Severing Sanguine: A Companion Book to The Fallocaust Series Book 2 (92 page)

This, this I liked. I liked being in control; I enjoyed this sort of sex. Being the bottom partner might take some getting used to but I could do this all day and all night to every one of my brothers. Oh, yes. I would like that.

I sucked on Silas’s neck as I continued to pound him, the coffee table shaking back and forth. I even heard something drop onto the carpet but I didn’t care. I continued my rhythm and I didn’t slow down, Silas’s sharp, sensual moaning gracing my eardrums and forever tightening those binds I knew were about to burst.

Though Silas beat me to it. His moans started to become closer together, and I could even feel his ass tightening and twitching as it grasped my cock like a constricted fist. I sped up my thrusts and found his lips. I kept pushing, even when the tightness started to become unbearable I kept at my speed. I remembered what it took to reach orgasm when I had been fucking Jack, I had to thrust through the tension and then I’d get my reward.

“Ah, fuck!” Silas suddenly cried, then he let out a loud, unhinged moan followed by another one. His body writhed underneath mine and his hands grabbed my back, not only that I could feel his hole start to spasm and tighten, gripping my cock hard and plunging me to my own peak.

I let out a cry as the tension reached its critical point, fireworks exploding all throughout my body, lighting my blood on fire and shooting the flames to every corner of my shaking frame. I pushed and pushed through each wave of the orgasm, every thrust I made becoming easier as my cum filled the king.

The orgasm was intense and, like the first one, the waves of pleasure kept coming, one after another like aftershocks after an earthquake.

When it was finally over I collapsed onto his body, sweaty and exhausted from the intense climax. I stayed there for several moments before I slowly pulled out of him and fell onto my knees in front of the coffee table.

Silas let out a long and satisfied breath before sitting up in front of me, cum dripping down his toned stomach, and stuck into his blond pubic hair. He looked at me, also sweaty and exhausted, and that beautiful smirk appeared on his face again. The king seemed to glow, there was an almost invisible aura around him; he radiated pleasant feelings and contentment. It drew me to him like a moth to a flickering flame.

“We’re going to have ourselves a wonderful life,” he said simply. He pressed his lips against my clammy forehead but soon found my lips again. We kissed passionately and then the king rose to his feet. “Come now, love. Let’s shower and get ourselves a nice meal. My sweetness hasn’t eaten anything proper in almost two months.”

I smiled at him, feeling more content than I had felt in a very long time. I followed him into his bedroom, knowing I would follow this man wherever he wanted me to go.

Chapter 47

Silas tugged on the collar of my shirt and smiled at me. “Your heart is racing, such a silly thing you are. You’re nervous about seeing Jack, aren’t you?”

I blushed and looked down at his hands. He was buttoning my red button-down and was holding a leather vest in his hand. I already had on black trousers and shining leather shoes. I looked quite handsome and black and red were my favourite colour combinations.

“Maybe a little,” I admitted. “Enough to make me want to look nice for him.”

Behind me Kinny ran a brush through my hair, even though he had been messing with my hair all afternoon now. The sengil had enjoyed primping me and styling me to his standards. I think he was enjoying that I was no longer hiding under the bed in my own filth. I had no more qualms about the sengil making me look nice, after all he and all the sengils were well-trained in chimera grooming.

“You look perfect,” Silas said. He stepped back and nodded at me. “Perfection. I will be going to Kreig to visit Elish for a few days, see if he’s done pouting yet. Feel free to summon Kinny if you two want a third partner.”

The red already on my cheeks deepened, of course Silas enjoyed this. He had been teasing me all morning but I loved it. He loved this side of me he was seeing and I felt the same about his lighthearted attitude. It seemed to be a golden age in the chimera family right now.

“I hope you’re going to tell him you’re letting me date Jack,” I said, because though I was smug that Elish was angry I was now immortal, I still respected the man. He was another immortal brother that I was going to be spending a long time with. Now wasn’t the time to make eternal enemies. “That will make him feel better about me being immortal.”

“Perhaps,” Silas said. He handed me the vest to put on. “Elish will be fine. I know my golden boy more than he knows himself. It’s cute when he gets insecure about his place in the family and with me. Sometimes it’s fun to exploit it as well.” As Silas said this he patted my cheek playfully. “But he has no need to worry, as you don’t. You’re my most favourite out of our second generation which makes you my fifth-in-command. Elish, Garrett, Nero, and you. Just think, lovely, if all four of us are dispatched or out of Skyfall you get to be king.”

A devious grin crossed my face which Silas laughed at. He zipped up my vest and straightened it. “I shudder to think of what you would do with Skyfall, lovely. Okay, let’s head out and see Jack. He’s eager to show you your new apartment.”

I grabbed Barry as I headed out the door. My satchel had to be thrown out because it was burnt and smelled like rot and smoke, but Barry had survived. Silas had even let Kinny wash him carefully and he smelled wonderful now. I could even see his cream paw pads which had been almost the same colour as his matted fur previously.

I hugged Barry to me. He was just a bear now, and if becoming immortal had really repaired my brain – I think he would always remain a bear.

I was okay with that. It was time for me to join this world, and this family. My world had suited me when I was still recovering mentally from being Jasper’s prisoner, but I didn’t need them anymore. It was sad, and I did feel an ache in my heart, but I was twenty now and an immortal chimera. It was time for me to say goodbye to them.

“What floor is it?” I asked.

“There are twenty-seven usable floors in this skyscraper. Mine is the twenty-seventh, Elish’s the twenty-sixth, Garrett’s is the twenty-fifth, Nero and Ceph the twenty-fourth. Naturally since my love has quickly risen up the ranks, you get the twenty-third floor. If you wish you can be assigned a sengil as well. We have two of them who will be of age soon, if Garrett behaves and is allowed to keep Kass he will have no need for a new one so they can be assigned to you and Jack and most likely Apollo and Artemis. You haven’t met them, no?”

Kass?
My
Kass? I decided not to ask that question, I could ask Jack later. The prospect that he had become Garrett’s sengil baffled me though.

“No, I haven’t,” I replied. “But Jack talked about them, they’re intelligence chimeras right?”

Silas nodded. “That’s right. Brilliant and well-behaved twins. Silvery-white hair, violet eyes, and handsome yet soft features. They are drawn from Elish’s DNA and my own, with a bit of Perish’s thrown in there for balance. Never had a single problem with those lovely boys. I will be making more from their strands in the future.” He pinched my arm. “And you too, since you’ve turned out to be so strong. Would you like a little chimera brother like you?”

“Like from me?”

Silas nodded. “You turned out to be incredibly endurant. We will be using your DNA for future projects, Jack’s as well. The wonderful thing about our chimera project is the more successful chimeras we raise the broader we can make the gene pool.”

“What chimeras made up me?” I asked.

The elevator stopped and we slowly started walking down the hallway. It had clearly just been renovated; it was painted a dark grey with black trim and there were recessed lights above us with black borders around them.

“Nero of course,” Silas smiled, though this surprised me. “Some of Garrett but Nero mostly, but you have a lot of engineered DNA in you. DNA that comes from none of our chimeras, it’s strands that our science team created that gave you things like your sharp teeth and red eyes. Like I said eventually we won’t need to manufacture the DNA as much. From now on if we wish to have chimeras with pointed teeth we can just isolate the gene inside of you or Jack and implant it in the embryo. It would lead to a higher success rate, it took us years to successfully create you and Jack.”

He spoke in such a casual way it was like he was expecting me to understand what all of these things meant, but when he glanced over at me he laughed. “Sorry, love. I know it’s confusing. Though you’re as intelligent as they come you’ll never be able to understand genetics, and scientific research like your intelligence or science brothers. Just know, it’s fascinating and I would love to show you Kreig one day. Perish is working on an actual machine with a user-friendly interface to make chimeras. Where you can select everything from eye colour, penis size, height, intelligence, just from accessing a program!”

“The Chimera-Maker 5000,” I smirked, and inside I beamed as Silas laughed again and playfully squeezed my bicep. He was in a great mood. I just loved it. When Silas was angry the air darkened around him, but when he was happy it was like the Fallocaust had never happened and the world was still greens and blues.

Silas knocked on the door though he didn’t get past rapping his knuckles against the wood three times before it opened. I think Jack had been waiting by the door for us to arrive.

My boyfriend, looking better than ever, looked at me for a single moment before his large black eyes started to glisten. He tried his hardest to say something but all that came out was a whimper, then he threw his arms around me and squeezed me tight to him.

“I’m back,” I said, not knowing what else to say to him.

He whimpered again. “I’ve known you would be waking up for almost two months now. I bathed you, exercised you, I slept beside you when Silas would let me… but for some reason I never thought I would hear your voice again,” Jack said in a voice high with emotion. “I missed you, Sami.”

I kissed his cheek and gently pulled him away from me. I tucked a strand of his stray silver hair behind his ears and smiled at him. “It’s just Sanguine now, love. I think it’s time for Sami to be laid to rest. I’m not him anymore.”

There was an odd look that crossed Jack’s face, it disappeared quickly but I saw it. It was an expression of sadness. Perhaps he was looking into my words too much. I never meant I was a different person now, I had always been Sanguine inside of my own head. I just wanted to put my past behind me and move on with my life, and that meant asking to just be called by my real name.

And in truth, Jack was one of the only people left who had called me Sami.

“Okay, Sanguine. Old habits die hard though,” Jack said with a smile. Then he looked to King Silas. “Can I get you anything to eat or drink, Master? Or perhaps a cigarette or some powder?”

Silas walked ahead of us into the living room. “Some powder would be wonderful, Jack. I supposed since we no longer have to worry about Sanguine becoming addicted to opiates he’s allowed to have some. Oh, what a beautiful apartment, lovely boy. Sanguine, come look at what your boyfriend did. He is certainly our decorator and artist in the family. You get that from me you know, the artistic part anyways. I used to draw and write books to excess in my younger years.”

I took off my boots and looked around the living room as Jack and Silas walked towards two couches chatting happily with each other. The apartment was well-decorated and nice-looking to say the least. It was painted in the same dark greys as the hallway, with black trim on the walls and windows. There were deep red curtains too that covered the wall-to-wall picture windows that all of Alegria’s apartments had, and many black shelves that held the most interesting sculptures and trinkets.

Also a lot of antique-looking things. There was a wooden cabinet with designs going up the sides and inside of it was full of DVDs and electronics, but also a black stone statue of a panther and a newer one that looked like a carracat. Beside it was a wood bookshelf full of books, the shelves inside of it black and white marble. My new place looked expensive.

“Look at that. Nero managed to recover you some marble for a coffee table? Perfect.” I heard Silas comment. “Almost all of us have marble coffee tables, Sanguine. It doesn’t scratch the surface when my chimeras decide to cut their drugs.” I looked over and, sure enough, there was a coffee table with the same black and white marble, sitting on top of metal cast iron legs. Two black microfiber couches surrounded it and a recliner chair with a laptop tray behind, all of this centered around a large flat panel television with game systems tucked into a black entertainment center.

“This looks like it cost… a lot,” I said in awe. I glanced over at the kitchen, partially closed off by a half-wall, and saw it was full of stainless steel appliances and the fridge even had a cold water tap like King Silas’s had. The countertops were also marble and there was even a little counter island in the center. This place looked brand-new.

“It did!” Silas laughed. “But you’re my fifth-in-command. You’re apartment should speak of your status, my prince. Just wait until you see what I got you for your welcoming party, it will double as a birthday present. This apartment we’re saying is a Skyday present to keep the jealousy down. Though Apollo and Artemis have never been the jealous type.”

I smirked at this. “I can’t wait to show Valen, fucking rub his nose in it. Felix and Rio too.”

Jack’s head jerked back to look at me; his expression noticeably changing. Silas’s didn’t though. The king sat down on the microfiber couch and picked up what looked like Jack’s black card, the edges of it crusted with white powder.

“You didn’t… ask him yet?” Jack asked submissively. He took my hand and brought me to the couch.

“Ask what?” I asked as we both sat down.

No one interrupted the king though as he leaned down and took in some powder into each nostril. He rubbed his nose and passed the sniffer, which looked like a cut up pink pixie stick, to me.

“He obviously doesn’t remember, Jack. Though I suppose it would make his day.” A devilish smirk graced Silas’s face as I took the sniffer from him. He pushed the silver tray the powder had been sitting on towards me and encouraged me to do some. I had only done opium but I gathered it would be the same feeling. So I indulged myself and passed the pink straw to Jack in a way that reminded me of the blunt passing I used to do with Mouse and Julia. A life that seemed to have taken place on a distant planet.

“Valen is missing,” Silas said casually. My eyes widened from surprise, and Silas seemed to drink this in. He loved watching people’s reactions to news.

“He ran away from home while I was resurrecting but we had reports here or there of him, but since the rocket launcher attack on Cypress there hasn’t been a single sighting. We’re going to declare him dead soon. We’re assuming he was hiding out in Cypress and got caught up in the missiles. So it looks like all of the chimeras I had been not overly happy with are now dead, what a wonderful coincidence,” Silas said the last part in a rather singy voice.

“Valen is gone?” I repeated those words to myself. “Wow…” I watched as Jack plugged one nostril and inhaled a line of off-grey powder. “It seems like I woke up in a dream, in a perfect world. I’m immortal. Valen is gone. I get to live with my boyfriend, and I’m back on great terms with my king.” Then I glanced up at the ceiling. “And Elish has buggered off too.”

Silas laughed. “Hit him for me, Jack. He mustn’t say such things!”

I grinned as Jack smacked me on the shoulder but he was smiling too. “I’ll admit, everything is so much nicer now that certain chimeras are gone from the world. Felix is dead too, Sanguine. He had an accident on the islands. Rio was just a tag-a-long, he’s working at Skytech right now and he never did anything overly wrong did he, Master?”

Silas shook his head before leaning back and putting his hands behind his head. He looked relaxed, content. “No, as you said he was no ringleader, or even a leader. He will not be made immortal but we do need his mind for Skytech’s future goals. I will never make the mistake of producing so many chimeras at once. With each generation we will breed smarter and more obedient chimeras, and those who don’t pass the test… will be killed. I feel no guilt over it anymore. I created my loves and I can kill them as I please.”
