Chapter 3

Hunter kicked the door of his room shut and lifted her into his arms. Solange knew that it was finally time for them to make love, and she felt her blood rushing through her veins. Hunter carried to the bed, setting her down when they got there.

“Are you sure this is okay?” He pulled her into his arms and placed his hands on the sides of her face, making her look up at him.

“I’m sure,” she said, nodding as his lips came crashing down on hers.

She could see the fire in his eyes as she pressed herself into him, her lips parting as they tasted each other. Her whole body was aching with need and she felt like ripping off her clothes and ordering him to make love to her right away, but she decided to let him take the lead so this could build even more. She was both excited and nervous since this was their first time together, and Hunter seemed more well-endowed than Jerome.

They kissed deep and hard, and as they were doing so, Solange felt Hunter pulling down the zipper on her shorts. Goose bumps formed on her skin, excitement oozing through her body when she felt the straps on her top giving way and falling onto the floor to leave her standing there feeling vulnerable in just her matching lingerie. He dragged his lips away from hers and pulled back, admiring her body almost as if he was making love to her with his eyes.

Solange held her breath when his hands reached for her breasts, squeezing them through her bra with just the right amount of pressure to send a zing all the way to the heat in between her thighs. He undid the clasp and let the bra fall off, her breasts naked for him to see.

“You sexier than I dreamed,” he said, massaging one of her breasts as he pinched her other nipple.

Solange was sure that at this rate she was going to come before they even made love. He lowered his head down to the breast that he was massaging and sucked her nipple into his mouth. A moan escaped her mouth and she closed her eyes as he sucked and nibbled on it.

“Oh god, that feels good,” she moaned.

He did the same to the other breast, sucking and nibbling on it pleasurably. Solange then felt his hand making its way down her belly and slipping through the waist of her thong. She was trembling as she parted her thighs a little wider to give him better access to her most sensitive part. She held his hand when she felt a finger slipping into her, his thumb beginning to rub over her throbbing bud.

Solange felt as if she had died and gone to heaven with all the sensations she was experiencing all at once. Hunter then began easing his finger deeper into her, stroking her in and out. Heat spread throughout her extremities from the attention he gave to her sex, and Solange felt as if she was going to lose her mind if he did not make love to her right away. Now she understood why the Olympic Committee distributed condoms at The Olympic Village. Something was in the air, or the water, or the food—she wasn’t sure which, but her reaction to Hunter was making her feel like there was some kind of magic going on.

“Hunter, please. You’re killing me. Make love to me already,” she pleaded softly with him, her body feeling so weak, her thighs trembling, she felt as if her legs were going to give.

“I am. Just making sure you’re ready for me,” he said, pulling his finger out of her and licking her juices from it.

He then pulled his shirt over his head slowly as she gazed at him, his eyes never leaving hers. He tossed it onto the floor and then unzipped his shorts before pulling them down and letting them fall to the floor. Solange swallowed hard when she saw him standing there in his boxers. His erection was as hard and as huge as the outline she’d seen on the plane, and it made her a little nervous.

She wondered if it would fit inside her, and if it would hurt, her eyes widening as he swiftly pulled his boxers off, exposing his shaft. It was long and thick, and the most attractive cock she had ever seen. The head was pink, thick and smooth with a huge slit on the tip. Hunter then hovered over her and hooked his fingers into the waist of her thong, tugging it down her thighs and down to her feet. Solange stepped out of them as Hunter began pushing her backwards towards the bed. It was then that the reality of what was going to happen kicked in, and even though she was a little panicked, she was determined to have sex with this man that she had to have, regardless of the consequences.

She didn’t know if this would be a one-off, or if he would be interested in seeing her when they returned to Baton Rouge, but all she cared about now is having him insider her. She trembled at the prospect and Hunter frowned.

“Are you nervous?” he asked, even as he pushed her onto the bed and bade her lie on her back.

“A little.” She was not sure, but she thought she croaked when she answered him.

“Relax. I'm not going to hurt you. We’ll take it nice and slow until you get used to me.”

He climbed onto the bed between her legs. She looked down at him as he parted her thighs wider, her heart skipping a beat when he dipped his head between them. Hunter zeroed onto her clit, sucking her bud into his mouth and she couldn’t hold back her reaction from the pleasure she felt.

“Oh yes!” She moaned, taking her hands down to his head and pushing his face harder into her sex as he sucked her even harder.

Solange squirmed with pleasure when she felt his tongue pushing into her depths, driving all the way in as it wiggled deliciously over her walls. With some reluctance, he finally removed his head from between her legs and climbed on top of her, positioning himself between her thighs. He took his cock in one hand and guided the tip through her hot opening. Hunter pushed just the tip in and out, giving her time to adjust, or teasing her, she didn’t know which, and Solange found herself longing for more.

“More, Hunter, I want all of you,” she said, digging her nails into his back.

There was a sudden increased forward movement and she felt him driving into her hard. Pleasure mingled with a bit of discomfort rippled through her body as he seated his cock all the way inside her. He began moving in and out of her and the tiny hint of pain she’d felt was soon replaced by pleasure that she couldn’t even begin to describe. Each stroke in and out of her brought her even more pleasure, and she could feel the heat within her building steadily. As Hunter continued to thrust into her with an alacrity unlike any she’d ever experienced, a knot formed low in her belly.

Surprisingly, she screamed with unabashed pleasure as a huge orgasm erupted within her, washing over her body like a blanket. She felt his shaft stiffening inside her, just as his hot release went shooting into the tip of the condom. Instinctively, she gripped him tightly with her muscles, milking every drop of the hot juice from him. It was in that moment she knew that this was the most unforgettable connection she’d ever had with a man, and she could only hope that Hunter felt the same way.

He pulled out and laid beside her, then pulled her in to snuggle against him. This was a good sign, she thought. Maybe there would be more nights like this one, at least while they were in Rio. She’d almost drifted off into slumber when he began to kiss her neck, making her sex throb for attention yet again. When he turned to embrace her, she felt that he was as ready as she was for round two.

Chapter 4

“What the hell is going on with you, Solange?” Solange's colleague, Ashley Luckett stopped her as she was coming out of the shower after a grueling day of competition with their team. The Track and Field competitions were intense, and they had athletes in almost all of them. It had been all she could do to sneak out to meet Hunter after finishing up her long days, avoiding Jerome and his lame-assed overtures.

“What do you mean?” Solange said slowing to walk along side her friend to their rooms.

“You haven’t been yourself since we arrived in Rio?”

“How so?”

Ashley stopped and folded her arms. “You’re scattered, unfocused, and downright dreamy-eyed most of the time. That’s not your normal working demeanor.”

Solange opened her door and Ashley followed her into their room. “We’re at the Olympics, Ash. This is an intense time.”

“There’s intense, and then there’s goofy. By the look on your face most of the time, there is only one thing it could be. A man. Am I right?”

Solange looked at her friend who seemed pretty concerned about her. Ashley was right. Solange had been fairly obsessed since they had arrived here. She had not stopped thinking about Hunter Fitzpatrick for one minute, particularly since they’d made love almost every night since they’d checked in, unbeknownst to their best friends.

They had come to some unspoken agreement and had decided to give in to the sexual frenzy that many of their colleagues were engaging in, but decided not to flaunt their affair like most did, uncaring who witnessed their casual hook-ups. She had grown quite fond of Hunter right from the start when they met on the plane, because he took such great care of her. She didn’t want to admit it, because she didn’t believe in love at first sight.

She believed that in order for one to fall in love, they had to have known one other for some time just to be sure they were actually in love. What she felt for Hunter was probably infatuation. What she really needed to do was to either forget him, or spend some more time together to determine if he felt the same way. She wanted to pursue the attraction they clearly felt for each other beyond their time in Rio, but wasn’t sure he felt the same way.

Bar none, he was the most handsome and sexy man she had ever laid eyes on. He had been so gentle and calm with her on the plan, and when made love. Solange could tell that he was still hurting from his brother’s death. She liked that he was such a loving, ambitious and determined guy—just the sort of guy she’d always wanted but never seemed to be able to get. Solange also knew Hunter would love selflessly just from the way he had talked about his mother and late brother.

“Solange, are you even listening to me?” Ashley said when Solange didn’t reply to her previous query. “Are you having man problems?”

“Problems? What would make you think I’m having man problems after what I’ve just been through? You’ve got to be crazy.” Solange said, trying to avoid the topic, although she knew Ashley too well to know that she would not rest until Solange told her what was on her mind.

“Listen, if Jerome is the one making you so absentminded, then maybe you still have feelings for that studly dud,” Ashley said with a glimmer in her eye.

“Don’t mention that jerk’s name ever again. I broke things off with him for good reasons as you well know,” Solange said, her voice filled with venom as she thought of the boyfriend that had not gone a day without emotionally and physically abusing her when they’d been together.

“Are you sure you haven’t found another man that suits your fancy?” Ashley said as she watched Solange finish getting dressed. They were preparing to head off to one of the stadium where the games were being held.

“Not quite, but there’s this guy I met on the plane, hot, dark haired and with a super sexy swimmer’s body,” she said softly. She squeezed her thighs together as she, remembered the huge erection he’d had when she woke up in his arms. His equipment was a bonus, but he was really sweet to help her get over her airplane jitters. “I think I really like him.”

“It is about time that you got yourself someone new. I always wondered why you ever hooked up with Jerome in the first place. He was no good for you,” Ashley said, patting her back. “So, when do I get to meet him?”

“Ashley, it’s not that I actually know him, we just talked on the plane, and later on I fell asleep against his shoulder,” Solange lied.

“So why not go look for him? The Olympic Village can't be that large, sweetie. Come on, hurry up or else we will miss the bus,” Ashley said, grabbing Solange's hand impatiently.

“I think I know where he is. But, you know Jerome. He’s going to cause a scene if he believes I’ve moved on with another man so soon after dumping him,” Solange said. This was part of the reason she was skulking around The Village with Hunter late at night. To avoid running into Jerome. “The athletics managers were thankfully in the front of the plane. I’m so glad he didn’t see Hunter and me together because I can't imagine the embarrassing confrontation that would have caused.”

Solange and Ashley were both team trainers for the track and field teams at LSU, and they traveled with the athletes to all their competitions. Having just turned twenty-three, Solange had dreamed of becoming a sports doctor, but allowed her heart to rule her head when Jerome Walters, one of the athletic directors, talked her into passing on the University of Chicago Medical School to stay close to him in Baton Rouge when his career took off. So she’d put her dream on hold for a man. How stupid had she been?

She had allowed herself to be seduced while on the job by an older man, and she had foolishly fallen for him at the time, only for her to realize a year later that he was an alcoholic and a serial abuser. When she’d made her second colossal mistake of moving in with him six months later, his true colors came to life. He would come home drunk and look for reasons that did not exist to beat her up. She had reported to the police several times, but he bribed them and they never followed up. Finally, she had given up and broken it off with him, but he had vowed that she would never be with another man for as long as he was alive. He would kill any man who came near her. That is exactly what she told Ashley.

“What an ugly loser. Did he really threaten you like that?” Ashley asked as they boarded the bus with the athletics team.

“Yes, and I think he’s capable of doing it. If anything bad happened to Hunter, I would die. But hey, maybe we could sneak over to where he is and watch him perform.”

Solange smiled at Ashley as they took their seats on the bus. She felt a surge of bile rising in her throat when she saw Jerome getting onto the bus, looking around and winking at her before taking a seat somewhere in the front.

“Such an asshole,” Ashley sneered, before turning back to Solange and speaking almost in a whisper. “Wait, did I hear you right, are you implying that this prince charming of yours is participating in the Olympics too, or is he some sort of musician or something?”

“He’s on the swimming team, so we just need to find out in which arena his events will be taking place here at the Olympic Village and score ourselves some tickets,” Solange whispered back.

“Word,” Ashley said. “I’ve always found swimmers to be kind of sexy. Those Speedos many of them wear don’t leave very much to the imagination,” Ashley said.

Ashley was right, most of the swimmers had very sexy bodies, and Solange couldn’t wait to see how Hunter would look with just his swimming trunks on. As a matter of fact, she couldn’t wait to see him again without any of his clothes on. This would be the first night she could hope to sneak away to see him compete. She’d missed the relay meet where he’d won gold with his teammates. Solange was determined not to miss any more of his events if she could help it.

She and Ashley had spent most of the day in the track and field arena with the athletes while Solange had done her best to stay out of Jerome’s way, despite the fact that he had embarked on a mission to apologize to her and win her back.

For Solange, he was a chapter that was closed, a mistake that should never have happened. She could not even understand how she’d let a man like Jerome convince her that he was the right person for her. She had agreed to go out with him initially out of curiosity. Her own father had died when she was so young, and a mature man had taken her under his wing at work and won her affection until he got her all to himself.

Jerome began abusing her because she refused him sex whenever he was drunk and made advances. What self-respecting woman wanted sex with a sloppy drunk? She’d cared about him enough to seek counseling and other remedies to what ailed their relationship, but nothing worked. He always reverted to type. When her mother and stepfather had enough of her hiding her bruises under makeup and sunglasses, they’d gone with her under supervision of the police to pack up her things and move her back home.

With Hunter, she felt their first encounter had proven he was different. Despite his obvious attraction to her, he hadn’t made any overt moves and had been content to get to know her, not get into her pants. She’s the one who’d done that. Yet, it was as if their souls connected in ways that she could not believe existed. She’d learned he wasn’t much of a drinker or partier, and he loved to read probably as much as she did, and his devotion to his mother ensured her that he was the type of man who would cherish her.

Maybe this was what it felt like to be in love. Solange thought of Hunter the whole time at work, and as soon as the track and field games came to an end, she and Ashley slipped away before anyone could notice, heading over to one of the smaller indoor arenas.

“I don’t want him to see me, but I also want to be close enough to see him well,” she said nervously as they made their way through the packed hall.

“I think there’s space on the second row down there,” Ashley said, pointing out some vacant seats near the front as the two women began making their way down the stairs.

Solange felt as if her heart was going to explode through her chest as it thumped wildly. She felt both excited and nervous, and especially when she saw Hunter walking into the room alongside other swimmers. He was wearing just team warm-ups and looking sexier than ever.

“That’s him, the one with the dark hair and bedroom eyes,” she said excitedly, unable to contain herself as she stood up and shouted along with the others cheering their entrance. “Yay, Hunter!”

He must have heard her because before she realized it, he looked her way, his dark eyes glittering as they bonded with hers. She felt some sort of electricity passing between them, just like it had when she had been with him last. He waved at her and blew her a kiss before proceeding.

“Now, that is one hell of a hunk, and from what I just witnessed here, I think you two have chemistry,” Ashley said excitedly as Solange sat back down.

“You must be imagining things, just because he blew me a kiss doesn’t mean he feels anything for me,” Solange said, wishing that what Ashley was saying was actually true.

When he shucked down to his Speedos, Solange got very warm, and Ashley faked a heart attack. “Oh my God, girl. The sight of him in that sliver of a swim suit…”

“I know, right?” Solange said.

Solange cheered until she almost lost her voice as the swimming began. She must have been cheering the loudest as she saw Hunter come in second, winning Silver in the first race and was just barely able to contain herself from running down to congratulate him. He had just gotten them their second swimming Olympic medal, as his teammate won the Gold. Hunter went in for his second match, a relay, and this time won another silver medal, and this time, Solange could not stop herself from dashing down to give him a hug as soon as the scoring had been done.

“Solange, you came,” Hunter said as she threw her arms around his wet body without a care.

Before she knew it, their lips touched, her lips fusing over his and parting willingly as his tongue sought hers. She felt herself go weak all over, her body beginning to tingle in ways that she had never imagined as they kissed in front of the whole world. She had to force her lips away from his and as she looked into his eyes, she could see that they were filled with a desire just as intense as the one that she also felt. It was then that she remembered Jerome’s threat.

“Congratulations, Hunter, I have to go,” she said, pulling away from him and scurrying back to where Ashley was. “Come on, I think I just made the third biggest mistake of my life by putting his life in danger.”

She turned to look at Hunter once more, and the anguish and confusion on his face hurt her more than she dared imagine as he was engulfed by reporters and news crews trying to get their first interviews with the USA Olympic swim team medalists. It was as if he was trying to ask her to come back with his eyes, but she could not. If Jerome ever found out what was happening between her and Hunter, there would be trouble.
