I go into the ladies to freshen up.

* SPENCER *

“Tell me you’ve got Patrón Tequila,” Rocco says to the bartender as he releases me from a headlock. I’d just finished sending my text when he grappled me.

“Sure do. How many glasses?” the bartender asks.

“Just two’ll do, but we ain’t stoppin’ at one,” Rocco says, his gruff voice booming throughout the room.

Fuck, I’ll be pissed as a mute before I get outta here.

“Girls, get over here,” Rocco yells, motioning the two promo girls over.

Ah, fuck.

They’re both tall and ridiculously skinny with long, bleached-blonde hair and wearing tight white tank tops and short denim shorts. They both lean their backs against the bar, either side of Rocco, linking an arm around his waist.

He twists his body around. “Lemon and salt,” he barks at the bartender, who promptly places a salt shaker and a bowl of cut lemon wedges in front of him.

“Straddle yourself a honey, Jones, and follow my lead.”

What is this fucker’s game? I’ve got no fucking chance at pulling out of this in front of everyone.
Fuck.
And where the hell is April? I can’t even scan the room without being glaringly obvious. I just hope to hell she doesn’t have to witness this, because knowing Rocco, shit’s about to get wild.

I’m nearly deafened by the wolf-whistle beside me.
Billy boy
.

Billy raises his eyebrows up and down. He’s had his fair share of rum tonight. Surprised he hasn’t tried to rope me into talking to some of the girls with him. Thank fuck I’ve been busy talking to my family and the MX organisers, otherwise I know for a fact that’s exactly what he’d be trying to do. The way he’s swaying though, I’d reckon he’s a drink away from spewing his hole off.

Rocco grips a girl’s waist, positioning his heavy boots either side of her heels. Pushing his hips into her pelvis, he sweeps her hair to one side, exposing the smooth skin of her neck. He lifts his chin in my direction, taunting me to follow suit.

I do the same, reluctantly, but my hips barely touch this girl. I do just enough to keep Rocco off my back, because he’s watching me like a fucking hungry hawk. Why, I don’t know.

Rocco licks a long trail up the girl’s neck, and then shakes the salt over her wet skin. She giggles like an airhead, and then looks to her friend beside her.

The girl in front of me leans her head to the side, giving me full access. She even pushes her tits towards me and makes some fake fucked-up meowing noise.
Urgh.
My tongue wants to shrivel back into my head, my mouth all of a sudden, dry. I quickly lick the side of her neck, snatch the salt shaker from Rocco, and dust salt on her skin.

“Lemon,” Rocco says, shoving a wedge between the teeth of each of the two girls. “Tequila, my friend.” He hands me a shot glass filled to the brim with the clear, headache material.

“Cheers,” I say, chinking my shot glass against his, spilling some of the liquid.

“Lick, sip and suck, bro,” Rocco says and licks up the girl’s neck in one long stroke, causing her to moan like she’s in a damn porno.

The room fills with roars and whistles as I lick up my partner’s neck. The tequila burns like a bitch on its way down my throat. My lips connect with hers, just enough to take the lemon from her, but she clutches the back of my head with both hands, keeping our lips locked. Thank Christ the lemon wedge is in my mouth, because she’s trying her damnedest to weave in her tongue.

I pull away and turn around. “Stone, Eevie, you’re up,” I call out, and peel the girl’s arms from around my waist.

Stone and Eevie, both all smiles, sidle up to the bar. Rocco is still locking lips with the blonde. Stone slaps him playfully on the back of his head, Rocco chuckling as he turns around and slaps him back in return.

“Stone, brother,” Rocco says and grips Stone’s shoulder tight. “You ready to put hair on your chest?”

“Yeah, mate,” Stone says and lets out a hearty chuckle. Eevie brushes past Rocco to the gap at the bar, pulling Aidan by the front of his shirt until he pins her in place.

“Billy Boy, get the fuck over here,” Rocco yells.

Billy almost trips over himself as he steps up to the bar.

“Atta boy. Careful, this one’s got a bit of bite to her,” Rocco warns Billy as he pushes him into the snaky arms of the blonde he just had a taste of himself. Billy stares at her warily, as if she might bite, but goes with the flow once she slides her manicured hands into the back pockets of his jeans.

“Hook us up,” Rocco says, waiving the bartender over.

That’s my cue to get the fuck out of here.

* APRIL *

The noise from the bar has died down a bit by the time I decide to re-surface to say my goodbyes.
Boys.

By the time I get to Daddy, last on my goodbye list, I swear my heart is in my throat, trying to make my getaway. I’ve got to be cool. Daddy can’t find out now.

“Daddy, I’m gonna head off. I’ll see you during the week.”

“Let me walk you, Peaches,” he offers.

Oh fuck. No, no, no. That is
not
going to work.

“No, I’ll be fine. You’re the manager of the moment. Just enjoy it. You and the guys have worked hard all year for this.”

“You sure?” he says, frowning.

I roll my eyes. “
Yes
. I’ll call you soon, okay?”

“Okay. Well I guess it is my shout for the next round. Gotta look after my boys.” He kisses me on the cheek and hugs me tight. “I spoke to Griffo. Congratulations on getting the job. I’m so proud of you. It’s just so good having you home. I’ve missed my girl so much.”

“Thanks, Daddy. Love you.”

He releases me from his embrace, and holds me at arm’s length. “Love you too, my precious peach.”

I dodge the large raindrops to get inside, and breathe a huge sigh of relief once I’m in the apartment. The hard part is over. Spencer won’t be long, and as he said, we can really celebrate.

I throw my backpack near the door, slip off my boots and flop back onto the bed. I close my eyes and moan with exhaustion as I breathe out.

What. A. Day.

He did it. He won. His family came. I can’t believe they came. The look on Spencer’s face was priceless when his parents went up to him at the track. When he saw his sister, I swear his eyes watered. I just hope they know how much it meant to him. I’m sorry that I had to be the one to push them to come, but at the end of the day, the happiness coming off Spencer was well worth it. It had turned my heart to goop. From the way his Dad, Carl, had looked at me, I’m sure Spencer had already put two and two together, but that doesn’t matter now.

A short time later, the lock on the door turns, and in he comes.

“Well, if it isn’t the man of the moment,” I tease.

Spencer steps out of his shoes and flops on the bed beside me. Turning side on, I run my hand over his chest, and rest it on his madly beating heart. Did he run back?

“It wasn’t easy to get away, you know. I had to pull a Houdini.”

“Aw, my very own magician.”

“Fuckin’ Rocco and his tequila,” he curses.

I straddle his hips and lean over him, my hair tickling at his jaw. “Hey, don’t worry about being late. You’re here now. “

“Yeah,” he says on an exhale.

“You know, Rocco caught me watching you tonight.”

“You were watching me?” he says with a cocked eyebrow.

I shrug. “As if I could help it, but I think he’s on to us.”

“Pfft. I doubt it. He’s been drinking all afternoon.”

Regardless of Spencer brushing it off, Rocco knows, but there’s no point me harping on about it. There’s something more important I need to be doing with my mouth. My man’s about to be gifted with a memory to take to the grave.

“So, now that we’re alone, care for a kiss of congratulations?” I say, bringing my face closer to his.

“Hell yeah,” he says, licking at his bottom lip.

I kiss him gently, savouring the softness of his lips and the heat of his mouth. A groan reverberates from the back of his throat, and the tension in his muscles fades as his body seems to turn to jelly beneath me. I sit up more, and run my hands through his hair, tugging at his earlobes.

“I just can’t believe I did it, and my family … Thank you, beautiful.”

“What for?”

“You know.” He moves his arms behind his head, wincing as if he’s injured himself.

“Are you okay? Are you hurt?” I ask, concerned.

“Nah, I’m okay, just wiped.”

* SPENCER *

“Did I ever tell you I did six month’s training as a massage therapist?” she says, running her hands firmly over my aching chest. My dick grows hard beneath her as she wiggles her hips, moving her sweet spot right on top of me.

I push out a deep breath through my nose and chuckle. “No. I think I’d remember something as hot as that.”

“Sit up, and take your shirt off. I’ll give you a sample of my handiwork.”

April pulls my body upright by my arms and peels off my shirt. She moves her skilful hands over my chest muscles, running up to my shoulders. It hurts, but it’s a good kind of hurt. A bit more of this kind of love and I’ll be feeling better in no time.

“You’re fucking perfect, April. You couldn’t be more perfect if you tried.”

“I’m not perfect. Trust me. I leave the lid off the toothpaste, I don’t floss like ever, and I haven’t done my taxes for the last three years.”

I reach up and cup her face in my hands. “I’m serious.”

She laughs, her eyes widening. “So am I, and apparently so are the letters from the tax office.”

I move my hips beneath her, my dick straining against the seam of my jeans. All day I had every intention of taking control of this situation—how I’d tease her, have her desperate for me and then drive into her over and over—but as soon as I laid down, exhaustion set in like a bitch.

“You know you might have to stay up there, do all the work. You don’t mind, do you?”

She raises an eyebrow, and her pretty mouth curls to the side. “You sayin’ this is my rodeo?”

“Hell yeah. Ride me, baby. Have your way with me. Whatever you want.”

Her smile turns naughty as hell. She teases me with her fingers at the waistband of my jeans and then undoes my belt, slowly pulling down the zip. She shimmies her body to my knees and tugs my jeans further down. My swollen dick strains against my boxers and I make it twitch, getting her attention.

She runs her fingers down my shaft through my boxers, and gently cups my balls. My gut muscles flinch as her long hair tickles my chest.

“Why don’t you close your eyes, and I’ll give you one more magical memory for today?”

Fuck me. She’s gonna do it. I’ve dreamt about this, daydreamed about it, and she’s right—it’ll be one more memory, a perfect memory, to add to the perfect day.

She flicks her hot tongue over my nipples, and then kisses a trail down my stomach. She runs her tongue along the inside of my right hip causing me to jerk and make my dick harder. April whispers something against my skin, dipping her nose into my belly button and swirling it around.

“Bit ticklish, are we?” she whispers, before running her tongue over the curve of my other hip.

“Mmm,” is all I can come up with. I close my eyes, savouring this moment. I should tell her now, but it doesn’t feel right when she’s about to go down on me. I wanna be inside her and feel her shudder against me. The first time I say it, it’s gonna be right. It’s gonna be as perfect as she deserves.

A loud series of knocks on the door brings my head out of my sexy fog. My eyes fly open. April stills and bites down on her bottom lip.

“Open the door, Jones!” the loud male voice says. The colour drains from April’s face, her smile fading with it.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

“Fuck. Is that Mac?” I whisper. I sit up and wrap my arms protectively around her shoulders.

“Shhh,” she says softly. “Don’t answer it. I’m guessing that tone in his voice means he knows something.” April’s body shakes.

A fist booms again on the door and I tighten my hold on her. “Open the fucking door, Jones! I know she’s in there.”

Fuck me in the arse
. The last thing I was prepared for was this.

“We have to let him in. We have to deal with this sooner or later,” I whisper loudly.

April moves to sit on the edge of the bed, and holds her head in her hands.

I quietly buckle my jeans and slip on my shirt. When I place my hands on her shoulders, she looks up at me, her demeanour cloaked in fear.
Okay
, she mouths.

I unlock the door, and Mac pushes past me.

“Where is she?” he snarls. When his eyes land on her, he growls something I don’t catch and then turns to me. The expression on his face is that of the angriest man alive. He might just kill me.

I’m frozen in place. His fist connects with my jaw, and I stumble back towards the wall. Pain radiates from the point of contact and I rub my chin, and glance up just as he swings again. This time, I move before it connects.

“Daddy! No! Stop,” April screams, gripping him from behind. Her arms wrap around his shoulders, and when she jumps onto his back he stumbles, and moves away from me. He rips from her hold, panting heavily.

“I don’t know what the hell you were thinkin’, getting mixed up with this boy. Just get out, Peaches,” he says to her through clenched teeth. He squeezes her shoulders and moves her closer to the door, and then his blazing eyes settle back on me.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doin’, Jones? You think my girl is gonna be the next one to warm ya bed? Well think again, you lowlife piece of shit. You’re not good enough for her.”

“It’s not what you think, Mac. It’s not like that—”

“Tell me then, Jones. Fuckin’ enlighten me.”
