Seductive Affair (Bend To My Will #2) (6 page)

Vivienne dug her hands in his hair, and he pressed his hands to her hips. She came hard, and long, then collapsed over him. Jacob stood up, and lifted her in his arms. He carried her to the bed, and, with his head on a pillow, rested Vivienne on his chest. She pressed her cheek to his shoulder, and closed one hand over his bicep.

Vivienne was
his
. Maybe she hadn’t said so yet. But she would. There was no other option. The way Vivienne responded to him, the passion that bubbled to the surface, how she let him take charge—all of it ignited a fire inside him.

Jacob wanted her to agree to his demand, to be his submissive. What they’d done so far was a mere taste of what was possible. And he was certain Vivienne would experience as much pleasure as he did. Jacob stroked her hair, and her heart rate gradually calmed.

It felt good to have Vivienne pressed against him. It was right. She was unlike any other woman Jacob had been with. Her sweetness and her sexuality drew him. But that wasn’t all. There was something about the gorgeous woman he held in his arms, something he couldn’t define. But he knew he had to have her. Jacob was more determined than ever to take Vivienne as
his
.

Chapter 9

Jacob wrapped his arms around her, and Vivienne nestled against him, leaning into his strength. He had power over her that she willingly gave. The touch of his hands, the sensation of his mouth on her skin, and the feel of his cock were intoxicating.

The intense orgasm Jacob gave her made her purr with pleasure, but far from sated her desire. He was hard again, ready for her, stirring Vivienne’s arousal. Though her body had calmed, her need for Jacob had not abated.

Vivienne lifted her head to look into his blue eyes. His expression was sensual, welcoming. With a fingertip, she traced around his perfect mouth, and Jacob grabbed her arm, licking the inside of her wrist.

Jacob’s voice was subdued. “I want you to be my submissive, Vivienne,” he said. “But, as much as I would regret you doing so…you can still turn away.” He looked into her eyes. “You have a choice.”

A fist squeezed Vivienne’s heart. There was no choice. Jacob was the man for her, and it was too late to shy away from whatever that entailed. She placed her palm on his chest. “I could no more turn away from you,” she said, “than I could…stop breathing.”

Jacob’s blue eyes softened. “I’m relieved to hear you say that.”

Vivienne stroked down Jacob’s ribs, then along his erection. Her voice was merely a whisper. “I need you inside me.”

Vivienne paused. “I’m on birth control. I have been for a while, even though it hasn’t been necessary.”

Jacob listened.

“I dated sometimes.” Vivienne smiled at the thought. “But it takes more than that for me to sleep with a man. So what I’m saying is…you don’t need a condom.” Her sex tingled. “I want to feel you inside me…just you.”

Vivienne sat up to straddle him, and Jacob fingered her wet pussy. She fisted his thick cock, and leaned down to dab her tongue in the pre-cum seeping from the top. When he guided her up on her knees, she angled his heavy erection toward her.

Slowly, Vivienne slid down, sighing as he stretched her. “Jacob…”

Taking her time, Vivienne pumped over him, and Jacob rocked his hips up to match her rhythm. He filled her, and, buried deep, satisfied a need that only he could. With his hands on her hips, Jacob moved faster and stroked harder.

Then Jacob reached up, caressing her breasts and scraping his palms over her nipples. Vivienne clenched deep in her core, her breathing ragged. “You feel so fucking good,” Jacob said, with a moan. His cock was tantalizing, the sensation thrilling, and she didn’t want it to end.

Vivienne’s nipples ached at his touch, and her pussy gripped tighter. Jacob stroked hard, taking her with him to the edge of climax. Then, looking into his lust-filled eyes, she came unglued. Her clit burned, and she gasped as waves of pleasure washed through her.

Jacob yelled out, as she clenched over him, and he exploded inside her. He filled her with cum, an intimacy that touched her. Vivienne’s muscles tightened and shuddered, as she gave in to her climax, while Jacob submitted to his own.

The ecstasy endured, leaving Vivienne floating on a cloud. Her breathing was rapid, her heart pounding. When she looked at Jacob, he reached up and traced his fingertips along her jaw.

“Jacob.” That seemed to encompass all that she felt.

Jacob slid from the bed and lifted her in his arms. Vivienne smiled, too weak to object. “Where are we going?”

“To my shower.” Jacob carried her out of the playroom, to his master suite, and went to the walk-in shower. There he put her down, before turning on the water, which quickly warmed.

Then Jacob soaped her body and gently washed her. It was a heavenly feeling, and Vivienne was happy to be with him. She didn’t mention that being in his shower was a first, instead just enjoying the attention. The way he massaged her body and washed her with such admiration was moving.

“My turn,” Vivienne said, when he rinsed her off. She soaped the sponge and squeezed it over Jacob’s shoulders. Relishing the task, she washed his muscled body, thinking he might stop her. But he didn’t. When she rubbed his back, Vivienne felt the raised scars, but didn’t mention them. The idea that anyone would injure Jacob hurt her deeply. But he hadn’t been willing to talk about it.

When she finished rinsing him, Jacob got thick towels and they dried off. Vivienne wrapped hers around her body. “My clothes are in the other bedroom.” She walked toward the bathroom door.

“I’ll meet you downstairs for cocktails,” Jacob said, appearing reluctant to let her go, which made her feel good.

By the time Vivienne got dressed and went down, Jacob had already procured drinks. She went outside with him. It was dark, so he had the patio lights on. “It’s so nice out here,” she said, stepping across the stone terrace. Jacob handed her a drink.

“What is this?

“It’s called French Connection, inspired by Woody Allen’s
Midnight in Paris
.”

The bubbly concoction had a red hue. “What’s in it?”

“Cognac, fresh raspberries, and sparkling white wine.”

Vivienne took a sip. “I like this.” On an empty stomach, she feared the potent mixture would quickly affect her. “Are you trying to get me drunk?” She smiled. “So you can have your way with me?”

Jacob laughed, making her realize that he didn’t do that often enough. He pulled out a chair for her, then sat beside her. After he took a sip of his drink, his expression turned serious. He took her hand. “Vivienne,” he said.

Unsure whether Jacob was going to ask a question or make a confession, Vivienne kept quiet.

“Did you mean what you said upstairs?” Jacob said. “That you won’t turn away from me?” He looked into her eyes. “That you won’t refuse me?”

Before replying, Vivienne took another sip, hoping the alcohol would calm her nerves. This was it. If she said yes, that was a commitment. As much as she wanted to agree, uncertainty nagged at her. “What if I…don’t measure up?”

“What do you mean?”

“Jacob, you are experienced, and you’ve been with women before me. Many women, I expect.” Vivienne glanced out into the darkness. “What if I disappoint you?” She hadn’t realized how much that worried her until she said it.

“Is that what’s making you hesitate?” Jacob set his drink on the table beside hers. Then he took her hands in his. “Vivienne, you could not disappoint me. You must know that. I crave you and want to give you…pleasure.”

“And pain?” Vivienne shouldn’t have blurted that out, but she knew Jacob had gone easy on her so far.

“You misunderstand. It’s all for your pleasure.” Jacob squeezed her hands. “I will guide you. All you must do is: be willing.” His voice lowered. “Are you? Will you try?”

Vivienne’s heart swelled. She cared so much about Jacob. Couldn’t he see that? How could he doubt that ultimately she would say yes? “Of course. I’ll try. I want to be with you.” She swallowed. “I can’t imagine any other man making me feel the way you do.”

Jacob relaxed and leaned back in his chair. “That makes me very happy,” he said. “There is one more thing…”

What else could there be?

“I ask that you keep what we do just between us,” Jacob said. “It’s private. And being a wealthy man puts me in the limelight. I’d rather our relationship stay
ours
, and does not become fodder for the tabloids.”

“I wouldn’t tell anyone,” Vivienne said. She didn’t make a habit of sharing the details of her sex life. Then she frowned. “I can’t tell Lana that I’m seeing you every weekend? That’s going to be weird. She’s my closest friend. I have to be able to talk to her.”

Jacob considered that. “I want you to be comfortable with our arrangement. If discussing things with Lana is important to you, then I approve. But still, I’m not fond of the idea of you revealing what we do in the playroom.”

Vivienne’s cheeks warmed. “I didn’t mean that. I wouldn’t…do that. It’s kind of…” She searched for the right word.
Embarrassing
didn’t quite fit, because she didn’t feel that way about what she shared with Jacob. “It’s, as you say,
private
.”

“That’s agreeable, then.” Jacob handed her drink back to her and took his. “We’ll talk more when we return to New York.”

A thought occurred to Vivienne. “You have a playroom there, too?”

Jacob nodded. “Yes, larger than this one. You haven’t been to my penthouse yet. We will have to remedy that.”

Yes, we will
. “I think you better feed me,” Vivienne said. “This fizzy drink is making me giddy.”

Clara’s timing couldn’t have been better. She came out to the terrace with a tray of steaming food. Vivienne’s stomach rumbled. “
Merci
,” she said, and the cook smiled. She was hungrier than she’d realized.

During the meal, Jacob didn’t bring up the subject of her being his submissive. But Vivienne knew that saying
yes
had pleased him. The evening was comfortable, so after dinner, they stayed out on the terrace for coffee and dessert.

A new sort of intimacy bonded them. Yet Jacob still seemed emotionally distant. As much as he desired Vivienne sexually, she didn’t feel that he’d opened up to her. She had no idea what traumatic incident had scarred his back. And it startled her to think that Jacob still hadn’t kissed her. Not the way a man kisses a woman.

Jacob had kissed her in ways that no other man had, or probably even thought to. But he hadn’t kissed her the way she was used to, and Vivienne didn’t know what that meant. Just because she’d made her decision, and would be his submissive, didn’t mean she understood him.

That would take time. But Vivienne couldn’t turn away. She’d been honest about that. Jacob was in her heart, a part of her life, and she had no intention of letting him go. The anticipation over what they would do in the playroom made her shiver with delight.

When the meal ended, Vivienne hoped Jacob would invite her to his room. But once again, that was not to be. He walked her upstairs to her bedroom and put his arms around her. Then Jacob kissed her lightly on the lips, leaving her wanting more.

He seemed remote, and gave no encouragement for Vivienne to go with him. When he released her and said goodnight, she wondered what it would be like as his submissive. Would Jacob treat her the same way as he did now? Or once she submitted as he wished, would he warm to her? Vivienne just didn’t know.

Chapter 10

The last day in Provence was bittersweet. Vivienne was anxious to get back to Vee’s, although she’d texted daily with Michele and knew that all was well. But the precious days with Jacob would soon be over, and she didn’t know what to expect once they were back in New York.

It was one thing to hide away in a French villa and acquiesce to Jacob. Yet it would be different once Vivienne was home. She had a life, and the weekend arrangement she’d agreed to seemed foreign. If only Jacob would voice how he felt about her, or if she knew the bond between them was stronger than what they had behind closed doors.

Vivienne hadn’t considered a relationship that was weekends only. During the week, she wouldn’t have a boyfriend. She would have…what? A sex partner? She wasn’t complaining. In fact, she could have stayed at the villa for weeks, if her career wasn’t waiting. Plus, Jacob had a business to run.

The idyllic hours in Provence would be etched in her memory, even when she returned to her normal life. Vivienne wasn’t sure what
normal
meant anymore. With Jacob, she felt more herself. He had shown her more about her inner desires than she had any inkling of.

And he had only tapped the surface. Vivienne knew that. She felt it. What was disconcerting was the prospect of confining her emotions to the playroom. Could she do that? She wasn’t sure. No matter what Jacob felt in his heart, it didn’t change how
she
felt.

Vivienne had opened up with Jacob, and allowed him to introduce her to pleasures that had not previously existed. Maybe in her fantasies, but she hadn’t conceived of those imaginings becoming reality. Even then, the experiences with Jacob were more than that. The sexual encounters surpassed her frivolous dreams.

Being with Jacob had substance. She didn’t
imagine
how he made her feel. On the contrary, the experiences were very real, and remained vividly in her mind. Vivienne couldn’t move past Jacob, and didn’t want to. What she wanted was more of what he had given.

Jacob promised to guide her, to protect and care for her. Vivienne had to rely on that. Yet she wished they had more time alone before reentering the everyday world. She wasn’t certain the relationship was strong enough to withstand the battering of life. But she prayed it was.

The last day in Provence, Jacob invited her to go wine tasting. She wouldn’t have missed it, especially since wine was Jacob’s business. It was one way to share with him, since in other ways he was still inaccessible. She dressed for another lovely spring day in the countryside.

Before she went downstairs, Vivienne’s phone vibrated. It was Lana.

When do you arrive?

Late tomorrow.

Did all go well?

Vivienne hadn’t spoken to Lana since the unexpected encounter with Jacob. She had a lot to tell her when she got home.

Yes, it went well. And I saw Jacob.

Jacob? Where?

I’ll tell you all when I’m home. I’ve been at his villa for a couple of days.

You have to tell me everything!

Okay, for sure. I’ll be home soon.

Looking forward to it.

Vivienne missed her friend. She couldn’t wait to tell Lana about reuniting with Jacob, even though she wasn’t sure how to explain the arrangement. She’d figure something out. There was no way to tell her
everything
, but she’d share as much as she could.

When she went downstairs, Jacob was on the phone. It sounded like business. He paced in front of the sofa, frowning. “Get back to me on that. I’ll be at the office in a day or so, but call if there’s any further word.” He lowered his phone and nodded at Vivienne.

“Do you have some pressing issues at work?” Vivienne hoped he would tell her, as she wanted to know more about Rinaldi Imports, and for him to share with her. But Jacob didn’t seem interested in that.

“Nothing I can’t handle.” Jacob’s demeanor shifted. “You look beautiful,” he said.

Vivienne was flattered. He was quick with the compliments. “I’m looking forward to the wine tour.”

“We won’t be able to see everything, just some highlights,” Jacob said. “But we can visit more places when we come back.”

That sounded good:
when we come back
. It meant Jacob had thought of bringing her to the villa again. It meant a future.

This time Philip drove them in the Mercedes. That way Jacob could focus on wine. While they wound through the countryside, he told Vivienne a bit about the area. “Provence spans several winemaking regions,” he said. “This route goes from Toulon to Saint-Tropez across vineyards along the edge of the Mediterranean.”

“I’d like to see that sometime.”

“I’d enjoy taking you,” Jacob said. “This area is known for light, drinkable rosé, but many of the winemakers are now making some exciting reds. And many are moving toward organic. So you might see horses plough through the vineyards, or a herd of grazing sheep serving as weed killers.”

Vivienne enjoyed listening to him talk about it, seeing the passion he had for the industry. She held Jacob’s hand and admired the landscape as they drove by. She spotted olive groves, even lavender fields, in the classic Provençal countryside.

The first stop was in Bandol. “One of the oldest and most prestigious appellations in Provence,” Jacob said. “We’ll stop at Domain de l’Estagnol, with one of the smallest vineyards in Bandol. The vintner uses a mix of traditional cement vats and innovative wooden barrels in the shape of a truncated cone.”

The vineyard was perched high on a hill, with the vines looking down on the sea. “The vintner claims it’s so each vine can see the sea,” Jacob said. “The Mourvèdre grape used in Bandol prefers a sea breeze.”

“Do you import his wines?”

“He doesn’t produce enough barrels, but when I’m in Provence I buy a few bottles for my cellar,” Jacob said.

They stopped at a couple of other wineries, and Vivienne noticed that it wasn’t the wine-tasting experience she was used to. The vintners were friendly, welcoming, and easygoing, but not informal or chatty. It was a more serious, wine-focused event, without any marketing distractions.

When they got hungry, Jacob asked the driver to stop at a bistro, where they ate a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, they visited a cave cooperative, where they were able to taste wines from several local vintners in a single, less intimidating setting. Jacob showed Vivienne how to taste the wine without swallowing, by swishing it all around then spitting it out.

Throughout the day, Jacob encountered several vintners and other locals who knew him. He chatted with them, and Vivienne could tell that he had excellent rapport with those he knew in the industry. He introduced her, but with all that Vivienne saw that day, there was no way she’d remember their names.

Before returning to the villa, Jacob took her to Red Clover in Aix-en-Provence, an Irish pub in the heart of town. Since they’d only been tasting and not drinking, they ordered draft beer. The day had been special, one that Vivienne would remember.

Yet she couldn’t help being anxious about what the next day would bring. And the next. Vivienne took a gulp of beer, intending to keep her thoughts to herself. But Jacob noticed. He squeezed her hand. “It will be okay,” he said, as if reading her mind. Yet Vivienne wasn’t reassured.

She was going into the unknown, about to be Jacob’s submissive. And as amazing as she thought that would be, it was still unnerving. Vivienne was venturing into new territory. Dating and romance she understood. But letting Jacob have her and control her every weekend was still unfamiliar.

After dinner, they went back to the villa. Jacob had been unusually quiet on the way home. It was late, and the flight out was scheduled for an early hour. Vivienne expected him to shuffle her to her room, and retire to his. Although her heart broke at the thought.

It was their last night in Provence, and she didn’t think she could bear the quiet of the enormous bed that was assigned to her. There was so much that she didn’t understand, and she wondered if she’d made the right decision.

Vivienne groomed for bed and slipped on a filmy gown. She stood facing the lonely bed. Then the door opened. Jacob walked in, wearing only jeans. Her heart skipped a beat. Without a word, he scooped her in his arms and took her to his master suite.

The covers were turned back, and Jacob rested her against the pillows. Then he took off his jeans and got in bed with her. Vivienne’s back was pressed to his chest, and he wrapped her in his arms. Tears formed in her eyes. She didn’t understand Jacob, and couldn’t predict his behavior. But she was grateful to be in his arms. A tear rolled down her cheek onto the pillow.

Jacob nuzzled her hair. “Go to sleep, baby,” he said.

Vivienne could no more turn away from Jacob than deny her own nature. And she’d done that for too long already. She wanted what Jacob offered. Soon he would introduce her to his playroom in New York. With his arms around her, his warmth surrounding her, Vivienne wasn’t afraid anymore. It was what she wanted. She realized that now. And whether good or bad…Vivienne was now a part of Jacob’s forbidden world.
