She Goes to Town (2 page)

This should still be awful, but Tanya found she was
smiling. It turned out she wanted to talk about Andy. Of course, if
they had both been single, she
'
d be
shouting about him off the rooftops.

'
He
'
s very clever,
'
she
admitted.
'
I don
'
t think he even realises how gifted he is. And
he
'
s funny. He tries to do little jokes
all the time, which,
'
she added, with a
nod,
'
are terrible. But there
'
s something about the way he does it. Makes me
giggle.
'

Annette put her fork down in disgust.
'
No, not that teenager-in-love crap. What
'
s he
like
?
'

Tanya made a rueful face.
'
He
'
s gorgeous. Great hair:
messy blonde sort of choppy style. He has these amazing green eyes.
And he has this little-boy expression he does

he doesn
'
t even know
he
'
s doing it

it makes me go weak at the knees. I mean, that
'
s an actual thing. Did you even know that was a
thing?
'

'
And?
'
Annette pressed, giving her the impatient look.

'
And, oh my god, his
body

I like muscles. You know I like
muscles. Well, he has them all. Every single one of them, and a few
extra ones, too.
'
She gestured with
the
edges of her hands, down towards her
crotch area.
'
You know that pelvic V
thing?
'

'
Mm-hm.
'

'
It
'
s a thing of wonder.
'

Annette took a sip of her water.

'
You
'
d need to have seen him naked to know about
that.
'
It was nonchalant, almost
dismissive, but Tanya knew her sister
'
s
ways. Annette was deeply serious. The trouble was: Tanya
couldn
'
t quite read which way she was
deciding to take all of this news.

'
No, it was on his
application form when he signed up for the degree,
'
she said, trying to diffuse the situation a bit.

'
Does anybody
know?
'

'
About the application
form?
'
She enjoyed watching
Annette
'
s annoyed reaction to her joke.
She couldn
'
t help noticing that
Andy
'
s flippant humour seemed to be
rubbing off her on

and that
wasn
'
t the only thing of his that
was
doing that.

But Annette
'
s question was
all the invitation that Tanya
'
s memories
of the day needed
for them
to come
crashing back in on her.
Nearly
, she thought.
Very damn
nearly
.

So they went for a walk out by the river. And Andy
was right: it was lovely. It was quiet, so they felt ok about
holding hands for a while. It was a dull day, but the rain stayed
off and it was mild enough. The water sang a soothing melody to
them as it lapped at its banks. Andy was wearing faded jeans and a
chunky dark blue sweater. She wanted to jump him right there by the
river, but that would be crazy: anybody could come along the narrow
path at any minute. She was desperate to kiss him the whole time.
She wanted him to hold her in those rock-hard arms, crush her to
his muscular chest, and devour her lips.

But they couldn
'
t do those
things, so they walked and chatted, like friends.

When they got hungry, they went for lunch to a
little place Andy had scoped out beforehand. He was reasonably
confident nobody he knew would come in there. It was a good choice
of venue,
Tanya
decided. Her paranoia
that they were going to get caught wouldn
'
t quite leave her, but it was certainly alleviated by
being in such a quiet, out-of-the-way spot. It was a little cafe in
a back alley. Its tiny windows and low ceiling made it dark inside,
even in the middle of the day. Rustic decoration and thick,
farmhouse-looking tables blended with the smell of freshly-baked
bread to give it a homely feel. The teenage waitress kept out of
their way, appearing as if by magic when they needed anything,
saying little and showing no interest. A couple of elderly ladies
ate enormous cakes at the nearest table. A man and woman who looked
like they were on a date sat at the table to Tanya
'
s left
, touching each other's
hands at the least excuse, looking into each other's eyes, smiling
constantly.

'
Hey,
'
she whispered to Andy. She gestured with her eyes.
'
Do you think they
'
re having an affair, too?
'

He grinned. His eyes glittered like emeralds even in
the low light of the cafe. Oh god, but his smile was incredible.
Tanya licked her lips, imagining them in contact with those lips of
his. Kissing him turned her on beyond measure. And his tongue did
things that drove her wild

Tanya
'
s thighs pressed against each other
beneath her skirt.
She
was wearing
stockings. The glid
e
of the sheer fabric
of one stocking against the other felt intensely sexy. She glanced
around at the other people in the cafe: they were all deeply
engaged in their own conversations. With a wicked little smile at
Andy, she let her stockinged leg stretch out under the table. Andy
started visibly when he
r
foot found his
calf.
She ran the mischievous tip of her tongue
across her upper front teeth, watching his eyes
widening.

'Hey,' she mouthed silently, 'I want
you to fuck me.'

Andy looked around at the other people
in the cafe, a mild panic crossing his face. Tanya felt a roguish
giggle welling up inside. She loved to torture him.

'How's your soup?' she asked out
loud, affecting an innocent tone. Her fingers twirled a lock of
hair behind her ear. Catching his eye, she licked her lips slowly.
He gave her a
Behave!
look and pretended to concentrate on his
soup.

Tanya decided there was no way
she was going to behave now: she was having far too much fun
winding Andy up. Besides, pretending to be horny was actually
starting to
make
her horny. She waited until he picked up his big
hunk of bread, then subtly slipped off her shoe. As he dunked the
bread, Tanya ran her stockinged foot up the inside of his calf,
enjoying the thick swell of muscle there. She saw him stiffen in
shock. His face actually turned pink. She knew his reactions well
and she was willing to bet he was starting to harden by now. It was
a moment or two before she realised she was playing with her water
glass, caressing it with the tips of her straight, slow fingers.
She loved Andy's erection. Her upper thighs squeezed against each
other as desire began to pulse out from her centre. She knew she
was going to be so wet after all of this. It was gloriously
naughty.

'It was pretty out by the river,' she
said, carrying on her one-sided conversation while she assailed him
with her seductive foot. 'I don't get out that way enough: always
too busy up in the hills.'

As she said that, her foot slipped past
his knee and began moving up his inner thigh. Andy had on a pained
expression. He was paying too little attention to his bread, too
distracted by the wickedness Tanya was inflicting on him. A big
chunk of the soup-softened bread separated itself and toppled with
a messy splash into his bowl.

'Shit!' he exclaimed, dabbing at
himself with his napkin. There were measles of soup everywhere, all
over his nice jumper and the table, making the edge of his bowl
look diseased.

Tanya chuckled and removed her foot,
feeling for her shoe under the table.

'Why do I get the feeling I'm going to
pay for this later?' she asked with a mischievous smile.

The waitress appeared with her
characteristic ESP, bearing cloths and a sponge to mop up the worst
of the mess. Andy looked embarrassed to be in such a state. Tanya
decided she would make it up to him, and she knew just how she was
going to do it. She had been thinking about it for a while, and the
very idea of it made her hot. She would ask him to tell her one of
his most secret sexual fantasies, and in return for the secret she
would let him act it out. Her imagination ran riot as she thought
of it. What would he want? What if it was something really filthy
or perverse, and she had already promised to do it? She'd have to
go through with it. That was... hot...

She couldn't help wondering what his
fantasy might be. Would it involve tying her up or dress-up? Coming
on her face? Spanking? Or something a bit more kinky? She took in a
sharp breath.

'Can I get you anything else?' the
young waitress asked, indifferently.

'Just the bill, please,' Tanya said
quickly. She was desperate to get him home and run her hands all
over his tight body. She had a very vivid image of it all in her
mind: his powerful shoulders, big deep chest muscles, and ridged
abs... And, beneath all of that spectacular manliness, his
beautiful young cock: so hard, so eager, so keen to please. Tanya
bit her lower lip, suddenly impatient to get moving, to get the
hell out of the cafe and drag him back to the house, where she
could get to feel him inside her again.

'Were you with him today?' Annette
demanded, her eyebrows drawn into a frown.

Despite herself, Tanya blushed. She had
been determined to take the inevitable interrogation in her stride,
but Annette was too insightful, and too damn incisive. There was no
point trying to deny it now: her rebellious blush reaction had
given her away.

'He wanted to go out.' She shrugged, as
if trying to shuck the embarrassment off her shoulders. 'To have a
proper date.'

Annette placed her face in one hand,
her cheek and most of her eye obscured.

'Jesus, Legs. That sounds serious. What
are you doing?'

'I'm just lonely, sweetie. He's a nice
guy. I like hanging out with him.'

But Annette studied her, peeking
through splayed fingers with one of her eyes. Tanya felt like her
sister could see right into her innermost thoughts... and that was
a horrific notion, because she couldn't stop thinking about what
happened after they left the cafe.

The quickest way home was a risk, but
Tanya was desperate to have Andy inside her. Her fingertips rolled
against each other, recalling the soft, smooth texture of the skin
of his cock, its delicious contrast with the bone-like hardness of
the erection it encased. She was aware of being wet as they exited
the cafe.

'Through town?' she suggested. The walk
back via the riverside would take over an hour: there was no way
she could stand to wait that long for him. Her heart was tripping
over itself already. She could taste him in her mouth, his
delicious saltiness that drove her wild.

They walked along the narrow
lane, chatting in their usual manner, making each other laugh. Andy
had a big smile on his face. She recognised it as
her
smile,
the one he only ever seemed to ignite when he was talking directly
to her. It was a great smile: open, innocent, full of... affection.
She was only going to think of it as
affection
. There was no way she
was going to start analysing this thing any further than she
absolutely needed to: it was already complicated enough. From some
of the things Andy said his friend Ade had been saying, she had a
pretty good idea of how he was feeling. It was worrying. But she
needed to put the worry off for another day and enjoy what they had
right now.

They strolled into town like that,
close like friends, but not as close as lovers. Tanya wished she
could hold his hand or lace her arm through his arm, feel like she
was his girl. Perhaps for the first time, she realised what she was
feeling was pain. This thing hurt.

'Are you ok, Tanya?' Andy asked, his
voice full of concern.

She swallowed, hard, not wanting to talk about it,
not wanting to think about it.
Where the hell are we going?
she wondered.
And who
'
s going to
get hurt?

And that was when she spotted him. They were on one
of Maybury
'
s main shopping streets,
Commercial Street. It was a crazy, impulsive decision that had
brought them there, so exposed, right in the middle of hundreds of
people heading to and fro. This, she realised, was exactly the kind
of behaviour that was going to get them caught. Taking undue risks,
being tempted to show themselves together out and about in public
places. It was stupid, unnecessary. And right there, coming in
their direction, was Tanya
'
s head of
department, Professor Ian Kane.

'
Andy,
'
she warned, her tone full of alarm.

But Andy had spotted him at almost the same
moment.

'
I
'
ll hang back,
'
he suggested,
'
pretend we haven
'
t seen each other.
