“Thank you, for not letting me drown,” she said stuttering

Jake kissed her hand softly.  “Anytime,” he said.

“Hard to believe our families use to be friends all those years ago,” he said softly.

Jake petted her hear head as she told him about her rehab and recovery. She started to cry as she told him how horrible she could be and the things she had done to others in the past.

Cinnamon cried in his arms until she fell asleep.  Jake stayed with her all day and Cinnamon started to believe his words that they could figure it out together.

“Hey,” he said with a loud bark.

“You were going to go riding without me,” she said upset.

“No no, Sugar is coming over to watch the munchkin,” he said.

She ran up the stairs ahead of them.
