Jeremy
“Shh, Jo. You might wake Brody and Ava.”
She throws her handbag on one of the armchairs and turns to face me with a look of confusion.
“What makes you think Ava is here?”
“I spoke to Brody earlier tonight.”
“Ahh, so that’s how you knew where I was. Now it all makes sense.”
When I had turned up at the small cocktail bar that Brody had told me about, I had pretended that it was just a coincidence. Jo believed me, but obviously now she knows I was full of shit. I’m not going to tell her why I was there though.
“What makes sense?”
She bends down and unzips one of her knee high boots, before stepping out of it. Her bare, tanned leg looks so smooth and I just want to run my hands over it. She tries to bend down and unzip the other boot, but she loses her footing and stumbles. I quickly reach out and grab her around the waist preventing her from falling onto the floor.
“Thanks. So, I guess Brody sent you to make sure I stayed out all night so he and Ava could have the place to themselves?”
I glance down at the floor, my arms still wrapped around her waist.
“No.”
“You are such a bad liar, Jeremy. It’s so obvious you had an ulterior motive. So did you come and distract me so they could have some alone time, ‘cause all they had to do was ask.”
“I didn’t do it to give them alone time, Jo.”
“Okay, why did you do it then?”
She is standing in front of me with one boot on, hands on her hips trying to look angry, but she just looks so damn fucking cute. I can’t help myself, I tell her.
“I did it to be with you. I wanted to spend time with you.”
Her blue eyes soften slightly and she glances down at the floor. I place my finger under her chin and gently lift her face so that I can see her eyes again. She avoids my eyes and looks at the front door.
“Jo, look at me.”
Her eyes slowly drift up toward me again and I see fire in them. She glances at my mouth and I pull her closer to me, leaning down, so that we are nose to nose. Her breathing is deep and fast and I can see her chest rising and falling in her black tank. She pulls her bottom lip in between her teeth and that signals the end of my resistance. My mouth crashes down on hers and as soon as we connect her body leans into mine and she wraps her arms around my neck. Her fingers weave into the hair at the back of my head and she pulls me even closer. Her tongue darts into my mouth and I’m lost in the kiss. Our tongues caress each other as she slowly pulls me backward toward the couch. We trip on her discarded boot, before reaching the couch. She suddenly spins us and pushes me down. I fall onto the couch and she climbs onto my lap.
She stares into my eyes as she pulls my t-shirt over my head.
“This is such a bad idea, Jeremy.” She then starts to unbutton my jeans, obviously not enough of a bad idea for her to stop.
“Why is it a bad idea Jo? Ever since that night in my car, all I have been able to think about is when it would happen again.” She leans down and attacks my mouth again, sucking my bottom lip into her mouth and biting it gently.
“I wasn’t thinking straight that night. “This will only complicate things between us even more.” Her tongue traces my lips before she sits back and stares into my eyes, a pained expression on her pretty face.
Raising my hand I trace the contours of her face with my finger and her eyes close. My finger traces her lips and she moans softly before I place a hand on the back of her head and pull her mouth to mine again. Between kisses I tell her that we will be fine.
“There’s nothing complicated about you and me. This is meant to happen.”
She moans again and quickly rips off her tank before wriggling around and trying to get my jeans down lower. Quite a difficult task when you’re sitting down.
She’s wearing a skirt that has risen up around her hips and she tries to shimmy out of her panties, but I can’t wait any longer so I tear them off her and throw them on the floor.
She grins and brings her mouth back to mine, her tongue explores my mouth as she reaches down between us and strokes my hard dick. Her touch is enough to drive me wild and I moan into her mouth as her fingers lightly tease the tip. She lifts her hips and slowly lowers herself onto my cock, her muscles clenching me.
“Ohh, fuck. Jo, you feel so good.”
She lifts her hips again and this time she pushes down harder. She throws her head back in pleasure as she grinds her hips up and down. Her breasts are right in my face, and I need to free them of the restricting bra. Reaching around her back I unclasp it and toss it behind the couch as I gaze down at the perfection in front of me. Her round, firm breasts are gorgeous as they bounce slightly with the movement of her hips, her rosy pink nipples are hard and begging to have my mouth on them. I circle a nipple with my finger, then roll it between my finger and thumb and she breathes a sigh as her hips speed up. I can feel her tight muscles clenching around my cock and I know that she is close. Sucking one nipple into my mouth I continue to pinch the other one between my fingers.
She suddenly leans forward and grips onto the back of the couch as she stares into my eyes. The passion and hunger I see is enough to send me over the edge and I raise my hips to meet her every thrust, the feeling of being inside of her something I could become addicted to.
She suddenly stiffens and her movements slow as the orgasm takes hold of her body. She throws her head back again and cries out as the waves of pleasure wash over her. The look on her face and the sound of her cries bring on my release and I pull her mouth back to mine. My tongue explores her mouth as my hips rise up to meet hers and her muscles are still tightening around me as I explode inside of her. She whimpers softly as she shudders around me, our bodies are slick with sweat and we are both breathing heavily. I pull her down into my arms and run my hands up and down her back as she catches her breath.
“That was amazing, Jo. You are so fucking hot.”
She suddenly stiffens and jumps up off of my lap, the sudden movement a little painful on my sensitive flesh. She pulls down her skirt and finds her discarded shirt before pulling it roughly over her head.
“That shouldn’t have happened, Jeremy.”
I can’t believe what I’m fucking hearing.
“Are you fucking kidding me? Why the hell not?”
I’m yelling now and she flinches slightly.
“You aren’t into relationships. Look at what happened with you and Ava…The groupies. Sex between friends is too complicating.”
“Tell me you’re joking.”
“Jeremy, you’re one of my best friends, I don’t think I could handle losing you.”
“Why would you think you would lose me after what we just did?”
I stand up and pull my jeans up, my hard on well and truly gone now.
She stops pacing the room and walks toward the front door.
“Because, you already got what you wanted. Twice.”
I storm over to her and look her in the eyes, asking softly.
“Is that all you think I’m after? Sex?”
Her eyes don’t leave mine as she gently nods her head.
“Well, you know what, Jo? I know exactly what I want. When you decide what you want, give me a fucking call.”
I storm out the door, realizing that I’ve left my shirt behind, but I don’t care. I’m so fucking angry, at her, at myself. She was right; sex between friends does complicate things. It makes people fucking crazy.
I flag down a cab and get a weird look from the driver as he takes in my half naked appearance. All the way to my house I am fuming. The anger is coursing through my veins over this girl being so hot and cold. One minute she’s all over me and the next she is throwing me out. What the fuck is her game? She thinks that I can’t be faithful to someone? She is comparing our relationship to mine and Ava’s and just assumes that because I fucked that one up that I couldn’t handle any serious relationship? She’s part of the fucking reason that me and Ava didn’t work out. I know that now. Ever since Jo told me that she loved me all I can think about is her. Deep down I have known all along that I want her, I was just too scared to admit it. But, fuck! If she doesn’t trust me, there’s no fucking point even trying. I’m done!
Brody
Ava and I spend the next twenty four hours in my room. We leave the bed for a shower and food, but the majority of the day is spent exploring each other’s body mixed in with a little bit of conversation.
On Sunday morning we decide to join the living and emerge from the room planning to spend the day seeing some sights around L.A. Ava has been here for a while now but still hasn’t had a lot of opportunities to explore the city.
We are sitting at the table eating our breakfast when Jo walks out of her room. I glance up at her and see that her eyes are all puffy and red, like she’s been crying.
“Hey, Jo.”
“Good morning, lovers. I’m surprised you made it out of your room at all.”
She sits down opposite us and Ava blushes a little when I look at her. Jo rubs her hands over her eyes and then drops her hands to the table when she notices me watching her.
“Jo, are you okay?”
She shrugs.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just a little tired is all. It’s hard to sleep with you two moaning all night.” She grins to let us know she’s joking but the smile doesn’t reach her eyes. Something is wrong.
“Jo, spit it out. What happened?”
“Well, since it’s all your fault, I may as well tell you.”
What the hell is she talking about?
“Okay, so, your little plan to get me and Jeremy together totally failed.”
I feign innocence.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Both girls are looking at me with curious expressions.
“Okay, fine. I wanted to treat Ava to a nice romantic dinner and Jeremy was happy to distract you. I thought it might be good for you guys to have a night out together.” Ava gives me a stern look and I hold my hands up in defense.
“Okay, so I guess I’m not very good at this match maker stuff, but you and Jeremy seem to be getting a lot closer and I thought I could maybe…give you a push.”
Jo shakes her head and looks down at the table. Ava reaches out a hand and places it over Jo’s hand resting on the table.
“Sweetie, what happened?”
Jo looks up at Ava and I notice tears in her eyes.
“I love him so much, but we just wouldn’t work. We’re both so different…”
Ava shakes her head.
“You can’t think that way Jo. You are in love with him and I see love in his eyes when he looks at you. He just needs to realize that he’s in love with you.”
“Well if he didn’t realize it last night, it’s not going to happen.”
She bites her bottom lip like she’s told us more than she intended.
“What happened? Did you two…?”
She nods her head and the tears run down her cheeks.
“When it comes to Jeremy I obviously have no self-control. It was one of the best moments of my life, but after it was over, I realized that it was a huge mistake. Ava, you of all people should know that he is not relationship material.”
Ava shakes her head again.
“No, don’t let our short fling decide your fate. He wasn’t ready for a relationship with me because he doesn’t have those feelings for me. Plus my heart always belonged with someone else, so neither one of us was totally committed to the relationship.” She glances over at me with a smile. My grin spreads across my face and I run my hand over her thigh under the table. Her hand covers mine and she gives it a slight squeeze. “Jo, it can be different with you. Please don’t give up on him.”
“I can’t, Ava. I can’t give my heart to him completely unless he is willing to do the same. Until then, we can only be friends.”
The girls chat for a few more minutes before Jo gets up to go and take a shower. After she leaves, Ava is quiet but I can almost hear the wheels of thought turning inside her head.
“Baby, what are you thinking about?”
‘I just feel so terrible for Jo. I know exactly how it feels to be so in love with someone and they have no idea you even exist. But I think Jeremy does love her and I think we need to help him realize that.” She watches me closely for a few seconds, then her eyes widen.
“I’ve got it. We’re going out for dinner next Saturday. You find us somewhere nice to go and leave the rest up to me.”
Grinning at her, I don’t even ask what her plan is. I am too turned on by the devious look in her eye. Pulling her onto my lap I tell her we had better get going before I lay her down on the table and ravish her sexy body. I am kind of looking forward to Saturday night though to see what she has in mind.
A few days later I am about to leave my place to catch a cab over to Ava’s. She finished work an hour ago and said to meet her at her place. I open the front door to see Jeremy standing there, hand raised about to knock.
“Hey, Jeremy. What’s up?”
He quickly glances behind me into the living room before looking back at me.
“Hey, man. I um…I just…um…Just come outside with me.”
“Okay…” What the hell is he up to?
I follow him out of the building and to the parking area. I’m watching him suspiciously, waiting for him to tell me what he’s up to.
“Jeremy, what’s going on?”
He suddenly turns to me with a cheeky grin.
“Well, I know that you lost a lot of things the day of your accident. You lost your memories of our tour, of Ava, but you also lost your most prized possession, the love of your life before Ava.”
What the fuck is he talking about?
“I’m confused.”
He signals to his right.
“She’s all yours.”
My eyes drift to my left and I suddenly notice the Harley Davidson Forty Eight sitting between a couple of cars.
“What the fuck? Are you kidding? She’s mine?”
Jeremy is laughing at me as I look back and forth between him and the bike.
“It’s yours Brody. You’ve been through so much lately; I just wanted to do something for you.”
“I…I can’t…why? This is too much. I can’t except a gift like that, man.”
“I’m not taking it back. It’s yours. Go check it out.”
I give him a quick pat on the back before walking over to the bike.
It’s a black and blue Forty Eight, brand new model with a 1200cc Evolution Engine and closed loop exhaust system.
“Jeremy, she’s beautiful. Honestly, this is the best gift anyone’s ever given me. It means a lot, man.”
We stand there going over every little feature of the bike, until I realize I’m supposed to be at Ava’s.
“Shit, Jeremy, I have to go. I was supposed to be at Ava’s half an hour ago.”
“Well, now you can ride over there.”
I give him a quick hug and thank him again before pulling the helmet over my head and starting up the bike. The sound of the engine is music to my ears and the vibration and power beneath my legs is a feeling that I have missed.
I thank Jeremy again and he heads toward his car. He said he had the bike delivered here directly from the supplier, so he could drive his car and get back home.
When I arrive at Ava’s, she’s sitting out on her front balcony and as I pull up on the bike, she frowns slightly.
I park the bike and walk toward her place, removing my helmet.
“Hey, Baby.”
She crosses her arms across her chest before walking back inside. I wonder what she’s pissed off about.
She meets me at her front door with the same frown.
“What’s wrong?”
“Brody, where did that bike come from?”
“It’s a present from Jeremy. Isn’t she beautiful?”
“It is a nice bike, but isn’t it too soon after the accident?”
Shaking my head I pull her into my arms and reassure her.
“The Doc gave me the all clear once I had full strength back in my shoulder. Is that why you look angry? You’re worried about me?”
She gazes up at me, the concern etched across her face.
“I just hate the thought of anything happening to you again.”
“Baby, I’m not going anywhere.”
I spend the next couple of hours proving it to her.
