His tender assault on her pussy had her
gasping, her body jerking with each electric thrust of his tongue
across the bundle of nerves so tightly coiled. When she burst over
the edge, she could bear no more and lifted her bottom up and away
from his mouth, her entire body quivering.

Connor flipped her over on her back and dove
for his jeans, returning with a condom, ripping into the package
with his teeth. Then he lay between Charli's legs, leaning over her
as her spasms began to subside. "Don't stop now." He reached
between them and touched her there, igniting a whole new barrage of
electric shocks pinging through her body.

Charli wrapped her legs around Connor's
waist and pulled him close.

He paused with his cock nudging her
entrance, teasing her with the possibilities of his thickness
filling her, stretching her channel.

"Don't stop now!" she cried, echoing his
sentiment of a moment before.

"I love you, Charli." He drove into her in
one long, hard thrust.

Charli's breath caught on a gasp, her heart
squeezing so tightly in her chest she was certain she would die
right there in Connor's arms, making love to a man she could have
spent her life with...had she lived longer.

He pulled out to the very tip of his
magnificent cock and thrust again, settling into a rhythm, his
speed increasing with the tension in his muscles.

Charli clung to his shoulders, her legs
clamped around his middle urging him closer, faster, harder.

On his final thrust, he drove deep, his cock
pulsing inside her, his breath caught and held. When at last he
relaxed, he dropped to the mattress beside her, gathering her in
his arms, holding her against his muscular chest. His breathing
evened out and he sighed. "You're incredible, Charli."

Charli reveled in the closeness, inhaling
the scent of the man to remember when she slept alone again. She
didn't want to break the mood, to ruin the most beautiful
lovemaking she'd ever experienced. For a long time, she lay trying
to gather the courage to tell Connor the truth.

"Connor, I need to tell you something," she
whispered, half-hoping he wouldn't hear her.

"Ummm," he mumbled. "I haven't been totally
up front with you," she said, her voice fading off into the
darkness.

"Ummm," he mumbled again.

" Since I started dating you, I've made love
to another man, whose name I don't even know." She held her breath
waiting for Connor to say something, to pull away, to yell at
her...something.

He lay still, his chest rising in a slow,
lazy rhythm.

"Aren't you mad?" Her heart hammering
against her ribs, Charli leaned up on an elbow and stared down into
Connor's face—his relaxed, sleeping face. The man had gone to
sleep!

Charli shook her head, staring down at the
man she was hopelessly falling in love with. She settled back in
the crook of his arm, snuggling close to his naked body, relishing
her last night with him and the way he made her feel safe and
loved.

Soon, sleep claimed her. Somewhere in the
night, she dreamed she was lying with Connor in a field of
bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes, the sun glowing down on them,
warming their skin. The warmth faded, a cold wind blowing over her
skin. In her dream, Connor had gone, leaving her alone in the
field, the sun having set and a starless night closed in around
her.

She called out, but he didn't come. Tears
slipped from the corners of her eyes, sobs rising in her chest.
"Please," she called. "Don't go."

"I'm here," a deep, resonant voice called
out. "I'm not leaving. I love you too much...naked."

Something smooth and velvety soft brushed
across her lips, over her chin and down her neck.

"Connor?"

"Guess again."

There was that voice again, like melted
chocolate, spreading into every pore of her body. "Am I dreaming?"
Charli asked.

"A little." He chuckled. "Open your eyes, my
beautiful, sexy lover."

The velvety soft thing slid across a breast,
tickling her nipple. Fire ignited in her core and Charli blinked
open her eyes and stared up into a masked face.

Suddenly awake, her gaze darted to the
pillow beside her, where Connor had been sleeping. Hadn't it been
only moments before?

"Looking for someone?" Original Sin's lips
curled upward while his hand trailed a soft yellow rose lower still
across Charli's belly.

Where was Connor? Heart pounding, Charli
glanced over O.S.'s shoulder. "How did you get in?"

"I have my ways."

"Well, you have to leave." Nothing would
risk what she’d found with Connor.

"So soon? But I've only just arrived."

"I don't care. It's over between you and me.
I love Connor."

The eyes behind the mask blinked and the
smile twisted. "Does he make you as hot as I do?"

Charli sat up, leaning her back against the
headboard, dragging the sheet up over her nakedness. "Hotter."

Perched on the edge of the bed, O.S. dragged
the rose over Charli's hand, the one holding the sheet. "Will he
share you with others?"

"I don't need others. He's more than enough
for me," she declared, surprised at her own words.

"Does he plan dirty tricks to feed your
sexual appetite?" His hand descended on her calf, squeezing it
gently.

Charli jumped, her foot kicking away from
his grip. "Get out," she cried.

The sharp movement caught O.S. unawares and
he rolled off the side of the bed, his head connecting with the
footboard, before he landed flat on his back.

He lay still for a long time.

Oh god, what had she done? Charli bunched
the sheet around her and peered at the man lying on the floor.
"Er...sir? Original Sin? Mister?"

He didn't stir, his eyes closed, the mask
askew.

Holy crap, had she killed him?

Easing a foot off the bed, she dropped to
the floor and leaned over the man dressed in the black pants, black
shirt and black mask. His hat had fallen off and lay on the floor
beside him, exposing a shock of sandy blond hair. A strikingly
familiar shade of sandy blond.

Charli reached out, grasping the edge of the
mask. As she dragged it up over his forehead, a hand snagged her
wrist, but he was too late.

"Connor?" Charli stared down at the man
who'd kept her guessing for the past two weeks. The mystery man
behind the dirty tricks, the mastermind responsible for making her
life crazy, hectic, and miserable to the point she thought she'd
have to leave town for good. "Bastard!" She jerked her hand, trying
to escape his grip. "You bastard." Her voice cracked. "Do you think
I'm just some stupid woman you can trick into dirty sex?"

"No, no. Not at all." Connor sat up, hauling
her into his arms, refusing to let her go. "I did it all for
you."

"What? Made a fool out of me in front of
everyone?"

"If you mean in front of the O'Briens, they
can be trusted. No one else knows but you and me."

"You lied."

"For you."

"It doesn't change anything. You lied."

"Because I love you." He held both of her
wrists in one hand and smoothed the hair from her face with the
other. "I didn't want you to leave Temptation. I knew I had to make
this town interesting enough to keep you here."

Tears trickled from the corners of Charli's
eyes. "You must think I'm the most gullible, stupid woman in the
county." She leaned her head against his chest. "How could
you?"

"Oh, baby, I only wanted to make you happy.
Give you a little excitement to keep you around.” His fingers ran
along her cheek. “How else could I have the time to really get to
know you?"

"You could have done it the normal way. Ask
me out on a date."

"You were ready to walk...no run...away from
this town. And I'm tired and selfish enough to want to keep you
here. Please...don't be mad at me.” A hand ran down her back. “I
love you, Charli Sutton. Enough to share you with other men, if
that's what it takes to make you happy."

Charli held onto her anger, gathering it
like a cloak to protect her from what had the potential to scare
the crap out of her. "You need to leave."

"Not until you forgive me."

"That might be a very long time."

A grin spread his lips. "Good, then I'll be
around for a very long time. I'm not going anywhere until you tell
me you forgive me and tell me that you love me."

Her head shook. "But I don't love you."

"That's not what you said a minute ago."

"Oh!" She shoved against his chest, her
fingers flattening on his dark shirt. "I should be very angry with
you."

He smiled, that charming quirk of his lips
that Charli had fallen for the first time she'd seen him.

"But you can't stay mad at me."

"I can."

"Not when I do this." He kissed the tip of
her nose. "And this." His free hand tweaked the tip of her
nipple.

Despite her determination to resist,
Charli's body responded, both nipples drawing into tight little
buds. "You don't play fair."

"That's what you like most about my dark
side, isn't it?" He caught her bottom lip between his teeth and
tugged, letting it go. "Original Sin. Was that what you named
me?"

Charli shifted, straddling his hips, glad
she was naked and ready to torture the man who'd tortured her for
weeks. "I had a hard time distinguishing between the four of you. I
couldn't call you Man One and Man Two. And my attention always came
back to you, the original." She slid his belt from the belt loops
on his jeans, easing it out from under him. "Why did you bother
dressing, when you knew you'd end up naked anyway?"

"I thought you might enjoy undressing me as
much as I like when you do it." He pulled her close, her wrists
trapped between them. "Do you really want me to go? To walk out of
your life and leave you alone?" His gaze narrowed, and he sighed.
"I'll do it, if that's what you really want."

Charli stared into his gray-blue eyes for a
long moment, trying to summon her anger and failing miserably. "I
want to be mad at you, but I can't. You're too damned adorable as
both yourself and Original Sin."

"Thank God.” He let out the breath he'd been
holding and released her hands. “I thought you'd send me packing
and I didn't want to go."

Her brows furrowed and she poked a finger
into his chest. "Don't think you're getting off easy on this?
That's a pretty big lie to carry around. You'll have some major
atonement to perform before you're fully forgiven."

"Name my punishment," he said the words, a
smile lighting his face.

Her lips twitched and she pushed him back to
lie on the floor. "I'll think of some really dirty trick to keep
you in line."

"Promises, promises."

"For now, you may kiss me." She leaned
toward him, her mouth covering his a tingle of excitement spreading
throughout her body at the thought of spending the rest of her life
with this man.

Connor's hands slid around her naked waist
and down over the curve of her ass. "As you wish."

Make-up sex promised to be oh, so
fine...

THE END

Chapter One

Edward Judson slapped his dusty cowboy hat
against his leg as he led his black gelding into the barn. The sun
baked the weathered boards of the exterior, while the interior
remained relatively cool. It took a few moments for his eyes to
adjust to the shadows. "I traded that stock yesterday, made enough
to pay off my land and put a hefty chunk of cash down on a
house."

"Good move." Grant Fowler slung a leg over
the pinto mare and dropped to the ground.

Ed owed Grant a lot for teaching him
everything he knew about trading shares on the stock market. The
man owned a 5,000-acre ranch for a reason. Not because he was good
at raising horses, but because he was damned good at managing
money.

"You don

t need my advice anymore, Ed," Grant
said. "You could go into financial planning yourself with a few
courses for certification."

"Not interested." Ed had just begun to
understand the stock market's full potential and seeing the fruits
of his trades pay off. But he didn't need a lot of money, just
enough for his own purposes.

"You gonna work training horses for other
people like me the rest of your life?"

"Nope." Ed grinned. "Not
that I don

t
appreciate the work and all, but I got plans of my own."
