Sergei couldn’t believe that Ana had been alive all this time. Finding Ana had been everything and more for Lana. Sergei couldn’t be happier for his wife. All the time and pain had been forgotten the moment they hugged. They were just thrilled to have each other back. They spent the next two weeks bonding. It was perfect, but Sergei had to go back to work. Sergei and Lana said their goodbyes to her sister and her new family before heading back to Texas. It was a tearful event that Sergei didn’t know how to make better. He wanted to let her stay, but how was he supposed to be without his wife. Especially since she was pregnant. When Ana suggested that Lana could stay without him, he tried not to lose his shit.
“Ana, my sweet. I don’t think that’s a good idea. From what I saw these past two weeks, Sergei is just as nuts about Lana as I’m with you. I’d never let you go anywhere far enough where we couldn’t see each other for more than a few hours.” Sergei wanted to hug him. The time here had been a fun time for the two men. They both eyed each other the first few days. They were married to twins and both wondered if the other was interested in his own wife. After a while they realized that they loved their individual woman and there was no threat. “Baby, why don’t we go down there in a couple of months? Will that work for you?”
“I’d like that,” Lana said aloud eagerly. Thank God, Sergei thought to himself. He wasn’t looking forward to upsetting Lana. He needed her love. She gave him a life he’d always hoped for, even though it started in the most unconventional way.
“We’ve really got to go, Lana.” Sergei turned to his new family and said, “It’s been wonderful to meet you both.” He clutched her hand and pulled his wife into their rental car.
The entire car ride Lana had been quiet. “Lana, we’ll see her soon. I promise.”
“Okay,” she said, tucking her head into the headrest. Sergei hated seeing her so sad. He wondered if she was having second thoughts about their life, which kept her away from Ana. Needing to drive safely through the cold snowy roads, Sergei let the fear of her wanting out slip from his mind so they didn’t crash. Their flight had been delayed just as they were about to take off.
“I’m sorry Mr. Antonov, but the conditions worsened. It’s supposed to clear up in about an hour,” the pilot apologized.
Lana huffed making both men look at her, Sergei with embarrassment and the pilot apologetically. The pilot stepped back into the cockpit, leaving the couple alone.
“I can’t change the weather, Lana.”
“Did I ask you to?” she hissed. “We rushed only to be in captivity.”
“Captivity, it’s not that serious. I get that you’d rather spend time with your sister than sit here and wait, but it’s the way it is.”
She excused herself and went into the private bathroom. Sergei didn’t like her attitude. She acted like she didn’t want anything to do with him. He wasn’t nowhere near as important as her sister.
When she came back, and sat down, Lana stared out the window looking miserable and completely refusing to look at him. “Are you regretting marrying me?” Sergei blurted out. He hadn’t meant to ask that, but now that it was out there he hoped her answer was a quick ‘No’.
She paused longer than he liked. It hurt, so he pretended to focus on his work.
“I don’t regret marrying you,” she whispered. Sergei heard her response, but something about it didn’t seem true. He wasn’t going to let her out of the marriage, especially now that she was pregnant.
“Good.” That was his only response because he didn’t want to admit that he’d been hurt by her bland response. Ignoring her the rest of the short flight by working on the memos Niko asked for was the best thing for him, but it wasn’t for her.
~~~~~
Lana hadn’t been feeling well. It was partly because of saying goodbye to her sister, but also because there was a little baby growing in her. The entire drive her nerves were on edge. The ice and snow were coming down, and it made her worried that they would crash. She tried to close her eyes and just pretend that the weather was fine. Sergei would never put her in danger so she knew that she’d be safe, but it was still on her brain.
When they got onto the plane only to learn it was delayed, it ticked her off. They could have waited for the storm to die down before they left. It was a stupid move on their part. It was a private jet anyway, there was no reason for them to worry about it leaving without them. She knew Sergei had to go back to work, but the weather wasn’t cooperating. It made her really edgy. Lana didn’t mean to get pissy with him, but she wasn’t feeling good.
She was trying not to throw up when he asked her that important question she would have normally answered rapidly. Her love for Sergei was all consuming for her. She loved everything about him, including the bad. He had captured her both physically and mentally and there was no way out of it. Not that she wanted to be. Her love for him came naturally to her. When she looked at his gruff face, she wanted to cross the table that sat between them and run her hands along his beard. She could tell that he was mad, but she didn’t know how to make it better. As much as she wanted to climb into his lap, she was trying to hold down her food.
There was no way she was traveling again. She couldn’t. Planes and morning sickness didn’t sit well with her. Lana didn’t want him to see her sick. She managed to hide it most of the times, but throwing up made her feel ugly and gross. Having Sergei turn her away because she was gross would upset her. He hadn’t had sex with her on the days he caught her throwing up.
She needed his love more than he understood. Calling the flight attendant, she asked for a glass of water and some pretzels.
“You’re hungry?” he asked grumpily, or at least it seemed that way to her.
“I just want a snack, Sergei. Is that so terrible?” she bit out angrily. She didn’t mean to be so defensive, but he sounded arrogant.
“It’s not,” he hissed back.
Her hormones were going insane. She didn’t know how to handle her emotions. She feared his rejection so much she pushed him away. When they landed, the tension was still high, and after they got home they didn’t even go to bed together that night. They were supposed to have dinner at Nikolai’s the next night, but she wasn’t sure if he’d want her to go.
~~~~~~
Sleeping in his office wasn’t the most comfortable place to sleep. He wanted to be hugging all up on Lana like they did before they started fighting. He wasn’t sure what happened for her to go from claiming her love for him to regretting their marriage. Sergei started to feel maybe he was making something out of nothing, he’d talked to her before he left. He stepped into the bedroom to get ready for work, but Lana was sleeping or pretending to be sleeping. Either way, he didn’t have it in him to ask her why she seemed to hate their life together. If it all had to do with her sister, he would be tempted to move to Colorado for her.
He got dressed as quietly as possible. As upset as he was at their fight, he didn’t like the idea of waking her up. She was carrying their baby and needed as much rest as possible. Sergei turned around to take one last look of his sleeping beauty and left to the office.
~~~~~~
“You look beautiful tonight, Lana,” Sergei said. She knew that he was being sincere, but if he had known that she’d spent the last hour before he got home throwing up, would he still say that?
“Thank you, Sergei.” She grabbed hold of the arm he held out, and the moment the cool night air hit her she was ready to go back in and curl under the covers. She wasn’t feeling well at all. The night was going to be a long one. She had to go see the doctor in the morning. This had to be more than just the morning sickness. Lana couldn’t keep anything down. It was probably a flu or stomach bug of some sort. Dinner was going to be hard to get through. They weren’t quite on good terms yet, and she wasn’t feeling in the mood for conversation.
Dinner had gone over as smoothly as possible. Lana wasn’t the usual affable self. She didn’t talk unless it was about her sister. Not once did she want to talk about the baby. It bothered Sergei because Bianca was pregnant, too, and kept bringing up the subject. After a while, the conversation died down to silence and that was when Niko asked to see him in his office.
“What’s going on with you two?” Niko asked, pouring them a glass of vodka. He perched himself on the edge of the desk after handing the drink to Sergei.
“What do you mean?” Sergei asked after he downed the vodka in one gulp.
“You two are newly married and you both look like the passion and thrill has come and gone. You drank that glass like something’s wrong.”
“She regrets marrying me,” he admitted painfully. Throughout dinner he felt that she wasn’t happy about being pregnant one bit.
“Did she say that?” Niko wore a look of disbelief.
“No, but I asked her and she took a long time to say anything. When she finally responded it was almost as though she was just saying it so I would just drop the subject.”
“I don’t know what made you ask such a question, but you must have had a reason.”
“She didn’t want to leave her sister’s house, and when we got on the plane she looked so miserable. She got really crabby and it fell out of my mouth.” Sergei collapsed in his chair while he thought about how his love was all consuming for Lana.
“It’ll get better. Maybe she was upset and didn’t mean to be so blah about your relationship.”
“We’ll see.” Sergei didn’t have the hope in his heart. He missed her like crazy, but she’d been very evasive.
There was a knock on the door. “Niko, Sergei, I don’t want to bother you too, but Lana’s ready to go home.”
Niko looked at Sergei with a concern for his best friend. Sergei knew he had to go home and deal with his wife. “I’m coming right now.”
They left for the night in silence. He wondered if she didn’t like Bianca. That wasn’t possible. Bianca was a completely awesome person. Asking her what was wrong was out of the question, and just like last night, he decided to sleep in his office. Tomorrow he had to go back to work and maybe she’d miss him enough to want him again.
~~~~~
The following day Lana was at the doctor’s office. Bianca and Amber decided to go with her to the doctors.
“Why don’t you tell him that you’ve been sick?”
“Because every time I’ve been sick he’s attentive, but he won’t touch me. It’s like I’m contagious. It’s hard to deal with. I love him, but we never have sex on days when I’m sick.”
“Well, with all this distance, are you really getting any anyway?”
“No.”
“Well then. He needs to know the truth,” Amber added.
“Niko told me that Sergei thinks you want out of the marriage. I wasn’t supposed to say anything, but I know it’s not true,” Bianca admitted.
“I’m afraid he won’t touch me until way after the baby’s born. Then, if I get pregnant again, he’ll do the same thing,” she whined.
“Lana, the doctor will see you now,” the receptionist said.
Lana stood up, her figure barely starting to show a tiny bump. “Girls, just wait here for me.”
“Okay,” they chimed together.
It took Lana half an hour to discover that she’d been dealing with severe morning sickness. The doctor gave her some tips to ease the nausea, but he didn’t think she should be prescribed any medicine unless she lost more weight. She left with the girls, and they had a light lunch and did some shopping. Of course there were guards galore around the three women.
“Well ladies, I hate to cut our day short, but I have to get back to the house. Little Luciano is probably wondering where I’ve gone. I usually don’t leave him for this long.” They all hugged and Amber’s security took her home while Bianca and Lana talked for another hour before parting. Lana loved hanging out with the girls. It was tight-knit little group. But, what she really wanted to do is have Sergei make love to her. When she got home, he was still at work. The doctor told her stress could make it worse, so she needed to settle things with Sergei. She didn’t know if she was the stubborn one or he was, but she didn’t care anymore. Feeling hungry again for a snack, she opened the fridge and got a whiff of onions. Before she could cover her nose or close the fridge, she was off running.
~~~~~~
The day had been long and busy, but he couldn’t stop thinking about Lana. Everything reminded him of her. He’d had enough. When he got home he was going to deal with her. She didn’t want the marriage, but she was stuck. He’d have to learn how to make and keep her happy. Once he walked into the house, he hunted her down. He stepped in the kitchen to see the fridge wide open. Panic set in, Lana wasn’t absentminded, she wouldn’t have left it open. He ran up the stairs hoping he was wrong. He reached the top of the stairs when he heard her in the bathroom, retching her brains out. He went to her immediately, wanting to take care of his wife. She may not want him in her life, but he loved her. Whether she knew it or not, she needed his help. Hurrying into the bathroom, he went to her side.
“Damn, Lana,” he growled, holding her hair back as she leaned over the toilet.
She slapped his hand away. “I’m fine.”
It stung—emotionally. “Whatever, I’ll wait out here for you.”
“You don’t have to,” she replied.
He tried to not get pissed, but her rejection hit him hard. He said sternly, “Yes, I do because we need to talk. So once you’re done, come back to our bedroom.”
“Ours? It’s been mine for the past few days.” She stood up and closed the door before cleaning herself up. Sergei could hear the shower running and knew she was stalling. His phone rang at the same time. It was Ana.
He didn’t feel like talking to Ana right now. Part of him felt like it was her fault that his wife was pushing him away. “What’s up? Your sister’s in the shower,” he answered like an asshole.
“Did you two make up yet? Or are you still a bonehead?” Ana asked.
“A bonehead? What are you, a twelve-year-old?” he mocked.
“What do you want me to call you? A fucking cum-guzzling asshole?” Ana wasn’t as sweet as she seemed. Sergei knew that, but he didn’t care. Will was the one that had to deal with her crazy ass.
“Why? What did I do in the first place?”
“One, you got mad at her on the plane. Then instead of making it better, you made it worse.”
“She’s the one biting my head off at every turn.”
“Well, if you didn’t treat her pregnancy like a disease then she wouldn’t be pushing you away. You make her feel gross and ugly.”
“What? I would never do that. I love her, everything about her stubborn ass. I’ve never once insulted her. All I do is try to make her happy.”
“Really? Because she says you won’t have sex with her on days when you see her throw up. She’s been hiding her morning sickness from you as often as possible.” Sergei couldn’t believe what he was hearing. His wife was feeling neglected and thinking he was disgusted with her. It was the furthest thing from the truth. He wanted her so much. If he could hold her and fuck her all day and night, he would. Everything she did turned him on. Granted puking wasn’t a turn on, but a minute after she was done, she looked just as beautiful as she did before she started vomiting.
Taking a breath, he explained his logic to Ana. “I don’t do it because I think she’s gross. I don’t want to make it worse. When she’s feeling sick, I don’t want to fuck her into vomiting again. She’s the love of my life. I don’t want to make her throw up. Lana’s carrying my baby, she needs all the rest and ease she can get.”
“Well, she thinks you don’t want her. Then your bitch ass sleeps in your office. You need to fix it before I send my husband to deal with you and bring my sister over here where there’s plenty of guys that would love to care for her,” she threatened, which made him snarl.
“The fuck if I let that shit happen, your husband may be taller, but I’ll do anything and everything to keep Lana.”
“Then make it right,” she reminded him.
“Ana, I’ve got to go. I have a wife to show how much I love her.” He hung up on his sister-in-law. He didn’t care if she got mad at him.
Forgetting about Ana and her attitude, he went to go fix things with his woman. Sergei stripped on his way to the bathroom, slamming the door open, nearly ripping it from the hinges. Lana jumped and squealed. The sound scared her, but her eyes changed when he opened the shower stall door and climbed in. He was completely naked with a stiff cock pointing directly at her.
“You thought I didn’t want you. I’ve got a lot to make up for.” He clutched her waist and pulled her close, crushing her mouth with his, leaving her no opportunity to respond. Their wet bodies were suctioned to each other, pressed with droplets of water trapped between them. “I love you, Lana,” he growled, pulling his lips away to lift her up and against the shower wall. In a quick thrust, Sergei was seated completely in her.
“Ah, I love you, Sergei,” she said with her heart in her eyes.
“That’s what I want to hear,” he growled, snatching her lips again, his cock impaling her with every stroke into her pussy. The rhythmic pumping could be heard as their wet flesh smacked against each other.
“Ah, Sergei,” she moaned. Her hands moved into his hair tugging so she could reach his lips. Shaking, her mouth hit every inch of his face, causing him to growl and thrust deeper. They both exploded into a mind blowing, overdue orgasm, but that won’t be enough for Sergei. And he was going to make sure it wasn’t enough for her.
Soaking wet, he dropped them down to the marble floors in the bathroom, the cold tile chilling her heated flesh. His lips made quick work of her skin, placing tender kisses on her. Wanting her panting with excitement, Sergei ran his hand down her side, skimming her breast. The light touch sent chills down her body and hit her dead center. Gripping her thigh, he tugged and began to grind his cock against her mound, teasing the outside of her pussy. Wrapping her leg around her waist, he pushed back into her soaking wet core, claiming her again in a matter of minutes.
Her hips lifted off the tile and demanded pleasure. His head came down and sucked on the newly sensitive nipple. She cried out, her pussy clasping onto his cock. Both of them were at their peaks, like they hadn’t just came hard. Sergei felt his cum ready to splash her walls, he wanted to bring her with him. With a biting mark to her breast, her pussy convulsed into another hard release. He smiled down at his dick beaten woman, loving the flushed and well fucked beauty. He knew the floor was cold, but she didn’t seem to mind, so they just laid there until they regained their strength. He took her to bed. Kissing her goodnight, he fell asleep knowing everything was right in the world.
~~~~~
Sergei woke up the next morning hating that he was going to have to leave her after making up. Lana was laying on her back, completely naked with her legs sprawled open. A sheet was the only thing separating her naked body from his eyes, although the covers did little to hide the color of her nipples that pressed against the material. Sergei ached to bend down and take her nipples into his mouth. Instead, he pulled her into his arms, kissing her softly. She opened her eyes slowly, snuggling deeper into his hold. "I've got to go to work, but I love you, my sweet," he whispered after kissing her again.
"I love you, too, Sergei," she murmured in her sleepy voice. Even her half-awake voice had him hard. She had no idea what she truly did to him. Morning breath, crusty eyes did nothing to sway how perfect he found her.
"Are you going to be okay without me?" he asked. She finally confessed how sick she’d been. It crushed him to know that he essentially forced her to keep her episodes a secret so she wouldn’t lose his affection. He could kick himself for it.
"I'll be fine,” she replied. Now that he knew about her hiding her illness, he was skeptical about her claiming she was fine, but she did promise never to keep things like that from him again.
He got up from the bed, looking at her one more time before starting to getting ready for work. Slipping on his dress pants, he stepped into the bathroom to groom his facial hair. He knew that she loved his facial hair. Once he came back into the bedroom from trimming his beard, he saw her sitting up staring at him. He thought about her regret. He wondered if she was on the fence about it. Did the fact that she didn’t have to hide her morning sickness mean that the regret was gone?
"Sergei, I don't regret marrying you one bit. I was nauseous on the plane, but I didn’t want you to know, so I didn't say anything until I could get it out without vomiting on the spot. I'm sorry you thought I didn't want to be in this. I'm happy to be all in,” she admitted with a smile. He wondered if he had said it out loud.
He pulled his cell off the dresser and started dialing, never taking his eyes away from Lana. “Niko, I’m going to be late this morning.”
“Everything better?” Niko said hopefully.
“Yes, it’s perfect,” Sergei said, keeping his eyes trained to his wife.
“Then take the day. Celebrate. I’ll send you an email so you can work on stuff this evening. Okay?”
“Thanks, Niko.” He happily accepted the day off. His wife needed to be satisfied all day in his opinion. She was his treasure.
