‘Not some sort of musical farewell, is it?'
‘No! It's more a hello. A hello to our new life, whatever it might bring. To us, and Sam, and Ma, and my Melody Girls.'
‘Feel we should be drinking a toast. Got any champagne?' Rod held out his arms. ‘Only joking.'
‘As though we need champagne!' she murmured, going to him. As though they needed anything, was the thought in both their minds, except what they already had. Their music, their families, Sam, and each other.
No wonder the future could take care of itself.
