Thus it was at last. All the past known, no more secrets between them, she was loved and cherished, safe and secure.

That wonderful realization drove her on, and spurred her to bring him to the zenith, to share her passion and her joy, until at last she cried out in completion, and he with her.

Their breathing slowed as they rested, then she moved away to lie beside him in his tender embrace. “I love you, Caradoc,” she whispered.

Caradoc sighed as joy washed over him and through him, and made him feel truly whole for the first time in his life. He was at peace at last, blissfully content, and finally free. “And I love you, Fiona the Fair.”
