Robin Cooper smoothed her skirt down nervously and took a last look at her reflection in the full-length mirror in her bedroom; she was really pleased that she had received some birthday money off her Aunt Josie; it had meant that she could have some golden and caramel lowlights in her long blonde hair. The new hair color suited her perfectly; she was already a stunning girl of twenty-one, but the new color made her green eyes sparkle, and made her look more grown up.
“I feel more ‘womanly’ already,” she thought, patting the long waves, and hoping it would make the handsome stranger notice her this time. She applied a last slick of lip gloss, picked her bag up and got ready to go.
She lived at home with her mom and dad; she and her boyfriend Brad were saving hard to try and get a small apartment where they could have some peace and privacy. Although she adored her parents, it would be nice for her and Brad to be able to let loose and kick back without being afraid of their parents walking in at the wrong time.
This temp job at Wallace International had turned up at just the right time; Brad was a mechanic at the garage in town, and he didn’t earn enough to support them, so the extra money was very welcome. It all went into her Bank account, and she was counting the days until they had enough for a deposit somewhere. Although her position at Wallace was a junior one, she hoped that if she worked hard that they would keep her on as a permanent member of staff; they could really start saving then.
And as for the handsome man in the lift, he was starting to fill more of her dreams; only last night she had woken up in the middle of the night, conscious of the damp patch between her thighs. In her dream, the handsome stranger had whisked her away for a romantic meal, and then taken her to his penthouse somewhere to make love to her; but this love-making had been far different from the kind that she and Brad usually did. This had been definitely sex; hot, raw, noisy, sweaty, sex and it had been fabulous. In the dream he had stroked and massaged her whole body ‘til she felt as though she was on fire; his masterful fingers had managed to undo buttons and zippers that would have left lesser men a fumbling nuisance. He had expertly undone the catch on her brassiere, and thrown it somewhere into the corner; she remembered thinking that she didn’t care where it had landed, all that mattered was his touch. And when that touch came, she was in heaven; his mouth had sucked and nibbled at her nipples until they were twin peaks of desire. His strong hands had eased her backwards onto a couch, and his nipples had returned to her breasts, sucking more firmly now. His hands were exploring the soft skin on the inner part of her thighs, and were gradually working higher and higher, until the back of his fingers had brushed against her soft pubic hair.
“I can feel your heat” he had whispered, “Now feel mine;” and he had placed an enormous hard cock into her outstretched hand. His hand held onto hers and encouraged her movements, until she was stroking his shaft in just the way that he liked it.
She had felt his fingers slip into the wet cleft of her pussy, and move upwards to circle the swollen bud of her clit. Robin had felt her own movements start to match his, as her hips left the couch, urging his fingers to explore, willing them to fuck her.
“Oh yes,” she had gasped, as the fingers pumped in and out of her hot tunnel, “Yes, yes!” and she had woken up, disappointed beyond belief to realize it had all been a dream. She had been that turned on with the thoughts of his fingers and tongue, that she had no option other than to finish the job herself; two or three swirls of her fingers around the wet hood of her clit and she had an immediate release as the spasms swept through her tired body. She licked her fingers clean, and went to sleep with a smile on her face…………”Someday soon, hopefully” were her last waking thoughts.
She and Brad had been together since schooldays, and everyone expected them to get married and have kids some day; but Robin wasn’t too sure. She yearned for something different, something exciting, but couldn’t quite say what that ‘something’ was, she just knew there was more to life………..somewhere.
Grabbing a bagel on the way out of the door, she called “Bye, mom, see you later.”
“Ok, darling, have a good day.”
Robin went to the end of the road to catch the cross-town bus into O’hare; “I work in the business capital of the Mid-West; little old me from the suburbs of Park Ridge.” She was excited every day, about the future, about her job, but most especially about seeing the handsome stranger. She planned her arrival with precision; knowing that if she got there at eight twenty precisely, that he would be mounting the imposing stairs to the entrance, at just the same time. Her mom was always scolding her for eating ‘on the hoof’, and telling her she would get indigestion; but it was necessary if she was to have enough time to get ready, and still encounter the stranger.
He hadn’t spoken to her thus far; but things had progressed to a nod of the head. Robin’s heart had leaped the first time he did that; “He noticed me at last!” she thought and was smiling for the whole day after!
The bus seemed to take forever that morning, and she ran the two blocks to the office, checking her watch constantly; he was just disappearing inside the automatic doors as she was at the bottom of the steps. Never had she taken that many steps in such a short space of time; she almost tripped over the top one in her haste to get to the elevator in time. Her heart sank as the door was just closing as she ran across the foyer, until a hand stopped it from going any further; he had held the door open for her.
“Thank you,” she said, looking him in the face properly for the first time.
“You’re welcome,” he smiled in return, and then turned to face the door as usual.
She was glad he hadn’t said anything else that day; her heart was beating too fast for her to even think of talking coherently, so she just waited for her floor, gazing at the back of that well shaped head. His hair was thick and dark, and slightly longer than was fashionable, but it suited him. He smelled of cigars and expensive aftershave, and wore designer suits; this mornings’ was a delicate shade of charcoal, which set of his gray eyes to perfection. When he had looked at her, she noticed the patrician nose, and well groomed eyebrows; he was everything that Brad wasn’t. As much as she loved Brad, (or thought she did, having precious little experience of other guys to speak of) she couldn’t help but fantasies about this guy. Who was he, what department did he work in, is he married, does he even know I’m alive? Several questions tumbled over themselves in her mind on most days; but today was different. He had looked at her and smiled, so now he
did
know she was alive.

Joshua Wallace made a mental note of which floor the pretty newcomer got off at; “Hm, number four, so she must be the new junior temp in the filing department,” he mused. He prided himself on knowing when new staff were appointed, and always attempted to get to know their names; although the last month had been hectic, and he hadn’t had the time to complete his normal monthly staff review. “I will make sure I catch up on that this morning,” he thought, “She definitely has ‘potential.’”
Reaching his private offices in the penthouse suite, Joshua just had time to place his briefcase on his desk, when the first phone call came; the rest of the morning was spent in a whirl of activity and calls, without enough time for even a coffee.
“Rebecca, please come through; I only need about five minutes of your time. Bring details of any new staff from the last month please; I need to do a quick review, then I need to check the schedule of appointments later in the week. Yes, an espresso would be very welcome, thank you.”
Rebecca was Joshua’s Office manager, right hand woman, best friend and confidante, all rolled into one; she had worked for Joshua for many years, since the early days, and he trusted her absolutely. She came bustling into his inner sanctum, with a
coffee
in one hand, milk jug in the other, and a sheaf of paperwork tucked under her arm.
Rebecca poured them both a coffee, added milk and brown sugar to Joshua’s and got her stenographer’s pad and pen at the ready. “So, where would you like to start?” she asked brightly, pen poised.
“I think we shall co-ordinate the diary initially, then you can leave me to it, thank you; by the way, field any calls for the next half an hour or so, could you? I need some peace and quiet to think.”
“No problem.” Rebecca was super-efficient and had the ability to sense what Joshua needed, almost before he did. She could tell that there was something thoughtful about his demeanor today, and knew he had something on his mind; it was her job to ensure that he did not get disturbed, and she would make sure that he
would
have his peace and quiet.
Ten minutes later, Rebecca left him to get on, and went out, closing the door quietly behind her.
Joshua sat back in his large leather chair, and reflected on the morning thus far; he was intrigued by the newcomer in the elevator, and wanted to know more about her; where was she from, how long had she been here? She could become his next ‘project’ he figured, and made a point of thumbing through the list of newcomers until he found her personal file. “Hm, Robin Cooper, twenty one, from Park Ridge.” He touched the small passport-size photo attached to her application form, and stroked along her jaw-line thoughtfully; he would make a point of bumping into her in the morning.
His attention was forced to return to business matters for the remainder of the day; he was CEO of Wallace International, whose main priorities were Investment Services; mainly those of custody services, whereby his company dealt with the safekeeping of the world’s securities trades, and their associated portfolios. They also dealt heavily in asset and hedge fund management, and they were due to complete on a large buy-out of an Insurance broker later on that week. Joshua knew that he could do with a PA on that job, but Rebecca was way too busy with the running of the office, not to mention the numerous other duties that he had bestowed on his oldest friend; maybe he could think of a way to get Robin up to his office, to assist with filing and photocopying etc.? “Definitely food for thought” he told himself, aware of the stiffening of his cock, at the thought of the sexy little stunner in the lift.

Robin’s heart leaped when her immediate supervisor, Miranda, told her she had a special job to do the following morning; she was to work with the CEO! She wondered who he was, and if maybe this would lead to a permanent job; she certainly hoped so.
The remainder of her day seemed to take forever; all she wanted to do was to get home, see Brad, and plan her outfit for the following day. She wanted to look professional and business-like, and make sure that she made a good impression; this could make a huge difference to her future.
Robin hurried her meal so that she could sort out the contents of her closet for the following day; “Why does everything look so childish?” she mused, “I really need to get some proper work wear sorted out; Mom? Have you got a black skirt I could borrow for work please? I have to do a job for the CEO tomorrow, and want to make a good impression.”
Caroline, Robin’s mom, was a young-looking forty two, and still had the same slim figure she had in her twenties; she ran upstairs, knowing how important it was for Robin to look good; she had been exactly the same at her age, and that was how she had met her husband of twenty three years, Marvin. He had been her manager at work, and it had been a case of ‘love at first sight.’ Caroline wished that Robin could find someone more suitable for her than Brad; he was a nice enough boy, but he lacked ambition, whereas Robin had a vision for her future, and was determined to do well in life.
