Dana's kids started
ask
ing for ice cream popsicles so Kevin
and I went to the cooler to get them some. On the way there, I
realized I needed to pee. While Kevin grabbed the frozen treats, I
stepped inside the house to look for Celia’s downstairs bathroom. I
was making my way through a narrow hallway when all of a sudden a
strong, calloused hand gripped my elbow and flipped me around. Next
thing I know, I'm being pinned to a wall and a pair of piercing
baby blues are peering down at me. “Hello, Sidney," Cade breathed,
his lips dangerously close to mine. "How do you like the party so
far? Are you enjoying yourself?”

What the hell are you
doing
, Cade?" I whispered while my eyes,
wide as saucers, nervously scoured their surroundings looking for
witnesses. Thankfully there was no one around, but my heart was
still beating in my ears. "Have you lost your freaking
mind?”

Cade’s eyes briefly drifted
down to my cleavage. His lips twisted into a sinful sideways smirk
as he watched the swells of my breasts rise and fall with every
labored breath I took. He had that look on his face again, that
fire in his eyes that left me bre
athless
and reduced me to a puddle of goo. I could feel my self-control
slipping away, but I couldn’t let his alpha male aura impair my
judgment again. We were in a hallway at his mother’s house. Anyone
could walk in on us at any second and start spreading
rumors.

I need to get back to the
par
ty. Please let me go,” I said while my
gaze swept the length of the narrow hallway over and
over.

Relax, Sidney. I just
wanted to finish
the conversation we
started earlier,” Cade cooed, burying a hand in my hair, his parted
lips still taunting mine by inching closer and closer. I couldn’t
tear my eyes away from the most perfect set of lips I had ever seen
on a man. I didn't know how much I had missed feeling those lips on
me until they were hovering over mine and begging to be devoured. I
was about to surrender to his charm and kiss him when the sound of
footsteps approaching and muffled laughter snapped me out of my
daze. Cade and I both jerked our heads toward the noises that kept
getting louder and louder.

Someone’s
coming. I have to go,” I blurted, the panic
evident in my voice. My heart was in my throat. I tried pushing
Cade off me so I could leave, but the beautiful man-boy had other
plans. In one swift move, he snaked his arms around my waist,
dragged me away from the wall, and shoved me inside the nearest
room.

Oh my God!
You really are insane,” I squeaked inside the
tiny, cramped space that turned out to be the laundry room. After
shutting the door as gently as he could, Cade pressed his ear to
it. When I realized that the voices on the other side of the door
were those of Cade's mother and another woman, I let out a small
shriek and covered my mouth with both hands. With his index finger
pressed against his lips, Cade tiptoed away from the door and met
me in the middle of the room. We just stood there, staring at each
other in silence, while a conversation about home appliances took
place on the other side of the door. I thought I was having a heart
attack because I couldn't feel my heart beating inside my chest
anymore. I was convinced Celia was going to barge into that laundry
room at any second and find me there with her son.

"Everything'
s okay. Breathe," Cade
kept mouthing to get me to stay calm. With my hands still over my
mouth, I nodded and we waited. Two or three long, agonizing minutes
later, the two women moved away from the laundry room door. Once
the footsteps and the voices had completely faded away, Cade's face
broke into a wide, mischievous smile.

"How can you
be smiling about this? How is this funny?" I
snapped. Cade let out a hearty chuckle while mimicking my facial
expressions and hand gestures. It took every bit of my self-control
not to yell at him and smack him silly. “This is why I told you to
stay away from me, Cade. Your mother almost caught me here with
you. Can you image what would've happened if she had walked in on
us?”

Cade
hopped back to the door. After locking it from the inside, he
leaned against it with his arms crossed in front of him. “She
didn't come in and she's gone now. And so what if she had walked in
on us? We were not doing anything wrong. You need to learn to
relax, doll.”

I scoffed at him.
"
Oh my God! You don’t get it, do
you?"

His smile widened, proving that he, in fact,
did not.

What do you want, Cade?
Why are you stalking me?”

His eyes continued
to
ravish me from afar. “You look crazy
hot in that dress, Ms. MacDougal. Your boyfriend, Assface, is a
very lucky man.”

I narrowed my eyes at
him
. “His name's not Assface. His name’s
Kevin.”

Whatever,"
Cade shot back before slowly making his way back
to me. The predatory look in his eyes told me he was not there to
talk.

"I need to go. I
need
to get back to the party," I
stammered while retreating. But the room was so small, there was
nowhere for me to go. Soon I found myself trapped between the front
of the washing machine and his imposing body.

"What
are you doing with him, Sidney?” Cade asked, unable to tear
his eyes away from my lips. I could feel his erection slowly
building inside his shorts and pressing against my
stomach.

What do you mean?” I
managed to mumble
after gulping down a
breath. A cold sweat dribbled down my back.

Cade let out a sharp breath
while twirling a lock of my hair
around
his index finger. “Come on, Sidney. The guy has the personality of
a lamp post and you're clearly not attracted to him.”

I stared
up at Cade, shocked that he had picked up on the
fact that I felt no real romantic attraction toward Kevin. I had no
idea it was that obvious. But I was not going to give Cade the
satisfaction of hearing me admit that I was just using Kevin to get
over him. “You don’t know what you’re talking about,” I mumbled
while dropping my gaze.

Ca
de untangled his finger from my hair, curled it under my
chin, and titled my head up. “I don’t? So you’re happy with
him?”

I
just stared into his eyes without answering. Either I admit I
was unhappy in my new relationship or lie and say I wasn't. I was
not ready to do either.

Cade reduced his
voice to a whisper and began caressing the
outside of my forearm with the back of his other hand. “I’ve been
watching you all afternoon. You squirm every time he touches you. I
see how uncomfortable you get when he kisses you. How can you be
happy with him when you don’t even like him?”

The
smell of his sweat mixed with his aftershave and his overall
alpha maleness were making it hard for me to keep lying by
omission. "Why do you care if I'm happy or not anyways?" I snapped.
"I thought you hated me."

Cade's brow crinkled. "What? Hate you? I
don't hate you, doll. I could never hate you. I'm mad at you for
the way you ended things between us but I don't hate you. I care
deeply about you, Sidney MacDougal. That's why I want you to be
happy even if it is with someone else." He cradled the side of my
face and made me look him in the eye. "So... are you?"

I drew in a deep breath and
let it out slowly
. “Kevin’s a good man and
I like where things are going between us.”

So you’re settling? Come
on, Sidney. How can a woman as gorgeous and strong-willed as you
settle? I saw how you stood up to your drunk ex the other night.
You’re not a settler. Yo
u need to stop
caring about what people may say or think and follow your heart.
Life's too short to spend it trying to please others. You need to
do what makes you happy.”

I let out a soft
moan
and then another when Cade leaned in
and his lips began to nibble and suck the curve of my neck. I
gripped the sides of the washing machine behind me. The violent
shivers running from the bottom of my feet to the tip of my head
were making it difficult for me to remain standing or coherent, but
I managed to get a few words out. “And what... according to you...
will make me happy?”

Me,” Cade whispered
against my skin, very matter-of-factly and with a hint of smugness
in his voice.

That’s very presumptuous
of
you," I scoffed, still pretending I was
in control of the situation. "You don’t know anything about me. If
you knew anything about me, you'd know I’ve moved on from you. I
don’t have any feelings for you. I don’t even think about you
anymore.”

A chuckle roared in Cade’s
chest as he pulled away from my neck and his eyes found
mine.
"You know, all those things you just
said would've been really convincing if you hadn't been moaning and
writhing beneath me while you said them. You’re such a terrible
liar, Sidney. It’s kind of adorable actually. How can you say
you’re over me when you’re practically convulsing and I’ve barely
touched you?” He studied my face, daring me to tell him more lies.
When I didn't, he curled a finger under the strap of my dress and
began to drag it down my arm ever so slowly. “I can see it in your
eyes how badly you want me, Sidney. The look on your face now is
the same one you had that night in your house when I made you
mine.”

Please, Cade.
W
e can’t…,” I whimpered, my voice almost
inaudible.

Cade leaned in to kiss the
top of my shoulder, but
his lips didn’t
stay there long. Suddenly, they were on the swells of my breasts,
scorching them with a series of tender, moist open-mouthed kisses.
I tightened my grip on the washing machine, afraid that my legs
were going to give out at any second. My breathing grew more and
more labored with every torturous kiss. “Please, Cade. Someone
could find us here. You need to let me go,” I pleaded with eyes
fixed on the door. I could hear the sounds of voices, doors
slamming and footsteps in the distance. I had my heart in my throat
every time those sounds got a little too close.

I’m not holding you here
against your will, Sidney. You’re free to go any time you want.”
Cade continued to slide the strap of my dress down until my breast
popped out from under the fabric. When his lips closed around my
taut nipple and swirled around it, I let out a sharp breath and
almost passed out from the pleasure. I bit
down on my bottom lip while a wave of high voltage
electricity coursed through me. My pussy was soaked and throbbing
with need. My ache for him was borderline painful.

Go ahead, Sidney. There’s
the door. Leave,” Cade whispered, holding my nipple between his
teeth and giving it a gentle tug after each sentence he spoke. “Go
back to your lame boyfriend. Go back to him and be miserable for
the rest of your life. Go…”

I couldn’t
spe
ak, let alone walk the short distance
to get to the door. All I could do was pant and whimper while his
tongue continued to do some wicked things to my poor nipple. I
threw my head back, pushing my breast into his mouth, forcing him
to swallow as much of it as he could. He had me. He knew it and I
knew it.

That’s what I
though
t,” Cade said against my nipple, his
voice laced with smug laughter. Without warning, he straightened
up, gripped the nape of my neck, and crushed my lips with his. He
and I had shared some mind boggling kisses before but that one was
in another stratosphere of hotness. He pushed my mouth into his
until he couldn’t push anymore. He kissed me like a man who had
been wandering in the desert for days and had just found an oasis
in my mouth. Our tongues wrestled each other. He grunted into my
mouth and I moaned inside his. The lust we felt for each other was
too much for that little room to contain.

Suddenly
, everything vanished: his mother, the neighbors, Kevin, my
guilt, my fears, my obsession with being Ms. Perfect. The world
could have ended at that moment and I wouldn't have cared one bit.
I yanked the baseball cap off Cade's head and it tumbled to the
ground. I needed to feel the softness of his hair under my fingers.
I needed to tug that gorgeous mane while his mischievous tongue
continued to toy with mine. I felt his hands sneaking behind my
butt and next thing I know, he had hoisted me on top of the washing
machine. He did it with hardly any effort and without interrupting
our amazing kiss. He nestled between my legs, drawing my hips
towards him and wrapping my legs around his waist.

I held on to Cade, afraid
that if his lips left m
ine, I’d stop
breathing and die. I kept my eyes shut because I didn't want to
open them and discover that I had dreamt it all. They say the first
step toward recovery is admitting you have a problem. Ladies and
gentleman: My name is Sidney MacDougal and I’m addicted to Cade
Fisher’s lips. Yes, I was hooked, but I didn’t want a cure. Not
anymore. Not ever.
