Kill them,” Adrian replied.

What if they can wake up during the day, even if it’s for a split second? I don’t think we should take the chance on going it alone. There’s strength in numbers,” Daniel pointed out.

That’s a good point, so no separate cars. Okay, when we call our leaders, let them work it out. We’ll stick to our riginal plan and check out the hotels and motels … together,” Ignacio said.

I wish I had a helmet. Next time I’ll bring one when I ride with you,” Adrian told Ignacio, who tossed up his middle finger.

The three men laughed and began calling their leaders.

Marcus ran his powerful, masculine hands through his lover’s black shiny mane intertwining his fingers around the silky locks as his lover’s head bobbed furiously over his groin. His lover’s lips sealed tightly against his shaft, giving him the ultimate pleasure. The Master vampire moaned loudly as his orgasm rushed to the surface, shooting forth. His fingers locked tightly, gripping hair, pressing his lover’s head against his groin as he thrust repeatedly until he had nothing more to give. His lover looked up, adoring eyes gave him the smile his mouth was unable to.

Marcus looked down, grinning wolfishly. “Swallow.”

Kiren did as he was told. “Did you like that?” he asked after the deed was done. His light brown, almond-shaped eyes peered closely at his lover, waiting for his response.

What do you think?” Marcus asked, running fingers along the strong jaw line of Kiren’s face.

I think I enjoyed giving it more than you enjoyed getting it.” Kiren smiled as he climbed onto Marcus’ lap. “I love having you in my mouth.”

Marcus chuckled deeply. “I love having me in your mouth, as well.”

Fuck me,” Kiren panted lustfully, reaching between them taking hold of Marcus’ penis.

You know what to do,” Marcus implied. He adjusted himself enough for his shape-shifter lover to slide him inside. A low moan escaped his lips as he began to work his hips in a thrusting motion, sending his lover into a ecstatic frenzy.

An hour later, the two men were breathless, panting as their sweat slicked bodies remained plastered together on the floor. Marcus pulled away after several minutes, relishing the sensation of his body leaving his lover’s. The two lay side-by-side for a few minutes before they began to speak.

Are we going to kill any more today?” Kiren asked, his fingers swirling patterns in the thin layer of blond hair covering Marcus’ chest.

Of course we are. I have to admit, this little city is proving to own up to its reputation. I haven’t had this much fun in a while. It never sleeps and it thrives and throbs with energy, life, sex … reminds me of Los Angeles.”

Yeah, L.A. was a lot of fun. The S.U.I.T. there didn’t know what the fuck was going on. The best thing is watching them chase their tails,” Kiren laughed.

I agree, watching the humans’ little tin soldiers in such disarray is entertaining. But what I’m enjoying even more is watching the Master vampire scratch his head in bewilderment.”

You’ve seen him?” Kiren raise himself on one arm.

Yes … and what a vision. I can easily see why he was chosen, he’s magnificent.”

Describe him.”

Marcus chuckled and began describing Darian’s features. “ … But, I think the most stunning feature this vampire possesses are his hypnotic forest-green eyes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen eyes so vibrantly green before.”

Sounds like a real looker. I take it you’ve got plans for him?”

Marcus nodded. “I’m going to take my fill of his little territory and drain it dry.”

When can I have a little fun? I’ve had to watch you four feed greedily, when is it going to be my turn?” Kiren asked, feeling a bit left out of the festivities.

Marcus looked at him. “It’s good that you’ve asked. I want you to have your fun today. But be careful.”

Kiren smiled widely before climbing off the floor. “Thanks!” He jogged off toward his room. Two nights ago, when they had chased that Pride into the city, they had sensed the powerful aura of the supernaturals who inhabited the territory. At that point, Marcus wanted to settle down. After killing the owner of a three-bedroom townhouse in the suburbs, they set up their nest. There were five of them: four vampires and one shape-shifter. Three of the vampires shared one bedroom, Kiren had his own as did Marcus.

Kiren opened the window, allowing the afternoon sun to shine its bright light over his body and into the room. He stood there for a few minutes, soaking up the warmth before he went into the bathroom to shower and get dressed. The night before, they’d broken into a department store, stole a great amount of clothing and right before they left, Raven placed the skinless baby into the bassinet located in the display window. Imagining the horror-struck expressions of the humans walking past had filled her with devilish glee.

As it had been, she as right. The baby lay in the bassinet nearly two hours before anyone had even noticed what it was and called the police. Kiren and Marcus stayed up, switching TV channels looking for the breaking news report they were sure would be coming. Finally, around seven o’clock that morning, a news anchorwoman interrupted their cooking show to bring to light the “new disturbing developments in the grisly ‘Reign of Terror’”, as she called it, concerning the gruesome remains of an “innocent” baby in a department store display. Both he and Marcus laughed boisterously as the reporter recounted the witnesses’ statements as well as the police and S.U.I.T. reports. An hour later, there came the other report of the horrendous discovery of a mutilated six-year old boy. Again, authorities were ‘without suspects’, had ‘no leads’ and were ‘seeking any information’. They had recorded the news for Raven’s benefit, knowing she would want to see the aftermath of her mischievousness. They also knew that Alicia would want to know what the humans thought about her little addition to the corpses, or subtraction, to be more exact. She did keep the skin of all her victims, making trophies of them. Kiren wished he could be in the morgue when they discovered Mikhail’s
handiwork on the six-year old’s private area. Kiren didn’t think he laughed as hard at Mikhail’s antics before when he’d watched him violate the boy while the child screamed and cried.

He found what he wanted to wear, something bright. He pulled an orange t-shirt over his head and pulled on a pair of tan khakis. Leaving his bedroom, he walked up to Marcus, who was lounging lazily on the sofa, still naked.

I’m going out now, anything you want me to do in particular?” he asked, smiling.

Marcus nodded. “Wreak havoc and have fun doing so.”

That’s my kind of request.” Kiren turned and left, heading out to put his own signature on the city.

It didn’t take him long to find his victim. He chose an ice cream vender who was putting gasoline in his truck. He came up behind the man, covering his mouth with his hand, dragging him back into the truck and ordering the man to undress. Once the vender was naked, he ripped the man’s throat open with his clawed hand. Blood spurted over his own shirt and khakis as he knew it would which is why he ordered the man to undress first, leaving the uniform clean. He watched the blood splatter his chest as it ran down in a flood over the dead vendor’s torso. He wanted to feed so badly. The blood scent filled the truck with the most succulent aroma, but Kiren fought against it. He had no plans to feed his hunger with the man’s flesh. Cleaning the blood off his body, he dressed in the man’s clothes, making himself presentable. He was going to have to wait a while until the right time came before he could make his move.

Warren and Matthew waited in the “arrivals” area for the two California detectives to come through the terminal.

What good do you think these two will be able to do?” Warren asked.

Matthew shrugged. “Who knows what they might know. I just want all of this to be over with.”

They waited for several minutes, holding a sign with the two detectives last names on it before two men approached them. Immediately, Matthew and Warren noticed something familiar about one of the detectives, they wondered if his partner knew. Not sure if that was the case, they kept their mouths closed.

The taller of the two men greeted Warren and Matthew. “You must be Detectives Davis and Eric?”

The shorter man spoke, pointing to his partner, he said. “This is Detective Brian McNeary.”

The first man who greeted them nodded.

I’m Detective Colin O’Neal,” said the shorter detective, extending his hand toward Matthew and Warren.

The four officers shook each other’s hands.

Why don’t we gather your things and get the hell out of here,” Warren suggested.

That’s the plan,” Brian said.

Once they had their luggage, they climbed into Warren’s SUV.

Nice ride, barely street legal, though,” Colin commented, looking at the girth of Warren’s “little baby”.

I wouldn’t talk about the truck if I were you, he’s really sensitive,” Matthew joked, breaking the ice.

The four men chuckled.

Listen, the S.U.I.T. made arrangements for you prior to you guys coming here. You’ll be staying at the
Xavier
hotel while you’re in Chicago.”

Brian whistled. “Wow, the
Xavier
hotel. Not sparing any expenses I see.” He smiled. He had heard about the luxury of that hotel chain, but had never stayed in one.

The city and the S.U.I.T. likes to make an impression,” Matthew said.

They must think we’re supercops coughing up the dough for that kind of accommodation. Here I was expecting to sleep in one of the cells in the back of the precinct,” Brian joked.

Warren chuckled. So far, he was liking the two men. “The city has contracts with three of the top hotels that do business here. Whenever different officials, diplomats, etcetera, visit Chicago, they end up staying in the
Lendon, Esquire
or the
Xavier
hotels. The hotels get tax breaks and like Matt said, the city gets to make an impressive showing. The S.U.I.T. was lucky enough to establish a contract with this particular hotel.”

From what I’ve heard, a vampire owns it?” Colin questioned, somewhat disgusted.

Warren nodded. “Does that matter to you? If so, it’s not too late to prepare your two cots at the precinct.”

Naw, no complaints from me,” Brian said.

I guess we don’t have a choice. These fucking supernatural freaks got their claws in every damn thing,” Colin commented with a sneer.

Warren and Matthew tossed each other a quick glance. Their question was answered. If that was how he felt about supernaturals, then they were certain he didn’t know that his very own partner was one of the “freaks” he mentioned.

We’ll drop you off there so that you can get situated, then we’ll take you back to the precinct to get you caught up,” Matthew said.

Okay, that’s good, because I have to take a piss,” Brian informed.

Within an hour after arriving in the city, they were at the hotel, checked in and were in their room. Colin entered the bathroom when Brian came out.

I guess it would have been too much to ask for separate rooms, eh? I’ve got to room with that snoring S-O-B in there,” Brian joked, pointing toward the now closed bathroom door.

Warren chuckled. “As you know, the S.U.I.T. is generous, but not that generous. Mind if I speak with you in the hall?” he asked.

Brian nodded and followed Warren outside the room. Matthew stayed inside, monitoring Colin. In the hallway, Warren began talking.

I know what you are, you know what I am, I just want to get that out in the open.”

I caught your scent right away, you and your partner. How do you pass inspections?” Brian asked.
