Sassy Shifter Brides: Complete Series - BBW Paranormal Shapeshifter Mail-Order Romance (31 page)

Tyler’s expression fell a little at the sight of Sabra’s fury, but before either of the brothers had a chance to say anything, the sound of several trucks speeding to the site broke their concentration. In a flash, Warren, Deacon, Rake, Slate and a slew of other Shifter Grove locals were on the scene, helping the wounded and rushing to Sabra and the wolves.

“Sabra, we can talk about this later,” Trey said with a low voice, regretfully letting Sam go as Deacon put his hand on his shoulder and gently but firmly had him step away from the wounded Blacktooth. Uncertainty broiled in Sabra’s gut, but she released her deadly grip on the crowbar when Warren reached for it, turning to talk to him about what had happened.

What the hell is going on here?
she wondered, a hint of terror taking place in the pit of her stomach. Kissing two brothers, being part of a fight and now learning that things might not be quite as they seemed, was frankly a bit much for just one day.

CHAPTER SEVEN

It was another couple of hours before all of them could make their way back to the house. Trey had just about demanded to go to the construction site, but Warren had told him that there was really nothing to do at the moment. They’d controlled the fire until it ran out of kindling and made sure it didn’t spread to the thick woods around the lot. Kacey had been adamant about checking out both of the Warfangs before she’d let them go home, though unsurprisingly, they’d got only mild wounds. It was amazing to watch how they healed. The gash on Trey’s ear was almost completely healed by the time Kacey let them go, and the rest of his cuts and bruises were looking like they’d soon be gone as well. Even Warren had been impressed – Alpha pairs sure had it good as far as strength and healing went.

The drive back to the house had been spent in complete silence, Sabra seated between the brothers, and both of the men staring out in front of themselves wordlessly. It was dawn when they finally parked in front of the house, all exhausted but unable to sleep because of everything that had happened. When Sabra walked into the kitchen, she had to suppress a groan. Their dinner was still laid out on the table, and aside from a couple of leaves that had been blown in by the wind and the smell of a certain ranch house burning filling the dining room, everything was just as they had left it. She sat down heavily at the table, resting her head on her arms. It felt good to just be still for a moment, not having the world toss and tumble around her.

“So, does anyone want to tell me what’s going on here? What were those wolves on about? Did they burn the ranch house down because of me?” Sabra finally asked when no answers seemed to be coming forth without coaxing. She glanced up, catching the brothers eyeing one another with a look that told her they were trying to determine who would draw the shorter straw. Finally, Trey sighed and turned towards Sabra. He was covered in soot, and dried flakes of blood still lingered on his skin. His shirt was ripped, and just a second ago, he had looked like the most furious man in the world. Now, she could only read solemn worry on his face.

“Yes, they probably did think they were burning the place down because of you,” he started levelly. “We haven’t been completely honest with you, Sabra.” The confession made her sit up straight and take notice.

“That is to say, we haven’t lied, but we could have told you more before things got so far,” Tyler continued. Side by side, they were so damnably handsome that it was difficult focusing on their serious conversation instead of imagining what she could do to the two of them. Sabra pushed her hair back and fell against the back of the chair with a sigh, clearing her mind. This better be good.

“And by that you mean…?” Sabra asked, looking from one wolf to the other. Tyler and Trey shared a look, and Trey grinned a little, his white teeth flashing.

“Before we fell in love with you, Sabra.”

Sabra blinked, her mouth falling open. Love?
Love?
Were they really saying that? And ‘we’, as in ‘they’? Both of them? She inhaled sharply, her heartbeat buzzing in her ears. This day was going into all sorts of unexpected directions.

“Hear us out. I found you on SassyDate, and I got an immediate feeling about you. I thought you could be the one, and the more we talked, the more I was sure of it. So I asked you to come over, figuring that if things didn’t work out between the three of us, then at least we’d get some competent help on the construction. As luck may have it, I wasn’t wrong. You
are
the one. Our third. The one we’ve been searching for but never expected to find,” Tyler continued, smiling softly.

“Whoa, back it up! Your third?” Sabra asked, still not sure if this was a dream and maybe she was laying face-down passed out from smoke inhalation somewhere, or if it was actually happening to her. Two insanely attractive brothers telling her that they both wanted her? Madness.

“Yes, our third,” Trey picked up. “We are an Alpha twin pair. Our powers are only complete if we find our third – the woman who ties us together and finishes our Alpha triad. It has never felt right before until I met you, Sabra. It’s like you’re the piece missing between me and Tyler, the one woman, who could smooth out our differences and make us work together as an unbeatable team. And not just that. I don’t know if I can put this into words, but I’ve never wanted anyone as badly, as desperately as I want you.”

“And so do I. Just the sight of you takes my breath away, Sabra. I didn’t want to tell you why I called you here at first, and that’s why I kept my distance as well. We both had to be sure, and we wanted to give you enough time to get to know both of us before we confront you with something this big. But when you said you’d connected with Trey and that you had feelings for the both of us, well, I knew you must have felt the chemistry, the bond between the three of us as well.”

“So what are you saying?” Sabra asked breathlessly, her vision blurring at the edges a bit.

“We’re saying that you’re our mate, Sabra, the woman who completes our Alpha triad, the one that makes us whole. You are what the Blacktooths were afraid of – the power you bring us. If you’ll have us, if you’re willing to try, we would love a chance to show you what our life together could be like.”

“Simply, we’re asking for a chance to love you, Sabra,” Trey finished softly.

“…Both of you?” she came back to the thing that rocked her world the most. How could they be saying that? Had she bonked her head during the fight? Was this heaven? It sure looked like it, even if it didn’t smell like it.

Trey chuckled, exchanging a glance with Tyler, and then both of their gazes were solidly back on her, emerald green and piercing right through her.

“Both of us,” Tyler confirmed, standing up from the arm of the couch he had been leaning on. Like two predators stalking their prey, the men rounded the table at opposite ends and came to stand beside Sabra’s chair, making her sink into it a little as she stared up at them.

“But how’s it going to work?” she asked breathlessly, tingling all over as she spoke the words. It wasn’t
if
it was going to work, it was
how
. The biggest problem for her had been how she could make herself choose between two different kinds of perfection, and now here she was, being offered both, no questions asked. Like a kid at a candy store, she couldn’t see a downside to it. Especially considering her feelings for both of them.

“Well, we’re just going to have to see, won’t we,” Trey said gruffly, his voice holding that low growl of a wolf that she’d heard strumming at the back of his throat before. He leant down, and before Sabra knew what was happening, his lips were on her mouth, putting an end to all her questions. Tyler’s hand went to her shoulder and then brushed up lightly along her neck and into her hair, making her shudder. She grabbed for Tyler’s arm, her nails digging into his skin as Trey’s tongue darted into her mouth, jostling against hers and teasing her with what was to come. Finally, Trey pulled away a little, leaving her aching for his touch, only to be replaced by Tyler’s mouth. True to form, Tyler’s kiss was more raw and demanding, as if attacking her, whereas Trey’s lips had almost caressed her. She inhaled sharply, losing her grip on reality as their kisses shook her world.

Tyler pulled back, and for a second, she was completely on her own. No lips against hers, no silky touch on her skin. She desperately wanted them back, touching her, taunting her, taking her.

“So, what’s it going to be, Sabra? Will you give us a chance?” Tyler asked, his sandy-blonde hair catching the first rays of the sunrise slinking into the living room. Sabra didn’t need to think about it. Every fiber of her being was yelling, screaming
yes
, yes, please, right now! She grinned, standing up from the table and slipping her hands into their palms.

“Yes,” she said simply, and she knew immediately that it was going to be the best decision she had ever made.

CHAPTER EIGHT

By the time they crashed into Trey’s bedroom, Sabra didn’t know whose hands were where, and who was kissing her mouth or neck. It scarcely seemed to matter. She’d lost her shirt somewhere on the trek from the living room to the bedroom, which had taken them about five times as long as it should have due to the constant breaks they needed to take against just about every solid object that could support their weight. When the bedroom door slammed open, and Tyler tossed her on the silky sheets, Sabra had to breathe a sigh of relief. At least now she could hopefully focus a little on the men and her good fortune and not just be swept away by every touch, nibble and kiss that was being laid on her. Though there was nothing wrong with that either.

“Oh my god, I can’t believe this is happening.” The air was electric. All three of them burned for each other with the kind of hunger that comes from wanting something for far,
far
too long, having it dangled in front of them and not handed to them despite desperately needing it. Now, they were all going to have their fill. Sabra moaned as Trey unbuttoned her jeans and pulled them off of her, not bothering to be coy about it. There was no room for shyness anymore. She raised her hips as the jeans were peeled off of her, and her stomach knotted at the look of pure hunger that Trey gave her.

“Fuck, you’re gorgeous,” Tyler exclaimed, pulling his shirt off and diving back down to kiss her mouth and chin. She caught a glimpse of his rippling abs and narrow waist, tucking into a delicious Adonis belt that called to be worshipped. Her fingers went to his belt, undoing the loop quickly and then unzipping the front. Butterfly kisses were being rained down on her thick thighs and belly, and she mumbled a sigh of relief as Tyler tore off her shirt. For a second, the men simply looked at her, admiring her lush curves and the silkiness of her chocolate skin. Instead of feeling self-conscious about the looks they were giving her, she felt empowered, beautiful. Sabra could still hardly wrap her mind around the fact that these two strong, amazing men both wanted her and that they were willing to do anything for her, but god, she wasn’t complaining, not one bit.

“Are you ready for this?” Trey asked, his deep voice sending a ripple of need through her. Sabra caught her lower lip between her lips and nodded, her dark curls cascading around her head on the sheets.

“Yes. Please! I want both of you,” she half-whispered, the power of the words knocking the breath out of her. The brothers smiled wickedly – wolfish grins that sent a shiver down her spine.

“What the lady wants, the lady must have,” Tyler murmured, leaning back down to kiss her. Sabra moaned into his mouth as his tongue slipped into hers, exploring it with a sense of ownership as Tyler’s hand slid behind her back and undid the clasp on her red, lacy bra with playful ease. Sabra shrugged off the garment just as Trey got rid of his shirt and jeans and his fingers hooked behind the delicate fabric of her panties. She allowed them to be removed, desperate for their touches.

Tyler’s rough, big hands traced a trail down her chest, stopping at the blushing peaks of her nipples, circling the delicate nubs with his coarse fingertips. Sabra sucked in a breath as she felt her nipples harden under his touch, and then, she moaned loudly as Trey spread her legs and his hot tongue tasted her for the first time. All her logic and her reasoning, the pillars she had built her life on, drifted into the background of her mind and gave room for emotion and desire. Trey fanned the flames of her need with his tongue, parting the wet folds of her sex as he explored her, taunting and teasing. Sabra’s thighs shuddered, and her whole body felt charged, the two men knowing exactly how to make her wail with need.

Tyler pinched her nipples and Sabra yelped, drawing a little chuckle from Tyler.

“How do you want it, baby?” he asked, keeping his voice honey smooth. “Do you want it gentle?” he continued, caressing the heavy swell of her breasts with his hands. “Or do you want it rough? Hard?” At that, he pinched her again and squeezed her breasts, his big hand cupping her ample bosom. Sabra couldn’t find her voice as Trey’s stubble roughed against the delicate skin of her inner thigh, his lips sucking on the swollen nub of her clit. They’d taken her words away, and she was beyond making decisions at that point.

“Hard,” she finally stammered, her fingers coiling into Trey’s hair as she writhed against him. Her dark eyes sought out Tyler’s, and the flame that burned there warmed her to her core.

“Then hard it will be,” Tyler said softly, an edge to his voice that hinted at the strain he must have been feeling, trying to control himself around her while she was spread out in front of him, his brother already lapping at her sweet juices.
