As the shadows lengthened around him, Vaun spotted a gentle rise with a single tree at the top. Perfect spot for a camp. Thanking the Great God for His beneficence, as well as for the simple gift of life, the Swordsman hefted his traveling sack and turned his steps toward the oak tree and his eyes back to his chosen path.

Plunge into the world
of Lucifer, The Fair, Golden One…
It is the time just after the creation of the angels and before the fashioning of the world. Lucifer, leader of the Children of the Father, is called upon to carry the Father’s Light of Creation across Eternity. It is a great honor, but it also comes with great cost.
Seduced by unknown curiosities he witnessed during Creation, Lucifer is plagued by unanswered questions. He craves knowledge—even of the things that only the Father should know. And he won’t stop until his questions are answered….
A stunning tale of curiosity and seduction

ager,
also the author of the fantasy-historical
The Light-Bearer,
has a BA in English from the University of Alabama. “I’ve been a serious writer since high school—ever since one of my English teachers told me I have a talent to write and insisted I write a story for her,” Brian says. Since then he enjoys writing, reading, serving his church, and training in various styles of martial arts (which came in handy for the fighting scenes in
The Bonding,
the first book in his
The Song and the Rhythm
series).
“The inspiration for
The Light-Bearer
came from a wonderful retreat a few years ago,” Brian adds. “My hope is that readers will see themselves in some of Lucifer’s actions; that they will see how we
all
rebel against our Heavenly Father in small and big ways. But it is only as we accept God’s sovereignty and guidance that we can remain forever embraced by His Light.
“The Song and the Rhythm series was born out of my love of fantasy stories. It began as an ordinary fantasy, with no Christian leaning. Once I felt a call to write with God in mind, however, I converted it (no pun intended) to a fantasy with a little bit of God thrown in. I have always loved stories of highly talented people, particularly sword fighters. I wanted to do something different to give a sword fighter exceptional ability, and that is how the Song of Battle and the Rhythm of Battle were created.”
