This meal plan was created to give you the opportunity to try out some of our recipes, but we want you to enjoy the flexibility and freedom of choosing other meals or smoothies or snacks from the plan in order to find your own favorites. The main point is to learn to plan ahead for lifetime success.

Although we have included a full meal plan for all seven days, we understand that you may have a cheat meal each week. Some of you may love Sunday brunch, others may look forward to their Saturday night “date night” and wish to have freedom there. We generally reserve our splurges for social activities, knowing there are bound to be one or two each week, and stick to healthy, nutritious, sound whole food meals in between. Listen to your body, recognize the impact of your lifestyle on your choices, and tweak the plan to work for you.

TAILOR THESE PRINCIPLES TO YOUR LIFESTYLE

We have covered a lot of different topics in this chapter, including how and why you should increase your enzymes, how to supplement your diet, what the differences are among sugar options, and why it’s so important to find an exercise program that you can stick with. We’ve even given you a full week’s worth of recipes to show you how easy it is to integrate this new way of eating into your life.

All of this new information may seem a little overwhelming, but the main questions for you to consider are these: What can you commit to every day? What healthy habits can you add in each week?

The key to your long-term success lies in making small changes that you feel most comfortable with and that best fit into your life. You may opt to eat more salads, choose organic whenever possible, stay away from processed foods on a daily basis—all of these are great starting points. Celebrate your successes and brush off the slipups. Remember that what you do the majority of the time has the most impact on your results. At times when you seek greater and more noticeable results, you now know how to intensify your game. The main message we want to communicate to you in regard to tailoring the program to your life is to choose your priorities. You can’t do everything all of the time. Create a list of the things you can commit to, and then prioritize your list in order to keep your reset going.

Our priority list looks like this:

• Drink lots of filtered water every day

• Buy 100 percent organic for at-home meals

• Start each morning with a juice or smoothie

• Take probiotics

• Prepare dinner at home at least three days per week

• Exercise at least four days per week

During times when you need to clean up your diet, make sure you schedule all of your diet priorities onto your calendar so that they happen. Other times, schedule as much as you can. Celebrate with a mental pat on the back when you accomplish everything that is scheduled. Commit to getting over it quickly when you don’t get to everything on your list. Focus on moving forward in the right direction rather than harping on the past.

Before we close this chapter, let’s take a moment to reflect on all you have accomplished. You’ve cleaned out the toxins, flooded your body with nutrients, learned how to exercise and eat right, and you have delicious, nutritious, inexpensive recipes you can use over and over again. You’ve probably lost a few pounds, and have seen noticeable changes in your skin and appearance. You’re armed with a newly reset attitude, energy level, and metabolism. Your body craves healthy nutritious food, your digestive system works much more efficiently, and you are radiant!

Although you’re prepared to make the best decisions in the future, there’ll be those times when you gain a few pounds, or get off track, or just find yourself in a rut. Pineapple and Coconut Milk Hydrating Facial

4 slices fresh pineapple

2 tablespoons coconut milk

Combine the pineapple and coconut milk in a food processor and puree until smooth. Spread the paste uniformly over your face and leave on for 10 minutes. Remove with a damp cloth.

Greek Yogurt and Lemon Facial Skin Tightener

This gently exfoliating treatment gives you lifted and firm-looking skin instantly. Lemons slough away dead skin and Greek yogurt’s antibacterial properties prevent skin breakouts. Lactic acid in the yogurt shrinks pores, leaving you with more youthful-looking skin. This skin tightener can be done two or three times a week or whenever your skin needs a lift.

2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon honey

In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, and honey and stir until smooth. Apply to your cleansed face and neck. Allow it to dry for 20 to 30 minutes. Leave it on until you feel the skin tighten or up to 1 hour. When ready, rinse with tepid water followed by a cold rinse.

Pulp and Honey Skin Brightener

After making any juice with carrots, beets, or sweet potato in it, use the leftover pulp as the base for an antioxidant-rich mask. This will give you an immediately refreshed and glowing look. Honey helps hold moisture in the skin. It has astringent properties to draw out impurities that would normally stay clogged and cause blemishes. This mask is non-drying and your face should feel nice and smooth afterward. Orange- and red-pigmented produce have natural antiseptic properties with skin-brightening effects.

½ cup carrot pulp (or other red- or orange-pigmented pulp, such as sweet potato and beet)

1 tablespoon raw honey

In a small bowl, combine the carrot pulp and honey until a paste forms. Apply to your clean skin. Allow it to stay on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Pat dry.

Yogurt Base Skin Lightener

This mask will quickly become your new secret weapon for dealing with freckles, sunspots, or overall discoloration. Turmeric is fantastic for evening out skin discolorations. Lemons slough away dead skin.
