“It’s different when you’re married with kids.”

“Jesus man, I don’t see any kids around. You should be up in
bed shagging your wife hard.”

Mack laughed and picked up his coffee. He’d
like nothing more than to do that and had hoped his “join me in the shower”
suggestion would work but she’d insisted on letting out that damn cat and who
had shown up but Sawyer. Not that he wasn’t pleased to see his friend but the
timing couldn’t be worse. Or could it?

“Trust me, that had been my plan but you showed up on the
doorstep.”

“Sorry, man. I can leave… Or do you remember those times
before you got hitched when the two of us… Shit, those were the good old days.”
Sawyer laughed, which eased the tension in Mack’s body.

“Those were the good old days. Tasha’s not like that.”

“What? Not like a hot babe looking for action? Right, man.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Nothing. Want me to whip up my famous pancakes for you
two?” asked Sawyer, switching the conversation with ease from what Mack had
been thinking. Back in the day, Mack and Sawyer had enjoyed more than their
share of one woman at the same time. The sex had been hot. But Tasha wasn’t
like that.

Mack and Sawyer relaxed into more neutral territory and Mack
whipped out the ingredients his friend needed for his famous pancakes. Tasha
walked back in the room dressed in a tight-fitting shirt and short-shorts that
caused Mack to raise his eyebrows. Sawyer just winked at him and Tasha said
nothing as she helped herself to the breakfast feast, while stretching her
toned body to reach a plate. The movement caused the shorts to ease up more and
Sawyer gave an appreciative whistle.

Tasha blushed. “Stop that, Sawyer.”

“Stop what? Whistling at a good-looking woman? I’d have to
be dead before I did that.”

“You’re always the tease. So where’s your girl?”

“My girl…? Can’t remember the last time I had one.”

Mack gave Tasha a look and she quickly switched the
conversation. “Well, someday a woman will come and sweep you off your feet.”

“Yeah, and then she’ll get you to fix a porch, sweep the
yard and do the laundry,” added Mack.

Sawyer clutched his neck in a mock kill-me pose. “Save me
now.”

“Seriously, Sawyer, it’s not that bad.” Tasha looked at her
husband. “Is it that bad?”

Mack grabbed his wife around the middle, yanking her to him.
“Honey, I’ve got it bad but I’m just teasing Sawyer.”

“Man, I know. If I could find a hot woman like you, Tasha, I
might consider the commitment thing.”

“The commitment thing is called marriage,” said Tasha,
leaning back into Mack’s chest.

“Okay you two, enough. It’s time to eat before these
pancakes get ice cold.”

Without another word they all sat down and the comfortable
silence of three friends enjoying a good meal filled the small kitchen.

Tasha kept leaning over toward Sawyer and Mack tried hard to
ignore how flirty she acted. He fought a grin. They hadn’t had sex last night
and they’d both spent the night tossing and turning. He hoped to hell sweet
anticipation meant lots of sex later today because he too wasn’t immune to how
sexy his wife looked this morning or how girly she acted with his buddy.

“Thanks so much, Sawyer, for the pancakes.
It’s a nice treat not to rush to make breakfast,” said Tasha.

Sawyer leaned closer to Tasha and tucked a stray hair behind
her ear. “Mack even said he’d clean up.”

Tasha giggled. “This is my lucky day. So, Mack, what’s your
plan for the day?”

“You mean what’s on my to-do list?”

“Well, it’s not often the kids aren’t underfoot. Maybe
Sawyer could give you a hand with the front deck.”

Sawyer jumped in. “I’d love to help. That front stoop is totally
rotten and I almost put my entire foot through it. Shouldn’t take the two of us
long. Have you got all the supplies?”

Tasha stole another pancake as the two men launched into
shop talk and how best to fix the front deck. Tasha looked at Sawyer over her
second cup of coffee. Both men were often mistaken as brothers but each was
very distinct. They’d known each other since junior high when Sawyer moved from
Cape Breton to Halifax to stay with his father. The two teens had quickly found
one thing in common—both had lost a parent. Sawyer, with his thick, wavy black
hair cut short, pulled off looking clean-cut. But one glance at his pretty-boy
face with those piercing baby-blue eyes and dimples and you knew Sawyer was a
ladies’ man. Mack, on the other hand, with his black hair cropped close to his
skull, penetrating brown eyes and square chin looked like what he was—a police
officer. Both men were tall but Sawyer was a good inch taller than her six-foot
hubby, which he made a point of reminding Mack about whenever they were
together. Where Mack made up for it was muscle mass, though as Tasha looked
over Sawyer she realized he’d bulked up more since the last time they’d gotten
together. That had been about five years ago when she’d been a harried new
mother trying to juggle two toddlers.

“I’m going to make you guys a nice supper…”

Mack jumped in. “No, honey, we’re going to make you supper.
We’ll pick up something to barbeque tonight. You just take it easy for a
change.”

Well, Tasha didn’t know what to say that so she nodded.

“You mind if I hop in your shower first? I’d like to freshen
up after that flight from Alberta to here.”

Tasha took her plate to the sink. “I’ll get you some towels
and soap.”

“That would be great. Give me ten minutes, Mack, and I’ll
come with you to get the supplies.”

Mack nodded as the men picked up their dishes and started to
tidy up. A bit at loose ends, Tasha went back upstairs to get some towels for
Sawyer. In the bathroom she noticed the erotic book she’d been reading in the
tub last night. Instead of hiding it as her gut told her to do, she grinned. Flipping
open the book that had one steamy scene she’d especially enjoyed reading last
night, she grabbed a highlighter in her room and highlighted the one word that
had left her breathless last night. Feeling very naughty, she then left the
book open right where she knew someone would have to reach down and pick it up
to get in the shower.

“The shower’s all yours,” said Tasha, coming down the
stairs.

Sawyer had Cleopatra on his lap and the cat
purred like a lawnmower. “She really likes you.”

“I love cats. Dad couldn’t stand them. I think it was his
allergies but I always vowed once I settled down I’d get a cat. She’s
beautiful.”

Mack walked into the room and drew her body tight against
his as he hugged her from behind. “You’d have never known that a few weeks ago.
Tasha found the poor thing on the side of the road and like usual brought it
home. She seems to find stray things.”

Tasha leaned her head against her husband’s chest. At five
foot five she came up to Mack’s heart and had always loved how tiny his large
body made her feel, even when she’d put on about sixty pounds with the last
pregnancy. “Most of those stray animals have found homes but Cleopatra is
different.”

The cat nuzzled her head more into Sawyer’s hand, begging
for affection. Tasha knew how Cleopatra felt. Nerves were causing Tasha to be
skittish and she hoped she wasn’t acting like a fool. It had been hard enough
last night to get to sleep, especially with her husband’s hard cock pressed
tight against her backside. He hadn’t liked her idea of anticipation, and secretly
she hadn’t been too keen on it, but maybe her new scheme would be more up his
alley.
After all, you only live once,
she thought.

Sawyer gently moved the cat off his lap and then slid past
them to go shower upstairs. The sound of rushing water filled the awkward
silence but that didn’t stop Tasha from daydreaming about what Sawyer looked
like naked.

“It’s good that he dropped by,” she said.

“Yeah it is. Sorry we’re not going to have that romantic
weekend you had hoped for but at least we’ll get that front porch fixed.”

Tasha nodded. An odd lump had formed in her throat. Mack
just didn’t get it, or her. She, like that front porch, needed a really good
fix and how sad he didn’t recognize it.

Chapter Two

Sawyer chuckled to himself as he re-read the ménage scene.
He wondered if Mack knew how much of a naughty wife he had on his hands. Only a
fool would pretend not to notice the erotic book that someone, namely Tasha,
had taken a highlighter to. Still laughing as the hot water sluiced down his
back, his cock jumped to attention. It had been a while since he’d had a woman
in his bed but at the moment the female his mind pictured was Tasha. He’d love
to peel those short-shorts off her ass. Taking his straining erection in his
hand, he pumped himself as he envisioned taking Tasha while Mack watched. He’d
first kiss those luscious breasts and then, with her standing legs apart, he’d
lick her pussy while she leaned against Mack’s chest with Mack’s hands playing
her nipples to tight points. She’d be panting within moments with the two of
them and then he’d make her come.

Sawyer wondered if Mack remembered the rules
they used to play by. Mack liked to be the dominant one who issued the orders
and those commands had always stated that if Sawyer made the woman come Mack
would get to slap her ass. It was a fetish of Mack’s. Sawyer wondered if Mack’s
wife knew that or had first-hand experience. Something in his gut told him she
didn’t know. The thought of watching Mack turn Tasha’s pale ass pink with slaps
was a major turn-on and within seconds Sawyer’s cum shot out in a thick stream.
Groaning, Sawyer grabbed the soap and cleaned himself. Turning off the shower,
he dried quickly and then wondered for a second what to do with the book.

Going on instinct, he tucked the novel under his towel and
made his way downstairs. As luck would have it Tasha was nowhere to be scene. Grabbing
a plastic bag, Sawyer threw the novel inside and within moments he and Mack
were in the van and on their way to the hardware store for supplies.

“You ever think about those times when we were younger and
the women we had?” asked Sawyer, closely watching Mack.

Mack nodded. “Hell yeah. Fun times that.”

“You miss it?”

“Miss the women or what we were doing with them?”

“What we were doing with them,” said Sawyer.

Silence stretched for a full minute before Mack answered.
“What man wouldn’t, Sawyer, but Tasha’s not like that.”

Sawyer pulled out the plastic bag he’d hauled into the van
and showed the book to Mack. “You sure about that? I found this sitting nice
and pretty for me when I went into the washroom.”

Mack glanced over. “It’s just one of Tasha’s romance
novels.”

Sawyer shook his head. Mack obviously had no idea what his
wife read or what his wife wanted. “Mack, have you read this?”

“Read a romance novel? No way,” said Mack with a wild laugh.

“Well you should. Tasha’s even taken a highlighter to her
favorite part. Let me read this section to you.”

Mack was still laughing but he nodded. About five minutes later
he wasn’t laughing. “Sweet Jesus, do you think she wants that?”

Sawyer thought that indeed. “I think you and she should have
a conversation, but my gut says she’s looking for something wild this weekend
and what better man to fulfill her fantasy than me.”

“Are you seriously asking to fuck my wife?” challenged Mack.

“No. I’m asking you to ask your wife what she wants. Maybe
letting her be wild with the two of us will make you see her in a new light.”

Mack pulled into the hardware store parking lot and turned
off the engine. “Are you saying I don’t appreciate my wife, Sawyer?”

“No, Mack, don’t even go there. I know you love Tasha and
she loves you but sometimes in a relationship we take each other for granted.”

Mack didn’t say a word and Sawyer left it at that. They didn’t
say anything more on the subject as they got out of the truck and headed into
the hardware store. Thirty minutes later they were done and it wasn’t until
they pulled back into the driveway that Mack leaned closer to Sawyer.

“Give me that damn book and don’t say anything to Tasha.”

“Trust me, man, I won’t. This is your
decision. I’m just saying I’m game,” said Sawyer, stepping out of the van as
Tasha walked out of the house in a hot red bikini.

Mack swallowed.
Just where the hell did she get that? And
why is she walking around half-naked with Sawyer here?

“I’ve got beers on ice for you guys for later. I’m going to
enjoy the rest of the day in the backyard,” said Tasha, as she walked to the
mailbox to peek inside.
Christ, it’s Saturday and she knows there’s no mail.
She’s just showing off for Sawyer.

Sawyer gave an appreciative whistle and Tasha blushed.

“I told you to stop that,” said Tasha.

“I’m not dead yet,” answered Sawyer.

The idea of him and Sawyer playing with his wife made him
hot and hard and he wasn’t sure he liked it. Tasha had never expressed a wild
side before but then again Mack had never initiated one. The more Mack thought
about what Sawyer suggested the more he liked the idea and the harder his cock
got.

Tasha knew she played up her assets as she walked around in
her hot red bikini. She also noted that her erotic book no longer claimed a
spot in the bathroom. Lying on the back deck, she heard the sounds of hammers
and sawing as the two men worked to replace her front porch

“Tasha, come here!” yelled Mack. With his commanding police
officer voice, Tasha thought the entire neighborhood would probably come to a
standstill.

Sauntering over to the men, she walked up to Sawyer who had
taken off his shirt. Tasha eyed his muscled chest and the anchor tattoo on his
chest, a major turn-on. He had a light dusting of black chest hairs but she especially
liked the darker line of hair that led from his navel to below the waistband of
his jeans. He was hot both physically and literally. She handed him the beer
she’d brought with her and watched him take a swallow. Tasha couldn’t help but
notice Mack watching her. She found it hard to focus on her husband, especially
when her hormones were screaming for a wild romp.

“Look what we found,” said Mack, hauling out a
dirt-encrusted box from underneath the front porch.

“What is it?”

“Damned if I know. I’m going to open it though,” said Mack,
ripping open the top of the box.

When he pulled it free Tasha laughed. “It’s a spice rack.”

“Then where are the spices? Those bottles have little notes
in them,” said Sawyer, looking hard at the small clear bottles. Instead of
moving closer to investigate it, he edged sideways to be closer to Tasha and
handed her the bottle of beer.

Together they watched Mack open a bottle.

“Holy hell, this is freaking unbelievable,” said Mack,
laughing as he read the small note, which he then handed to Tasha.

Tasha read the note and sensed the heat creep up from her
chest to her face.

“Well it’s got to be something naughty if it’s made Tasha
blush,” said Sawyer, holding out his hand for a turn to read the note.

Tasha’s hand shook as she gave it to him and
when their fingers accidentally brushed each other it was like an electric
shock to her system. She didn’t need to look down to know her nipples had
peaked. She felt the fabric of her swim top stick to them. Grinning while he
licked his lips, Sawyer took the note and read it.

“Oh my god. I know exactly what this is,” he said. His smile
grew and the dimples made him look devilishly handsome.

“It’s a sex spice rack. These are given out at bridal
showers and the reason I know this is because I had a girlfriend who made me go
with her to buy one. Let’s read some more notes.”

Before Mack could open another bottle, Tasha moved forward.
“How about we read them later, once you guys finish the porch.”

They both groaned. “And if you’re good, who knows, maybe we
could try something out,” said Tasha, as she took the rack from her husband,
who tried not to look startled.

Tasha knew she was pushing things but hell, she ached all
over for a good wild time in or out of the sack. It wasn’t as if she’d set out
to play the seductress, but Mack left her no choice.

Walking away with her prize in her hands, she deposited the
spice rack with the nine bottles neatly lined up in three rows by the sofa in
the living room. She didn’t hear the door open and gave a small jump when
Mack’s voice washed over her.

“We’re taking a break. Can I speak with you upstairs,
Tasha?”

Nodding, she attempted to walk demurely up the stairs to
their bedroom. But as she swiveled her hips and heard her husband curse silently,
she knew she’d failed and a huge smile lit up her face.

Mack swallowed hard as he approached his wife.
How the
hell does one begin a conversation like this with your wife?
“So, we okay,
Tasha?”

She turned and gave him the “what are you talking about” look.
She looked sexy as hell in that red bikini and he itched to untie her top and
have his wicked way with her breasts. After all that foreplay last night and no
release he had been on tenterhooks all day. And Sawyer reading that ménage
scene certainly hadn’t helped his hard-on.

Mack moved closer and hauled his wife into his arms. “You know
I love you, right?”

She laughed. “I would hope so.”

He nuzzled her neck and loved how responsive she became.
“Sometimes I might not always show you how much I love you but you’re my world.
And I want you to be happy.”

“I am happy.”

He eased back to look at his wife. “Not always. I messed up
big-time last night. I know you want to have some fun and I’m okay with it.”

She blinked. “What type of fun did you have in mind?”

“How about we let the spice rack we found determine that.”

She nodded but cast her eyes down to stare at the hardwood
floor. Shit, he would have to spell it out. “So Sawyer found a book you were
reading in the bathroom…” He paused and watched a pink blush fall across her
chest and face.

“It’s just a book.”

“Did you enjoy it?”

“Loved it and you know it.”

“What parts did you like?”

“Listen, Mack, it’s just a book…a woman’s fantasy.”

“What if we made that fantasy come true for the weekend?”

She glanced up at him and then circled her
arms around his head, drawing him in for a deep kiss. “I might like that,” she
said once they came up for air.

He smiled. “You sure about this? Because once we start we’re
not stopping.”

“Mack, I’m a big girl. I know what I’d like to try. Plus
it’s not like I don’t know your history with Sawyer and the girls you’ve had
together over the years. I’m totally game.”

Mack’s heart beat so hard he had to take a steadying breath.
“You’re game to let me have my way and my rules with this?”

“What rules?”

“Honey, there are always rules when two men play with one
woman.” The minute he said it his wife’s face heated ten shades of red, which
pleased him greatly. She might like the idea of it but this was still going to
be a totally new experience for her and secretly that thrilled him.

“Mack, are you okay with this? Sawyer is your friend and—”

“Because he’s a friend I’m okay with it. Anyone else I’m not
so sure. Like you said, Sawyer and I have history plus he’s chomping at the bit
for a taste of you.”

“Are you serious?”

“More serious than he’ll let on, but yeah. So, honey, what
do you say?”

Smiling, she answered, “I say let the games begin.”

“Before I bring Sawyer in I want you to understand the first
rule. You come with Sawyer when I tell you to and if you disobey I spank you.”

“What?” squeaked his wife, her eyes all but popping out of
her head.

“You heard me,” said Mack, giving her time to adjust.

“Like a real spanking.”

“Honey, I won’t hurt you if that’s what you’re wondering but
yeah, a real spanking.”

“I guess this is a side of you I never thought to see.”

“So am I scaring you off?”

She splayed her hands wide over his chest and on her tippy
toes said, “If that was your intention, sorry to disappoint. I’m totally game.”

Capturing his wife around the waist, he hauled her to him
and sealed the deal with a tongue-dueling kiss, ensuring she felt his hard-on
through his jeans.

“Have you and Sawyer talked about this?” asked Tasha as he
went to the bedroom door.

“Yeah we did, especially after you left that erotic book,
highlighted and all for him to find.”

She laughed, which eased his heart. “A little too obvious.”

“Probably not for me and again I’m sorry about that. This
weekend we’re going to have fun. Let’s go down and talk to Sawyer and have a
few drinks.”

“Jesus, Mack, I’m not sure about talking about this with
Sawyer. Can’t I leave that up to you?”

“Let’s take this one step at a time. We’ll go down and talk
and see how things play out. You nervous?”

She nodded. “Yeah, I guess I am.”

“This is all about you, Tasha. I was teasing you earlier
about not stopping. If at any time you want to halt things just say the word.”

“Like a safe word?”

“Yeah, but not the word
stop
. Pick your safe word.”

“Peaches,” said Tasha, with a grin, as she moved past him to
flounce down the stairs.

Tasha knew she acted brave but it was all a
façade. Nervous energy and excitement made her less sure of herself. Her belly
muscles were doing somersaults. She plucked up her white wine that she’d left
on a table in the living room and downed half of it.

“You okay?” asked Sawyer.

Was it her imagination or was there a mischievous glint in
his eyes? “I’m good.”

Sawyer looked past her to Mack who then walked out of the
living room declaring he planned to get more drinks. Sawyer took the
opportunity to claim the seat next to her on the sofa.

“So, I gather you and Mack had the conversation.”
