Seize Me (19 page)

I groan as the light peers straight into my eyes and I look over at the naked lady clock hanging on the wall and see that it’s already after two o’clock. Sure enough, most of us passed out right on this damn stage.

“Get your fucking ass in there right now. Are you trying to get fucking pregnant? What the fuck is wrong with you, Tatiana. I thought you learned from me having you at the age of fucking thirteen years old,” ZZ roars pushing Tatiana through the community room. She has tears running down her face.

“Dad, I’m almost eighteen. I’m even graduating high school a year early. I’m the best daughter and you get pissed because I have a sex life?”

Oh hell!

“I don’t want you near that fucking punk again; you’re grounded to the clubhouse,” he yells before walking away.

I get up, walk to the coffee machine near the bar, start running coffee, and nod for her to take a seat.

“You wanna talk about it,” I rasp out still half asleep as I get two cups down.

“He caught me in the back of Haden’s car,” she cries. “He won’t let me see Haden again. We were on lockdown for two months and I missed him. What guy will wait for your father to ease up so he can see you? Haden did that!”

Braxxon wakes up, walks towards the hallway, and mouths he’s gonna take a shower. I smile because he just told me what he was doing.

“Here take this.” I hand Tatiana a cup of coffee.

“I just don’t understand; I turn eighteen in a few weeks. What’s the big freaking deal? It’s just sex.”

I sigh while mixing the creamer into my coffee. I’m only four years older than Tatiana is so I don’t know how much advice I can actually give her.

“He’s just wants to make sure your being respected is all. He’s your father Tatiana. A father always wants what is best for their daughter. Well most of them anyways.” I trail off thinking about my piece of shit dad.

“It’s not fair Winter; I barely have a life because when the club goes on lockdown I can only use my phone. I’ve been away from my friends too many times to count.”

I frown because I remember what it was like to be away from all your friends.

“Winter,” Lana says coming up next to me with her bags. What the hell? “I’m going home for a while. Lockdown is over and I’m taking the rental.”

“I’m not leaving Lana. Not until after the other matter is dealt with,” I say through a closed mouth. I’m hoping she knows I’m talking about Snake.

“I know… I’ll call you tonight. Alright?”

“Okay.”

I really don’t want her to go, but what can I do to stop her? Nothing. I can do absolutely nothing. I hug her and tell her to be careful and when I watch her walk away from me, I almost want to cry.

“She’s your best friend isn’t she?” Tatiana asks.

“Yes, she’s more like a sister.”

“I don’t have anyone like that,” she murmurs sadly.

This poor girl reminds me of myself back when I was her age, trapped in a life you don’t want any part of.

“Angel… everything good?” Braxxon comes up beside me smelling all fresh and clean, and takes my coffee from me.

“Yeah, Lana left though.” I pout.

He gives me a sad smile before kissing my cheek. God he can be so domesticated when he wants to be.

“You have bills to pay of mine you know.” I pinch at his side.

“Go print them off. I’ll give them to Max, and he’ll make sure they get paid baby.”

I could pay them myself a million times over, but he did cause me to be outta a job. Gotta make the man pay somehow.

“Okay,” I say as I whisper to Tatiana that I’ll chat with her later. Last thing I need is my cell and credit cards being shut off.

I take my coffee with me and walk over to the laptop and start logging into all my online bills and printing them off. There goes about four grand. Teach him to get me fired again.

I grab the printouts, and as I make my way to Max to give them to him, the club starts filling up with nasty ass hoes.

“What’s this?” I ask Max as I hand him my bills.

“Compound is open, and so is pussy,” he says matter-of-factly.

Great! “Brax said you would take care of those for me.” I point to the stack I just handed him.

“So I was told” He chuckles.

“Don’t laugh; your president got me fired and that was the deal. He had to pay my bills because that was a bullshit move.”

I wave him off and walk over to Creamy and Bom Bom. “What the fuck; is it open season or something in here?”

“The flood gates have been lifted,” Bom Bom jokes.

Yay! Not! I’m not thrilled for this. Everything just starting calming down and now it’s about to get hectic again.

Braxxon comes up to us looking all sexy in his black boots half tied and his holey jeans with his white shirt and cut.

“Baby, a few of us gotta head out and take care of some club business. If you leave, take a few of the girls with you, yeah?”

His hands grip my ass and he tugs me closer, nuzzling my neck and breathing me in. I wish he wouldn’t. I still haven’t showered since our partying last night.

“You’re mine,” he breathes.

I feel like melting into a puddle knowing he still wants me the same way he did months ago. Not every day a man you just met will stick by you until you start finding yourself again after something cruel happens to you.

“I’m yours,” I breathe back. “You’re pretty amazing.”

He slaps my ass before pulling away and winking at me with those devilish gray eyes.

“Don’t you forget that shit either,” he says walking backwards.

I shake my head and turn back to the girls who are just sitting there with their mouths hanging open.

“What?”

“He loves you,” they say in unison.

“Doubtful. We haven’t necessarily had a great start. Too early for love and all that.” I whisk my hand around in the air.

“Naw, our Prez loves you; you’ll see.”

“Whatever. So what to do today?” I ask.

They look around at all the hoes flaunting themselves, and even though Bom Bom and Creamy are almost like them, they at least have brains.

“Shopping,” we all say.

“Just let me take a shower real fast and we can go.”

I book it upstairs and jump in the shower. I’m excited to buy new clothes. I need some leather. I think it will get Braxxon’s motor running more. I jump out of the shower and brush out the tangles and throw it up in a clip. I walk over to my bags and grab a pair of short white shorts and a pink sliced up shirt and a white bra. I pair it with my favorite white converse, grab my purse, and bolt back downstairs.

“That was fast.” Creamy laughs.

“Dude, we’ve been stuck here.” I laugh waving my hand around.

“Well then let’s roll out,” Bom Bom says, grabbing her keys off the bar.

We’ve been shopping for hours. I have one handbag full of leather clothes and another one full of leather lingerie. When I’m ready, I’ll wear it for Braxxon, and I can’t wait until that day. When we’re sitting at the food court, Bom Bom goes on and on about how she used to wanna be a doctor until she fell in with the wrong crowd and got hooked on drugs. I also learn that Creamy doesn’t have any sexual diseases and as weird as it sounds, she just has a healthy system that just cleanses her out more than it should. She said if she were to have a disease the guys wouldn’t keep her around as much as they do. And I agree, but I feel for her because the woman discharges more than she should. I thought that talk would gross me out being as I just finished eating, but she talks about it so naturally it doesn’t make it awkward. They both tell me they’ve both of course slept with Braxxon, and they wanted me to know just in case a muffler bunny tried running their mouth. I assure them that was the past, and I appreciate them telling me before I heard it from someone else. After we hit up Victoria Secret for new perfumes and body lotions, we agree it’s time to head back. As we walk to the parking lot, Bom Bom thumbs her keychain pepper spray. I guess everyone is still on edge.

After leaving my Angel at the clubhouse and worrying myself to death over whether or not she’ll be safe if she leaves the compound, I finally just shake my nerves and focus on the task at hand.

ZZ, Pyro, Sniper, Smokey, and I have pipelines to secure. I want to break Snake down little by little. He’s done lost his business with Petra and I am damned and determined to give Petra more than just three pipelines. We could use the extra money even though we have our gold pipeline; you could always use more. And Petra will respect the extra leads and lines we’re bringing him.

We’ve secured two lines today. They were easy because it was two clubs from the surrounding counties. Their product was running dry, so it was easy picking them up. That also helps dampen the grudges we got with them. But while we’re at this third pipeline, I get a nervous tick. I only get nervous ticks if something feels off, and this most certainly feels way the hell off.

These characters are all itchy and pulling nervously at their clothing. I nod at the brothers to be ready just in case.

The guy I assume is in charge steps outta the town car into the desert heat and stands there sizing me up before he makes a sound.

“You know… I absolutely hate when people fuck with my business. Your fucking with Snake… fucks with my business,” he hisses stepping back and ducking back into the town car as we all draw guns.

Gunfire rings out as we all dive and hide behind shit never letting out fingers off the triggers. Bullets zipping all around us, we’re firing blindly and that shit is never good. Pyro lets out a groan. I look over and see he’s been shot in the leg. I jump up and start firing headshots, bullets barely missing my head. They just shot my VP; now I’m pissed. Sniper jumps on the hood of an abandoned car and starts firing away at the ones still shooting. Down to three motherfuckers who are hiding behind the town car until it zooms off. Yeah that’s right bitches, run and leave your little toys behind. While Sniper takes them out, I run back over to Pyro. ZZ is wrapping a belt tightly around Pyro’s leg trying to cut off his circulation. Smokey is already on the phone calling the Doc and telling him to meet us at the clubhouse.

Pyro is able to ride his lady back without falling over, but his entire body is white as a ghost when we pile into the clubhouse. The Doc is waiting with tarp laying over the pool table, and his son is with him yet again. Dammit, I wish he didn’t bring that good-looking prick around my Angel. Speaking of which, she’s on the phone with Lana I’m assuming because she’s freaking out.

“Lana is on her way,” she yells hanging up.

I’ll never understand Lana and Pyro; they’re even more fucked up than my angel and me. Pyro is begging for a bottle of whiskey and my Angel loads a glass with gummy bears and pours it to the top with Pyro’s favorite bourbon. What the fuck? She knows my best friend way entirely too much for my comfort.

“Chew on the gummies once they soak, Pyro,” she says stroking his cheek and I find my fists doing double time.

“Pyro… not going to lie; the bullet is jammed into your femur. I would prefer we get you to the hospital,” Doc says shinning a light into the hole.

“Not fucking happening Doc. Just numb me and dig the shit out,” he growls through clenched teeth.
