Six Masters Island - Chaytons Twins (29 page)

“Me, too.

I don’t think you could
order
them to betray you.

It will probably do them some good,” Preston agreed.

“We’ll, ah, just show ourselves to the door so you can enjoy your moment while you straighten this out.”

He chuckled and waved as he followed Camille towards the door.

Chayton put a hand on each quivering head.

“Alyssa, what am I going to do with you?”

“I’m sorry, Master.

Please, please don’t send us away,” she begged.

“If I decide to send you away, it will not be your decision to make.

If you keep crying wolf to yourself, you won’t recognize the real deal if it happens anyway.

You and your accomplice’s eavesdropping tonight has once again led you down the wrong path of deduction.”

Chayton looked at them sternly as they lifted their heads.

“I’m not sending you away.

I asked for Preston and Camille’s support with the other Masters on my decision to let me take you with me on the harvest.

The thought of Alyssa having a week to let her fears run unchecked seemed unnecessary.

I thought it might be less upsetting to you both if you came with me.

Some of the Masters are convinced you’ll run or cause problems.”

Chayton smiled and added, “I think your little ‘performance’ this evening convinced Preston and Camille of your devotion.”

Chayton chuckled at the open mouths on the tear streaked faces.

“Master,” Ayden said in awe, “you’re taking us with you?”

“If I can convince them.

The estate in Wyoming is in the middle of nowhere.

It’s pretty country, though.

I won’t have to worry about you two, will I?”

He stared into both sets of eyes.

“No.

Oh, no, Master.

We’ll be perfect.

We’ll do everything you say.

We promise, right Ayden?” Alyssa was smiling with excitement as Ayden nodded enthusiastically.

“You two drive me crazy sometimes, you know that?” he chuckled.

He reached out his strong arms and they rushed into them.

Two days later, word came back that the twins could go.

The one concession was that they had to be caged when alone in the house.

Chayton explained this to the excited twins and they understood why Master Sean had added the precaution, though they did not think it was necessary.

They would be leaving for Wyoming on Friday.

Alyssa and Ayden were excitedly standing by the pool when the jet landed.

Chayton came onto the back patio followed by Diablo, Arturo, Terrant, Brazil, and Ramone.

Helo was staying behind with Armand and Marik.

Alyssa watched Cyrus lower the stairs and Chayton walked up the steps with his long hair flying, followed by the twins and the other slaves.

Ayden and Alyssa walked through the cabin and stopped, staring at the chair across the aisle from Chayton’s.

Their fingertips lightly touched the fabric and Alyssa’s emerald green eyes fixed on Ayden’s crystal blue gaze.

Chayton watched the silent exchange.

Yes, that was the seat they had both been sitting in when they were brought to the island.

Similar thoughts ran through the twins’ minds.

He kept us both close to him where he could watch us, from the very beginning.

“Twins, you’ll have another wish fulfilled.

Up on my lap, Alyssa.

Ayden kneel down here so you can see out the window.”

Chayton put his arm around Alyssa and Ayden rested his hand on her thigh.

The jet took off, making a lazy circle around the island.

“It’s bigger than I remembered,” Ayden observed.

Chayton description of their location was no lie.

There was miles and miles of ocean, and it was more than five hours before the coastline came into view.

Two hours later they were landing on the airstrip in the mountains.

Alyssa loved the big log structure.

She sat on the porch looking down into the trees.

Chayton let the twins go for a walk while he finalized plans with the others.

He pointed out a path that took them to a small waterfall.

When they got back, they headed to the kitchen for a drink.

The cook was preparing dinner.

“I’m Louise.

You must be the twins.”

“Yes, ma’am,” they replied in unison.

“There’s iced tea in the fridge.

The glasses are over here.”

She opened a cupboard by the sink and handed one to each of them.

“Do you stay here all the time?” Alyssa was curious.

“Yes.

Henry and I have looked after the Masters’ estate for about ten years now.

It’s a beautiful place.

We’re lucky.”

She continued peeling potatoes while she spoke.

“You’ve seen the other Masters?” Ayden was surprised.

“Of course.

Last year they let a Master from Portugal use it.

He hated my cooking,” she laughed.

“Once he caught his beauty, he was out of here.”

“You know they…” Alyssa had no idea how to finish her question.

“Harvest.

Yes.

I know they harvest.

How do you think I got here?” She got up to put a pot of water on the stove.

“You were, they…” Ayden was dumbfounded.

“I was harvested twenty-five years ago.

Not by the Masters that are there now,” she added.

“The Masters before them.

When our Master decided to join the others and sell, he picked out the personal slaves that would be moving with him.

The rest of us who had been loyal were offered work on the island or one of the estates when they were available.

Henry and I met while we were working on the island for a few years.

When they bought this estate, they asked us if we’d like to come here,” she explained.

“You never wanted to leave?” Alyssa asked suspiciously.

“It’s different now.

Henry and I can go wherever we want, as long as we’re here when the Masters come.

All our bills are paid; we have a beautiful house to live in and generous allowances.

We could do a lot worse in the ‘free’ world,” she smiled.

They left the kitchen.

Peeking in the living room, they could see the others still talking, so they headed to their room.

“It’s weird to think of that old lady running a house for a kidnapping ring,” Alyssa said.

“I guess you kind of accept it as another way of life.

I know I’m not freaked out as much as I used to be.”

Ayden admitted.

“I asked her if she ever wanted to leave, and it occurred to me that I haven’t looked for a phone, a car or any way to get away for two days.

I don’t even want to look now.

The time before seems surreal, somehow.

I can’t imagine being without you, or Master.”

Alyssa was confused.

Ayden answered, “I think I like it better on the island.

There’s too much here.

I don’t like all the distractions.”

Alyssa agreed.

The next day, the other slaves were gone.

“They’re meeting the women and learning their schedule,” Chayton informed them.

“We’re going to see them later.”

Alyssa and Ayden thought he meant when they returned home.

Instead, in the afternoon he brought them clothes to put on.

Alyssa felt odd in the tight jeans, lightweight green sweater and sandals.

Ayden braided her hair.

The sweater hid her collar and cuffs.

They were cheerfully looking out the windows of the SUV as they traveled down the mountain.

Chayton gave Alyssa a ring to put on.

“You’re my wife and this is your brother.

Remember to behave, Ayden.”

“Yes, Master.

I guess it wouldn’t look right for your ‘brother’ to do this.”

Ayden tweaked her nipple.

She laughed and batted his hand away.

“Or for your ‘sister’ to do this.”

She started rubbing his cock through his jeans.

“Or for us to do this.”

He planted a passionate kiss on her mouth.

Chayton put his head in his hands, shaking his head.

“No.

That would be a most inappropriate way for a brother and sister to act,” he agreed.

“I’ll order dinner for us.

No drinks.

I don’t have IDs for you.”

The twins looked out at the ‘free’ people going about their business in the small town.

Some were laughing, but many had anxious, concerned looks on their faces as they made their way to cars and shops.

The vehicle stopped in front of a small restaurant and Chayton gave them last minute reminders as he led them into the bar and grille.

“There they are.”

Diablo announced, turning in his chair and quickly disguising his surprise at the appearance of the twins.

The idea to bring them to town had been a last minute decision.

Chayton detested the thought of his twins spending hours in the cage.

“Sorry we’re late.

I keep misjudging the distance of road to the town.”

Chayton held a chair for Alyssa.

“I’m Chayton.

This is my wife, Alyssa, and her brother Ayden.”

In that one sentence, he had let his slaves know the script.

Brazil lightly kicked Ayden under the table and Ayden glanced up, catching the mischievous glint in the big man’s eyes.

“This is Penny, Hailey, Martha and Barbara.”

Arturo pointed to each woman as he said their names.

“Chayton, these girls take a different vacation every year.

How many years has it been?” Ramone asked.

“Six.

We do something totally crazy every summer,” Barbara laughed, and for a moment she reminded Alyssa of Becka.

Ramone continued, “They’ve been camping in Yellowstone.

We ran into them on one of the trails and started talking about rock climbing.

They’ve never done it before.

I told them about the set-up at your house.

They’re only going to be here two more days.

Any chance we can drive up tomorrow for a couple of hours?”

Chayton appeared to be thinking about it.

“Can you make it in the morning?”

Ramone waited for the women to nod.

“Yeah, about ten?”

The plan was in motion.

Chayton ordered them hamburgers and fries.

Ayden and Alyssa watched with fascination as the handsome house slaves, dressed in tight jeans, swept the four vacationers off their feet.

“Have you tried it?” Penny asked Alyssa.

“No.

Ayden has.

I’m a little height scared,” Alyssa confided.

“There’s a waterfall at the bottom and I like to sit there and watch.”

The lie seemed to roll off her lips.

Alyssa had to remind herself the story they concocted was fictitious.

“This waterfall is near where they’ll be climbing?” Penny questioned quietly.

“I’m not much for heights either, but my friends really want to go.”

“Diablo, can you take them to the wall by the waterfall?

Penny wants to see it.”

Alyssa smiled as her duplicity in the plan was made public.

Penny gave her a slight smile of appreciation.

“Well, it’s a smaller wall.”

He appeared to be thinking it over.

“Actually, it would be a good beginning place to get the basics down.

After lunch we could move on to something a little more challenging.”

Diablo caught Penny’s nervousness and was trying to work around it.

Alyssa’s suggestion was perfect.

Alyssa and Ayden were in public for two hours and never made a move or sound to escape.

They sat in the car thinking about it on the way home.

Ultimately, they refused to admit to themselves they liked their new life.

Later when they talked about it, they said they were afraid of what would happen to Ayden’s long ago fiancée, Angela, or Alyssa’s former teammates.

The twins were back at the house laughing when the other slaves returned.

Alyssa said in admiration, “Okay.

You guys are good.

No wonder we fell for it.

I don’t feel nearly as gullible now.”

Diablo smiled at the compliment.

“Are you kidding?

You ladies were easy.

The only one we had to convince was Becka.

Brazil’s broken English took care of that.”

Brazil rolled his eyes and lightly punched Diablo’s shoulder.

“Let’s go mug a flat top and play some poker.”

The guys laughed and headed towards the card table.
