Kim gripped Conrad’s hips with both hands and fucked him like a new vampire might, hungry and yet uncertain of how to fully sate the hunger. Thirsty, but too horny to allow himself the first drink, and greedy…so greedy, in fact, he realized there would never be another
first
time.

So Kim made sure the first time was the best time. And Conrad and Kimberly were happy to oblige.

* * * *

Conrad served his lovers in bed. He knew Kimberly didn’t feel like vampires should celebrate Christmas, but if they were truly his mates, then they’d want to please him, and Conrad had one request. He planned to continue living like the humans for as long as he was granted an extended life. For him, enjoying the holidays was so important.

“I thought we established you shouldn’t be celebrating Christmas,” Kimberly said, sitting upright and showing off those beautiful and bountiful breasts.

Conrad slipped a kiss on each nipple and then tugged Kim’s cock, waking him in the process. “I could’ve slept all day.”

“And then you would’ve missed Christmas.”

“Shifters don’t typically acknowledge traditional holidays.”

“You may change your mind,” Conrad remarked. “Besides, today is a special day.”

“Yes,” Kimberly said, clapping her hands and accepting a holiday coffee mug. “It’s the first day of the rest of our lives together, and it looks like we’re off to a good start. Should I expect breakfast in bed every morning?”

“No,” Conrad replied, thinking of the early chores he performed daily on the farm. “Just on Christmas.”

She pouted, and Kim chuckled, hiding his head under the pillow. “Most men feel it’s the woman’s duty to serve up breakfast, Kimberly.”

“Who asked you,” she barked.

“No one, but it’s true. Maybe with two men around to remind you of your place, you’ll pay attention.”

Conrad winked. “I don’t know, Kim. Maybe we could take turns spoiling her. She is outnumbered…for now.”

Kim flipped over and studied the Danish on the Christmas tray. Picking up a fruit-filled pastry, he took a bite and chewed. “That’s pretty good.”

“Wait a minute,” Kimberly said. “Conrad, what did you mean when you said ‘for now’ just a second ago?”

“It’s a surprise,” Conrad replied. “You’ll find out soon enough. Eat your breakfast. I’m going out to feed.”

“You sure?” Kim asked, lifting up the blanket and showing off his hard-on.

“Don’t worry,” Kimberly chirped, “he always has one of those in the morning. I’ll keep it ready for you.”

Conrad’s finger went high in the air. “That’s what I meant to ask you and forgot. I became distracted. When we first met, I thought Kim was somehow related to you. But then the two of you are…”

“The word you’re looking for is intimate,” Kimberly said, flashing a smile.

“Yes, well…what’s your story?”

Kim looked at Kimberly, and they shared a mutual look of appreciation, love, and complete adoration. “Kimberly is part of me,” Kim said. “I helped her through the first shift by taking her form inside mine.”

“How’d you do that?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know. It’s just something our league of sex shifters have done for generations. We met, decided we were compatible, or rather, she couldn’t live without me…”

Kimberly clobbered him with a pillow. “The truth is we have the same genes. We’re not related, but sex shifters have the same genetic makeup. That’s how we’re able to live inside one another for such a long period of time before we break off and form our own separate identities.”

“So you didn’t choose one another?”

“Nope,” Kimberly said flippantly.

“But you aren’t one in the same now.”

“Duh?” Kimberly arched a brow.

“When I was with you, I mean prior to the split, was I with one or both of you?”

Kimberly smacked her lips and dabbed the napkin across her jelly-coated mouth, chomping down the last bite of Danish. “Oh, no, Conrad, you had both of us. We each enjoyed each and every stroke.”

“That’s what I thought.”

“Disappointed?” Kim asked.

“Not at all,” Conrad said, dropping his robe. “But I have a feeling the two of you might be.”

Kim and Kimberly stared at him with wide eyes. “What the hell?” Kimberly asked, narrowing her gaze on
his
breasts.

“Oh, my God,” Kim gasped.

“Maybe now the two of you can understand why I never wanted to mate with sex shifters.”

Kim looked at Kimberly and then back at Conrad, who would undoubtedly need to think up a more appropriate
female
name.

“Is this some kind of joke?” Kimberly asked.

“No,” Conrad said, “I wish it were, but that’s not the case. I’ve lived two hundred years as a male vampire. I enjoy being a man. I’ve had the time of my life chasing skirts, and now, as you can see for yourself, I may have to wear one.”

Kim chuckled. “I don’t object.” Conrad noted the jealousy in Kimberly’s eyes about the time Kim added, “But she might.”

“I’ll adjust,” she said, obviously in a foul mood. She immediately yanked the thin sheet over her chest, which proved she wasn’t exactly feeling as frisky as she might have been a few minutes prior to Conrad’s full exposure.

“I hope so,” Conrad said, shooting her a big, toothy grin.

Kimberly shook her head. “Not that much.”

“We’re mates, lover,” Kim reminded her out of the corner of his mouth, unable to look away from Conrad’s new form.

“Yes, but I’d rather be
Camilla’s
friend than her lover.”

“Camilla?” Conrad asked.

“It suits you,” she said, smirking.

“Then Camilla it is.”

“Don’t get too used to it,” Kimberly snipped. “You can always undergo a sex change.”

Conrad winked at Kim and then said, “I have a feeling you’re going to like me just the way I am.”

“Don’t count on it,” she huffed. “Kim won’t have a problem taking care of me…and you.”

“As long as we’re together,” Conrad said. “That’s all that matters.”

“Trust me. You’ll miss out on this,” Kimberly said, cupping her breasts but making sure they remained under the covers.

“All we have is time,” Kim said, proudly flashing his fangs.

“Yes, but he has better boobs than I do!” Kimberly wailed.

Conrad looked down and eyed his new body. “You know what? You’re right.” He fingered his nipples and decided there were a few advantages in being a woman. Masturbating wouldn’t get old anytime soon.

Kim yanked Conrad forward and said, “In the spirit of the season, let me see if I can’t worm my way into your tight little package and make your Christmas jolly.”

“I thought you’d never ask,” Conrad said, eyeing Kimberly.

“I didn’t,” Kimberly snipped.

“You will,” Conrad promised.

“Maybe next Christmas,” she said wearily. “Maybe you’ll even change back to a man all on your own.”

“I spent two hundred years as a vampire male.”

Kimberly frowned. “Great,” she drawled. “Then you’ll probably spend four hundred years as a female.”

“She’s right, you know,” Kim said. “Women are always double the trouble.”

“No, smart-ass, they’re twice as much fun,” Kimberly said.

“I hope so,” Conrad said. “Because I have a feeling I’m stuck in this body for a long time.”

Kim gripped his cock. “In that case, let me see if I can’t get stuck there, too.”

“Sounds like a plan,” Conrad whispered, trailing up Kim’s leg with his newly formed slender fingers. “There’s nothing better than spending the holidays in bed.”

“Or observing the holidays from a distance,” Kimberly said, moving to a nearby chair.

They shared a hearty laugh, and Kim went right to work, loving on Conrad with as much passion as he had before. Kimberly watched, and that was fine by Conrad. They were mates regardless of whether they were male or female, human or vampire, shape-shifter or mortal.

The sex would work itself out when the time was right. And if not, maybe Conrad would consider that sex change. Then again, when Kim mounted him, staring down on him with love and acceptance, he wasn’t sure he’d change anything. For the first time in his life, Conrad felt cherished.

Kim and Kimberly may have been an unlikely Christmas match, but through them, Conrad found his true mates. Through them, he discovered having perfect mates included a few relationship difficulties. Even though his idea of love wasn’t perfect, he finally knew love. And that was the greatest gift of all.
