She clapped as Mitch took the stage, shirtless with painted-on black jeans, hinting at his excellent male physique and conditioning, a body she now knew as well as her own. He spun around, giving the audience a good look at his assets before facing front once more. Cheers erupted from the female dominated crowd.

As she watched, Mitch leaned in, whispering to the MC. The woman grinned widely. "Ladies and gentlemen. Mitch wanted a moment to address the group." With that said, she handed over the microphone.

"Pardon me for the quick interruption. This will only take a minute." His eyes locked with Fancy's as the corners of his mouth curled upward. "This year has been the best of my life. And the happiest. All because of one woman that I met at least year's convention. She makes me smile, laugh, and want to be a better person, to elevate to a higher level. She's beautiful, smart, brave, and humorous." Sucking in a breath, he continued. "I can't imagine my life without her." Opening his free hand, he held out a small black velvet box. Flipping the lid, he held the ring out for inspection. "Fancy? Will you marry me?"

Her mouth fell open as she blinked up at him. Without taking a moment to consider, she leapt from her chair, racing to the stage, tears already filling her eyes. "Yes. Yes!"

Mitch jumped down, setting the mic on the stage floor before wrapping her tightly in his embrace. A chorus of applause sounded throughout the room.

The hostess picked up the microphone. "Well, ladies. I'm sorry. It looks like Mitch is off the market." The whole room harmonized in "Awwww".

"I can't believe you. I didn't have a clue," Fancy muttered against his mouth in between kisses.

"What better place to propose than the place where we met?" His dark blue eyes twinkled with happiness. Taking the ring in hand, he slipped it over her finger. "I never want to attend another romance novel conference without you by my side as my wife."

"I love you." She wiped a stray tear from her face, hugged him tight, and meshed her lips over his for another kiss. "Good thing you're a noisy lover. Otherwise, I might have never met you."

He chuckled. "I might not be here today if you didn't rescue me from the obsessed, crazy woman embezzler with terrorist ties."

Fancy rolled her eyes. "Who you were silly enough to let tie you up."

Mitch nuzzled her temple. "I'll let you tie me up anytime you want."

She arched an eyebrow. "Hmmm. Kinky."

"That's me, baby. Kinky and horny."

"Don't forget insatiable nudist with an ego complex."

He threw his head back and laughed. "Yet you love me anyway."

Sometimes fairy tales did come true after all. "Oh, I definitely do. Forever and then some."

About the Author

Growing up in the Midwest, I began reading romance novels in high school, immediately falling in love with the genre, to the point where I decided to write professionally for a career. However, that dream splattered against a brick wall, resulting in a quick death in my first writing class in college when my professor told me bluntly that I wasn't any good at it. I shifted gears quickly, and left my writing dreams behind, eventually settling on becoming a nurse.

A few years back, I stumbled across a fan-fiction writing site on a favorite author's webpage. I began to read stories others wrote, not only making some wonderful close friends from the experience, but also, really learning to write for the very first time. Here I was able to share short stories, practice my writing skills, and truly develop into a writer. More than that, the experience allowed me to revitalize my dream, as I rediscovered joy in writing.

Now, I spend my days off with my alpha male characters, quick witted heroines, and see how much trouble everyone can get into. When I'm not working or writing, I enjoy working in the garden, canning, and seeing my backyard as a living canvas for my whimsical landscaping, and, of course, reading romance novels.

5 Stars for
Ghost's Treasure

Who wouldn't love a book with mercenaries and hot as hell Navy Seals… I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it's got mystery, intrigue and sweet and sexy parts. I loved Ghost, he's a hero in my book I wanted to make him smile too. I felt for him and wanted him to have a HEA. Josie I loved how they kept referring her to a Jack Russell with all her energy, I also loved how she can show up the guys at the shooting range (you go girl). Great story. It was hard to put down once I started reading it. I thought the author captured the characters feelings perfectly and her ability to hook the reader. If you want a mystery with some romance added in I would definitely recommend.

Happy Dance!!! Shyanne and Meat are back again! I was so excited to get my hand on this book! I love Shyanne, her train of thoughts amuse me to no end—and remind me of my own completely random thoughts. Since Meat & Shy left things badly in book 2, I was looking forward to their reconciliation.

So did this book deliver? YES!!!! Random non sequiturs in Shy's mind? Check. Cannibal? Check. Monks who may or may not pull busses out of their *ahem* male parts? Check. The Abominable Snowman? Che…wait, er what? Yep, this book had everything it needed to be a classic Shy story.

I won't reveal anything, but Shy and Meat have things to work on before finding their HEA, and you'll be rooting the entire book for a reconciliation. Sadly, much less stripper dancing in this book. Oh well. Regardless, if you love Shy and her oddball friends, you have to check out this book. Right now. Go ahead, order it…I'll wait.

Definitely another winner, and I can't wait to read more by this author!

Triad

This is the first book that I have read by Cheyenne Meadows and I can tell you right now it will not be the last. Yowsa! Talk about hotter than a firecracker! I really really LOVED this book. It is not often that I find a book that captures my attention as much as this one did, but I simply could not put it down until I had read the very last page. It has everything you could ever want in an m/m romance, suspense, scorching hot sex, love, romance, a murder mystery, and really awful bad guys. I just cannot say enough good things about this story, I ADORED it! If you never pick up another book this month, make sure you pick up
Triad

Warning: you must read the first book in this series, or you will be lost. This book is not a stand alone. That being said, I read the first book (which was great) and came back and finished this one.

I loved this book. You will not be able to resist Shy's character. That girl has no filter—and she lets it all out! She kinda reminds me of Betsy Taylor (Mary Janice Davidson) meets Stephanie Plum (Janet Evanovich). She also seems to be a close personal friend of Mr. Murphy and his laws. Be ready to laugh out loud at the "good parts" of this book—and in complement, drool over hot characters and the yummy sex scenes—which are not overly explicit.

"Meat," the liger stripper PI alpha boyfriend is too much—hot, hot, hot. Of course, the only way to actually know in this world whether they are true mates is if Shy becomes pregnant. Due to the fact that her period is mentioned twice, makes me thing that we're in for a "surprise" in the future.

Five stars?!? You might be thinking… Cara hardly ever gives five stars. Well, it felt totally warranted in this case—are there issues? Yep. However, the rest of the story was so fascinating and funny; I didn't get hung up on things. I enjoyed this book for what it was, a funny sexy read.

So, here's the deal with this book: it is part of an ongoing series. Overall, there are no resolutions in this book, though lots of questions are raised: the perfect bridge for the book three! The characters are fleshed out, mysteries are spoken off, relationships are tested, and crimes committed. Don't let that deter you in any way, shape, or form. I actually got mad when I finished the book, going, "Wait, wait, wait! The End? No way! What the…? When does the next book come out?!!? How could Meadows do this to us!?!? Will Cannibal actually eat Shy's toes?" Please, please, please pick up this book—I promise you won't be disappointed, and I need more people chanting with me "MORE MEAT!"

5 Kisses
for
Broken Bridges

This was an explosive story. Not only the hot sex but the men, struggling to find each other amid the madness of deaths around them. They weren't good together except in the sack. Dax, the wolf, is overprotective with a pack mentality while Adin, the bear, is a loner who doesn't like to be dominated anywhere else but in bed. I liked both men. Knowing they couldn't help their masculine saber rattling, I found they were in fact so much alike that it explained why things didn't work out between them. Naturally, it's only a matter of time before Adin ends up in the killer's crosshairs.

The murder mystery is a compelling one. Ms. Meadows seems to have a firm grasp of police procedures and forensic science, and these things made the story realistic. I admit I wasn't a hundred percent sold on the killer's motives but it was in intriguing plotline, and I would have wished for some sort of emotional closure for the culprit in the end. Maybe that was just the good in me talking. Still, the plot moves swiftly, and there's a balanced mix of investigation, dialogue, action, and sex.

The writing is solid and convincing with its fast pace and expertise of chemistry, and I found this world of shifters blending unseen into the modern society quite compelling. I wonder if there will be more stories like this. I sure hope so. Recommended.

Blue Blood's Trifecta

I haven't read any of the other Wind Warrior books before this. My enjoyment of this title made me go look for the backlist to this story line. The setting of the series with the secret government agency, freelance mercenaries, assassins, drug cartels, and the FBI involvement had a very action movie quality that I loved. Tempest was a surprisingly strong female character and still be able to stay sweet. The first kiss between Rogue and Ryan was freaking H.O.T. One of the best kiss scenes I've read in a long time. Ryan's discovery of his attraction for Rogue does shake the man up and he avoids Rogue. Unfortunately, his struggle with his identity and how he deals with this new side of himself takes place off page. But I was happy that Ryan didn't jump into sex with both feet so the love scenes between the two men are tame.
