Epilogue

Kyson

I sat in the Latte Bean with Keaton, waiting for Meadow to finish her appointment.

“So, are you and Harlow seeing each other?” I questioned as she walked through the door and Keaton immediately sat up straighter.

“Wick, you know I don’t date. That shit is for penguins and dolphins.”

“What?” Keaton had the strangest way of explaining his answers.

Harlow finally noticed Keaton and strolled over. She was seriously the tallest woman I’d ever known. “Hello, boys.” She took the empty chair next to Keaton. “What bring you to this side of town?”

“I’m waiting on Meadow,” I quickly told her and she smiled.

“I’m really glad it worked out for you two.”

“Me too.” I grinned. This past week has been the happiest of my life. With Meadow back in my life, my game picked back up, and even my laughter was back.

“What about you?” Harlow asked Keaton.

“I’ve been waiting for you.” He winked, making Harlow roll her eyes.

“I don’t think you’re old enough to ride this ride,” she countered.

“It’s not my age, but the size of my—”

“Okay, I don’t want to hear this.” I cut him off and covered my ears.

“Are you two traumatizing my boyfriend?”

I looked up and the love of my life sat down next to me.

“Yes,” Keaton and Harlow answered at the same time.

“Please, protect me,” I jokingly begged and pulled her close to me. The sounds of her giggling made my heart beat faster.

“I’ve got ya.” Meadow smiled.

“Yuck,” Keaton scoffed.

“I’m with you,” Harlow spoke up. “Why don’t you two get a room?”

“Perfect idea.” I grabbed my girlfriend’s hand and practically ran with her to my truck in the parking garage.

Once we’re both inside, we began making out. Her lips brought me more comfort that I could ever image.

She was my world.

“I love you, Meadow.”

“I love you, Kyson.”
