted one of his neighbors and left Summer at the quilt display to go say hello.

Summer admired all the detailed handwork involved in making the exquisite works of art.

“Well, dear, you and Steve seemed to be having a wonderful time.” Summer turned to see Myra, cotton candy in hand.

“Hello, Myra. How are you?” she greeted her with a smile.

“Oh, I’m having a wonderful time. I just love Harvest Fest. It’s so much fun. I feel like a girl again.”

“Yes, I’m having a good time, too.”

“You and Steve seem to be getting along,” Myra commented with a sly smile.

Summer blushed. “Yes, we have been.”

“Don’t blush like a school girl, I highly approve of the match.”
