MOXIE

By Selena Kitt

High school senior, Moxie, agrees to be moral support for her friend, Patches, who is totally enamored with a college boy, so she says yes to a double date, even though she has to lie to her parents to do it. But Moxie wasn’t counting on lying about her age to get into an X-rated movie, and she definitely wasn’t counting on her date’s Roman hands and Russian fingers, or the fact that the pants she’s borrowed from Patches are several sizes too small. By the end of the night, Moxie finds herself in far more trouble than she bargained for!

BOOK DESCRIPTION

Lacey used to take care of her big stepbrother, Jason, when he was in med school, so it was no surprise when she ended up in nursing school right alongside him.

But now Lacey and Jason are working together in the same hospital, and her sexy, older stepbrother is getting all sorts of attention from the other nurses.

Lacey’s best friend can’t stop going on and on about what a sexy beast the man is, with his big arms, broad shoulders and ice-blue eyes—and poor, sex-deprived Lacey can’t stop thinking about it either.

When Lacey goes to her stepbrother for her annual flu shot, he asks some probing questions and finally gets to the bottom of Lacey’s lacking love life.

And Dr. Jason thinks he’s get the perfect remedy for his stepsister’s intimate problem.

Lacey felt like death warmed over. Scratch that. She felt like microwaved death, after being shelved in the refrigerator for a good week or more. All she wanted to do was go home and sleep for an eternity.

“Are you sure you’re all right?” April asked as she returned to the nurse’s station, settling in behind her computer. “You don’t look so hot. You hung over?”

“I wish.” Lacey snorted, rubbing her brow and running her fingers through her short brown hair in an attempt to make herself look better. “I could use a nap. Like, the whole day kind. I haven’t been sleeping well.”

“I knew it.” April nodded sagely, making a face at her computer screen and hitting a couple keys to make it respond. “Maybe you’re catching what’s going around?”

“Dear, God, I hope not. The last thing I need is that flu bug.” Lacey reached for the Purell, just at the thought. “I’m scheduled until Thursday, and after that, I’ve got a pile of laundry, leaves to rake, and a leaky bathroom faucet to fix.”

“You need a man.” April grinned when Lacey gave her a dark, sidelong look. “Okay, maybe you should just call in sick?”

“Not yet.” Lacey hated calling in, even if she had the time. “Wanna cover for me if I do?”

“Want to? No.” April pulled her thick, blonde hair back into a Scrunchie. “Will I? Of course.”

“I hope it doesn’t get to that point. Right now it’s just the sniffles and low energy. I don’t have the cough and congestion—yet.”

“Are you taking anything for it? Zinc? Vitamin C? Penis-cillin?” April grinned again when Lacey rolled her eyes. “Nothing cures like dick, you know.”

“I wish.” Lacey sighed. “But who has time?”

“You would if you made the time. Know what? You should try speed dating.”

“Are you nuts?” Lacey laughed. “Do you have any idea what kind of weirdos show up at those things?”

“Hot weirdos. Well, some of them are hot. Some of them look like wanted posters.” April shrugged, as if saying
you can’t win them all.
“All I’m saying is you need to make some time for yourself. You work harder than anyone here, even me. You deserve some TLC.”

“I won’t argue that.” Lacey sat on the edge of April’s desk. “I just don’t seem to have time for a relationship. I’m swamped with work and fixing up the house. Vacation’s about the only time I get any action, and that’s only if I find someone worth it.”

“Ease up on your schedule. Guys out there would knock down the door to get to you,” April assured her with a cocked eyebrow. “You’re pretty, you have far better tits than I do—and that booty is bangin’.”

“Really?” Lacey stood up and looked over her shoulder to her backside. “You think so?”

“Every guy here talks about your ass.” April snorted. “I don’t know how you work it, but keep doing it. The things I’ve heard would make you blush.”

Lacey started to laugh, but sneezed instead. “Damn this cold,” she said.

“Did you get a flu shot?” April asked.

“Not yet. I should see if Jason can give me one before he goes home.”

“Fuck, get your brother to give
me
one while he’s at it.” April waggled her finely plucked brows like Groucho Marx. “Tell him to use the, uh,
syringe
between his legs.”

Lacey blushed. “You want his number?”

“I have a boyfriend, remember?” April tapped the side of her computer screen where a picture of studly guy with a goofy grin had been taped to the side. “This tall guy with the massage table on his patio?”

“Lucky you.” Lacey remembered meeting him at a hospital charity event, and thinking how lucky April had been to find him.

“But seriously, if your brother wants to tag in on me and Brian, just let me know.” April reached for her purse, tucked way under the desk, digging through it. “I will gladly let your brother plow me like a soybean field.”

Lacey burst out laughing. “You’re such a whore.”

“Damn right—why aren’t you?” April looked around the emergency room as she pulled a stick of gum out of her purse. It was a quiet Monday night, and the crew was light that evening. She glanced around like she was making sure no one else was near and still whispered to make sure she wouldn’t be heard. “How did you
not
fuck Jason when you two lived together?”

Lacey nearly fell off the edge of April’s desk. “What?”

“Did you?” April’s eyes widened as she unwrapped her gum.

Lacey sat open-mouthed and shocked for a moment before she was able to speak. “Uh… no. He’s my brother.”

Step
brother,” April said. “Your fucking
hot
stepbrother. My God, Lacey, he’s a dream. One of his arms is as big as both of mine, and those
eyes
.” April fanned herself with a clipboard. “Those blue eyes cut right through you.”

“Well, he
is
good-looking. I won’t deny that,” Lacey said.

“He’s more than good-looking. He’s entirely fuckable, I’m telling you. And’s he’s a gynecologist! He specializes in pussy, Lacey.”

Lacey squirmed on the desk.

The conversation was making her uncomfortable, but not for the reasons she’d expected. She and Jason had always been close. They were roommates when he was in medical school and she was in nursing school. They’d agreed it would be the best way to split expenses during the lean years of college. He’d come back later than she on most nights and was always exhausted.

She didn’t have it easy either, but he always looked like he’d been through the wringer. She made him a lot of dinners, put plenty of blankets on him when he fell asleep on the couch, and nursed him through a lot of illnesses when he was too deep into studies to take care of himself. He still raved about her chili to this day, claiming it was the best remedy he knew for nasal congestion and chills.

Neither of them had much time for dating in college, and they couldn’t help but get comfortable around each other. It wasn’t uncommon for her to walk into the bathroom to find him buck-naked and brushing his teeth or for him to come back from an early class to discover her topless and doing some yoga. It wasn’t a big deal. They were siblings and roommates. The first couple times were awkward, but after about the fourth time they just laughed about it. Lacey always thought he was attractive and would be great in bed, but he didn’t date a lot. Most of the girls he knew were in medical school and just as busy.

Then there was the time they were on the couch, watching some dumb comedy on late-night TV while she rubbed his feet. They were always sore from him running around the hospital all day. She laughed at some joke and looked to him to see if he found it as funny as she did, but he’d dozed off. She stopped rubbing his feet and finished watching the movie as he slept, barely moving the entire time, so as not to disturb him. Her thighs were asleep by the end of the movie from his feet resting there for so long. When the movie was over, she started to move his legs, trying not to wake him.

That’s when he stirred and she saw it.

He’d been having some sort of erotic dream. His cock was hard, making quite a tent of his gym shorts. His face twitched in his sleep and he made a couple short grunts in quick rhythm. He mumbled something about tits and before she knew what was happening, he was coming in his shorts.

She watched his hips jerk and saw his cum darken the material of his shorts. She didn’t move. She could barely breathe. When he rolled onto his side, that gave her enough room to wiggle out from under his legs, head to the bathroom, and shove two fingers into her pussy. She imagined him coming on her tits as she did it.

“Are you okay?” April asked. “Did you zone out on me?”

“Yes. Sorry.” Lacey shook her head to wake up a bit. “I guess I’m kind of out of it. I think I will go see Jason.”

She walked away, hoping April hadn’t noticed her nipples pushing out against her scrubs.

“Hey, sis. What brings you over here?” Jason glanced up as Lacey walked into one of the OB-GYN examination rooms.

“What are you doing in here?” She glanced around the little room. “When I asked, the nurse said you were stuck in here transcribing notes. Why aren’t you in your office?”

“Because that’s where people know to find me.” He grinned, leaning back in a stretch. “I can get some peace and quiet at the end of the day if I’m in here. What’s new?”

“My cold, that’s what’s new.” She sniffed. “I think I may be getting that nasty bug we’re seeing over in the E.R.”

“That sucks.” Jason frowned. “Did you get a flu shot?”

“I’m hoping you can give me one, before I head home and forget again.” She rolled her eyes at her own carelessness. “Plus it was a good excuse to come see you. You’ve been scarce lately. How’s life?”

“Busy. Always busy.” He stood. “I’ll get the vaccine. Just wait here.”

Lacey hopped up on the exam table, swinging her feet while she waited.

He was back in a couple minutes with the vaccine and syringe. “Are you sure it’s just a flu bug?”

“I hope it’s just a chill.” She made a face as he put the syringe on the table. “Do you think it could be something else?”

“Let’s be sure.” He grabbed the stethoscope from around his neck, putting the ear tips in, and held it to her back. “Big open mouth breaths.”

She arched without thinking, pushing her chest out, and took a few. Then he moved the stethoscope between her breasts. He kept one strong hand on her shoulder while she breathed. She felt her breath quicken as he moved the stethoscope under her left breast. His forearm brushed against her, tickling her nipple. She was glad he was still wearing his white coat, because the long sleeve kept his bare wrist from feeling how hard her nipple was under her scrubs.

“No congestion yet.” He hung the stethoscope back around his neck. “Let me check your throat.”

She knew the drill. She opened her mouth, and said, “Ah.” as he looked down her throat, up her nose, and in each ear.

“There’s some drainage, that’s for sure.” Jason nodded. “You need fluids and some chicken soup, I think.”

“Sounds like old times.”

“Yeah, you’re right.” Jason laughed. “How many times did you say that to me back in school?”

“I lost count.”

“You were born for nursing. You took great care of me, that’s for sure.” He took hold of her wrist to check her pulse. “I wouldn’t have made it through medical school without you.”

“You’re right, you wouldn’t have.” His fingertips on her wrist, just that slight pressure, made her body tingle. “You were so deep into your classes and that special project you were working on, you kept forgetting to take care of your own body.”

“I kept up with basketball games and your cooking. I’m still waiting for that chili recipe.” He checked his watch. “Pulse is a bit fast.” He put the back of his hand on her forehead. “And you’re a little warm. Let’s get your temperature.”

She opened her mouth for him again as he put the thermometer under her tongue. It beeped and Jason shook his head. “No fever. Just a slightly elevated pulse and you’re a little sweaty. Are you horny?”

Lacey laughed louder than she expected, which only made her more embarrassed.

Jason smiled and then pointed at her chest. “The nipples were a dead giveaway, sis.”

She looked down at her hard nipples and flushed. “It’s just… cold in here.”

It was anything but cold, and they both knew it.

“It happens all the time.” He shrugged. “Ladies come in for a routine exam and sometimes it’s the first time they’ve been touched by a man in months, maybe years.” He stopped as he was preparing the syringe. “Holy cow, has it been that long since you’ve been laid?”

“No.” Lacey rubbed the back of her neck as she looked at the floor. “Not…years.”

“Months?”

“Six.”

“Six months? How is this possible?” He gaped at her. Then he grinned. “You’re a damn fine woman, sis. You need to be out there getting some strange.”

“I’m really not into strange.” She chuckled. “I prefer something familiar.”

“There has to be somebody.” Jason took a seat on the wheeled stool. “A hunky EMT always coming into the E.R., a doctor, a security guard—somebody!”

“There are cute guys over there, but they don’t have the time and neither do I.” Lacey shook her head. “It really isn’t much different now than when we were at school.”

“I can relate.” He nodded. “In some ways I’m busier now than then, but I think I’ll be able to take some time off soon.”

He finished preparing the syringe. “Let’s get this done, at least.”

She slipped down, turned around and dropped her scrub pants, bending over the table.

“In the butt?” Jason sat up, eyes widening at the sight. “We’re going old school?”

“I need to do a bunch of housework and you know how I bruise. I don’t want a sore arm,” she said. The first part was true, but the second was a lie.

Jason swabbed her butt cheek with some alcohol and pinched a firm amount between his fingers. Lacey gasped as she grabbed the edge of the examination table.

“Oh my God,” he said, sending Lacey into an instant panic.
